Frankenstan au in the 'Came back Wrong' trope, but it's just Ford not being able to understand the changes Stanley went through in the 10 years they spent apart. Why isn't his brother happy and carefree and confident? Why is his twin easily starled and defensive and scared? Ford is certain he did something wrong when bringing him back and that's why Stanley is so different.

Meanwhile, Stanley is shocked Ford went through the trouble of bringing him back; half glad, half disappointed. Glad, because well. His brother still cares. Disappointed because... he wasn’t all that mad about being dead. He feels like he's on borrowed time, and just goes allong with whatever Ford wants since he doesn’t exactly have anything else going on for himself. He is alive, but he wonders if he'll ever be living. But, by that logic, he's been dead for far longer than a few weeks.

Both have to navigate their own feelings of inadequacy to be able to connect and finally understand each other again.
