Every cruel course of action she took was poetically motivated by the fear of Death in the same way Gwyn feared the Dark in the Souls series, as he took every chance to try and seal it away. Miyazaki’s overarching villains or morally corrupt gods are almost always driven by fear.

My take on a revived clover AU

I like to think that monsters preserved the human children as a sort of remembrance using similar magic to their food since it doesn’t expire, but since humans have more physical matter it only delays rotting rather than completely stopping it, and since clover had died being much less harmed because they gave up their soul rather than getting murdered they get to be the first to come back with minor changes since they didn’t rot that much and their internal organs stayed in tact.

Also in this au flowey kinda goes MIA on frisk and doesn’t wanna be friends/isn't ready to talk to them juuuuust yet, clover’s kind of an exception though :D which also means frisk doesn't reaaallly know about clover til weeks later cause clover isn't ready to face martlet starlo or anyone else until they feel ready, dying and choosing to be alone as a 12 year old can be not great for the brain

Flowey is technically clovers guide through the underground but is still trying to get the other humans to wake up so he’s kinda busy but will know if clover is near a save like in game.

I might give this clover figerless gloves to hide the more human-lookin' skin

Clover is actually essentially sneaking around places like waterfall and snowdin town, staying places that have small shops and less people that would be able to recognize them

Stages of Decomposition #1

First Stage: Autolysis

once death has occurred and the internal organs are no longer functioning, there is leftover CO2 (carbon dioxide), due to the organs that can clear any waste ceasing to operate. this leads to the body’s pH becoming acidic. studies have shown that over the course of approximately 20 hours post-mortem, the pH of the corpse will change from 7.0 to roughly 5.5. this drastic change in pH is harmful to cell membranes within our bodies, which may lead them to become damaged and allows the enzymes within the body to roam freely.

these enzymes then begin breaking down the cells, essentially eating them away, causing the stage of decay known as autolysis (also known as self-digestion).

during this time, other death states are likely to also occur, such as livor mortis (post-mortem hypostasis - basically the blood pools in areas of the body due to it no longer being pumped round and gravity now causes it to rest in place, this may cause dark patches on the body where the blood is resting) and rigor mortis (post-mortem rigidity - the body becomes almost frozen and stiffens, which is caused by the levels of ATP being severely decreased).

entomology is also an important post-mortem factor, as the study of which insects eating the cadaver and how many generations of said insect are living in the orifices, helps to determine the post-mortem interval (time of death).

RAINCODE SICKFIC FINALE (SPOILERS)

My awaited finale to my RainCode Sickfics of the Heart Series is finally done at last!! This took me a couple of months to put together but I figured since I mentioned it months before and delayed it, I had to get it done as my next project. It's the MakoYuma sickfic where Yuma takes care of a seriously ill Makoto.

This fanfic is officially my longest RainCode fic to date, even beating HIWTHI's word length, so make sure to read it only if you have time! It's the final sequel to that fic as well.

Be Warned: This fic is on the angsty/extreme side with a few trigger warnings. Such as Vomiting, Psychological Trauma and Implied Suicide. Please take caution/care if you read!

Your small fic where Makoto age regresses when he got stressed gave me some good thoughts for writing Makoto's delirious behavior. Although I'm not a huge fan of age regression, reducing Makoto to a vulnerable and needy child-like state when super ill was a lot of fun! I love the idea of him being reduced to that since he never could be a child (and he is 3 freaking years old lmao)

Stages of Decomposition #2

Second Stage: Bloating

Once autolysis has occurred, the bacteria within the body begin to produce various gases, these include gases such as ammonia, methane, carbon dioxide, etc. which result in the body bloating - during this time the body can temporarily double in size.

At this stage of the process, putrefaction will begin being produced, as well as the discolouration of skin and the presence of specific insects that have been drawn to the corpse by the odours being released.

The insects present on a corpse allow for the Post-Mortem Interval (PMI), also known as the time of death, to be determined via the study of forensic entomology. Certain species of insects will only be present upon a corpse within certain stages of the decomposition process. The species, as well as how many generations of these insects exist within the orifices of the body, allow for us to discover how long a body has been deceased.
