so that was what's going on. another angle here.. damn marchy making some insane firsts: waiting by the bench door while giving tappies to the guys. then whatever this was―falling to his knees or smth. but was actually falling cause he got hit by a squishy rat twice (by roddy and sasha).. but also a rat being hit by a rat. why would u do this to him (marchy), THAT'S HIS CHILDREN!!!

I wanted to hate this but I just cannot. He’s the reason I love hockey so much. I will always love the bruins, but Marchy is hockey to me. He is joy and whimsy and being a dirty rat but also wicked skilled and I just love him. I can’t mourn him anymore. Sweeney done fucked up, but that doesn’t mean Marchand needs to hide in a corner. Get it, Marchy. No matter what sweater you’re wearing.

I am not sure if anyone posted these photos of Brad from March 28th, the first game he played with the Panthers.

I wanna say, the way I look him, he is perfect for drawing, like, he is a perfect art reference for drawing hockey players?? Or, a person in general, but, something about him, makes him sooooooo drawable.
Maybe, it's his face, his body, the way he plays hockey, or the angles we get the photos of him.
Or, maybe, I love him a little too much and dearly that I can stare at him for a very long time to figure out what to draw.
It's just a small thing that has been in my mind.

time to manifest this
update: unfortunately, the game did not reach the mythical 6OT (it ended in the fourth, the sixth longest NHL game in history) but on the other hand, the panthers won and keep winning which means at least we get victory rats…

The story of the rats goes back to Oct. 8, 1995. Prior to a game against the Calgary Flames, a rat appeared in the Panthers’ locker room in the old Miami Arena. Former Panthers’ captain Scott Mellanby jumped up, grabbed a stick, and smacked the pesky rodent against a wall. Later that night, Mellanby scored two goals, leading then Panthers’ goalie John Vanbiesbrouck to quip, “He scored a rat trick”.
another update: the panthers are in the stanley cup finals. we’re four panthers wins away from seeing the stanley cup on ice surrounded by rats.
