I fucking love in fics when the Doctor gets hurt and the Tardis has to help his companion (mostly in romantic contexts, but others too). 9 or 10 gets hurt and Rose and the Tardis communicate via their bad wolf connection so that Rose can help him? Absolutely, gimme 20 of em. 11 or 12 has a really bad day or smtn and Clara has to try to help him, and asks the Tardis for help? Fuck yes gimme that hurt comfort. Literally any version of the Master choosing to save the Doctor and help them instead of hurting them, and spending the entire time playfully bickering with the Tardis? 100% that is my shit. 13 getting knocked tf out and Yaz cluelessly begging the Tardis for help on how to care for a stupid time lord? Fuck yes. Give me more of the Tardis telepathically communicating with companions to help the Doctor when they're hurt. I eat that shit up every single time.

Rewatching Doctor Who’s ‘Utopia’ (I still think the Master instinctively grabbing the Doctor by the hand and running with him once again is unbearably tragic) and it’s honestly hilarious and sweet that the Doctor smiling at and agreeing with him is what first sets the drum flashbacks going in the Master’s head (aside from the discussion of space travel). Those two are so normal about each other, even fobwatched 😭.

rewatched extremis (s10e6) last night and i’m having feelings

the doctor’s horrified look when he’s told he’ll have to be the one to execute missy. he’s clearly in so much pain when she begs for her life and promises to “turn good”.

because he’s tried to give her that opportunity before and she refused, instead dying in his arms and causing him to once again be alone in the universe. and when she was inexplicably resurrected, she sacrificed herself to get revenge for the amount of insanity the time lords gave her.

and he cannot lose her again. he will not.

he’s standing in front of some of the deadliest people in the universe on a planet meant solely for execution, and yet he defies them by saving missy’s life. he swears to watch her for a thousand years, but that’s it. he cannot lose her again.

they’ve spent so long being best friends and worse enemies. they are tied together by fate. the last of the time lords, with only each other to cling to in this very long, very tragic life they’ve both had.

so despite knowing that she could very well be lying and could very well betray him again, as she has so many times, he believes her when she says “i am your friend.” though, it’s clear she means much more.

As someone who just watched the Timeless Child episode, and hasn't seen classic who or anything about the academy era, hearing Dhawan!Master say that him and the Doctor used to skip class together when they were young is killing me. I'm deceased. They were friends once. Can they just be friends again, just for a little bit? Maybe lovers as a treat? Just for me? Is that too much to ask?

imagine: you get your memories back after years of amnesia to find out your whole species is dead and earth doesn’t exist anymore. that the only thing left of your culture is your weird ex and his busted honda civic that barely even works that he stole from the government when he was 13. sometimes I wonder why twissy is the most popular thoschei and while yeah it's true that they're the more canonical ones I also can't help but think it's because they get along better. which for me is a tragedy cause I love when they hate each other. (I love twissy to death I'm just saying I also really love when they can't stand each other) Like sometimes twissy shippers aren't even thoschei shipper cause they dgaf about other versions, which can be fine, if you're obsessed with another version like I see a lot of people that only care about tensimm and while it kinda breaks my heart cause thoschei is insane in every form, I can't police what people do and ship!! have fun!!! Anyway the point was that the only-twissy people (not always, but sometimes!! I am not targeting you twissy shipper reading this !! unless you fit what I'm saying) don't care about other thoschei versions cause it's too messy and they hate each other but the point is exactly being messy and hating each other and I always fear they don't understand missy as they should. Which most of the time I'm right and they don't.
