I love the thought of the archives having what essentially amounts to a decontamination chamber, both for the sheer bafflement of the og archives crew upon its discovery and as a patently ridiculous logistical solution for all the characters who end up living there over the course of canon. it makes perfect sense given the general demands of the archival department but is nonetheless extremely silly to imagine in practice. you ask if they have showers and the answer is "yeah just make sure they're not set to acid wash"

one thing I think the later seasons make it very easy to forget about jon is that he has the potential to be incredibly, effectively mean when he wants to be. we hardly ever see it because by that point the self-loathing is turned up so high he'll hardly ever speak in his own defense let alone make direct attacks on others, but it is very important to me that we remember this is an expression of restraint rather than inability. and it's not just that he's capable of resorting to general verbal aggression. oh no. he will escalate to the most viciously personal attack he can conceive of right out of the gate and he'll do it in such a way where it doesnt even sound like an accusation, just an immutable fact. it doesn't matter what you did, he'll make it known that your entire worth as a human being is forfeit in his eyes. there is no lower setting. once he opens his mouth it's no holds barred. unfortunately from late s3 onwards there's next to nothing that will make him snap on someone he considers an ally and at this point something like 80% of my time thinking about potential magnus fic is dedicated solely to contriving ways to make this man say something incredibly fucked up. he deserves it and so do i.
