you had been dating paige for 5 months, now. she was the best person you had ever met, and an even better lover than you could have ever imagined. but, being in the public eye isn’t necessarily ideal, especially when you’re queer. paige was a basketball player at uconn, and you had been famous for a few years. you had been famous before you knew paige, and even before paige was famous. it’s awesome, and you love it. the lifestyle can be very rewarding and enjoyable.

but, being ‘famous’ comes with its faults. as most things do. over the years, you had developed this sort of…. title. this title being that you are some kind of insane serial-dater. it was pretty ridiculous. of course, paige loved you for you, and didn’t really give a fuck as to what people had to say about you. but, it’s still obviously hurtful, and paige gets that.

present day, the epsy’s were coming up. this is something that meant a lot to your girlfriend. and, quite frankly, you’d do anything to make her happy.

until that thing was going as her date (or +1) to the epsy’s. not that you didn’t want to, not that it was because you were gay. but, because you knew how much this could mess with both of your careers. you didn’t really care about your own, cause people are gonna talk about you regardless, but paige’s social presence made it hard to just come out and do whatever you guys want.

“i mean, i’d just really want you there. we can like…. coincide outfits ‘n shit.” paige says, looking over at you, eating a bite of her cereal.

“yeah, p. i understand.” you say, sighing. you look down at your hands, acting like you were paying attention to anything to distract her (and yourself) from the fact that you really just do not know how it would go, and that fact is stressful in itself.

“baby, if you don’t want to go, it’s fine. im just saying it would be cool.” she says, and you meet her eyes again.

you know she’s right. it would be really fuckin’ cool. but like, at the same time, you really didn’t want to have to receive all of the texts from your publisher of news articles with pictures of you and paige where they essentially just put your name in bold letters then talk about how much of a slut you are for dating 4 people in your approximate 5 years of being famous.

yes, it may seem like a lot. but, also, most of these relationships only lasted a few months. you never necessarily wanted them to go public, but, they almost always did. that’s why you and paige took extra precautions.

obviously, one day, you wanted to tell people about you and paige. but, you wanted it to be when you guys had atleast made it past the new relationship stage.

but, if im all dressed up, they might as well be lookin’ at us. and if they call me a ‘slut,�� you know, it might be worth it for once. and if im gonna be drunk, i might as well be drunk in love.

you couldn’t help but give in. there was exactly a week before the epsy’s, and even though you’d kept telling paige you really didn’t think going was a good idea, you felt so bad for saying it that you randomly changed your mind.

“p, come here.” you say, calling from the couch in your living room. she walked in the room, hands on her hips, sleeves rolled up. she was loading the dishwasher for you, as the ‘gentleman’ she was (in a world of boys, (s)he’s a gentleman.)

“yes, baby? what’s wrong?” she says, walking toward you and sitting down, resting an arm on the back of the couch behind your head. “i wanna go with you, p. ill go with you to the awards.” as you say this, you fiddle with the hem of her basketball shorts.

“you wanna go with me? seriously?” she perks up. her whole face immediately lights up. this was the reason you were doing it. that reaction right there.“yes, love. i want to go with you.” she grabs your chin, pulling your face closer to her and gently pressing a kiss to your temple.

“you know, you don’t have to go if you don’t want to. i know you don’t want to read about all of the stupid shit men online say about you. they don’t even know you and it’s so infuriating that they think they can talk about my baby like that. my sweet, sweet girl...” she rubs your side, kissing your temple gently a few more times while babbling a few more sweet names in your ear.

“i know, p. but, i also know i don’t owe anyone shit, and if i want to go out in public with you, i shouldnt be scared. i mean- it’s just…. like, i don’t want to keep hiding us because of the fact that people always have some stupid shit to say. you know, if they call me a whore or if they call me a slut, it might be worth it. it may just be worth it this once.” she smiles ear to ear as you say this. seconds after this, she tackles you onto the couch, pecking all over your face as she tickles your sides.

half asleep, takin’ your time in the tangerine neon lights. this is luxury. you’re not saying you’re in love with me, but, you’re goin’ to. half awake, takin’ your chance, it’s a big mistake. i said, ‘it might blow up in your pretty face.’ im not sayin’ do it anyway, but you’re going to.

the night finally arrives. you guys are both getting your hair done. paige is wearing a lilac suit, and she looks ridiculously attractive. you were wearing a white dress with lilac heels, to coincide with her.

you guys get to the carpet, and it feels so surreal. you guys are finally out together and it’s just fucking insane. she does a few interviews, and they even ask you for your own pictures (even though you’re not an athlete)

the awards themselves are good, paige presents and even changes suits. she looks fuckin’ phenomenal.

but, then the after-party comes. the lights are tangerine and kinda dim, everyone’s drunk, and some people are even outside in a swimming pool. (???)

you had been to award shows yourself, but this was so cool. paige grabs you guys drinks throughout the night, careful not to get too wasted, but enough to get a little tipsy. by the end of the afterparty, so many pictures of you guys had been taken you felt like it was kinda too hard to hide your relationship from the world anymore.

while this wasn’t the main goal of tonight whatsoever, paige decided it was time to make your relationship social media official. she thought you deserved to be loved out loud, and honestly she couldn’t give any less of a fuck who said what. you loved her. she loved you. that’s all that mattered.

Teru is distressed, he’s fucking devastated, he feels betrayed and hurt by the only person he’s trusted as much as he has, teru reacts impulsively when it comes to something that weakens him. akane was right when he referred to him as a little kid, he is like a child, he does not know how to control his emotions since he wasn’t taught, and sure as hell not having a mom made it worse

also his face 😭 my mans is HURT

Him not knowing if he should treat akane like a human or like a supernatural hurts me. this reminds me of the picture perfect arc with hanako and nene, akane being in hanako’s place and teru being in nene’s. akane making the decision for the greater good that he doesn’t even fully believe in, just as hanako did when he made shijima make the painting

Akane looking worried like that shows he really did care about teru too, and what he thinks of him, i mean like look at him he looks disappointed too, but in himself

Teru’s perspective shot on the top left is painful like the rest of this chapter, him looking down at akane with a face of disbelief, as akane removed his hand from his tie, and redoes it, explaining the rest.

again, reminding me of the picture perfect arc, with the whole “be here long enough and you’ll forget your past life” with again, akane in hanako’s place and teru in nene’s

Akane says this could be a better present for Nene, and we see her initial hope of being popular come true (also taking aoi’s problem away, as stated at the beginning)

but he also says this could be a better/more preferable present for teru aswell, which makes me want to see how teru’s life changed, and what akane considered something teru would want, and what he lost to gain it. (like how nene gained popularity but lost hanako and the connections she made bcs of meeting him)

Fuck i just realized something. Akane was under the impression teru has a crush on aoi so what if he made them closer as in like dating closer SHE CALLS HIM TERU-KUN is this what akane meant by “some people might prefer this ‘present’ over the former one. could be you president.” HUUH

i have a problem with saying “this will never happen, i know it wont, and i wont even consider it” and genuinely will be under the belief that it wont, but then it fucking happens and if thats what happened here i might as well archive my acc

Back to the current topic, as a wielder of time, an important part of making this present, is making sure there is no way his memories will be replaced too, or so im guessing. He says "some" and “their” instead of "we" or “people like us” when talking about the people that will forget the old present. Meaning if akane des remember, he will be so indefinitely alone and self aware (him knowing so much more than the rest of them) and have to play along with everything. Everyone else has the comfort of forgetting, which will make it much easier to adjust, meanwhile if things stay the same, akane will be the only one to remember and will be like this for as long as they stay like that.

Which i like this new one, as mitsuba and kou can be friends without one of them literally being dead, and how aoi can be more open and is closer to nene, but if this is how it ends (obviously not this chapter but if it ends with them staying in the new present) tbhk is so fucked.

its kind of a win-lose, lose-win type of thing, but either way akane’s cooked.

The claim in the Shakespearicles post that mankind gave up inventing until 1921. What do you call Radigan in the 1890s then idiot.

Different claims on Merasmus' age (older than the universe in doommates, vs 6000ish in the lore comics) (this means the universe is 5999ish i guess okay)

Scout claims in comic 4 that he met Ms Pauling 6 years ago. Medic claims the mercs have shared "at least" 8 halloweens together. Despite both of these, the catch up comics imply the gravel wars with our mercs only took place over one summer. The first two are supposed to be meta jokes I think (ms pauling debuted in the war update comic, 2009, 5 years before comic 4 [miscalculations again??], and the first scream fortress was also 2009, 8 years before comic 6) but come onnnn be consistentttt.

Australian women had moustaches in the 1890s, but Mags doesn't? I've blamed this on long term Australium Depletion but its still annoying.

Saxton Hale claims its 2010 on the mannconomy update page, but the corresponding comic takes place in the 60s. I'm presuming this means the comic takes place on a different part of the timeline from Saxton’s notes but okay.

The crazy wild Australium retcon. So Sniper was created in 2007 to be australian. Then they invented Saxton Hale for Spy vs Sniper in 2009. Then people liked him so he became important. So in 2010, the engineer update invented Australium (although it was alluded to as early as the classless update a bit before that) and the corresponding comic claimed it made all australians buff. Despite this, in 2011 Sniper's parents were given very not buff, probably bc the artist was hella rushed at the time and had no time to reread the engineer update stuff. Then the comic writer remembered scrawny bastard Sniper was Australian, although maybe the regular writers were cooking excuses for that before then. So we got the New Zealand excuse in 2014 (im pretty sure), but that still didn't explain away his parents looking normal. Thus, my australium depletion theory. Valve should just hire me at this rate smh.

Silas Mann. They were setting him up to be somewhat important I'M SURE OF IT. They even retconned a mann co "quarterly concern" from the classless update to include his name for the engineer update! And they changed the cover slightly. Can't tell if this is a retcon or some abandoned "they tried to cut him out of history" sideplot thingy to explain how Silas became the Horsemann. I'm still holding out hope he returns in comic 7.

Abe Lincoln died two different ways and still became a mercenary? I excuse this as he faked his death a little too well (some blueprints imply it in the engineer update)

Speaking of, a coin claiming he invented the rocket jump despite MY BOY SHAKESPEARICLES. GAH.

This is just off the top of my head, mind you, and i haven't finished lore research. Expect many more grievances.

But yeah no in conclusion the writers need a calculator and also to consult each other more often so they don't contradict each other

i have a bunch of ocs but I’ll just talk about my main oc ryoko right now !!

her full name is ryoko ‘007’ aizawa. I’ll explain the 007 in a minute !! she’s aizawa’s adoptive daughter.

her parents (her dad more specifically, her mom was more of a bystander) are both from very wealthy families and merged. Her parents had an arranged marriage and after some chatter to get to know each other they’re conversations take a little bit of a turn..and inbetween bonding about their favorite movies oop! A lil comment about how the world would he better off without heroes..oh you think so too ? Well look at that, we have so much in common!! long story short they both decide that the want to create something that will be able to take down all might and the entirety of hero society and it’s restrictions,,and I’m pretty sure you can guess what that something was ! nine months later ryoko is born yipeee…!

during her entire pregnancy ryokos mom went through some quirk experiments (sponsored by doctor garaki 👍) because they knew that with both their quirks alone they wouldn’t be able to create a super weapon. (ryokos dad has an overhaul type quirk, and her mom has a healing sort of quirk) so they did some experiments hoping something would change in the womb, and when she was born the kept on doing experiments until she started manifesting a quirk w no attributes from her either of her parents and manifested a fully different quirk than she was originally meant to have,

since she had those experiments done ryokos body adapted to be able to handle her quirk, but it’s not perfect unfortunately.

heres a simple little chart of how it works ! (BTW I DO NOT DRAW LIKE THIS ANYMORE THIS IS OOOOLLLLDD😭😭😭😭)

her quirk is a lot like neijires as in she uses her own energy and converts it into power ! The amount she uses shows in her hair :3 ryoko tho, unlike neijire can do multiple things from sending blasts, to powering herself up to make parts of her body stronger, to making it hard objects like stepping stones she uses to navigate and weapons like dual swords or chains to restrain ppl !! she can also drain other peoples energy (and from her surroundings, but thats only in 100% mode ! ) because of the fact that her body had been modified, ryoko can carry more energy into herself than regular people which is why she can drain energy without any major drawback to a certain extent ! However, her drawbacks are way more severe, overusing her quirks makes her sleepy and drowsy, it gives her nosebleeds and very worse case scenario if she were to have too little or too much energy she could die :0 !!

(ALSO !! I lil extra tidbit: ryoko is capable of sensing peoples energy’s if she concentrates hard enough, it works better if shes seen them before, but she can sense all the energy in humans in her surroundings or if she has a picture, tho it’s slightly weaker and is limited to one person at a time. This is a form of remote viewing that i gave her bc of my obsession w stranger things i had !!😭)

its a pretty powerful quirk that her parents and other scientists knew they could use well, but unfortunately for them ryoko ended up liking heroes (she was barely educated, so she had no idea that she felt admiration for heroes and especially all might, she was alsovaguely aware that she was taught to do the wrong things, because she’d be forced to use her quirk on robots/ small animals in some cases.)

her parents weren’t supposed to feel any affection towards her so they decide to just give her a code name 007 :D which i realized a little too late was the same as james bond..woops😭

anyways fast forward to the biggg “earthquake” incident, shes rescued by a group of heroes, eraser head included :D unfortunately shes detained in tartarus since her being in a constant state of panick set her quirk off and she couldn’t stay in a regular hospital so ryoko has canonically been to tartarus as a inmate at the age of 4 😭! Oh forgot to mention this, but ryoko got her quirk veryy early due to the experiments done before her birth and after.

since ryoko cant control her quirk an aizawa can cancel them, they’re a pretty good matchup !! Fast forward some more and shes living with him ! he adopts her and lets her go to school, where she meets izu n katsuki and they quickly become friends because. Of COURSE. My main ocxcanon ship is a CHILDHOOD FRIENDS TO LOVERS ONEEE😭😭😭😭will i ever stop. raise your hand if you’ve ever seen that one comin

Idk if anyone else knows it but its a story driven one set to the song We Hit A Wall by Chelsea Wolfe and the basic story is like, quasimodo and anastasia from cinderella are siblings to lady tremaine and frollo who hate them for being ugly. Theyre invited to events w other high society rich ppl but theyre bullied for being different. Quasi and anastasia run away and in the middle of the night theyre visited by a fairy godmother played by Cinderella (who also was like, their maid at home i think? Like in disguise basically) and transforms them so when they wake in the morning theyre both beautiful and attractive. Anastasia looks like anastasia from the movie of the same name and quasimodo looks like uhh i forgot his name red haired prince guy

But the rest of the story is they come back home and are accepted by their parents. Lady tremaine at the beginning totally catches Frollo cheating on her w Esmeralda and after the kids come back she forces Frollo to accuse esmeralda of cursing their kids to become ugly and now that theyre back to "normal" shes to be burned as a witch.

This horrifies quasi and Ana and despite finally being accepted they cant live like this. I barely remember the end beyond the two running back to the farm they escaped to earlier and changing back to their original selves w the help of cinderella bc they accept themselves for who they are.

Its a wild story to watch and im upset i couldnt save it bc i didnt think the video would disappear like that.

Judicial wasn’t something that appeared by himself, friends and others called him it and said the name fit him, he didn’t understand completely why he was being called such a name, nor did he understand, (he is like a judge, and goes by justice and law stuff grrr) and I guess he’s judicial, even if he was apart of his old team they called him that because he did things and acted like a judge but never really realized, he was still nice to them but if they did something wrong like damn… but Orchid surely cannot be Judicial for that long yeah, things often change, for the best, and for the worst, nothing ever stays the same.

He has to run away and hide of his past eventually of course! so, that’s what he does, he left everything he had, everything he made and built all behind, he soon changed a lot about himself and made sure he got rid of the people from his past even if it was hard and he didn’t want to, but even if he tried to get rid of some people he just simply couldn’t get rid of them, even if he was held at gun point,

But soon this man somehow ended up being in a taskforce he thought he’d never even be in, he didn’t understand how but he did soon realize why after he heard a lot about the captain and how Laswell knew him well, and he heard from the whispers around base how captain price picked up a new stray, they talked as if it was so normal, either way he was placed into work so quickly, not that he cared, a lot. It was better than orchid sitting in absolute silence, in his dark room, having old memories replaying in his head, sounds replaying, some he wanted to try and at least remember but honestly? He couldn’t.

But during one of the missions, the team and him were walking throughout the forest, the wilderness of all things for said mission yeah, but when they were walking through flowers, orchids. He started screaming and panicking, his screams were filled with terror and they didn’t know what was going on with him, with orchid, he has a heavy phobia of bugs, and there were bugs on the flowers, and on him, the others couldn’t see it of course but orchid could. And he tweaked the fuck out completely, afterwards they started calling him orchid, because all they seen was orchid, screaming and being terrified of the orchid flowers, and every single time he tried telling them it was the stupid damn bugs, they were just “Yeah totally uh-huh, yeah we hear you.” And so every time they bring it up (they even go as far as pretending there is a flying bug near him or coming at him) and it tweaks him the fuck out completely, and mind you, he’s a grown man rounding up to his late 20s to early 30s. He’s just, special. (Literally he literally had AuADHD because I say so!!! *I like giving my persona characters traits of myself*)

I also tried the texts somewhat faded but not too faded so you are able to read what it says, I might make a docs abt him soon but I like drawing and talking abt lore for him when I do so, since it’s more fun but I will definitely do more stuff that includes my stardew valley farmer oc and this oc of mine (I’m getting good with the mark)

And also he was like young when he loses his spouse because it was like years ago so when he joins the 141 he’s like, in his late 20s to early 30s and this is basically getting into his backstory, also he has sessions where he has to basically talk to Laswell about Makarov and everything he knows abt him because, (listen even if he’s apart of the team he still has to because it’s Makarov? It’d be weird to hold out information of knowing him) but he still knew Makarov nonetheless, having him talk and tell them stuff abt Makarov, but not almost everything, some of it is just too personal for him to share with the team.

Strange, I have always thought it was spelled as Wasayago. But recently I've realized, I can't read very well.

I want to send appreciation today, to you.

You've taught me a lot about art. You've taught me a lot how to draw certain things, and you have opened my eyes to new perspective of art, ever since I started following you. Colours are brighter, I experiment more, I can see a specter of visuals that was previously hidden from me. It's like gaining shrimp colors.

Your art feels like an art classroom. There's sun pouring in from the windows, and there's tree leaves in front of them. Every time you come in you see different art projects. Paints add on to the tables, that will never scrub off again. There's dirty cups with paint water, and brushes, in the sink. It's lunch break, and there's people here. Some are just doing their math homework right before class, some are working on their sculpture, some are picking out paints, some are working on their new piece, on a fresh canvas. And it is so alive.

Your art feels so alive. Like the leaves, the people, the stains. It's really nice to see, every single time you post, how lovingly you bring a character into the world (My favorite so far is that one doodle of Modern au Gillion eating noodles, I have it in my favorites gallery).

I would like to see some unfinished, maybe forever to be so, doodles that you weren't especially proud of. We'll love it all.

im happy to know that you feel this way about my art, and im glad i could help you with some advice! it feels a bit weird to show unfinished or scrapped art under such a nice message, but yeah why not. and its funny that you mentioned the gillion eating noodles one, because its also one of the pieces that i really didn't like and didn't want to post hdgsh. i dont have that many unfinished drawings left because i delete or redraw most of them, but i have a couple that might be fun to share... and i guess it's gonna be a long post bc i wanna tell a little about each one or at least name them.

there's this art of chip, the first time i properly tried to figure out a way to draw him back when i just started listening. redrew this piece later, kept the sketch on the left, but the right one i changed completely because i didn't like the vibe this one has.

there's this attempt at redesigning caspian after i found out he was a water genasi, plus the first version of that art of caspian, pretzel and gill. this design didn't feel "caspian" enough, it looked too soft and kind where i wanted him to be more layed back and chill and sarcastic and with a bit of an edge. redrew both pieces later. the underwater drawing also has an unfinished background in this version, i added some fishies later so it didn't feel that empty.

some random sketch of gillion to show off how the lightning scars look on his face and neck. i quite like it, but it didn't really fit in the post with three proper drawings and one sketch so i decided to scrap it.

there's this drawing where i tried to figure out how the capital of the undersea looked like. i really didn't know where i was going with it and didn't have a good idea when i started drawing, so its a mess of things with nothing to really focus on. i tried to add a character on it later to breathe some life into it, but it didn't work out since i didn't focus it on the character from the beginning. plus i don't like how the colors turned out, and the entire concept of the environment feels weak and boring to me. i still want to draw more concepts of the undersea and try a couple other ideas, but probably at a later date...

the first version of whatever try it was to design gill's armor. (fun fact, i have more armor designs scheduled for tomorrow). this one i redrew almost immediately, i really didn't like how it turned out and how the legs were cut off and it looked so messy with no real accent point or personality. plus the smaller copy of the drawing in the corner just didn't look good. im not exactly proud of the redrawn version either (that's why i did another one yesterday lol), but im glad i redrew it anyway, it looks a lot better than this one.

the first sketch of that one gillion drawing. i couldn't figure out the colors for it for so long and wanted to drop the idea entirely. but i left it to sit for a couple hours and eventually got the motivation to come back to it and finish it. for most of the illustration pieces i did for jrwi there were multiple versions, where i just didn't like the first one and redrew the whole thing with a different composition and colors. didn't save any of those drawings tho...

this drawing of jay but with green wings and a slightly different color shirt. it was actually the first version of this drawing, and i changed the colors to blue later. wanted to post both of them side by side but then decided against it. that's why this drawing survived and was properly saved and not just deleted.

more recent attempts at designing the chaingel. i like the concept, and the pose in the second sketch is pretty badass, but the execution is just not there. it doesn't feel right, doesn't have the right kind of vibe that this character gives off. so im sure i will try and draw her later when i figure out what's missing and how to show her personality in the way it feels in my head. but these two sketches were never going to see the light of day, so now they're here.

aand this is it, this is everything that wasn't deleted in the past month for one or another reason. i feel like im more chill with deleting and redrawing things, so a lot of initial sketches and concepts never get saved or seen by anyone. im also on mobile so i can attach only ten files lol. not that it matters, the last two were just random figure drawings for warm up, not much to talk about.

like yeah ruby had no arc. she had huge fears of abandonment - but turns out her biomum loved her and named her and immidately reconnects when she finds out. wouldnt it be stronger to have her biomum not want her, or to suck, or to be dead or something? and ruby could learn that shes worthy all on her own?

also why is ruby finding her biomum not connected to 15s struggles with his own "adoption"?

and the show is like ohhh you were stupid for ever thinking theres something supernatural about rubys mum she's not important/special!! like we all only thought she was special bc the show told us that!

the season as a whole theres a huge lack of the doctor like. looking at clues and figuring them out (so we can understand him as a character). like he does it in ep1-3 and 7 lots but theres so much of the series where he does nothing! we dont see him figure out he needs the outside metal, we're just suddenly in a scene about him getting it. we dont see him and ruby figure out a plan to defeat sutekh, they did that offscreen!

also making sutekh destroy all life and then they bring it back easily is unsatisfying yknow? have them work to stop him killing everyone! have them do things (like in sutekhs original episode pyramids of mars).... instead of giving the doc and ruby stupid plot armour.

and sutekh being wrapped around the tardis since the 4th doctor is such a strange and baffling retcon lmao

I know this ask is pretty old and at the time I agreed with you but I couldn't really think of much more to say. Looking through my inbox and seeing it today though made me reflect on the writing again and you touch on some problems that I've been feeling with the show even more since watching the new Christmas special.

Nothing is set up properly, our heroes aren't shown figuring anything out, and the pacing is all over the place.

When the show was first revived it followed a classic, serial, monster of the week style formula. The Doctor and companion(s) arrive in a place which contains some sort of threat. The setting is explored by our protagonists and hints at the threat are dropped slowly, increasingly building tension until the identity of the threat is revealed and the rest of the episode is dedicated to running from the monster and figuring out how to beat it. I can't speak for Moffat and Chibnall's time as showrunners, but this is how the average episode goes from series 1 to series 4.

This format is well-paced, it has set up and pay off, and it's compelling because the viewer is always along for the ride. We figure out the episode's mysteries at roughly the same pace as our heroes because the writers gives us roughly the same information that they give the protagonists.

The new episodes pretty consistently fail at these fundamental principles. There is often a great disparity in knowledge between the protagonists and the audience.

Why are all these accidents happening around Ruby? It's Goblins that feed of accidents, which the Doctor already figured out off screen.

Why is all the music gone now? Oh wait we already saw at the beginning of the episode, its Maestro. Guess we have to wait for the Doctor and Ruby to figure it out. How are they gonna beat them? Oh like they have to play a special chord, a fact they figure out randomly and then the Beatles do it for them I guess.

Oh man how's the Doctor gonna get off this landmine? Ah an AI ghost fixes it for him cool.

Who is this mysterious woman following Ruby and why is everyone who interacts with her changing like this? Lol lmao the writers couldn't think of any answers so I guess we'll never know.

Wow, how are the Doctor and Ruby gonna beat Sutekh? They figure it out off-screen. RTD seemingly wanted to prove he could be just as much of a hack as Moffat with this one.

How is the Doctor going to save Joy and deal with this ominous briefcase? We get a whole montage about his life while he does this, and he still fucking figures it out off-screen goddamn you Steven Moffat.

These episodes feel too fast paced and unsatisfying to watch because they're all pay off, no set up. We barely get a chance to figure things out, because nothing is established. In episodes where we do get sections of slow build up, we usually either already have the answers that our protagonists are looking for, or the build up was pointless and the characters figure out how to win by magic. The pacing in many episodes is exhausting because you're being given a million questions and none of them are answered, our heroes just figure it out off screen or suddenly by magic and the show has to play you some overbearing dramatic music to tell you how important the moment is because the writing does nothing to invest you in the plot.

I was hoping for a return to form from this series, but it seems like we're just getting more smug nonsense. It's really disappointing.

I definitely think that it was a terrible experience that gave him a whole wagon full of horrible coping mechanisms and bad habits(and from where the fic is going, I'm guessing you think similarly), but I wanted to know how you thought his training went. BIG things in canonical material that I feel like are important, especially if they're highlighted. i'm not really going to elaborate much since its kind of spelled out already but i'll say a few things nonetheless (also for consistencies sake i'm going to say lost but do know this ALSO applies to wild) he was the youngest knight appointed in history. like even that alone is FUCKED??? i don't remember if it was something in canon, fanon or something kay n i made up (but it doesnt rlly matter since its canon to the lost hero au ANYWAY!) but he became a knight at TWELVE soon after pulling the sword. then proceeded to become a royal guard at 17. this is a kid surrounded by adults in a generally Unsafe Environment, that alone is enough for some level of fucked. ill explain the "hes been training since he was four" later since i have Thoughts about that, but on a unrelated note do notice that mipha makes the assumption that lost is reckless and not through actually seeing him being clumsy. hyrulean guard when i get you now, to me the vow of silence was something that stemmed from before the calamity and started up in his training. because thats a twelve year old being forced to be a hero when he never got the choice to. OBVIOUSLY hes going to shut down. again, this will be expanded upon later also. lost is canonically self sacrificial. VERY self sacrificial. no further comments, just saying OKAY. NOW ITS LATER BC ITS TIME TO YAP ABT THE "inspired by canon but like. its canon plus." canon is bent in specific ways bc the way link is characterized (in cac specifically) makes him very uh,,,, inhuman i suppose. i love looking at scenarios where decisions have consequences, and it's that specific reason why i enjoy "what if" aus so much.

yes, lost was still trained when he was four. no it was not formally. to me, lost had an interest in swordsmanship because his dads a knight! hes going to be exposed to at least a little bit at an early age. he was insistent on wanting to learn, so with the power of sticks, pot lids, and a lot of positive reinforcement, he learned how to do the movements of swordfighting. he'd never been given a proper sword until the guard brought him to zora's domain. lost's dad never wanted to force the position of hero onto him, so he never gave him a sword. everyone knows that he's the hero except him, and lost's dad would rather keep it that way until he's old enough to climb mount lanayru (it happens much earlier than that) now abt the fucking "According to tales told by the long-lived Zora, Link visited Zora's Domain when he was younger and formed a bond with them, defeating a Lynel and teaching various skills to Zora children. This story sheds light on both his physical abilities and his strength of character." from creating a champion just like. isn't canon in this. the only other recorded time lost fought a lynel in zoras domain was when he was already zelda's guard and he was not younger. so by proxy it must've been when he was four WHICH ISN'T HAPPENING SORRY GUYS!!!! i'm not having a four year old fight a lynel hero or not!!!! it's referenced in lost hero canon (the soldiers accompanied made jokes and tried to egg lost on but it got shut down real quick since a. his dad was there and b. literally anyone who have thinking caps would go "yeah um... no actually!") and now its fanon time :))) when lost was in the army, he was usually trained separately from the other knights, mostly because of skill difference. as a CHILD he was able to clear soldiers, he needed different training period. as for the actual formal training, it was extremely strict. terrible conditions stemmed from an awful reward "system" (that usually led to lost being extremely fatigued and starting an endless loop of punishment. there is a reason why lost can push through awful conditions: hes used to it) all blanketed with the justification of "he's the hero of hyrule." they trained him to be a weapon, not a person. he doesn't have a sense of self nor an identity outside of "hero" "champion" or "weapon." things like "brother" got stripped from him when he joined the academy. they didn't bother with setting up a future for him. he eventually figures his shit out but thats YEARS down the line, and even then he's still suffering from this,,,, self objectification? idk how else to describe it when he wasn't getting grilled for "not swinging his sword hard enough" or having his foot a centimeter off even though he hasnt had the privilege of Basic Necessities To Survive in (insert timeframe) he was usually doing something in the coliseum. as it turns out, having the hero show off in front of an audience by fighting a lynel (or multiple) is a GREAT money maker! shame he wasnt usually told beforehand!

being forced into heroism is a big reason as to why hes the silent knight. he never wanted this. being separated from his family (whom of which i have Many thoughts about. same for his childhood honestly) and surrounded by strangers who have no care for who he is but rather what he stands for was absolutely awful, and only made worse by his age. being silent and just dealing with it is how he coped, and its eventually going to boil over (just give it a few years) his knight training was one of THE worst things to happen to him, right under failing to save his kingdom and inadvertently being the cause of hyrule's demise. it's the reason why he acts the way he does. he wasn't allowed to forget, so instead it influences almost everything he does, says and thinks. SO YEAH IT WASNT A GOOD TIME

Some new years rambling

I dont want to get too personal bcs this is the internet but still I want to get something out... for me at least! For posteriority, since I dont really keep journals or anything like that

But anyone who wants to read me ramble is welcome to read this as well, and well... happy new year you guys!

Its been a very long year for me personaly

I made a lot of big changes in my life: Took a big step by moving on my own for the first time, became almost completely independent financially, started my transition, saw my first concert, worked on keeping friendships even at a distance, grew close to someone i care a lot about... it has not been easy at all, hell its been a roller coaster of emotions and problems and I havent really solved them all and Im still struggling with a lot... but... im taking steps towards having a better life... or a REAL life, something I want to live or that I can be content with. its... well, its a big deal!

I remember when I was 18 and the year was turning, i was tipsy and alone at my mother's house hiding from the noise of fireworks and sobbing my eyes out because i thought i hit my deadline to "Fixing" myself and I didnt manage to do it but also didnt have the courage to end things. I felt pretty fucking lost back then, I thought life would always be this... this sludge of nothingness, and I felt a lot of guilt abt it too

But now here I am, struggling but making an effort, and aiming for something more despite how far behind I feel I am. I feel optimistic, hell, I feel like happiness is achievable. Its both scary and a huge relief.

IDK... I guess I'll keep doing my best, and I'll try to be kinder to myself regarding my flaws and my mistakes. I'll forgive myself more, and because of it I'll push myself more as well to be better, to do better, and aim for something good for me.

here's a few concrete wishes I have for my next year!!!

Get a driver's liscence: Now that my legal name is changed and my face is changing as well... doing anything regarding legal documents isnt as scary

Manage to work out for a year: hormones are giving me more confidence to look at myself. And now is the perfect time to try building muscle mass! Oh and be healthy i guess LOL

Figure out a better cleaning routine: My poor house has suffered so much under my carelessness and stress... im so sorry...

Get a bycicle: much needed means of transport in my city to be more independent

Work harder on portfolio and job seeking: again the legal documents thing made it very scary for me to do this... im a bit more confident now

Adopt a pet: this one will happen if I feel ive become responsible enough both with chores and money

first things first. Her name is wysteria (just a dif spelling of wisteria cause it looks cool) Bianca solace di angelo (or di angelo solace i can never decide…)

she has tanner skin and freckles but nico’s brown eyes and wills blonde hair. her hair is pretty dang long and sort of whispy almost like taylor’s at the start of her career. (also i find it funny if she were to just have the horrendous mash of an italian and southern accent lmao)

most of the time i imagine her she’s like 16-ish. she’s very kind and caring like will.

she’s either aroace or a lesbian or both i can’t decide yet-

she likes dresses over other clothes (we don’t judge a girl who knows what she likes even tho that’s a stereotype)

and her main powers are sort of a combination of hades and apollo but she more specializes in the light and dark aspects of the two gods.

SO she has really good light manipulation powers and can blind people and if she tries REALLY REALLY HARD she can make it a tangible object she can step on. she also glows cause idk it’s funny.

BUT she also has amazing shadow bending powers. she can again blind people but with obscuring their vision and she is MUCH better at shadow travel than nico is since her specialty is shadows. she’s not very great at the other hades aspects tho. she gets tired after like 10 jumps where nico gets tired after 1. so she normally fights by reaching out to the shadows and pulling them around herself and then zipping around the enemy and teleporting away before they can get to her. it looks very cool from afar. her main weapon is a stygian iron sword like nico’s but it looks kinda different and has some gold aspects. (hazel got the gold for her)

she loves music and to sing (ehem headcanon that she sung a version of nancy mulligan for one of nico and wills anniversary’s ehem)

but she is great all around and i love her even if i’m the only one who actually thinks of her existence.

to be quite honest, i haven't! i guess that in my head i kind of will always picture them sort of as like 15 year olds, bc that's how they are in canon and i also always see them younger as me, so i don't spend that much time thinking about an aged up solangelo (despite the fact that they're nearly in their twenties in talk your talk, wow) but!!! i love this hc omg!!!

i love wysteria first of all😭 my mind automatically goes to the lakes, and i just think that's SUCH a solangelo song so ofc i think that's a perfectly fitting name!!!

personally i'm a fan of solace di angelo bc when you put it into google translate, italian -> english, it means "angel's solace" (and i know that google translate is far from accurate, but i just find that so cute <3) but also my brain says make it alphabetical order (so di angelo solace...) either way both are great!!

(also i find it funny if she were to just have the horrendous mash of an italian and southern accent lmao) YES. YES. THAT'D BE HILARIOUS. i just imagine that like some words she would pick up from nico with an italian accent, and then some from will with a southern accent, and then those blended together in a sentence would be so funny😭

i loveee diving into the light manipulation powers. i find it so nice to see the things that nico and will have in common and how they could work together with those powers, i think they'd be so powerful (and also it'd look really sick)

sara - really cool protagonist actually i love her, not my favorite in the whole thing. more or less neutral on her actually but that could change <3

joe - oh my god he’s so stupid i love him.

keiji - he keeps calling sara cute🥲🥲🥲🥲why man🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲 i also don’t like how he keeps saying “im a cop” it reminds me of when kids are so bad at lying that the one way they can think of to convince everyone that they are something is to say it every two seconds so nobody forgets🥲not my favorite by a long shor

kanna - MAKES ME SAD. her and reko have a really fun dynamic though they’re cute together, siblings <3

reko- I LOVE REKO, i love how she practically took in gin and kanna and they call her big sis reko it’s the cutest thing ever to me i love sibling dynamics niki, i love them so much

nao - neutral-ish? i like her but she’s not exactly remarkable to me. the dynamic she had with the professor though was sweet☹️

kai - ohhhh kai. he’s akutagawa 2.0 to me. i don’t know what it is about him, he simultaneously reminds me of both korekiyo v3 and akutagawa bsd and my brain just attached to him so i guess he’s living here now! anyways i have probably 15 images of him on my phone from pinterest and i will probably doodle him later :] favorite housewife ever

mishima - UGHHSHSG HE WAS SO SWEET TO THE KIDS. AND HE WAS A TEACHER. EUGHAHGHZ. i’m so sad over him. he died too early ☹️☹️☹️☹️i was looking forward to the interactions he’d have with sara and gin and kanna and nao ☹️☹️☹️ HE WAS SO SWEET WITH THEM. also his bit with repeadedky asking sara if she was gonna smoke and slowly confiscating everything she collected bc he was really bad at hiding that he really wanted to smoke a cigar was really funny and i liked that bit a lot

Can't believe I'm saying this but this season has been progressing nicely. It was kind of slow and somewhat lacking but the more I play, the more excited I get. I even look forward to new updates every week ugh this is such a struggle I'm torn between disliking fusebox and liking this season 😂💀

This CA is enjoyable so far! But maybe I set my standard too low after ex in the villa, that's why this season seems better LOL

Marshall omg LOVE THE DESIGN but damn he is laying it THICK! Grace will definitely bring him into the main villa, if MC decides to stick or pick someone else. Also dude, siblings fight and hold grudges but I won't badmouth my own sibling to other people. He's definitely Bitter with Ozzy hmm very sus

Andy oh man Ryan who?? Elliot who?? I don't know them 🤷‍♀️ I actually like Marshall before but man I am a changed woman. He's hot, nice AND a vet????? I just hope fusebox won't ruin his character when he gets to the main villa 🥲

ok SO, the casa boys are really funny!

like I love the banter they all have with each other and they’ve all got different personalities?! I’m shocked!! it might end up being a Johnny/Nicolas situation where they completely change in the main villa, but we’ll see!

Im actually really enjoying the season too and I really love how everyone can make their mc’s so different both personality and looks wise

As for the casa boys. None have really caught my eye 😭 I thought for a minute hamish would because yeah he’s dorky and funny. But then we got the bacon kiss and it’s a firm no from me.

Francis surprised me. We guessed EXACTLY how he’d be. Like spot on. Gross with the pee comments. But he really just is there for vibes (and maybe a roof to sleep under bc he has no house)

Marshall, I’m undecided by. He’s hot as hell and the Marshall/ozzy dynamic gives me the Salvatore brothers a lil. But he does lay in on thick and I’m not a fan of that.

And then there’s Andy 🥰 what a sweetie. I’ve always said someone needs a job as a vet. I know I’m a Lewie Stan but something about Andy is too sweet for me. Not to mention he looks 15 and I feel icky.

So yes, I will be running back to the main villa single if they let me. Ready to be hurt by pixel boys already.
