It’s still wild to me that agents of shield started doing time travel plotlines and handled it by coming up with the necessary set of time travel rules and mechanics to stick to and then having the characters explain it to us (and each other) in very simple/easy to understand terms to make sure we were all on the same page and could follow the plotlines they were setting up

And then a few years later the mainstream mcu decided to start doing time travel stuff and it was such a complete mess that (not only did the majority of fans and casual watchers alike leave the movie theater confused about/unable to follow endgame’s concepts/rules of time travel) but also the people who made the movie couldn’t even seem to figure out how it worked. Like seriously who else remembers all those interviews in the weeks after endgame was released where all the writers/directors/execs/etc were all doing interviews and taking turns trying to explain wtf happened in endgame (particularly in regards to Steve returning to the past/being Peggy’s og husband all along/making a new non-og timeline to marry her/I could keep going) and all of their explanations were completely different and contrasting each other wildly (which is absolutely ridiculous and seems kinda unprofessional for the team behind one of the biggest movies/franchises ever like cmon guys get it together)

Anyway shoutout to agents of shield for always being generally amazing and specifically for handling time travel *way* better than the mcu

#and then marvel clearly made aos shoehorn daniel into their last season #purely to try and tie up agent carter loose ends #and don’t get me wrong I LOVED seeing Daniel again #but even their implications that agent Carter happened but Daniel and Peggy were never a thing #even tho we saw them fall in love and get together in the finale #and I guess Steve came back and married Peggy at some point after she moved on and fell for Daniel #or that maybe agent Carter as we know it didn’t really happen exactly like that bc Steve would’ve been there too??#like that doesn’t make sense #and I like that aos seemed to just bring him on board and not try to overexplain the obvious discrepancies etc #as they should bc that’s not their mess #we deserved agent carter season 3 #peggysous forever #but anyway I’ve been rewatching aos recently #and this show is everything to me #I love it sm #deserves every bit of credit it ever got #(and every bit it didn’t)#aos appreciation post #aos #agents of shield #anti endgame #mcu #marvel tv #marvel #time travel

frankly, the people whose kneejerk reaction to bisan asking for a global strike form the 21st-28th is to say that it takes years to organize a general strike are really unhelpful! no one is saying otherwise, but palestine will be a smoking crater if we all wait for years to do anything - bisan is asking us to do something now. Like are we only supposed to do something if we can do it perfectly??? At some point it’s a valid critique about the work that goes into social movement, and at another point I feel like some people are just trying to absolve themselves from not putting any effort into observing a week of economic inaction.

like idk! I get it, okay! People have bills to pay that don’t magically go away for a strike, we don’t have nearly enough social infrastructure in place to support people to fully stop going to work for a week. But fuck, dude! Stop immediately responding in such a defeatist way! Cut out unnecessary purchases! Try to shop local! Put more effort into promoting Palestinian voices online! Attend a protest, call a local rep, do something!

Thought Fiddlestan was a purely comedic ship for a while but now I get it, I see the light. It’s about a man who nurtures and cares for others to the point of heartbreak meeting a man who doesn’t remember what it’s like for anyone to care about him. It’s about them being warm together around the absence of someone they both love. It’s about Fiddleford’s innate domesticity comforting a man whose deepest desire was to come home. It’s about falling in love with the same face again but in a new context that heals your past trauma. It’s about Stan’s unbridled affection finally validating someone who desperately needed the recognition. It’s also about very funny old man yaoi.

#it also completely works in canon if it ends poorly and they both get their memories wiped which is maybe the funniest part #stan my man you do not remember being El Gee Bee Tee but you know who else doesn’t remember? The funniest thing in the world to me is when people write mermaids that are bothered by humans eating fish. Like do you think fish don’t eat each other? The ocean is full of little freaks that will eat whatever or whoever the fuck will fit in their mouths. If the mermaids haven’t been eating fish this whole time what do you think they’ve been eating? If the answer is humans, that doesn’t make it any less funny. They’ll eat the species that looks like the top half of them but won’t eat a species that looks like the bottom half? Peak comedy.

despite Laios low self esteem making him think that if he’d been eaten, Chilchuck and Marcille wouldn’t have helped Falin,

theres a small part of me that thinks the reason Chilchuck stayed with the party and went back in the dungeon in the first place was because he didn’t want to leave Laios alone. That Laios was moreso the reason he stayed.
