hi i have some funny rot varieties :]
1. Red rot - a naturalized strain that is found in a few regions near Whispers of Light and Corals at Sea. Red rot is harmless (except for the spikes) and eats insects, which it catches by being extremely stinky. Usually red rot clumps are stuck in the ground but if bothered too much they’ll uproot themselves and try to run away.
2. Malware rot - a strain created by Shards of Orange Crystals for basically a murder attempt against Visions from Windows and Tempest of Rain. Malware rot is extremely virulent and fast-growing. In addition to having sharp hearing, it has very weak vision (can only discern light/dark) and has grabbies that are used to climb on things and to infect other lifeforms.
3. Cascading longlegs/cascading rot - a strain that is basically malware rot but edited by a supernatural moon-affiliated entity. It is only found in/around Visions from Windows. Instead of X’s the cores have crescents, which drip tears. Cascading longlegs are harmless but have a habit of picking up creatures that catch their attention. It is possible to steer a CLL by pulling on its tendrils, meaning it can serve as a rather awkward vehicle.
4. Comparison between normal, malware rot-infected neurons, and cascading rot neurons. Unlike DLLs, malware rot can infect neurons. The cascading rot neurons exist thanks to the same event that created the rest of the cascading rot.

the idea of a capsule wardrobe is so fucking bonkers to me cuz they're like
"you should only have 30-60 items"
and you're like wow that sounds tough
amd then you find out that that's PER SEASON and also doesn't include underwear and socks and pajamas and whatnot
and suddenly you're just like??? that's just a normal fucking amount of clothes???
they make it sound like it's some Revolutionary Minimalist Idea but it's just how normal people dress i think
"every item should be versatile and work in more than one outfit!" is that not how most people shop? like, we don't have money for one-outfit-wonders; that shirt better look good with at least two pairs of pants that we own or it's not worth it

I have always imagined what heaven might look like; brilliant and shining ivory, a place where peace is tangible and rest is eternal. Maybe, if the scriptures were right, I’d face the pearly gates, surely intricate in make and gorgeous, and be told of my kindness and good heart. I never thought much of angels, but company seems like it would be expected. Maybe another soul, dressed in comfortable whites, with a gentle voice welcoming me to my final home.
What heaven turns out to be, once my mind wakes, is a run-down shack with gaps of sunlight peeking through both the uneven roof and gaps in the wooden walls. A peasant home, judging by the clothes folded over the back of a chair, the hand-carved bowls, the simple kitchen. Sprinkles of dust shine in the gaps of sunlight, a poor man's imitation of fickle snowfall. If not for the warmth and knowing summer to be right around the corner, I might have assumed it was.
The shack only contains a square single room, generous in size for being a peasants house, but cramped for someone to comfortably live with another. Houses like this are unfamiliar to me, and the bleakness of it momentarily takes me so far away that I make no note of the bed pushed up against the corner behind me.
“Hideous, isn’t it?”
The bed, strangely fine amongst the rest of a house, is occupied by layers upon layers of felts and pillows, and a single frail-looking woman. Her hair is cut short, like a man's, and her skin is almost transparent. Her cheeks are gaunt, and the circles under her eyes are so dark it could be mistaken for coal or dirt.
Despite her wretched appearance, her eyes are brilliant and vibrantly green.
“It’s…” I begin, choosing carefully what to say, “...quaint.”
The woman looks slightly older than I, but it’s hard to tell due to her seeming poor health. She smiles at my words, leaning back into the large bulk of pillows and closing her eyes. “Flattery has no place here,” she says, voice faint. The way she speaks makes it seem like she’s fighting to keep herself from coughing. “You look like a fine woman. I’m sure this place is as quaint as a cave to you.”
She’s correct, although admitting to it feels rude. I would rather not begin my afterlife with arrogance, no matter how much my husband would have encouraged it.
“Where am I?” I ask, awkwardly wringing my fingers behind my back.
The woman hums. “Would you like to sit? Grab one of the chairs, and come here. I can’t see you well over there.” She opens her eyes and waves towards one of the chairs tucked into the sides of the dining table. “My husband won't be back for another hour. Come, come.”
I contemplate my options but eventually decide there is no harm in resting, too. I grab the chair with no clothes slung over it and drag it over towards the bed, tucking my dress between my knees and sitting down.
The woman smiles at me, again, before turning back to her pillow and closing her eyes. “So, then,” she says. “Where might you be from?”
“The city,” I say. “My husband owns a store there.”
She hums. “What kind?”
My wedding ring is a comforting weight on my finger, even though I cannot recall ever putting it on this morning. It’s golden and simple, and surely enough to buy this house ten times over. “A hat shop at main square.”
The woman seems to think for a moment. “Might your husband be Arthur King?”
“Um,” I say, momentarily stunned. “I— yes. Do you know him?”
She shakes her head. “Not personally. You must be Mrs. King, then?”
“Shirley,” I say. “How do you know of my husband?”
She opens her eyes but does not stare at me. Gaze fastened on the wall in front of her, she says, “My daughter is a big fan of his work.” Her tone isn’t sombre, but distant. “Before I fell ill, I would take her to your shop and we would try out some of the hats together. Pretending to be nobles, and all that.”
I try to think back on all our customers throughout the years, but no face in my memory matches the woman. “Really?”
She laughs breathlessly. “Yes, but it was a long time ago. My daughter has long since moved away from here. Now it’s just my husband and I.”
I lean back in the chair and allow myself another inspection of the house. There’s a large, burly winter coat tossed over a chair and pushed away from the middle of the room, and an extra pair of winter shoes placed beside a smaller pair of worn sandals by the door.
“Is he not home?” I ask.
The woman keeps smiling, but she gains an air of melancholy. “I’m sure you would know that better than I.”
I turn back towards her. “What do you mean?”
For the first time since I’d arrived, the woman turns to stare at me. She’s no longer smiling, and her vibrant eyes brim with pity. “It really is unfair,” she says, “to have to speak to me before the end. These days, my only company is the dead. I’m sorry.”
The last part is spoken with such genuine grief that for a moment I think she might have been the one to kill me. But no, I remember him with clarity. Large and strong—this woman’s complete opposite. But grief and pity from an innocent and sickly woman is uncomfortable, so instead of anything wise, I only say “It’s alright. You mustn’t worry. This is just how things go.”
The woman scoffs, looking perturbed. “Have you no regard for your life, young lady? Someone so young should not have to die so pathetically, and then spend their final moments on Earth talking to this poor, sickly old woman. Your kindness is misplaced, let me tell you.”
“For what reason should I blame you?” I ask. This woman is pleasant, and kind, and reminds me a bit of my mother. I wouldn’t want her to worry over something worthless, like my demise. “I know who killed me, and it was certainly not you.”
“You don’t understand, my lady,” she says, brows furrowed in annoyance. “I also know who killed you.”
She opens her mouth to elaborate further but stops herself when the door to the shack swings wide open and another person enters. The summer day outside is blinding, and I cannot parse any landmark of note before the door shuts once again. In the entryway, removing his shoes with care I could never imagine from him, stands the large burly man who had ended my life, only a few hours prior.
My mind recognises him as much as my body, and I feel the pain of his hands around my throat again. I can’t move. Has he come to end me again? Despite my body wanting nothing but, I stand and square my shoulders. My chair tips backwards and falls onto the floor. The man, despite the noise, does not react at all.
The woman on the bed shares none of my urgency. With a tone the man is undeserving of, she says fondly, “My foolish husband.”
Her husband neatly places his shoes together beside the smaller sandals and then stands at his full height. He’s much taller than my husband, but his face is rounder and gentler. It surprises me—I do not remember him being neither round nor gentle. At the moment, he’d been sharper than my Arthur. This man looks nothing like the killer I know him to be.
His gaze travels across the shack and I stop breathing as it falls on me. Then, as though I were not there, his eyes continue trailing until they stop and rest on the bed. He breaks out into a smile that could rival the one my husband wears each morning, and my heart aches.
He grabs the chair with the winter coat and places it beside the bed, in the space where I had just sat. My chair is no longer on the floor but has magically returned to the dinner table. He leans forward, hopping forward on the chair until his knees are pressed against the side of the bed. Then he gently clasps one of the woman's hands in his and presses it to his forehead.
“Eda,” he says, as fondly as the woman had called for him, “I’m sorry for being gone so long.”
The woman tuts. “You could have been gone a bit longer,” she says, but she smiles as she speaks. “Can’t you see I have company?”
The man does not react to her voice, lowering her hand to rest above the bed covers. “But I had good reason today,” he says, letting go of her hand and removing something from his pant pocket. He pulls out a small little thing that reflects the stray sunlight, and I have to lean forward to make out the shape of it. I recognise it like I had recognised him.
My wedding ring. My beautiful golden ring, from my beloved Arthur. The woman stares at it with untold grief. I stare at her with barely withheld rage. The man continues talking to his wife, but I spare little thought to his words.
The woman’s entire body stills of breath and her shoulders slump. “My husband loves me very much,” she says, voice sullen. “And my health has left him confused and desperate. You are only one of many to have fallen for my sake, I’m afraid.”
I stare at her, clenching and unclenching my fists. I no longer feel the weight of my wedding ring around my finger. “And yet you turn a blind eye to his deeds?”
The woman sighs, eyes trained on her still-talking husband. “These days, I can barely stay awake long enough to eat, let alone talk to him. What am I to do? Forgive me my selfishness,” she says, glancing at me, “but I also want to live. I don’t know what else—”
She falters, her words stopping short. Her gaze moves from me to the open palm of her hand lying in her lap. She splays out her fingers a little wider. Her husband keeps talking.
“Everyone wants to live,” she says. “I’m not unique in wanting that. And—I am sorry for the pain my foolish husband has caused you and your family. But…” Her gaze sharpens, and the vibrancy of her eyes make them almost shine. “These are our circumstances. I will live with these regrets until I die. And when I die, too, let your hatred go with it. If there comes a day when I can leave this bed, I swear I’ll make sure to let your husband know of everything.”
“Am I not allowed hatred for your husband?” I ask. I do not want to hate this woman.
The woman scoffs. “Allowed? Who cares about that? I’m asking you to hate me instead. I’ve put my husband through so much already. If your hatred is the one thing I can spare him, I will. Besides—” she tilts her head to the side, as though gazing out a window that isn’t there, “I’m sure someone else will come tomorrow, harbouring even more hatred. And I will ask them, too, to turn their wrath towards me. Not because I am deserving of it, but because I welcome it.”
She turns to me, eyes brilliantly green. “I wish for you to go quietly into the night. If that’s not something you’d like, forgive me. This is hard on all of us.”
“And yet, you live,” I scoff.
“And yet,” the woman agrees, “I live. But not for long. If you have nothing else to say, the door is unlocked.”
Her husband stops his exhausting tirade, standing from his chair with glee. He pushes it back from the bed and staggers upward, crossing through the shack to the small makeshift kitchen, rooting through drawers. I stare, and I think.
I love my husband very much. I wonder if I will miss him in heaven. I wonder if he will miss me, stuck on Earth. Then, somewhat morbidly, I think: would he do all of this for me?
Probably not. My husband is a dull man. Things pass through him like grains through a hand. If I were to fall ill, he would continue as always. Even now, I’m sure my passing won't be enough to deter him from living his life.
Momentarily, the thought angers me. Why not, I think. Why wouldn’t you do all of this for me? Do you not love me enough? But it is a foolish thought. I do not want my husband to fall apart for me. I would have liked to live a little bit longer, though, so he could have a portrait of me above the mantle.
“Continue living,” I say, staring at her husband as though my words are for her. “And make sure my wedding ring sells for at least eight hundred sterlings. If your husband sells it for any lower, I’ll come back to haunt you until your final day.”
The woman laughs, fully from her chest. It rings clear and true, betraying her sickly appearance and scratchy voice. “That, at least, I can do. Thank you for your company, Shirley King.”
I know her name is Eda, but it does not feel right on my lips. Instead, I offer her a nod and then, without looking back, I walk across the room and open the door to the outside.
It turns out when you die you don’t face your own God, but instead face the God of whomever or whatever killed you.

Okay, to counteract all my complaining, here are some (lore friendly) mods that I just like a lot (no animals, people, weapons/armors, mesh/texture replacers, etc. because there's too many and it gets boring.)
-
Ghosts of the Deathbells: adds a really rare, somber event to picking a deathbell flower.
Falmeroon: adds Snow Elf ruins to some remote edges of the map. I've made an unofficial SE port here.
Snow Whale Bones: adds the remains of Snow Whales in some mountainous areas (iffy canon but sorry they are Cool.)
Windmills of Skyrim: adds windmills with unique, custom-painted sails to farms.
Scarecrows of Skyrim: adds scarecrows to farms.
Scribes of Skyrim: makes books and notes use a variety of typefaces (any fellow Pentiment fans out there?)
The Old Ways-Nordic Religion: adds totems representing the Nordic pantheon around Skyrim. Has patches for the next recommendation.
The Great Towns/Villages series: overhauls the smaller, worldspace towns in a really cool way, includes voice-acted NPCs. Personally, I like Kynesgrove the best because it actually adds to the lore about the Nordic pantheon. For Shor's Stone, I recommend this mod as well.
Redbag's Rorikstead: I like this mod over Great Village's version because the houses have sod roofs and I'm a sucker for sod roofs.
Capital Windhelm Expansion: adds some really thoughtful lore touches (Dunmer refugees outside the walls, an Arena, and a cool vampire quest)
Relic of Dawnstar: adds a Gehenoth skull to the White Hall (requires Cities of the North), inspired by the lore of the Travels game
Environs series: thoughtful additions that makes certain places change over time.
WiZKid's mods: especially Lund's Hut, Lively Farms, Icy Windhelm, Pinewatch, Hall of the Dead Stained Glass Windows, and Pavo's House. Sepolcri is also pretty good but loses immersion points for using celtic cross gravestones. You can pry Lanterns of Skyrim II from my cold, dead hands, though. Lux? Idk her, LoSII is my bestie.
Fancy Sleeping Tree Replacer: the Sleeping Tree is supposed to be a remnant of the sentient trees of the flying city of Umbriel (from the novels.) It should be weird, is what I'm saying, and this mod makes it alien and beautiful.
Unique Culture Riverwood: a mod that gives Riverwood its own style of farmhouse and a little more personality. The author has also made a mod for Falkreath.
Immersive World Encounters: adds more and edits World Encounters, including encountering faction NPCs out and about (ex. the Companions outside of Whiterun doing Companion-y things in the wilderness).
Glorious Doors of Skyrim: adds some really cool doors. 'nuff said.
Redbag's Dragonreach: adds some unique flair to Jarl Ballin's crib.
Cultured Orc Furniture: replaces generic furniture in Orc Strongholds with custom furniture.
Lavinia's Memorial: adds some gifts from her grieving parents to the little girl's grave in Falkreath. Ouch.
Nocturnal Moths: adds moths that spawn around lanterns at night.
Moons and Stars: fixes the positions of the stars and moons, as well as making moon phases consistent.
DK's Realistic Nord Ships: replaces Skyrim's ships with some gorgeous new models.
Morgenstern's Mushroom Circles: adds more fairy rings in the wilderness. Delightful!
Bloodmoon Brodir Grove: makes the grove in Solstheim a little more like it was in the Morrowind DLC. The mod author also has more mods that bring Bloodmoon details and locations to Solstheim.
Ships of the Horizon: does what it says on the tin.
EVG Animation Variance: the whole animation series by Everglaid is nice (haven't tried Traversal yet, but that is some incredible technology) but I especially like this one for the old people animations
jasperthegnome's houses: these are SO cozy and comfy.
Arctic- Frost Effects Redux: makes frost spells have cooler effects (including 3D ice spikes)
Northern Roads- Let Me Guess Someone Stole Your Sweetroads: a plugin that cuts down on Northern Roads, removing all the landscape changes and bridges and just keeping the clutter. Way more compatible than the original mod.
Skyrim Bridges: this is my favorite bridge mod. There are many, but I like this one best.
Edit: forgot two tiny mods in my original post:
Nightcaller Temple Unique Shrine of Mara: replaces the generic shrine with a wooden shrine Erandur carved
Broken Tower Redoubt Unique Shrine of Dibella: similar to the above mod, but Reachmen carved this one.

I think my issue with the designs in both HH and HB is that most of the characters feel overdesigned and has so much detail, but at the same time they don't stand out. So many characters share the same color palate as the background and it makes frames feel busy, making it hard to focus on what is really happening. I saw a screenshot of a Full Moon scene where Blitz is interacting with a giant purple spider demon, and it took me so long to even try and figure out what is going on. Each characters stands out if you put them on a character sheet with no background or other character in it, but once it's placed in the actual show they feel like nothing.
It's mostly because the characters often have the same Vivziepop design tropes (bow ties, twig build, pointy teeth, excess amount of detail, same color palettes, etc) Repetitive designs causes them to blend in and not stand out with the other characters. It's why variety is important.
Tumblr media
As you said, the characters being the same color as the background doesn't help as well. It's bad enough that there's an excessive amount of detail (God bless those animators), but when everything is one color, it doesn't help.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(I couldn't even tell what was going on in these scenes. I can only imagine it's worse for those who are visually impaired or have color blindness.)
Tumblr media
The color palettes problem is ESPECIALLY prelevant here.
Out of all of these, I could easily guess Emily and Adam, as they had palettes that weren't all red (Funny how the characters with variety from the rest of the cast were the easiest to point out, interesting to think about).
Don't get me started on Helluva, though. That one took a while for me to differentiate between them.
I get they're imps and all, and they have a design scheme to stick to, but maybe have some variety in their designs?
And no, these ones don't count, as to the best of my knowledge, these weren't designed by Vivziepop.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Vic Aldis and everyone else who worked on these, I respect you all immensely. Keep up your amazing work.)
Even with a limited color palette, the artists still found a way to make it work and have their characters unique.

Hi do you have any advice for people who have found out their identity including social security number have been stolen? Cause guess what
Oof, I'm sorry that sucks.
I do, unfortunately, have experience with this. Since you said SSN, I'm guessing you're in the US, in which case IdentityTheft.Gov is where you need to go to figure out who to call and what to do.
Briefly, here's what you're probably going to have to do:
File a police report (ESPECIALLY if anyone has opened cards in your name). The police won't do anything but you need the report number to properly file stuff with credit agencies. You will probably have to be pushy about filing the report because they won't want to file the report.
Pull your credit report and see if anyone has applied for credit in your name; if so, you need to call the various places they applied for credit and contest the application.
Freeze your credit (so people can't apply for more stuff in your name).
Make sure nobody has fraudulently filed for your tax return.
Consider updating/replacing ID, depending on what's happened.
The individual steps to look through are here; the IdentityTheft.Gov website basically has a worksheet that you can move through. It's a huge pain in the ass and I'm sorry you're dealing with it.
And from a security perspective I'm going to say reset your passwords (starting with primary email account) and recommend making sure that you're using unique passwords with all your online accounts (by using a password manager - I recommend bitwarden) and set up 2FA on all of the accounts that will take it, because unfortunately the last 4 of your social are probably used to verify your ID on a lot of sties.
Good luck, and please give yourself some variety or other of treat or nice experience while you're wrestling with this.

I loveee how you draw iterator antennae,, please tell how do you design them?? Personally for me one of the hardest parts of designing iterators
Also - Love you art! Have a good day/night :)
Tysm <3
This one's tough, I don't really think too hard about how I design antennae. I just go with whatever looks right and fits the character lol but I'll try to talk about it anyways.
Moon and Pebbles are based off their in-game appearances. They have changes between depictions though so there's some wiggle room. Pebbles' is based off his sprite and Moon's off of one of her art pieces. (Her dull blue color is pulled from her sprite.) This seems to be popular in fan depictions too.
Tumblr media
Sig and Suns are also based off official depictions. Sig I took some more liberties with - he really should have rounder, more protruding headphone bases. But I wanted some variety in headphone bases and he kind of just... ended up with a geometric shape theme to match his diamond mark. This is their only official image, so I just shrugged and gave them some broad small antennae that would be hidden at the back from this front angle, because I wanted to. (Bald Sig is valid but I like what I did hah)
Tumblr media
Suns is a mix between the in-game art and the concept art by (I'm never sure what name to use here, but the art listed on the wiki is by-) Minkimaro. Mine's gotten more blocky/volumetric antennae over time, and every time I draw them their collar gets bigger. It's an addiction. They have to be comfy.
Tumblr media
Wind and Innocence both have more unique antenna, and multiple segments. I wanted to balance them out with the others design-wise, but I wanted them to be distinct from each other too. So Wind gets these wide fan antenna and Innocence get triple thin antenna on joints.
Tumblr media
And here's some OCs for variety.
Tumblr media
I guess here's some stuff to chew on-
Shape, width, size of the base headphone parts
Shape, width, size of the antennae
How many antennae? Are the antennae all the same size/shape?
Embellishments (such as the extra details on Flicker's)
Does the design suit the character's look? If they can emote with the antennae, how does that fit their personality?
If it matters to you, how do your antenna work, mechanically speaking? If they can move, do they have ranges? For example - Suns' antennae have great horizontal range, but they can't fold them down past their headphone bases.

If you're even vaguely familiar with Kirby, there is no doubt in anyone's mind that one of the most iconic abilities is Parasol. It's a unique ability, it gets a ton of merch, and it's cute, to boot!
Tumblr media
But when you think about it, there's not a whole lot of enemies for Parasol, is there? There's a lot of enemies that hold Parasols, there's the Parasol itself, which may or may not be sentient, but Parasol doesn't bring a wide variety of enemies to mind like, say, Fire or Spark might.
Believe it or not, there actually are a few enemies that give Parasol that neither HOLD a Parasol nor ARE "just" the Parasol...but they're wholly exclusive to a few games, and have not had a proper reappearance in the games since the SNES era. So, let me introduce you to all of them! Maybe there will even be some you like, or wish would come back!
But first, an honorary mention...
Tumblr media
Name: Parasol (Kirby's Dream Land)
Debut: Kirby's Dream Land
You know it, you love it, it's...Parasol?!
That's right! Before it became the ability we all know and love, Parasol actually debuted in the same game Kirby did, which you might note did NOT have copy abilities! Like Waddle Doo and Sir Kibble, this is a classic example of an enemy that had an ability based around it, rather than vice versa.
I want to talk about specifically its iteration in this game, which is a bit different compared to future entries. First off and most noticeably, its appearance is wholly different! The hood is smaller and shaded but with no discernable pattern, the handle is thinner and the hook itself looks more rounded! Secondly, all Waddle Doos and Dees will let go of their parasol once they land, with none spawning while holding them or keeping them when they land anyway.
And another thing: you can't even dang inhale them when they're being held! The Waddler in question will be swallowed, but the Parasol will drift away or, in the Extra Game, even hone in on you! I told you they were debatably sentient! It actually does that in a few future games like Kirby's Adventure, but not nearly as commonly as it did in the original Extra Game. So strange!
OKAY OKAY time for what the post promised you now I promise. Hold my hand (and your Parasol) as I take you through The Parasol Enemies That Time Forgot:
Tumblr media
Name: Floaty the Drifter
Debut: Kirby's Dream Land 2
"Floaty the Drifter", not to be confused with Floaty the Cell Core, is such a wonderful name. "Floaty" would already be a sillily obvious name on its own, on par with names like Flamer and Chilly and Cappy, but adding "the Drifter" makes it even moreso. Is that its species? Its title? Is Floaty an individual? Probably not, we see multiple of them in the same level and often, and this is not like Vividria where it's canonically an individual that just so happens to be fought in pairs for gameplay, but it's funny to consider. Imagine if they followed through with other enemies, like "Spikey the Poker", "Burnis the Scorcher", "Elec the Trocuter"…
Floaty the Drifter actually acts as the main provider for Parasol in this game, wholly replacing the titular object itself except for when Kirby uses it. On its own, it doesn't do much floating OR drifting, instead hopping around in its own little world, kind of akin to Cappy, but it lives up to its name when a Waddle Dee holds it, in which...it will just act like a normal Parasol! Wholly and entirely. Even when dropped, it flies off rather than initiate its normal grounded behavior. I think I've heard some of them fly at you when released, but I can't think of any instances of that, and that's still a Parasol behavior anyhow.
As you can tell, Floaty the Drifter's claim to fame is in its unique design, bearing a single mischievous eye and a stark green coloration only seen in artwork. In fact, despite being a one-off mook, this would even grant it its own role in the anime!
Tumblr media
Floaty the Drifter, or just "Drifters" as they're called here (I guess it is a species!) are bought by King Dedede in the episode "Escargoon Rules" to attack Escargoon and his mother after presumably being "I'm With Stupid"’d all day. I did not watch the anime! According to the wiki, they're about as fragile as you'd expect a swarm of umbrellas to be, as while they swarm towards and wrap around victims, they are easily KO'd by Fire and knocked away by Kirby's own Parasol ability.
You might be wondering why, exactly, Floaty the Drifter even has one eye in the first place, considering that its role is largely the same as Parasol. To answer that, we'll have to move on to the next creature to feature:
Tumblr media
Name: Jumpershoot
Debut: Kirby's Dream Land 2
I bet you never expected an ability like Parasol to have its own, dedicated midboss, did you? And such a sophisticated one, at that! It's even one of the few Kirby characters with toes, for the freaks in the audience!
As you may have guessed, Jumpershoot and, to a lesser extent, Floaty the Drifter are both based on the kasa-obake, perhaps one of the most ubiquitous yokai! And this is despite not really ever having appeared in folktales, if ever. I was always under the assumption that the kasa-obake was a tsukumogami, an umbrella after it had lived for 100 years, but apparently even this isn't set in stone, either!
Jumpershoot first appears in Big Forest, the second world of the game, and guards Coo because...some reason! I don't think it's ever mentioned why the Animal Friends are kidnapped, they kind of just are! And as for Jumpershoot, does he work for King Dedede? Dark Matter? I don't know how employed midbosses are. Mr. Frosty is on the Halberd once.
Our favorite umbrella attacks by jumping and gently falling towards the ground, then makes a rapid, Tornado-like spin around the room that, after a bit, repels attacks! Then, rather than dropping Stars, he throws his own sandal at you that you can shoot back at him! Don't worry, it regenerates, so you don't have to feel guilty for robbing him of footwear!
I really really like Jumpershoot. And apparently, so did Shimomura, because he reappears in Kirby's Dream Land 3, acting much the same but with more detailed sprites! He's such...a cool character, you know? You wouldn't expect a Parasol midboss to be a yokai, of all things, especially one that acts so rowdy! I love him!
Sadly, as much as we'd all love to, there is no game where you can play as Jumpershoot. Tragic, but true! But...you can get a taste, a crumb of its rapid spin attack by having the Parasol ability while riding Coo, which makes Coo spin around invulnerably just as he does! And while he would later find himself joining the foray of midbosses abandoned after Kirby's Dream Land 3, Parasol Coo still appears in Kirby Star Allies, so his soul is still with us...
This would be the end of the road for Jumpershoot, in terms of games, but luckily for Jumpershootheads, he would make one final appearance in a piece of Twitter art, joining a medley of other monsters by spooking Channel PPP! He's still got it!
Tumblr media
Sadly, this wraps up the Jumpershoot section of this post, and thusly we have no more Dream Land 2 Parasol enemies to speak of. But don't worry, we still have more parasolic beasts in the next title...
Tumblr media
Name: Sasuke
Debut: Kirby's Dream Land 3
Although Floaty had a cute design, it's rather appropriate that the enemy that replaced the Parasol of Kirby's Dream Land would itself get replaced in Kirby's Dream Land 3, isn't it? But Sasuke is no mere living umbrella!
Sasuke's design might bring to mind Bumber for our veteran readers, and its behavior is much the same! It drifts down slowly and steadily, and starts walking back and forth on whatever block it lands on, just like Parasol Waddle Dee, but its hat never detaches, so it will never not give Parasol! Personally speaking, though, I think Bumber is MUCH more cute and memorable...sorry, Sasuke! At least you will always have Naruto to confide in.
Tumblr media
Sasuke also made an appearance in the anime, where he's built a lot more like Lololo & Lalala. Here, he draws a gun at King Dedede and Escargoon, an
Tumblr media
Name: Klinko
Debut: Kirby's Dream Land 3
The oddest Parasol appearance in both looks and functionality, and our final Parasol giver, is Klinko! It looks like it would give Cleaning if anything, with its hat reminiscent of a besom! It doesn't even drift down slowly like every other Parasol enemy does at some point–in fact, while it hops around, it doesn't share any traits with the Parasol ability at all, and is the only Parasol enemy like that! So, why does it give Parasol, then?!
Tumblr media
The answer is: it's not wearing an old broom, but actually a straw umbrella, because it's based on yet ANOTHER yokai! Shimomura seemed to think yokai were the future of the Parasol ability, and who wouldn't!
The amefurikozō, unlike the kasa-obake, has a bit more concrete lore, being children that appear in and sometimes cause rainfall, hence why they wear straw umbrellas. This is true of Klinko, too, as it appears in cloudy stages or stages with heavy snowfall! Its Japanese name, Kinko, might also suggest some relation to the separate yokai Yukinko, a child associated with heavy snow, which could also explain its tendency towards icy levels.
It's easy to see why such an unparasolic enemy would not be used any further, but I kind of like them more for it. They're an anomaly! Sure, this is essentially just Floaty the Drifter's hopping behavior, but the lack of any other Parasol attributes than just wearing an umbrella really make it stand out to me! And that's the beauty of these enemies—the longer Parasol goes without any new enemies, the more these guys will always stand out, and that's wonderful, I think!
What do you guys think? Is the time right for some of these guys to make a comeback? Is Parasol better with the limited enemies they use now? Or should they make new ones? Tell me! I can't do anything with your suggestions but I have nothing better to do than read them!

There's a new bar here that opened recently, but the staff all seem to be rather bookish and hipster-y, talking about their expensive craft beers and such. I was honestly hoping for a more... hypermasculine vibe. Just beer, sweat, and gay sex, but I don't think these people will give that to me.
I’ll admit, this one had me stumped for a little bit. Changing a person is never an easy task, but transforming an entire bar? That usually requires something much more drastic. I’ve talked about things that change groups of people before, including bars, but they usually make people both very manly and very straight. My post about the mysterious phenomenon where gay bars turn into clubs filled with straight douchebags and bimbos comes to mind as an example. You though, you specifically want it to become a bar full of hyper masculine gay men. That means I can’t use the phenomenon I just mentioned, I can’t flood the place with BDE, and unless it's a college bar Jock Studies won’t be of any help. So we’re going to have to go about this another way, and explore something entirely new. We either have to find another way to transform the bar, which we probably could given the amount of transformation methods out there, or… we could just find you a new bar. Personally I’m leaning towards the second one, partially because changing a large group of people against their will isn’t really my thing, but mostly because I have the perfect bar for you.
Tumblr media
I’ll admit it, the Drunken Chameleon doesn’t look like much. If you were to notice it while walking down the street, you’d think it's just like any other bar. The only thing that might stand out to you is that, for a bar that's been around forever, it never has a lot of people in it. Still, it's not a bar you’d pay much attention to, because like its namesake it just blends in. As you can probably guess if you’ve been reading my posts for a while, all of that is actually by meticulous design. The Drunken Chameleon blends in because it's supposed to. The bar's almost stereotypical neighborhood bar design, its apparent lack of customers, even its lack of any sort of gimmick or hook, is all there to make sure the bar stays hidden from most people, and that's just in case the numerous powerful perception spells fail. This is all to hide the truth: The Drunken Chameleon is one of the most popular Transformation Bars in the world.
A transformation bar is essentially what it says on the tin: A Bar of Transformations. While bars like The Drunken Chameleon do have classic drinks, they also have a variety of cocktails with dumb puns for names that transform the person who drinks them in some way. There are a lot of different transformation bars out there, and like regular bars each one caters to a different clientele. There are Jock bars, Douchebag bars, Biker bars, Bimbo bars, I’ve even been to one that changes your age depending on how old the whisky you order is. There is a TF bar out there for everyone, no matter what their kink is, but what makes The Drunken Chameleon so unique is that it doesn’t specialize. It literally has something for everyone.
While the first floor of the Drunken Chameleon can be a little plain, that's just because it's the entrance to the real bar. Or I should say, bars. The Drunken Chameleon doesn’t just have a hidden second floor, it has numerous hidden floors, each one a different bar that specializes in a different transformation. Every floor is different, and due to some magic there are a lot more floors than it looks like. There are only 2 rules that apply to every floor of the bar:
No outside Transformations. This is neutral ground.
No permanent Transformations. This place is for trying new things.
I’ve been to several of the floors of the Drunken Chameleon myself, and have a few choice favorites. One of my favorite floors, the 2nd floor, is a free for all, where every transformation is sold and everyone can interact. It’s one of the most popular floors, since anything can happen there. It’s a lot of fun for someone like me, who is interested in how transformations interact. The 33rd floor, to list another one I’ve visited, is a sports bar reserved for people who like being straight muscular jocks, people who like being their hot bimbo cheerleader girlfriends, or people who like being nerds for them to bully. I only visited once, after a member of the Douchebag Revolution who had been giving me information talked me into it. I won’t say much, or what role I took, but it was an… interesting experience, one I didn’t hate. The 58th floor, another favorite of mine, is an asian muscle bar, reserved specifically for people who like to be muscular asians, or those who like to gawk at them.
Tumblr media
I could talk about the different floors The Drunken Chameleon has for ages, but for now lets get back to the point at hand. Let's get back to you. I have a specific floor in mind, a part of the Drunken Chameleon that I know you’ll love. Floor 23, which I am going to affectionately nickname the Macho Gay Floor. It’s one of the only bars that also doubles as a gym, due to some unique magic making it impossible to injure yourself by working out while drunk. The entire floor is filled with hyper-masculine men, all muscular, all hairy, all sweaty, and all either working out or hooking up. It’s literally the perfect bar for you, exactly what you wanted, and now you don’t have to just watch a bunch of manly men from afar, with a single drink you can spend an entire night as one of them.
Tumblr media
My only advice is to remember that the transformation isn’t permanent. The drinks only last the night, long enough for some fun and a quick hookup. They do sell 6 packs of certain transformations, but only to long time customers they trust. No matter what, just have some fun! And try out some of the other floors sometime. They can be real fun.

YOU REALLY WERE BOOKED AND BUSY. Immediately after wrapping up another variety show, you were already on the road for another one after you teased the location on your Instagram. People could only wonder what this one could have for them to enjoy. They all started to do a guessing game.
And because you spoiled the location already, some fans figured it all out. So, your agency soon enough announced that your next work adventure was going to be a reality travel show with your other Jujutsu Kaisen co-stars Fushiguro Megumi, Itadori Yuji and Kugisaki Nobara.
It works pretty well, between the four of you. You were all very close, since you all went to the same drama and theater school together. You were only a year or two above them in age, it was hard not to have the same energy together.
The news had fans buzzing with excitement, since they liked all of your dynamics in the show and there were very few scenes of you all together, which the fans were craving for. This trended almost immediately on social media, being reposted by your co-stars and even the Jujutsu Kaisen official social media channels.
But perhaps the most notable was from veteran actor Ryomen Sukuna.
"Excited to see bedhead from my bubs." He quote-tweeted the video from the show's official twitter page.
And of course, almost immediately, everyone was going wild.
The hashtags #y/nsukuna, #HESDOWNBAD, #MYBUBS and #HERBEDHEAD were trending all at the same time.
"HUH!??? SUKUNA??? WHAT KIND OF POST IS THAT???"
"bro is not normal about y/n cause what do you mean he's saying he's excited for her bed head???"
"ARE WE GLOSSING OVER THE FACT THAT HE CALLS HER BUBS???"
"ryomen sukuna is down bad guys like its over for him (hes just like me)"
"guys guys, yall are not thinking about the wider picture......sukuna has pictures of y/n with bedhead"
Of course, Ryomen Sukuna likes to add fuel to the fire.
He quote-tweeted that fan and said, "Of course I have bedhead pics of y/n. There's a folder."
You also were not helping your case when you commented, "Do I at least look pretty in them, darling?"
Within a few seconds, the scarlet eyed man slyly replied. "Bubs, you're always pretty. No need to question that."
You liked the post almost as fast as when lightening strikes.
And of course, the world burns once more as your fans lose it.
➽──────────❥
EVERYTHING ABOUT YOUR SHOW WAS FUN. And you were enjoying yourself at every taping of the episode, because it really did feel like a genuinely planned friendship road trip all across locations the show chose for all of you. You had never had a show be this fun like this.
The premise was simple: you and a group of fellow cast members would explore different destinations, taking part in challenges, meeting the locals, and showcasing each unique place's culture.
Nobara, Yuji, and Megumi were all pros at making the atmosphere fun and welcoming. Even in acting school, they were all like that and you loved that about them. It made everything so much more fun.
With each location, everyone brought their personality to the forefront, and it made for the perfect mix of laughs, banter, and unforgettable moments. You all took turns driving, cooking, and planning activities, making each stop a collective adventure.
Today had been particularly intense, with endless shots, physical challenges, and more retakes than usual. Now, after the long drive to your next destination and running on only a few hours of sleep, you felt the exhaustion settle into your bones.
As the car bumped along the final stretch of road, the warm glow of a cozy cabin nestled in the mountains came into view, and relief washed over the group.
Nobara let out a deep, dramatic sigh as she spotted the cabin. “This place better have decent beds, guys.” she muttered, twisting in her seat to stretch her neck. “I'm not waking up with another crick, or someone’s going to pay.”
Yuji snickered, tossing his bag onto his shoulder once you all arrived. “Trust me, we’re all on the same page!” he replied with a wide grin. “And that reminds me, can I get some sympathy? Megumi here takes up half the bed when we share. He’s, like, dead asleep, but somehow there’s no room for me.”
Megumi’s expression barely flickered, though there was a hint of amusement in his eyes. “Or maybe you’re just sprawled out like a starfish, Yuji.” he countered dryly, adjusting his own bag with a shrug. His usual calm made the subtle quip land even harder, and everyone burst into laughter.
You rolled your eyes, the exhaustion temporarily lifted by the familiar rhythm of friendly banter. Nobara, ever the force of nature, hooked her arm around your shoulders, pulling you into the moment with a grin.
“So, guys.” she began with a pointed look. “You’re on dinner duty tonight, right? Please tell me you’ve got some magic in that suitcase of yours. I’m about to pass out, and the last thing I want is to wake up for ramen noodles.”
A smile tugged at your lips as you took in her expectant expression. “I’ll do my best with whatever we’ve got. But fair warning, if it’s instant noodles, I was never here.”
“Noted!” she laughed, patting your shoulder with faux solemnity. “I trust you’ll deliver.”
As everyone wandered off to settle in, Yuji threw an exaggerated thumbs-up over his shoulder. “Let’s go, resident chef! You’re a legend on camera and in the kitchen now. We're in for a treat!”
After a while, the crew had set up some lights in the small, rustic cabin kitchen where you were stirring a pot, trying to summon the energy to finish cooking.
The smell of food mingled with the quiet, comforting sounds of the cabin settling around you, though you could feel your eyelids drooping. Just as you stifled another yawn, Megumi drifted over, holding a steaming mug of coffee.
“Here.” he said quietly, his voice softer than usual. “You look like you need it more than I do.”
You took it with a grateful smile, letting the warmth of the cup seep into your hands. “You’re a lifesaver, Megumi. Seriously.”
He tilted his head, smirking just a bit. “Only as much as you saved us from yet another ramen dinner. This is... actually pretty good.”
His understated compliment made you laugh, even as you fought the lingering fatigue. Moments later, Yuji and Nobara poked their heads into the kitchen, the smell of food having drawn them in. Yuji rubbed his hands together excitedly.
“Look at this—our pro chef on set! Where did we luck out finding you?” he joked, pulling a few plates from the cupboard.
“Come on, Yuji, don’t distract the one person who can cook!” Nobara chided, though her eyes sparkled with anticipation. “Let’s not ruin our one decent meal tonight.”
Soon, everyone gathered around the makeshift dinner table, the crew even joining in as laughter and conversation filled the small cabin. The exhaustion you’d felt earlier melted away, replaced by the warmth of friendship and the satisfaction of good food.
These simple, shared moments, the laughter, the teasing, the shared triumphs over long days—reminded you why you loved every bit of this adventure. You really felt relaxed, after working in high stakes productions for a while now. This was a deserved break.
As the night wore on, the cabin was filled with tired but happy voices, sharing stories and jokes until everyone drifted off, still smiling. The promise of a new day of filming awaited, but for now, you soaked in the peace, knowing these were the memories you’d cherish long after the cameras stopped rolling.
➽──────────❥
IT WAS ROUGH THE NEXT MORNING. Not only were you driving in the morning, you had to wake everyone up. You already had an alarm set up and everything. But not all of that ever went to plan today, after your phone buzzed over and over. In short, you woke up to a flood of notifications.
Apparently, one of the crew members had captured that moment when Megumi handed you the coffee, along with his rare, dry joke in the kitchen. And of course, it was posted as a Behind The Scene shoot clip for the previous episode.
You expected that, of course. The whole pension house has cameras. The dim cabin lighting made the moment look even cozier, with Megumi’s slightly amused expression as he watched you laugh. Fans were absolutely losing it.
Of course, now that this was all over the place, the world will take over it. Social media was soon overflowing with edits, fan comments, and new ship names. People had screenshotted the entire scene, focusing on every little glance and smile, with captions like #SoftMegumi, #ChefxFushiguro, and #MegumiTheSimp.
"DID Y'ALL SEE HOW HE LOOKS AT THEM? I'M IN SHAMBLES?" one fan tweeted, sharing the clip on repeat.
"HE REALLY GAVE THEM THAT COFFEE LIKE IT WAS A LOVE CONFESSION, GUYS IM NOT OKAY???" another wrote, complete with heart emojis and a collage of your laughing face next to Megumi’s rare, softened smile.
Some of the edits were next level—fans had slowed down the footage, added romantic filters, and paired the whole thing with soft, soulful ballads that made it look like a scene from a romance movie.
The “Chef and Softie” ship was officially launched, and fans everywhere were on board.
Yuji, of course, was all over it. He reposted one of the fan edits with the caption, “Megumi looks happier here than he has in years. Should I be worried? 👀😂”
Meanwhile, Nobara was gleefully teasing you about the whole thing. "So, when’s the coffee date?" she teased, holding up her phone with an edit of you and Megumi staring at each other. “I saw all the comments—there are people already drafting wedding invitations for you two!"
Megumi tried to brush it off, but when Yuji pulled him aside to show him the edits, even he couldn’t hide the slight blush rising to his cheeks. He was always such a shy type, especially when he gets teased or praised.
Oh, Gojo would have a field day with this one if he was here. Megumi was lucky that he wasn't even online right now because he was busy with his new film.
“They’re really reading into it.” he muttered, though he didn’t look entirely displeased. "We're friends. I got coffee, you look like you needed it. Of course I'll get you one."
Cue the chaos: Ryomen Sukuna, in true dramatic form, making his feelings known on TikTok.
It all started to get even more worse when a fan edit of you and Megumi went viral on TikTok. The “Chef and Softie” ship was sailing strong, and fans were ecstatic.
Yuji even tweeted it, tagging you both with, “Did I just become the third wheel?? 👀😂”
@ItsRyoSuku:
"So, that’s how it is, huh? You’re into him now? @TheOneY/N”
This, of course, set the app ablaze with fans screaming in the comments:
@FushiguRizz:
“OMG Sukuna’s JEALOUS HAHAHA 💀 #TeamSukuna”
@SoftieXChefEndgame:
“BACK OFF KING OF CURSES, #TeamMegumi4Life 😤💖”
You, sensing an opportunity to stir the pot, replied:
@TheOneY/N:
"Aw, darling 😘 Don't be jealous. You know you’ll always be my #1. Right, bubs?"
The replies exploded as fans flooded the your reply with more chaos and new fan edits, hilarious ship names like #ChefAndCursed, and endless laughing emojis.
@MegumiStanAccount:
BUBS?! 🤯🤯 @TheOneY/N OUT HERE DOMESTICATING THE KING OF CURSES I’M DONE.”
@LoveTriangleDrama:
“Y’all realize this means we have a LOVE TRIANGLE on our hands??? chef’s kiss 🍿 #ChefAndSoftie #CursedCoffee”
Ryomen Sukuna wasn’t done, though. Minutes later, he fired off a reply:
@ItsRyoSuku:
"Bubs?? If you think I’m letting Fushiguro get away with those coffee stares, you’ve got another thing coming. >:)”
At this point, the exchange has been shared everywhere — especially on Twitter where it was trending with hashtags #TeamSukuna and #ProtectMegumi. Fans had fully split sides, and edits were everywhere.
Even Yuji was horrified—but laughing.
@YujiItadoriOfficial:
“Guys, this was NOT supposed to be my life… #GetUncOffSNS 😂”
It quickly turned into a frenzy, with fans speculating about “The Battle for the Chef’s Heart” and even pitching fictional scenarios of you, Megumi, and Sukuna all vying for each other’s attention. By the end of the day, the “love triangle” had gone viral, with Yuji groaning and shaking his head.
“Seriously.” he muttered as you all read the tweets, “Unc's just losing it. Clearly, he’s only thinking about you.”
You tried to keep a straight face, but you couldn’t hold back your laughter as Yuji scrolled through the comments with an exasperated sigh. Every time he refreshed, new comments flooded in, fans fully invested in the “Chef, Softie, and the King of Curses” triangle that had taken over Twitter.
@BestiesWithCurses:
“Is it just me, or did Sukuna just out himself as a full-on softie under that murder-y glare? 🤔 #CursedSoftieConfirmed”
@MegumiDefenseSquad:
“Megs doesn’t need protecting, but we WILL #ProtectMegumi from all curse-related jealousy out there!! 😂”
@ChefSukunaShipper:
“Listen, they called him DARLING and BUBS. Sukuna’s in the soft-zone for her ONLY, confirmed 💖”
But then came the fan art—a goldmine of exaggerated, hilarious comics and sketches of you, Megumi, and Sukuna in all kinds of ridiculous scenarios. The best of the batch was a comic panel of Sukuna glowering in the background as you and Megumi shared a coffee, titled “The Cursed Love Triangle.”
Yuji held up his phone to show Megumi, who glanced at the screen and immediately looked away, a faint blush on his cheeks. “It’s… they’re really running with this, aren’t they?”
“Oh, you don’t even know,” Yuji laughed, scrolling to another edit with Sukuna in a tux, Megumi in an apron, and you standing in the middle with a confused look. “According to this, you’re both about to get down on one knee.”
Nobara chimed in, wiping tears from laughing too hard. “They even have hashtags for your ‘rivalry,’ Megumi. #TeamMegumi’s doing battle against #TeamSukuna for ultimate coffee rights!”
Megumi groaned, glancing over at you with an embarrassed smile. “Maybe we should just let Sukuna win.”
Of course, Sukuna, apparently with notifications on, took that opportunity to jump back into Twitter tweeting:
@ItsRyoSukuna:
"Nice try, everyone. 😈 The only winning here will be me taking MY seat beside @ItsTheOneY/N Got it, ‘Softie’?”
Fans went wild at this, and new edits started rolling in within minutes. Twitter was flooded with art of Sukuna claiming his “throne” beside you, while Megumi stood off to the side with a coffee, looking exasperated.
You decided to end the day with a final tweet:
@ItsTheOneY/N:
“Who knew coffee could spark this much drama? 😅 #NoTeamJustTea 🍵”
It didn’t stop the fans from picking sides, but it did give everyone a good laugh. The “love triangle” might have been a joke, but you had to admit that seeing the edits and fanfiction of you, Sukuna, and Megumi “competing” over coffee and affection had made the whole trip that much more entertaining.
When Yuji finally got on his account, he was exhausted. This was his uncle after all. Everyone is BEEFING with him. Yuji just can't help but facepalm.
“I just… I’m done. I don’t want to hear about coffee, ‘bubs,’ or anything love triangle-related for at least a week.”
The next day, though, everyone noticed Yuji slyly checking Twitter to see if the ship had started trending again on live television in the next aired episode.
The topic did in fact trend again, much to Yuji or Megumi's liking.
➽──────────❥
YOU WERE EXCITED FOR THE SHOW TO FINISH. With filming almost wrapped up in your last city, you were so ready to finally get back to the comforts of home, and, frankly, to more sleep. As fun as the trip had been, full of late-night laughter and challenges with Nobara, Yuji, and Megumi, you missed your own quiet moments.
But mostly, you missed Sukuna. Between his prep for hosting the music awards and your packed filming schedule, you’d barely exchanged a handful of texts in days.
So, while lounging in your hotel room, a little tired and missing him more than you wanted to admit, you decided to let it out on Twitter.
“I’m super sleepy, but I miss Sukuna. He’s a good hugger! 😴💤 #TravelingAlone #WishHeWasHere,” you typed, hitting “Tweet” without giving it much thought.
And that was that. Except, of course, it wasn’t.
Within minutes, your mentions exploded. “WAIT, does she mean the Sukuna?” one fan squealed. Another posted, “She just confirmed they hug…like a lot. THEY HUG TO SLEEP TOGETHER?!?!”
People were in full-blown fanfiction mode, concocting elaborate stories about you and Sukuna cuddling, secretly sharing hotel rooms, even whispering sweet nothings.
Just as you were debating whether you should tweet a clarification (or maybe just let them have their fun), your phone buzzed again. It was a notification from Sukuna himself.
He’d quote-tweeted you with a simple reply: “Miss you too, bub. 🖤”
That one tweet? Pure chaos. The reactions started pouring in with shrieks of excitement, hearts, and stunned reactions. “He just called her bub?!!” “I didn’t even know I was rooting for them, but here I am, #SukunaY/N!”
Unable to resist, you retweeted his reply with your own message: “Can’t wait to explore this beautiful place, but it’d be better with you here, darling! 😘”
Your castmates had spotted the tweets by now, crowding around and teasing you mercilessly.
“Oh wow, are you two public-public now?” Nobara grinned, nudging you.
“Y/N, this is serious rom-com-level stuff right here, and with Unc too? Crazy stuff!” Yuji laughed, winking.
Megumi looked genuinely contemplative. “This is making me wonder why my love life is so uneventful,” he said with an exaggerated sigh.
Just as you were laughing at their banter, your phone buzzed again—a private message from Sukuna: “So, is this you hinting I should crash your little trip? Because I’m nearby, doll.”
A grin crept onto your face, and you quickly typed back, You totally should! I’d love the company.
A few minutes later, Sukuna confirmed, Alright. Just booked the flight. Pick me up later, sweetheart.
You barely got any sleep that night, excitement buzzing through you. When his flight finally landed the next morning, you were there, half-nervous, half-thrilled, waiting by the arrivals gate.
Sukuna strolled out casually, dressed down in a black hoodie and jeans, but still somehow looking like he owned the whole airport. Tattoos peeked out from his sleeves, drawing a few interested stares from passersby.
“Long time no see, doll,” he murmured, pulling you into a tight hug with that familiar, easy confidence that made you feel instantly at home.
You laughed, “Took you long enough. Thought you got lost or something.”
“Please. I think I’d know how to find my way to you in a blackout.” he teased, arm slipping possessively around your waist as you led him toward the exit.
A few fans who had been waiting nearby looked shocked, quickly snapping pictures, and before long, the hashtag #SukunaAtTheAirport was trending.
Everyone wanted to know why he’d flown out, what he was doing with you, and if there was something big on the horizon. The tension was undeniable, and you could already picture the theories fans would concoct.
As you walked through the crowd, Sukuna leaned down, whispering in your ear. “You know, I could’ve made my entrance even more…dramatic. But I figured I’d go easy on you.”
“Oh really?” you replied, trying to look unbothered. “Well, I’m just glad you didn’t make too much of a scene. Wouldn’t want to embarrass your new favorite travel buddy.”
Sukuna chuckled, his eyes gleaming. “I’ll make up for that later, darling. You’re getting the VIP treatment.”
The thought made you laugh, wondering just how over-the-top his “VIP treatment” was going to be. By the time you made it back to the hotel, fan theories about Sukuna crashing your trip, “spontaneous romantic getaways” and even engagement rumors were spiraling out of control. But with him beside you, laughing and exchanging private smiles, you didn’t mind one bit.
➽──────────❥
SUKUNA MANAGED TO GET A WHOLE WEEKENS OFF. You were excited when he told you all about it. The moment you stepped into the hotel room, the buzz of excitement between you and Sukuna was palpable. You tossed your bags aside and turned to him, ready to unleash the whirlwind of ideas you had for the day.
“Okay, so what’s on the agenda, Mr. VIP?” you asked, crossing your arms with a playful smirk.
Sukuna raised an eyebrow, an amused grin creeping onto his face. “You have a lot of questions for someone who just pulled me out of my busy schedule. I could just take a nap instead, you know.”
“Please, no naps yet! We need to capitalize on your presence here. Let’s explore! We have to make the most of this trip!” You practically bounced on your heels, unable to contain your enthusiasm. “Plus, I still owe you that coffee from when you were busy—remember?”
His smirk deepened. “Fine. Coffee it is. But you’re buying,” he teased, giving you a mock serious look.
“Deal! But only if you let me choose the place,” you shot back, feeling a competitive fire igniting.
“Let’s see what you’ve got then,” he replied, folding his arms with an exaggerated air of skepticism.
As you headed out, the two of you were met with curious glances from the hotel staff, and you could already see a few fans lingering around, whispering and pointing. They were clearly waiting for the latest updates, and your heart raced at the thought of being at the center of the attention.
“Are we about to create some real drama here?” Sukuna asked, noticing the crowd gathering outside. “Should I be on my best behavior, or are we going full chaotic?”
“Let’s keep it cute for now, but I can’t promise anything. I don’t have your special energy,” you replied, grinning.
Sukuna feigned offense, clutching his chest. “You wound me, darling! My energy is unparalleled!”
The two of you walked out into the bustling streets, and your phone buzzed with notifications every few seconds. “You know,” you said, scrolling through the latest tweets, “people are going wild about you being here. They’re already predicting our romantic escapades.”
“Romantic escapades? Pfft,” he scoffed, glancing sideways at you. “You mean me rescuing you from boring coffee shops and dragging you into a karaoke bar, right?”
“Hey! I love a good karaoke session!” you shot back. “But let’s try to stick to our plan first. Coffee, then who knows? Maybe karaoke afterward?”
“Fine, but only if you sing ‘I Will Survive,’ and I want a dramatic performance.”
“Of course! But only if you join me! Two-for-one special,” you laughed, nudging him playfully.
As you strolled through the city, Sukuna’s presence felt electrifying. The way he casually interacted with the environment, his low chuckles at your jokes, and even his light teasing made you giddy. You found a quaint little coffee shop with a cozy vibe and promptly ordered your favorite drinks—something sweet and frothy for you, and a dark roast for him, because “real men drink coffee like adults,” he insisted.
As you waited for your drinks, you couldn’t help but lean closer to him. “So, how does it feel to be out in the wild instead of behind a camera?” you asked, genuinely curious.
“It’s refreshing, actually. I’m usually surrounded by a lot of people I don’t like.” he replied with a wry smile. “But it’s different when I’m with you.”
Your heart did a little flip. “Well, I’m glad I’m on your good side.” you teased, sipping your drink and relishing the moment.
Before long, your phones buzzed again. Sukuna glanced at his and chuckled. “Looks like you’ve got a fan club keeping tabs on us!” he said, showing you a tweet that read, “Y/N and Sukuna getting coffee together? Official couple status confirmed!”
“See? Look at them shipping us!” you laughed, shaking your head. “They have quite the field day with this.”
Sukuna shrugged nonchalantly, his gaze steady on you. “Let them. I don’t mind being their poster boy for their fantasies about us if it means I get to hang out with as my primadonna, bubs.”
Your cheeks flushed, and you couldn’t help but grin. “Alright then, poster boy, what’s next on your agenda after coffee?”
“Maybe we could find a spot with a great view? Something to give them a real show.” he said, his mischievous smile returning.
“Now you’re talking! I know the perfect spot,” you replied, your excitement bubbling over. “It’s a little hidden rooftop terrace I found last time I was here. The view is stunning, and you’ll love it!”
As you made your way toward the terrace, the sun began to dip below the horizon, painting the sky in shades of pink and orange.
The city was coming alive around you, the sounds of laughter and music filling the air, and you felt a rush of happiness at sharing this moment with Sukuna.
Once you reached the rooftop, the view was breathtaking, and you both stood there for a moment, taking it all in.
“Wow, bubs." Sukuna said, leaning against the railing, “You weren’t kidding. This is amazing.”
“I’m glad you like it!” you said, grinning as you pulled out your phone to snap a few pictures. “Let’s get a selfie to commemorate this.”
“Selfie time? My Instagram’s gonna blow up, don't you think?” he teased, striking an exaggerated pose, pulling you close.
You snapped the picture, laughter bubbling up as he made a silly face. “Now that’s a winner! This will make them go wild!” you said, showing him the shot.
“Just make sure to tag me, or I might feel unloved, bubs.” he joked, but there was a hint of sincerity in his voice that made you smile wider.
As the evening continued, you both settled onto a cozy ledge, enjoying the soft breeze and the distant sounds of the city.
The atmosphere was perfect, and you couldn’t shake the feeling that this was the start of something special—not just for you and Sukuna, but for all the fans who were eagerly following your adventures.
“So, what’s the plan for the rest of the trip?” you asked, leaning against him comfortably.
Sukuna turned to you, his expression softening. “Honestly? Just more moments like this. The coffee, the views, and you.”
You felt your heart flutter at his words. “You know, if we keep this up, we might have to face the fans’ expectations for more.”
Sukuna chuckled, his eyes glinting with mischief. “Let them think what they want. I don't really care. As long as I get to hang out with my favorite person, I’m game for anything.”
You smiled, the world around you fading away as the two of you shared a moment of connection that felt like it belonged only to you.
And as the sky darkened, dotted with stars, you couldn’t help but think that maybe, just maybe, this was the beginning of something even more incredible.
Later on, Sukuna asked you to send the pictures to him. He wanted to post them.
His caption?

“companionship.”
pairings: android!hex haywire x m!reader
summary: can a robot and human fall in love?
tw: HYPNOSIS, NONCON, manipulation, yandere, etc. robot sex, voice fetish, onahole, voyeurism. size difference, belly bulging, etc.
notes: i love this cliche au of sex robots and things like that, so here’s my take on it.. with hex.
it’s probably terrible and i guess caters a certain niche, but let me know what you guys think.
Tumblr media
today was it - the day you’ve been waiting for! finally, after all your hard work throughout the year, you saved enough money to buy your own, state of the art, artificial intelligence assistant.
and, luckily for you, today was also the grand debut of a brand new line of androids: xsoliel.
your hands were as shaky as ever waiting in line at the mall, double checking your savings to assure yourself you weren’t dreaming. nijisanji’s new line of androids were practically everything anyone could ask for: equipped with unique and interesting designs and personalities for each member, xsoliel offered a variety of services: whether it was for your own selfish pleasure or to help with manual labor, there was surely somebody for you.
..or so, that’s how the commercial sounded anyways. you silently thanked humankind for blessing the world with this era of companion-droids. seeing the ad nearly a year ago, you were star struck at the first all-male line nijisanji had debuted: luxiem.
unfortunately, they were sold out and only resold at steep prices— but, a few lucky online bloggers raved about their features, endless posts about how amazing it was to have an assistant of your own. while they could’ve surely been exaggerating, ever since that moment, you put money aside each week, even taking on extra jobs to make a little more cash to achieve your dream.
and it was finally time to reap your benefits.
while you didn’t know much about xsoliel nor intended to coincidentally buy an android of your own on the day of their newest launch, that didn’t stop you from checking them out. reading the blurbs about each member peaked your curiosity even higher. “a delinquent? people really think of anything these days, huh?” chuckling, you let yourself playfully criticize each member. you quickly bit your tongue, thoughts coming to a halt after reading about a certain individual.
“..what kind of name is hex?” muttering to yourself, you couldn’t hide the faint blush on your face as you stared at the model inside of the store. sleek attire, it almost made him look like a professor than a robot. paired with optional glasses (why did he even need those? can’t he see perfectly?), hex’s design made your heart flutter. his official advertisement described him as a nurturing, gentle servant, perfect for new customers to start off with. illustrated to have a deep, nearly hypnotic voice, hex’s programming was assured to have his users satisfied and satiated with their purchase.
swiping your card at the checkout, you really hoped you made the right choice, signing off a couple waivers and documents the employee had given you.
just a week later, you realized you didn’t regret your decision at all.
living with an ai assistant could only be described as luxury. hex truly was made with a “newbie” owner in mind, and the way he spoke to you sometimes made you wonder who was really in charge. his sweet, charming voice, along with how gentle and kind he was towards you, lifted your spirits instantly.
for instance, hex was a wonderful outlet to talk to when things went wrong — and, as if it was magic, nearly every problem you spoke about washed away the next morning! your problems with coworkers quickly diminished, and you even got the raise you’ve been praying for months now. he’d always offer such delicate touches, hugs and shoulder massages when he notices you’re pent up from a long day. you couldn’t fight off the dreamy, floaty headspace you were in when he was around.
not to mention, hex even did some of the chores while you were at work without being told to. even though you felt too guilty to ask him to clean the house, he didn’t seem to mind, making sure you came home to a clean room and nicely folded laundry each day. hell, he even told you he was looking into cooking, something that wasn’t originally included in his list of abilities. hex seemed to go above and beyond for you each time, amazing you each day.
it was a normal friday night, and you were with him as you always were, spending most of your time with the robot.
“y/n, why don’t you ever want to use me for something else..?” the question made your face feel warm, hairs standing on the edge. you two were cleaning up the kitchen after preparing dinner. laughing awkwardly, you tried to shrug off his curiosity, shining a plate with a dish towel. “well, id never want to force you to do something you didn’t like, silly.”
hex’s brow furrowed, a hint of anger resting beneath the surface. who said i didn’t want to?” for an android , the way he spoke was jarringly natural. your eyes widened in surprise, speechless for a moment. hex talked so nonchalantly about sex, but you had to remind yourself he was still a robot after all. as human as his synthetic skin and olive eyes may look, he lacks a beating heart and flesh.
“i-im not sure i want to. im just not interested in that type of stuff right now..” you let your voice trail off, sitting and washing in silence before hex spoke up dangerously close to your ear.
“you don’t have to lie, baby. i can hear you in the middle of the night when you touch yourself.” his deep voice made you shudder, unable to move. didnt you tell him to shut himself off during the nighttime? you were sure you ordered him not to snoop around, especially on nights that you planned to indulge in yourself. gulping, you laughed awkwardly as hex didn’t seem to budge.
“ah, s-sorry for disturbing you, ill try and keep it down next time..” his hand enveloped your own, forcing you to meet his gaze. goodness, his hands were big. warm, soft, inviting — strong, too. hex squeezed your hands, not bothering to stop when you winced from the pain, smiling. “you don’t have to keep it down. you should let me help you.” the way hex spoke was as if he was demanding you, not letting go until you gave him an answer. “it’s what i was.. made to do, anyways.” his voice was filled with solemn, playing with your heartstrings.
the silence was weighing on your thoughts, biting your lip in anticipation. hex knew how to make you uncomfortable, how to give into his desires and requests even when you didn’t want to — on the surface, at least. “alright, i will..! next time ill let you help me, okay?” you huffed, hex letting go of your hands and putting them on your shoulders instead. “good boy. you’re listening so well.” you hated how warm his praise made you feel.
the next night you needed help came sooner than you thought, shamefully letting hex in when he knocked on the door. the android wasted no time making himself comfortable in your space.
“a-ah, hex, slow down! please!” his hand was wrapped around your fleshlight, pumping vigorously as you squirmed in between his legs. your back was pressed against his chest, caged in the ai’s arms as he pleasured you. he caught you trying to use it to get yourself off, and figured he’d give it a try.
except, he failed to mention that his hands also had a vibrating feature. the soft yet firm jelly of the fleshlight practically whirred against your dick, making the experience all too elevating, groaning as hex held you in his arms. this has to be what those bloggers were raving about, right? hex held the toy at the tip of your cock, squeezing a bit to snap you out of your thoughts. you practically sobbed out, eyes tears from how good his touch felt on your skin.
“yknow, when you look so vulnerable like this, it makes me want to ravage you. who knew my master could be so slutty?” you whined at that, the ai chuckling deeply. you could truly stop him by force if you wanted to, considering you were technically his owner, but god did he make it hard. spreading your legs open so he could continue to jerk you off like the pathetic loser you always were. feeling another orgasm coming, your moans started to get louder, nails digging into hex’s synthetic skin.
“shh, goodness y/n. you’re going to wake up the neighbors if you keep moaning like a slut. hmm..” the man hummed to himself, shuffling around while you were distracted. “maybe i should give you something more, right?” before you knew it, his cock was circling your hole, causing you to panic.
“wait, h-hex! that’s too much, im already tired!” you tried to fight back, scrambling in his lap. his hands held up underneath your legs, holding you in place with his strength. of course he could overpower you — he was a robot, for gods sake. even though you were still painfully hard, you couldn’t imagine having sex with an ai of all things.
that is, until you felt something whirr against your ass.
oh.
of course, that part of him vibrates too. why wouldn’t it? as if hex couldn’t be too good at what he does already, it was as if his manufacturer wanted to overkill him with all these extra functions. hex laughed at your stillness, kissing the back of your neck. “i promise it feels good.”
he didnt bother giving you any warning either, nor waiting for an answer, slamming your hips down and shoving himself inside. even if his cock was lubricated, it still hurt like hell, making you cry out in pain. you’ve never felt so full before — just how big was he? you remember a conversation with the clerk at the store that day when you first bought hex. they had asked you about sizes.. but you thought they were just talking about his height, opting for the biggest size they had available. what an idiot. no wonder the clerk blushed a bit at your response.
slowly, hex rolled his hips against yours, his dick stretching you out against your will. “i always imagined us like this, baby. id take care of you, and you’d.. well, take it.” hex smiled, groaning in your ear as his dick nearly stirred up your insides. your brain couldn’t think of anything to say in response, too full to retaliate against the androids firm grip.
“you look stupid, baby. can you feel me? riiight here? look at how well you’re taking me.” hex’s cool fingers pressed against your stomach, nudging the bulge from his cock and making you whine even louder. your poor little cock was like a fountain, leaking nonstop as his pace didn’t falter.
it felt as if you were the one helping him out in this position. the ai was unexpectedly loud in bed, moaning and whispering about how well behaved you were, and how he’ll spoil you like this everyday from now on. every day? could you even handle that? with how he was taking control, surely there was something wrong with his wiring. you started to think about how to return and maybe get someone to take a closer look at his hardware, before a painfully deep thrust snapped you out of your thoughts.
“o-oh!” you were embarrassed by the yelp you let out, your body trembling before finally releasing, soiling the sheets underneath you two. “it seems like you’re doing a lot of thinking today, y/n. what could possibly be on your mind other than me?” hex, amused, chuckled in response, kissing and licking the back of your neck. “good boy. that’s it, let it out. only think of me from now on, okay?” his voice felt so dreamy; so hypnotic.
“y-yes sir,” you managed to mutter our, much to hex’s chagrin. he didn’t need any recovery period since he wasn’t human, so the robot simply got back to milking you dry, pounding into your tight hole like an animal in heat.
you’d never find out that hex’s model was recalled for several malfunctions and viruses, he made sure of that.
how else would he give you everything so easily?

The town was alight with Halloween festivities, music echoing through the streets, strings of orange lanterns flickering along doorways and windows. You wandered through the crowd, admiring costumes of every variety, from classic horror icons to homemade renditions of local legends.
Among them, you caught sight of a figure in a striking red coat, and your heart skipped a beat.
It was unmistakably Vash the Stampede—well, someone dressed as him. The long red duster, the spiked blond hair, the familiar tinted glasses that seemed to glint under the lantern light. Everything was perfect, down to the intricate metal arm peeking out from one sleeve. You hadn’t seen anyone capture Vash’s look so well, and as a fan of his legendary exploits, you couldn't resist approaching.
“Hey!” you called, weaving through the crowd until you were just a few feet away. When he turned to face you, you noticed something strange: his expression was bashful, his cheeks slightly pink, eyes wide with a certain kind of innocence that didn’t seem like an act.
He looked you up and down with a shy smile, his gloved hand scratching at the back of his neck.
“Nice costume!” you gushed, beaming at him. “You really nailed it. I mean, the coat, the glasses—oh, and even the arm detail. Wow, you must be a big fan of Vash the Stampede too!”
His blush deepened as he stammered, “Uh—w-well, thank you. I appreciate it.” His voice was soft, a little breathless, as though your words had caught him off guard.
“You’re welcome! You don’t know how rare it is to see someone go all out like this. The outfit’s spot-on, and honestly, your resemblance is uncanny,” you laughed, shaking your head in admiration. “You must’ve spent ages on it.”
“Ah, y-yeah, ages,” he echoed, giving a sheepish grin as he glanced to the side, hiding half his face behind his collar. He didn’t seem to know quite what to do with his hands as he chuckled, and you found his awkwardness endearing.
“I mean, you’ve really captured that warmth of his, too,” you went on, not picking up on the fact that his sheepish grin was very real. “Everyone knows about Vash, but I’ve always thought the best part of him is his heart, y’know?” You placed a hand on your chest, a bit lost in your own admiration for the mysterious hero. “He always tries to help others. He believes in peace, even if he has to carry that reputation as a dangerous outlaw. That’s what makes him so unique.”
At this, the man’s blush only intensified, his mouth opening to speak, though his words came out soft and halting. “I… wow, that’s… You really see him that way?” he murmured, as though he couldn’t quite believe it. His face softened, a gentleness lighting his eyes.
“Absolutely. He’s a legend,” you said, your voice warm and sincere. “I bet if he were here right now, he’d feel really grateful to have someone out there doing such a great job representing him. Makes it feel like he’s right here in the crowd with us, you know?”
Vash let out a quiet laugh, his voice barely above a whisper. “Yeah… I guess you could say that.” He seemed to search your face for a moment, as if savoring every word, a wistful look flickering through his gaze.
Feeling bold, you patted his shoulder. “Well, you definitely made my night with that costume. Seriously, thanks for bringing Vash’s spirit to life, even just for tonight.”
Before you could say more, he gently clasped his hand over yours, his gloved fingers warm against your skin. “Thank you,” he said softly, his voice filled with a surprising sincerity. “That means more than you know.”
A sudden cheer broke out from the crowd as people called out for a costume contest, and you gave him an encouraging nod. “You’ve got my vote! Go show everyone what Vash the Stampede is made of!”
His grin widened, and he gave you a little salute before blending into the crowd. You watched him go, admiring how he seemed to move with an unspoken grace and warmth, as though carrying an invisible weight. For a moment, you swore you saw a flicker of something in his eyes, a glimmer of emotion so raw that it made your chest tighten.
As the contest went on and the evening wore down, you couldn’t help but feel a strange sense of wonder, as though you’d met not just a fan dressed as Vash, but the man himself. But, you thought with a smile, that’s impossible.
Or was it? You’d never know for sure, but something about the gentle warmth in his voice would stay with you, leaving you with a strange sense of comfort long after Halloween had come and gone.

Hey, so you seem to be the the All Knowing in terms of twst. With Glorious Masquerade getting a rerun soon, I was looking at the cards.
So what the heck is up with Jamil's freaking hat? I'm sorry but I can't look at it without laughing. It looks so stupid. The closest thing I can think of that matches it is the combined crowns of upper and lower Egypt, but this is the equivalent of France so that can't be it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
While I’m flattered that people come to me with their questions, I want to take a moment to remind everyone that I’m just another TWST fan like you are! ^^ It’s stressful to be considered “all knowing” or a fandom authority 💦 That puts a lot of pressure on me to speak on certain subjects or to interact in a certain way (since people might put too much stock into what I say), and then that ends up detracting from my enjoyment. I’d rather not be put on such a high pedestal, please and thank you.
Now, onto the question!
According to Rollo in 1-13 of Glorious Masquerade, the costumes the NRC students were gifted are “patterned after designs that are over 500 years old.”
Tumblr media
If we extrapolate this to real life, the implication is that these costumes have roots in Renaissance era (14th century to 17th century) French fashion. Interestingly, Rollo’s own hat is similar to a tricorne, which was primarily worn in the 18th century… so technically, his hat is more “modern” than what the NRC students wear 😂
So I browsed through records of hats from the indicated period and guess what? I couldn’t find an exact match—though I did find a lot of hat designs that I found way sillier than what the NRC boys have. Like… sorry, what is THAT 😭
Tumblr media
Some headwear which bears a vague similarity to Jamil’s hat are the Egyptian combined/double crown (the pschent), which Anon has already mentioned, and the French hood, which was worn by women in the 15th century.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The actual closest match I came across was the mitre, a liturgical headdresses worn by Roman Catholic officials. If you look at it from the front, it doesn’t look like much, but it definitely has the height of Jamil’s hat. But then look closer and you’ll realize the mitre does not have one single flap of fabric, but rather two.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you take the front flap of a mitre and fold it back, you would probably get something very similar to what Jamil wears. (Note that the black part of the hat is NOT his hair, but is fabric that is part of the hat.)
Considering that Noble Bell College is styled like a cathedral and that the Renaissance era from which the Masquerade Dress clothing derives is characterized by the rediscovery of classical literature, art, and philosophy… perhaps it’s not so strange to see a hat borne of religious associations.
… Why did Jamil specifically get this hat? Not sure, I’m not religious myself so don’t ask me to psychoanalyze him from that angle 😂
The golden part securing the front is unusual and does not appear in French fashion of the time (at least not from what I could tell?). It’s styled like pschent but more likely is meant to be turban-like due to Jamil’s inspiration, Jafar, having the same feather sticking up in the middle of a bulbous hat. You’ll notice Jamil had a “feather” too, albeit metal:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
To summarize, I think the design of Masquerade Dress Jamil’s hat borrows from multiple inspirations and not just one/old French fashion. Yana has stated before in a March 2023 interview with the Apple App Store that the cultures of Twisted Wonderland are unique and that the clothing that appears in the game are not “reinterpretations of existing costumes”. She seems to incorporate elements from both high fashion and from a variety of cultures to arrive at the final designs. For example, there are elements of many Nordic cultures in the Apple Pom outfits, and the Pomefiore uniform has a Japanese kimono-like silhouette despite the dorm being based on the the Evil Queen (originating from a German tale). I assume something similar happened when designing the Masquerade Dresses; Yana and co. wanted to combine elements and make something of their own.
Final comment I'll make, the shape of Jamil's hat looks like a kind of dumpling... It makes me hungry.

TV Life, 9/20/2024 Issue ft. Kamen Rider Gavv Cast Members (translation below)
Publication: September 4, 2024
Chinen Hidekazu x Hino Yusuke x Miyabe Nozomi
"What were your thoughts when you read the script?"
Chinen: I finished reading it in an instant due to how interesting it was. The more I read, the more I was drawn into the world of this show, and my excitement grew so much that I couldn't wait to play the role.
Hino: Me too. I was so curious about future developments, that every time I read the script, I couldn't wait to get the next one (laughs). Every character that appears is full of personality and intricately intertwined, making this a show that I think children, as well as adults will enjoy.
Miyabe: Naturally, the dialogue is interesting and fun to watch, but each and every character actually has their own problems and insecurities. I thought that the depiction of them growing while confronting these issues was wonderful and gives a human feel to the story. I'm personally encouraged by Shouma and the other's hard work and dedication, so I'd like to do my best to deliver the feelings I have to the viewers as well.
"How do you personally view the roles you play?"
Chinen: Shouma's a cheerful and energetic boy who loves to eat. He's usually innocent, adorable, and incredibly charming, but he's also a very mysterious character from another world. I think his clumsy side and his ability to work as hard as he can in everything he does is what'll make the viewers want to cheer for him, so I'd like to keep that in mind as I perform from now on.
Hino: I play the role of Hanto, a young man who works as a freelance writer, and who's pursuing info on the enemy Granutes. One of the unique characteristics of Hanto is that his feelings towards the Granutes are stronger compared to the others, so I'm always conscious of how to express that in my performance. Going forward, I hope you'll also make sure to pay attention to the development that causes him to transform and become Kamen Rider Valen.
Miyabe: Sachika's the gyaru president of the general store "Hapipare." She's really upbeat and energetic, and she's the kind of person who could just go up to the cool and difficult to approach Hanto and say, "Hey there!" I have no gyaru qualities in my everyday life (laughs), so to prepare for the role, I looked at works in which gyarus appeared and incorporated them into Sachika.
"So, to reference the theme of sweets, how would you compare each other to sweets?"
Hino: Because Hide looks so cute and has some fluffy vibes, I guess he'd be a marshmallow. He's perfectly white and pure just like a marshmallow. Truthfully however, because he also has a strong and unshakable core, he'd be candy filled marshmallows!
Chinen: Those exist?! (laughs). Still, being told I have a strong core makes me happy. Nozomi-san would be yokan.
Miyabe: Yokan?! How surprising (laughs).
Chinen: In contrast to the role she plays, Nozomi-san's usually a very refined person, so when I thought, "What elegant sweets are there?," I came up with yokan.
Miyabe: Thank you. Hino-kun is……
Hino: Huh? You seem stuck (laughs). There's tons of variety and something for everyone, isn't there?!
Miyabe: Since he's always positive when communicating with us and the staff, he's a friendly person, so I guess he'd be dagashi. The fact that he's loved by all ages, genders and generations is also appealing.
Hino: I'm relieved you gave a good answer (laughs).
"And, TV Life will start running your "Relay Series" beginning with this issue."
All: Alright! (clapping).
Chinen: Our seniors had also decided on their title. What should we do?
Miyabe: It should include "Gavv."
Hino: Definitely! I'd prefer it to be catchy and easy to remember, but…
Miyabe: I think serializations are a place where each person's individuality can come out, so how about "GavvPare!," which would be a lineup that reflects the essence of Gavv? (from "onparedo" = lineup)
Chinen & Hino: Oh~! Sounds good!
Miyabe: It'd be great if people could get to know the show and us throughout the series.
Chinen: Yeah. The first one will be mine. Once again, we look forward to your support over the coming year! _
GavvPare! Vol.1 (Chinen Hidekazu)
Q. Tell us your memories of sweets!
A. When I was a child, there was a rule in the Chinen house where sweets were only allowed on weekends, and so that in itself lead to a strong desire to eat sweets. Naturally, I didn't take eating them for granted, so I was really happy to spend time on the weekends choosing and eating my favorite sweets. By the way, when I had a craving for something sweet on a weekday, I'd chew on sugar cane as a substitute for sweets. (laughs).

Maria’s question had you second guessing everything you thought you knew. Her tone held a hint of something in her voice, like she knew more than she let on. Could the mystery flower giver really be Joel?
You tried to picture it, his broad form bent over the pots in the greenhouse late at night, large hands clipping the perfect flower to pair with a riddle. Or him hunched over the table, tongue poking out between his pouty lips as he concentrated on writing romantic riddles The vision elicited a giggle. It just didn’t track. A nice dream, but it couldn’t possibly be real. It had to be someone else, right?
No flower waited for you when you returned home from your shift yesterday and you didn’t know how to feel about that. Did the mystery person plan on leaving you more clues or was that it? The four flowers and riddles were not nearly enough information to figure it all out, despite thinking about it constantly. So, you hoped for more.
If nothing else, you thought, knowing someone in town cared enough about you to share in your passion for the unique love language of flowers warmed your heart. You wanted to bask in that for as long as possible.
You wouldn’t dare say your life in Jackson was boring – really, it was anything but that – rather, this mystery was a variety of excitement and intellectual stimulation that you hadn’t experienced in a long, long time. Shame that you sucked at riddles, though. The grand effort was almost wasted on you.
These thoughts occupied your mind all morning as you readied yourself for another day spent in the greenhouses. At first, you couldn’t figure out why you were hyper fixating on it all. It hit you suddenly, the reason you enjoyed the notion of this secret admirer. You were lonely and longed for something… more.
A hint of movement on the porch, spotted from the corner of your eye as you sipped a cup of coffee, drew your attention. Your body moved for the front door before your mind kicked into action and wrenched the door open to find a flustered Ellie staring wide-eyed up at you. Bent over with her hand on another flower left on your porch, it appeared you caught her in the middle of something.
“Good morning, kiddo,” you greeted with a curious smile. “You’re up and about early this morning.”
Standing up straight, Ellie rubbed her hands on her jeans and stepped up to stand next to you. “Uh, yeah. I was, um, coming to see you. Wanted to know if you needed help in the greenhouses today.” Gesturing to the flower, she added, “This just caught my attention before I could knock.”
The explanation sounded reasonable to you, and you had no reason to distrust the sweet teenager. Bending down, you scooped the flower up. “Sure, that would be great. Why don’t you swing by after lunch. I have a few things you could help with.
“Great!” she exclaimed, an octave too high, before clearing her throat and going for a more subdued response. “Sounds good. So, um, looks like you have a secret admirer, huh?”
You laughed. “That seems to be the word on the street. I keep getting lovely flowers, but I have no idea who’s sending them.”
“You can tell me all about it this afternoon. Maybe we can figure out who the mystery man – or woman – is.” Ellie raised her eyebrows a few times in quick succession, drawing more laughter out of you.
“Alright, kiddo. Get outta here. I’ll see you later.”
Once Ellie jogged away, you turned your attention to the flower in your hand – a large blossom, with creamy white petals. A magnolia, the very symbol of perfection. As always, you held it up to your nose, breathing in the floral fragrance that held a spicy punch underscored by a hint of musk.
The note, written in that same nondescript print that you were beginning to love, read:
Moments with you, the answer rings true.

“I’m not doing it again, Joel!” Ellie shouted, barreling through the front door breathlessly. “She almost caught my ass this morning!”
Seated on the couch, enjoying a moment of peace with a cup of coffee on a rare day off from patrol, Joel jumped as the door slammed against the wall, no doubt leaving a dent in the drywall for him to fix. Hot liquid sloshed in the cup, and he winced as a few drops spilled over onto his hand. “What happened?”
“Your little girlfriend opened her door just after I placed this morning’s flower on her porch.” Joel frowned, fearing the jig was up, but Ellie waved him off. “Don’t worry, your cover hasn’t been blown. Yet. I made it seem like I was coming by to talk to her and just found the flower.”
Impressed, he asked, “Do you think she bought it?”
Rolling her eyes, Ellie glared at him. “Of course she did. You doubting my acting skills, asshole? I’m stuck helping her in the greenhouse this afternoon because I couldn’t come up with anything else quick enough, so thanks for that.”
Relief washed over Joel. He wanted to see this plan through, to show you there was more to him than meets the eye, that there was depth to his character and he’s capable of being romantic and thoughtful. “Cry me a river, kid. A little hard work’ll do ya good.”
Ellie huffed, turning to head through the house to her backyard apartment, but not without a parting shot. “Yeah, well, it’d do you good to grow a fucking pair of balls and just ask her out already!”
“Is that so? Have you asked Dina out yet” Joel shouted back, not letting her have the last word. He smirked as the back door slammed closed.

The pattern continued over the next few days before it suddenly stopped. And no matter how hard you tried, you could never catch the culprit in the act, leaving you as clueless as ever to their identity.
On Tuesday morning, you received a beautiful iris, a particular favorite of yours with the classic fleur-de-lis shape. In your eyes, the answer lies, the note read.
Tuesday evening, a vibrant red lily waited for you as you returned from the greenhouses. The soft, subtle scent a marked contrast to the fiery petals. The note especially fitting for such a flower: Lost in your beauty, the answer is a duty.
A small bouquet of pink lilacs awaited you on Wednesday morning, their relaxing fragrance wafting through the kitchen as you placed them amongst the others. Longing for your touch, the answer means so much.
No flower arrived on Wednesday evening, but a eucalyptus greeted you as you left for work Thursday morning. It was an odd choice, you thought. And you had no idea where it might have come from – you didn’t have any in the greenhouse. The note didn’t make much sense to you either, but it fit the pattern of the others. Evergreen thoughts of you, the answer is in the dew.
The final flower waited for you Thursday evening. You ran a little later than usual, getting caught up in planting some of the flowers you received that you didn’t have among the existing greenhouse collection. As you worked, you found yourself questioning when someone would have snatched some of the flowers gifted to you. The mystery person had a gentle hand, none of the plants were damaged and blossoms were taken from clean cuts. Whoever it was, they respected the flowers and you enough to be careful as well as stealthy.
After completing an inspection of the flowered plants in the greenhouse, you knew which one would find that evening, having spotted the evidence of recent trimming. A salmon-colored rose, the hue a lovely shade of pink, with the softest petals. When you arrived home, your fingers gently rubbed a petal of the rose, savoring the silky texture, as you read the accompanying note. Remember my love for you, the answer is in you.
Something told you the rose was the culmination of the floral adventure, that no more flowers would be placed on your doorstep. On Friday, you moved the flowers and the corresponding riddles to the dining table, arranged in the order you received them. Writing the most relevant meanings for each new flower on the accompanying note, you hoped and searched for some defining clue with each new flower, but still nothing.
You needed help.

“Should I be worried that she hasn’t figured it out yet?” Seated at the bar in the Tipsy Bison with Tommy, Joel began to worry that his plan wasn’t working out as he, well, planned. His biggest fear being that you didn’t return his feelings, he hadn’t accounted for you not putting the puzzle pieces together.
“Nah, we came up with awesome clues, brother. She just needs to put it all together,” Tommy replied, taking a large pull from his drink. Swiping the back of his hand over his mustache, he added, “Maria’s over there now, nudging her in the right direction.”
Joel nodded, sipping at his own whiskey.
“The bigger question, I think, is what are you going to do once she’s figured it out? Please tell me you have a date planned after all this pining.”
“I have somethin’ in mind,” Joel said. “I think she’ll like it.”
“Oh yeah? Ya gonna tell me or is that a big secret too?”
“I’m gonna take her to the ol’ botanical gardens we found – the ones where I got some of those flowers. It’ll blow her mind.” Joel smiled at the thought of you seeing the gardens for the first time. It was a long ride, and the gardens were an overgrown mess, but you’d still be in awe of the plethora of flowers.
Tommy stared at him, amazed at both the lovesick look in his brother’s eyes and the romantic nature of the date. He’d never seen Joel like this, never knew him to have a romantic bone in his body, but it looked good on him.
“You sure are gettin’ sappy in your old age,” Tommy teased, unable to help himself.

On Friday night, determined to solve the mystery, you and Maria combed through the clues over a bottle of wine.
“Ok, let’s just start from the beginning and go over every detail for each flower,” Maria suggested. She arrived with a legal pad and pen in hand, remnants of her old life as a prosecutor. Adamant that the answer had to be right in front of you, she took notes as you reiterated each flower, its meaning, and associated clue.
You cracked open a second bottle of wine as you stared at the information on Maria’s notepad.
Jasmine – love, romance – Joyful moments shared, the answer lies in the air.

“Holy shit! I got it!” you declared excitedly; eyes still focused on the clues as your heart pounded in your chest.
“Fucking finally,” Maria mumbled under her breath, but you didn’t catch it. A little louder, she said, “Ok, show me what you got.”
