update: unfortunately, the game did not reach the mythical 6OT (it ended in the fourth, the sixth longest NHL game in history) but on the other hand, the panthers won and keep winning which means at least we get victory rats…

The story of the rats goes back to Oct. 8, 1995. Prior to a game against the Calgary Flames, a rat appeared in the Panthers’ locker room in the old Miami Arena. Former Panthers’ captain Scott Mellanby jumped up, grabbed a stick, and smacked the pesky rodent against a wall. Later that night, Mellanby scored two goals, leading then Panthers’ goalie John Vanbiesbrouck to quip, “He scored a rat trick”.

another update: the panthers are in the stanley cup finals. we’re four panthers wins away from seeing the stanley cup on ice surrounded by rats.

About Matthew colliding with Fleury he joked he'll have to talk to Matthew about that because you can't fo that to a legend like him! All in jest! But defends Matthew there that there was nothing in it & he was only going to the net to score nothing else was intended.

He was asked who Matthew and Brady learned their chirps from he said 'their sister' definitely not from him or Chantal!

Keith says Brady isn't really good at chirping he wants to get to straight to fighting, chirping that's Matthew's thing.

He said Brady is the sweetest guy off the ice and he's their politest kid but turns into a lunatic on the ice!

He said he's looking forward to seeing them play in the 4 Nations together to see how it goes because Matthew will have his little brother, then clarified it to younger brother 😄 to back him up!
