Lessons on healing:
Meet yourself where you're at. Don't expect yourself to be productive when you can barely get out of bed. Change into a new pair of pyjamas, make sure you have food nearby and watch a comforting movie. Does staying in bed make you anxious, but you can barely get up: throw some blankets and pillows on the ground and make yourself a little nest. Don't feel like you have to do everything right, sometimes "getting better" is also getting rest. Listen to what you need. Can't tolerate any self-love? Try to be neutral towards yourself for a day. You do what you can with where you are. Don't force or push, just meet yourself where you're at.
You're allowed to feel joy. You're allowed to be happy. You're allowed to use the word 'happy'. You get to claim joy. It's not wrong. It doesn't mean you are suddenly okay now and always have to be okay. You deserve little moments of joy, don't feel guilty, don't be scared of it. Allow it, let it (exist), appreciate it.
There is more to you than only the part that hurts. There is more to you than the parts that hold your pain and your trauma. There is so much more in you.
It is not the end. It does not end here. There is still so much out there. It will still get better and softer (again).
Sometimes the intense hurt will stay for a while. You can't make it dissappear, you can't push it away. But you can make yourself comfortable. To hurt does not mean to be without comfort.
You can be grieving and discover new things. You can be grieving and have happy moments. You can be grieving and fall in love. Your life doesn't have to be reduced to only grief or only pain. You can be/feel traumatized and in the middle of trying to deal with it and still have joy. Having trauma won't mean you can't be joyful again.

do mindfulness meditation and feel your body and mind calming down
move your body, no matter how as long as you’re enjoying
listen to music that matches the moment you’re in
eat nourishing food, feel your stomach full without discomfort
get a good night of sleep and feel yourself ready for another day

KIND REMINDERS 🤍
1. You are someone’s dream girl exactly the way you are right now.
We put so much emphasis on growth and getting to that “next best place”, which is fine, but we always forget that we deserve self-love as we are right now. It does not mean that you aren’t at your “best” physically and/or mentally that you aren’t deserving of love, kindness, and respect.
2. Perspective is everything
Stop stressing over that one bad grade you received at school. In ten years, you won’t even remember what teacher gave it to you. Focus your energy on things that’ll have lasting impacts. When you look back on your life, you want to see the beauty of it, not the anguish.
3. Growth isn’t linear
Don’t blame yourself for messing up. We aren’t perfect and we are bound to mess up every once in a while. Learn from your mistakes, and try to not repeat them. And if you do, that’s okay, there’s always another time. Growth has no time limit.
4. You are not a bad person
If you are sitting here constantly asking yourself if you are a bad person or underserving of love, I’m here to tell you one thing: bad people don’t worry about whether they are perceived as “good” or “bad”. Give yourself grace, and stop letting your overthinking consume you.

If you ever feel alone, unseen and useless, remember this: we touch the lives of people, even strangers, in ways we're not even aware of. You have no idea of the type of impact of your smile, a nice word, a nice gesture may have on the people you're mindlessly giving them too, be it on the daily (like eg. the employee at the market you usually go to) or once in a lifetime. You have no idea how much comfort you're sharing and how long that person is gonna keep your memory in their mind and heart. You have no idea you're being fundamental for them, even if for just a moment. That single moment may change everything for them.
Maybe one day you'll randomly meet again that person and they'll let you know how much you mean to them and how good you did for them. But even if not, please never think bad of you, never think you're not doing much and nobody cares about you. Many more people than you realize keep you and your memory dear in their heart. Please remember this everyday. You're important, more than you can imagine.
