So what is the canon info that we have on Neige Leblanche? Like from the canon story and the special event like Glorious Masquerade.

Neige is 172 cm tall.

He is a sophomore at Royal Sword Academy, so he is ~17 years old.

Neige is considered “the most likable celebrity in the world”. He is known for “his disarming good looks and approachable nature”.

According to Mira, Neige been called pretty/beautiful more times than Vil has (based on Magicam comments).

Cater says that Neige is a top Magicam influencer.

Vil is often playing Neige’s evil counterpart in various productions. For example, he was given the offer to play the villain in the sequel to Legendary Sword, while Neige was to play the hero.

The rivalry between Vil and Neige appears to be entirely one-sided. Neige seems oblivious to Vil’s hostility and resentment of him, acting very friendly and inviting Vil to join him for singing and dancing.

His fan club name is “Eternal Snow”. Rook is its second ever member.

In Glorious Masquerade, Neige throws himself in front of fire lotuses to save Rook and Epel.

The Seven Dwarves state that they want to win the Harveston Sledathon so that they can share luck with everyone and make the world a happier place. “We know we can't make everyone happy all by ourselves. But if those close to us can be happier, like Neige... Then when other people see his smile, it'll lift their spirits! That's how we want to share it.”

The first time Vil co-starred in a movie with him, Neige would frequently leave. He would do his chores, attend rehersal, then go home and do more chores. He'd practice for the movie in what little spare time he had, and still always managed to cheerily greet Vil.

Neige has lived with the dwarves for years. They have been supporting each other for a long time (since he was child) and do not seem to have any adults in their lives.

Neige has never divulged his personal history to the press.

Rook states that Neige’s smile is that of “someone who’s overcome untold hardships. That’s why so many people are drawn to it.”

He apparently donates most of his pay to charity in order to aid underprivileged children with their futures. This is also something undisclosed to the public, but is known among his most dedicated of fans.

Like Vil, Neige was a child actor.

He won the title of Best Actor at the prestigious annual Diamond Movie Awards. Neige is considered the youngest recipient at 14 years old.

He calls Vil “Vii-kun”.

Rook calls him “Roi de Neiges”.

Rook had trouble expressing his emotions as a child—until the fateful day that he watched the musical King’s Road, which started Neige as the lead. The entire performance and its combined elements brought Rook to tears.

The very first time Rook dressed up to attend a performance was after he transferred to Pomefiore from Savanaclaw. Vil helped him get ready to see a show starting Neige.

Neige is seen in commercials for Red Apple Soda and Félicité Cosmetics’ Precious Protection Foundation in book 5.

Neige says he hasn’t seen Vil since the last movie they filmed together.

Neige is described as having perfectly choreographed walking and talking. His aura is also described as less intense and less glamorous than Vil’s, his smile like “a tiny flower blooming in an open field.” NPCs also call him very “accessible”, “friendly”, and wholesome”.

Neige is happy to hear Vil singing; he compliments Vil’s voice and calls it “absolutely incredible”. He also tells Vil that he looks forward to their VDC/SDC performance and encourages Vil after NRC’s loss.

Vil and Neige’s first production together was a musical drama set in a school. Neige was the star and Vil was their bully.

Neige chooses to perform an arrangement of a popular nursery song from the Shaftlands for VDC/SDC. He says he chose it because he “[wanted] to have a fun time and [to] share it with everybody watching the SDC. [He] figured something familiar would be the way to go [… he] wanted to share some special memories with [his] friends at school. […] if [they] could get the whole world to sing along with [them], it would make for an experience [Neige and the dwarves would] treasure forever.”

He’s been wanting to try apple juice from the Felmier family farm ever since Vil made a post about it on Magicam.

Neige was hypnotized by Jamil to sing for the cultural fair attendees. This served as a useful distraction while Yuu and co. dealt with OB Vil.

He seems to enjoy singing with others, be it the Seven Dwarves, NRC students, or whoever else wishes to join.

Neige recognizes Rook as “R”, a fan who goes to every single one of his meet-and-greets and writes him letters. R also buys each of his photos at fan events and composes poems to share his impressions of each photograph. In fact, Rook brought his Neige photo album with him to Ramshackle for their training camp!

Neige was surprised to find out R was a man, but quickly accepted it and encouraged Rook to please sign with his full name in future letters.

Jamil remarks that Neige handles situations with grace. “He's a leading global celebrity, but he still treats fans warmly and attentively. That's definitely a strength.”

Neige had never seen Vil cry outside of acting until NRC’s loss at VDC/SDC.

A movie adaptation of a children's novel starring Neige (~11 years old at the time) pulled in twenty million madol/thaumarks its first week.

Hello! First time writing. I have a question about your comic about Danny. I was wondering why his parents can't come up with something technical to make it easier for him to move around?The same SmartDrive for better mobility of the stroller, or maybe technical brackets so that you can walk somehow.I know that their technology is not very developed now and they mostly hunt ghosts, but I was interested. Forgive me if it sounded like a complaint.

So in the comic it's only been a little over 2 months since the accident, Maddie is still trying to find a medical reason for why Danny can't move his legs and aren't thinking along the track of inventing mobility aids or doing changes to their home to make it easier for Danny to get around apart from adding the ramp in the garage, moving Danny's room to down there and making sure the downstairs bathroom is accesable.

Jack on the other hand is thinking of all cool sorts of things he can invent for Danny. He made Danny a second motorized wheelchair with all sort of ghost hunting equipment (cus he is still a ghost hunting nerd) but Danny rejected it. Seeing that Danny made his own chair with his own preferences, Jack has moved on from making a wheelchair and is now drafting the Fenton-Ecto-Exoskeleton.

And Jazz got sidetracked from encuraging Danny to learn new skills related to his disability and is currently hooking up with her BF.

I am also considering giving Danny a way to motorize his Wheelchair either with something attachable making it more like a scooter or using the same technology as a electric bike where the engine gives you an extra push when you are pedaling. There will also be upgrades to the house so Danny can access every floor (For better or worse).

Oh God what if Rook learned french because of Neige

Oh, because of Neige’s French-sounding name? Neige LeBlanche literally means “Snow White” in French.

Weirdly enough, we don’t really have instances of Neige speaking (twisted!)French, though he does appear to understand Rook rather than be put off by him when he uses French phrases. (We know from Fleur City/City of Flowers locals speaking (twisted!)French that it is, in fact, a real language and not just unique Rookisms or something he came up with on his own.)

Many French words appear in Tapis Rouge as well! While we don't hear the Maquillaville (also in the Shaftlands) locals apeaking in French, French is used to refer to many of its dishes.

So it seems that "French" (as it exists in Twisted Wonderland) is associated with the Shaftlands (twisted!Europe, though the Queendom of Roses appears to be twisted!Britain), or at least some regions of the Shaftlands since other regions--like Harveston--are inspired by other cultures. For example, Harveston is a blend of Nordic cultures.

Idia asks if Rook is from the Shaftlands, which Rook denies. In fact, Rook's homeland is actually... Sunset Savanna. Idia and Ruggie are shocked that Rook can still fit in so well. Rook explains this by saying that it must be because of "how bright, friendly, and beautiful the people of this city are." He also adds later on that he looked into Fleur City/the City of Flowers in advance to prepare for this trip. Additionally, one of his favorite plays uses this location as its setting.

I wonder if Rook knowing French isn't because of his love and admiration for Neige, but due to where he comes from? We don't hear people in Sunset Savanna speaking in French, but if Sunset Savanna is considered twisted!Africa, then parts of Sunset Savanna would be influenced by France (ie parts of the Shaftlands) to parallel how the French colonized parts of Africa irl.

We'd have a better idea of why Rook knows French if we were to meet his family. If his parents and/or siblings also speak French, then I'd be more inclined to believe that Rook picked up the language due to where he grew up or from his family members. If the other Hunts don't speak French, then the language may have been something Rook learned on his own, perhaps because he is so devoted to Neige.

I hc cupbros parents don't spend much time in their life throughout their childhood but mostly teenhood till adult. Remember that post about Mugman where I said "a child having the responsibility to take care of another person can affect mental health "?

I know there are parents who don't spend much attention to their kids after they reach teen hood because they want them to be more responsible of themselves but at the same time didn't give them proper education (things only parents teach and not school) . Sometimes when taking care of a another one the caretaker can neglect themselves of their ACTUAL needs. It will/can lead to:depression,(seperation)anxiety?,paranoia?.Since their mother MIGHT have left them it's either because

1.running away from something like a secret debt

2.dont wanna deal with her family anymore

3.divorced

All of this makes Cuphead the 3rd parent (and main since they don't pay attention anymore)

I'm definitely of the belief that their parents were probably absent, quite a bit of proof towards the idea. Maybe it was accidental but I'm here for reading too much into shitty written characters, pfft.

And, quite frankly, it sort of seems like they were homeschooled, because, all though I can totally see Cuphead being a dropout (lol), I feel like Mugman wouldn't have actually gotten into half the shit he did if he was in school. Plus, it'd explain them not being the smartest if their *only* teachers were absent parents (one of which literally just left). And, it'd also add to the fact that they've literally only had each other, since it is genuinely so difficult to make friends when being homeschooled (I'd know, pfft). - But that's just one of many ideas for their upbringing, I don't think we'll ever really have a canon answer towards any of it.

But, Cuphead does give off the vibe of someone who has had to do the parenting and does care, but generally did not get a chance to really be a kid himself, so he's sort of all over the place (relatable, my guy).

Not sure if someone else has asked this, but what's your opinion on Lilia?He was quite low on your twst character tierlist so i was wondering if there was a specific reason(s) lol.I love hearing others insights and perspectives on Lilia since he is one of the most interesting characters in twst imo. 🦇

I originally had Lilia pretty high up (in the "like" tier) back in about 2022? I thought he was pretty chill and fun, an interesting contrast to the rest of Diasomnia, who come off as very serious or somber. But over time... I became increasingly annoyed with his behavior. As I state in this post, which documents changes in my feelings on the Twst characters over time, I still think Lilia's a far better parental figure than some of the other adults we've seen in Twst, but what really kills him for me is how overly lenient he is, specifically as it pertains to Malleus. Lilia's lapses in maturity no longer read as a cute quirk, they now come off as failures to be stern with those under his care.

One thing that really bothers me about Malleus is how he makes mistake after mistake but is never properly called out for them by the narrative. I'm not frustrated that he messes up (this is normal and expected for everyone because we're all imperfect!), I'm frustrated that Malleus doesn't seem to realize that he messed up most of the time. And if you're not aware of the issue, how can you target and address it??? I feel that part of this problem is because Lilia enables Malleus or doesn't fully commit to scolding him or taking the situation seriously when he really, REALLY should.

Back in book 2, Lilia tells Leona off for his underhanded tactics, calling him unworthy of the crown (and to be clear, Lilia has a right to be mad here, because Leona was literally threatening the health, safety, and wellbeing of his liege). However, where Lilia loses me is when he declares that Malleus is the noble and superior king when... ironically, we never see Malleus truly "lead" or even strongly express any positions on policies or governance. Lilia doesn't seem to hold Malleus accountable for doing any of his supposed duties either. I understand him filling in for Malleus at dorm leader meetings since he's often unreachable for them, but how come Lilia is handling so much of the dorm leader work, repeatedly makes excuses for Malleus not being there, AND fake cries and tries to shove the responsibility of finding Malleus onto other dorm leaders??? Azul is right when he says "What are we supposed to do, begin every meeting by searching for Malleus? This is HIS problem." Vil also rightfully points out that "Both [Lilia] and [Malleus] are making a mockery of this." Lilia ONLY begins to take the situation seriously when Leona and Idia begin questioning Malleus' and his royal status/how fit he is to rule. Why was he not concerned earlier???? If Lilia was REALLY concerned about Malleus connecting with his peers and making the most of his time at school, shouldn't he agree with them and push hard for Malleus to show up on his own???

I feel Lilia is extremely non-committal in that entire set of vignettes. One minute he's upset the dorm leaders "insinuated [skipping meetings] reflected poorly on [Malleus's] behavior", implying that Lilia disagrees with that take??? The next, he's telling Malleus off for "making excuses" and how he "ought to put more thought" into his conduct. Lilia even says that Malleus shares a fair bit of the blame and makes no effort to connect with his peers. But then when Malleus returns from a failed attempt, all Lilia does is laugh about it and not give him any proper closure or advice on what he can do better next time??? Which makes me think that all the times Lilia tries to advise Malleus now feel like just lip service. Where's the actual... I don't know, TEACHING????

That's not the only thing with Lilia. He frequently enables Malleus instead of properly showing him right from wrong (and yes, being TOO lenient is not great parenting). Instead of stopping Malleus from doing something drastic just to amuse some random ghosts that missed Halloween, Lilia joins Malleus, and this leads into the disaster that is Endless Halloween Night. He doesn't once think about how this would obviously worry the others, ESPECIALLY Silver (who legitimately got mad at Lilia for this prank)? Lilia is, quite literally, the only adult in the room and the guardian for Malleus while he's at NRC. He should know so much better than to pull off a stunt like this??? You can still have Halloween mischief, but maybe suggest something less extreme??? Or put up more of a fight when Malleus suggests it... Or be more sincere in your apology to the students you kidnapped... Something, ANYTHING.

And, worst of all, Lilia is always apologizing for or to Malleus while simultaneously also telling Malleus HE doesn't need to apologize for literally anything. Lilia tells him he doesn't need to say sorry for physically harming others, he doesn't need to say sorry for not controlling his temper, he doesn't need to say sorry for wasting his peers' time by missing meetings. Come ON, at least teach the guy to better control his emotions if you know how strong he is than allowing him to carrying on concealing?? (This feels like the kind of thing Elsa’s parents would do 💀) Malleus is NEVER held accountable for anything he does, he is constantly being coddled by Lilia as if he is an infant that needs to be shielded from any blame or fault. I think Leona really put it best when he tells Lilia that "[Malleus is] not some lost child. Quit treating him like one."

I think what made me fully realize that Lilia had gone downhill for me was when he was brought back from death by Malleus and Silver's combined love magic. What does Lilia do right after? He apologizes to Malleus. HE apologizes TO Malleus... for not realizing Malleus was lonely sooner?????? E-Excuse me???? 😭 Why is LILIA the one saying sorry when Malleus was the one intentionally hiding his own feelings??? Lilia cannot be expected to be a mind reader???? I get that maybe Lilia feels some responsibility for not accepting that others feel love for him (and therefore he denies Malleus’s affection for him) but the framing of the apology makes it come across as Lilia continuing to baby Malleus by shouldering all the blame for him after everything that happened. In turn, this is actually stunting Malleus and preventing his character from growing. This is so endlessly frustrating for me to watch OTL How's a lizard gonna learn anything if Lilia keeps creating situations in which Malleus is protected from any kind of responsibility, enables some of his prince’s worst possible aspects, and fails to teach him outside of frequent lectures about the importance of unity and understanding??? Obviously those methods aren’t working if Malleus has not changed a bit in his 3 years (which Lilia reports himself) at NRC.

For all that Lilia preaches about having Malleus expand his worldviews, Lilia sure is keeping Malleus pretty boxed in sometimes 😭 And for that... I, unfortunately, no longer enjoy him.
