I was there! It really did go down that way. They had to wait several minutes to finish introducing the rosters! This was a pretournament game between Canada and Russia hosted in Pittsburg for the 2016 World Cup of Hockey. It was actually the 2nd game of a double header, with Team North America (aka the young guns) vs Czech Republic as the matinee game. These were the first games in PIT after the Pens won the 2016 Stanley Cup, so this was also the first time since then that Sid and Geno were on the ice in front of Pens fans.
