What if they return as the master instead? 👀

Is wearing the face of a lost friend that the doctor had pseudo-romantic tension with to guilt/torment/ manipulate the doctor not exactly something the master would do? That’s kind of just their whole deal already really, this would just be that little EXTRA bit fucked up.

The Master starts to assess the situation(and body) he’s found himself in. Amy Pond also gets to know the Master, whether she wants to or not :^) .

Pretty much exclusively an Amy Pond and the Master chapter, with minimal Doctor appearances and mentions (though he is here).

Chapter 2 (Small Talk) is finally posted and is much larger than expected, which I cannot in good faith apologize for. The Master is starting to discover a lot about himself. Amy is starting to discover that she probably doesn’t like the Master. He’s probably doing fine.

imagine: you get your memories back after years of amnesia to find out your whole species is dead and earth doesn’t exist anymore. that the only thing left of your culture is your weird ex and his busted honda civic that barely even works that he stole from the government when he was 13. And he’s been taking members of an alien species for trips in his honda civic and they’re all like “woah it’s so cool” and you get upset because it’s NOT COOL it’s a honda civic, the turn signals don’t even work “wow it can go up hills” yeah OF COURSE IT CAN GO UP HILLS EVERY CAR COULD DO THAT. but they’ve never seen a car before so everything it does is the coolest thing ever. And your ex’s only tool is a fucking screwdriver which is somehow also cool to this dumbass alien species even though it’s a fucking screwdriver so you just look like an idiot screaming about how none of this is even cool it’s actually really shitty but your whole planet is gone so you can’t even prove it but also you’ve had a constant drumming sounding in your head since you were 10 slowly driving you insane. I would become evil too.

Called it!

The poem "Winning" from We Are Six Hundred is written from the perspective of Missy, with one of the illustrations having her showcasing a child (presumably hers) to her previous incarnations (excluding The Decayed Master).

This is a sly reference to a joke plan that Steven Moffett had alongside Russell T. Davies for the end of the former's rein as showrunner.

Who knows who the father would have been, my bet's the former prime minister, as how messed up that sounds.
