HAPPY 2024 FOLKS

Kickstarting the year with some good ol'stableboys!

Redrew that scene from Spirited Away with Chihiro and Haku to commemorate the year of the dragon!

Yea so in the chinese zodiac, 2024 is the year of the dragon (6th place)

Honestly this was originally just supposed to be a doodle, but as always, it kinda escalated from there 😅

I probably could've shaded wukong better...I mixed the big dark semi-opacity layer technique with painting it by hand and ehh, the four's not my best work

Problem was, making Wukong all shaded and furry made Ao lie look very flat in comparison so I just did some random strokes for the mane and considering his luscious long hair in og and the fact that Haku is quite furry, I made our favourite long noodle dragon fluffy!

I also used the same brush for the whiskers and snout as I did for the trees cause ig if you squint it kinda looks like scales...

(If anyone knows how to draw scales, pls let me know)

Also had to place on big blue layer on top like a filter, cause otherwise everything looked too saturated and bright for it to be nighttime

And I drew this all in one day, woo!

But anywho, what y'all think? And any dragons in the audience?

How would ilene and kong have their wedding? I feel like they'd have a human wedding and a great ape wedding.

It would take a lot for Ilene and Kong to invite them all for their wedding, but it doesn't mean they'll gonna put eggs in one basket.

There are a lot of preparations, the reception and the wedding's location (it should be safer), caterers, bunch of bouquets, etc. Let's not forget about the Iwi tradition.

Of course, Kong had invited all of the Great Apes (plus Shimo and Suko) to the event; they even brought some food that are common to their kind (Kong had to make sure they'll be in good manners).

Plus, Kong invited Godzilla and Mothra since he and the King were now in good terms all thanks to their teamwork. The King and Queen would never leave their precious adopted human daughter and Mothra Astra's human incarnation: Ma. Celestina, in this event, even Mothra Leo and Battra (emo edgelord needs to shut his mouth or his niece will beat him out of his daylights)

On Ilene's side, she invite only her family, friends, and peers (those who work at Monarch and would not attend this event are only used via Zoom Meeting live). She would never forget the Iwis, yes, Jia insisted it.

Let's see, about their outfit. It may be possible to have it wear an Iwi clothing, but this is another option. Kong would have at least fitted the tux in his human form. My choice is to have a normal wedding. After that, on the next day, there would be an Iwi ceremonial between them since Kong was the Protector and Guardian of the Iwis and the Humanity and the King of Hollow Earth (formerly Skull Island), Ilene must be his Queen. Tradition is a must.

Ma. Celestina has her own inquisitive skills of tailoring ("That's my daughter!" Godzilla laughed gleefully).

It was a very unique wedding for them. There would be lots of joy, tears, happiness, and a blissful celebration. I mean, their guests were a mix of humans and the apes, but still it was like they coexist to one another in harmony and peace.

Adopted, against his majesty's will. King Bumi was reaching the average lifespan age and hadn't appointed his heir, one of familial link or otherwise. So I, an Orphan off the streets of Ba Sing Se, was chosen from a few other Earth Bending Orphans and shipped off as a birthday gift to the king of Omashu.

He was a lot more accepting of some random kid suddenly becoming his son than I first expected, then I spent 20 years around him and quickly realized it was a very in character reaction for him.

🎉 - Favorite holiday to celebrate together?

I don't enjoy Holidays as King Bumi will often use them as an excuse to avoid very important work.

He can't sign this very urgent decrees he has to help the city decorate for the Winter Solstice. He'll have to miss that Very Important meeting with the Ba Sing Se generals because it's the 3rd day of the Lunar New Year. Couldn't possibly pass judgment on a captured criminal today it's Badge Mole Day.

Sometimes I think he makes up holidays as an excuse to avoid his duties just because he likes making my life harder.
