୨ৎ my favourite workouts .ᐟ
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
01, PRE-WORKOUT .ᐟ
youtube
this is optional, but for me, i have very limited flexibility in my legs. flexibility exercises (like the one above!) were recommended to me by my physio! if you're the kind of person who cant touch their toes or can't put their feet flat on the ground whilst doing downward dog, this might be something you want to try!
02, BACK POSTURE .ᐟ
youtube
having good posture will not only drastically help you in the long run, but is also a super attractive trait that people tend to take notice of! this workout is probably my favourite and the one I've seen the most results from. I know a lot of other people on this app have recommended it too!
03, INNER THIGHS .ᐟ
youtube
hinafit 😍😍 love her. she posts a lot of pilates-style stuff too, if you want to check her out! i love this specific workout by her, i could really feel it working as i was doing it!!
04, SILENT .ᐟ
youtube
as someone who lives with other people, i love a silent workout. however, sometimes it can be hard to find silent workouts that actually give you results. this one works so well for me!!
05, FULL BODY .ᐟ
youtube
If you're interested in longer workouts, i literally cannot recommend this one enough!! it definitely is pretty exhausting so make sure to drink water and rejuvenate with food!
05, TUMMY / ABS .ᐟ
youtube
this ones super easy but super effective
Tumblr media
i will definitely post a more in-depth and updated list later down the track, but i hope you enjoy this for now!!

Just gotta say I’m absolutely delighted you don’t give ghost chiseled ass abs, that man needs all the strength he can get and the meat on his bones feels much more realistic/healthy than him having vanity esc muscles :)
Manifesting your days are well!! <3

💜meals and health💜
The struggle of having meals that taste good, increase your bodies health and also drop fat is real.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
1. a real breakfast
I’ll die with this. Breakfast is a must.
Start your morning with fruit, veggies some carbs and protein. That’s how you stay full over the day and get vitamins and nutrients in right away.
You can also add cucumbers, mint, lemon or lime into your water for the same affect.
You start your day good, it’ll motivate you and bring you energy. Your mood will lighten up and you feel energetic to go about your daily schedule.
My favorite breakfast will forever be porridge, with one banana and fruit. On the side a hot green or camomile tea.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
1. lunch or no lunch
Im not huge about 3 meals a day. I eat when I’m hungry. Wether you have a light snack, such as rice cakes, yoghurt, veggies, fruit or have a full meal is really up to you. Just make sure it’s worth the calories and is nutritious.
I usually enjoy chia pudding (put chia seeds in milk/water and a bit of yoghurt with banana or other fruit) or go for a real lunch, when I feel like cooking.
Meals with cabbage, veggies, salad, chicken, turkey, eggs or potato’s are ideal.
When I really go for chicken or any kind of meat, I make sure to use little to no oil or remove it when it’s cooking.
3. dinner
This is important, because with an empty stomach I can not fall asleep.
Dinner is either creatively put together or keep it simple. Normally, I have something that I really enjoy eating. Just keeping out fats and heavy foods that keep you up at night or get you bloated.
I avoid pasta and pizza.
Rice is a go but you gotta measure it smartly, because it can be a calorie bomb.
Potato’s are a go at anytime. They keep you full fast and long and they are low in calorie. Also, have some veggies. It’s actually that simple.
4. hard truth
You ate too much? You work it off and compensate for it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You can’t expect to be lighter and slimmer the next morning magically.
Be disciplined. Work for what you want to achieve. You body deserves good treatment.
You can achieve anything, just have faith and be patient while you work on your discipline🙏🏻💓

Windsong: I don't need to go to bed. I'm not tired, I'll be fine.
Vila: But, Comrade, I'll be so lonely without you... Come curl up in my arms so I can feel whole again.
Windsong: O-oh. Well. Are you trying to seduce me into healthy sleeping patterns??
Vila: Is it working?
😭 the fact I can see that happening is killing me
Let's say since Windsong had been getting more confident (by that I mean she's been more stubborn), Vila has to have a couple tricks up her sleeve. Unfortunately for Windsong, the Rusalka has experience in dealing with stubbornness.
Preparing Windsong's favorite meal when Windsong is oh so busy to get her to come out. If it doesn't work, there's this pitiful "But I've prepared it for you, don't you want to eat?" And Windsong folds.
Or when she doesn't want to go out and interact with other beings Vila tells her they could go to Windsong's favorite place afterwards. It always works out and Windsong herself doesn't even know why.
She folds.
She could never resist Vila.
And she's been sleeping 8 hours a day because of Vila's deadly grip.

hii! I’m in university in my 3rd year and all is going well but i’m starting to have a super packed schedule. i’m getting everything done on time but some lab and club responsibilities have taken the brunt of my new schedule. do you have any recommendations for staying on top of your work (and not neglecting yourself in the meantime)?
Currently going through this, so I completely understand where you're coming from. Here are some of my tips:
Prioritize sleep and make getting at 6-7 hours of rest a non-negotiable in your life
Walk as much as you can to get some movement in and fresh air
Focus on eating healthy meals at least 80% of the time. Take your vitamins every day if you need any
Give yourself at least 30 minutes in the morning before you need to get ready/get started with your day
Have a work cutoff time for yourself every night. Book some relaxation time into your schedule daily (especially before bed)
Find one or two simple routines that you really enjoy and can easily incorporate into your day (mine are a cup of coffee in the morning and a walk home/a shower with tea in the evening)
Reframe the idea/habit of rest and not neglecting your needs as a burnout prevention strategy not "being lazy"
Hope this helps xx

just wanna say i'm following this acc because of the cute ponies and tbh i'm not really interested in others' ocs, but this is YOUR account and you should post whatever you want. i always see in ur tags that u apologize for the lack of pony art but if you're proud of your ocs and wanna show them off then you have every right to. motley seems rlly cool and i hope you don't ever feel bad for posting/promoting it on your silly pony acc! sorry for the long ask i just think you deserve to know that even those of us who are here for the ponies still like ur other stuff and we like to see you talk abt it since ur clearly so passionate abt it :) thats all ok i love your art thank you bye
Honestly anon you are so right. I always feel the need to clarify stuff in the tags to show that I'm self aware, but in reality it sort of just points out the worst possible interpretation of things to people who otherwise wouldn't have even considered it that way. Tags like that honestly are pretty unnecessary in the grand scheme of things. Mom said it's MY ACCOUNT and I can post WHATEVER I want!!!!!!!!!!

10/19/24 Wt 191.4
I am obviously up many pounds. I assume mostly salt and extra carbs but I can't blame it on my period anymore.
I have been nursing a shoulder injury so I didn't go to JJ class today. I am going to have a long soak in an Epsom bath.
I am sad. I have been fighting it. I need to get focused.
I have about 4 chapters of text to read this weekend. I tried to sleep in as much as possible. I feel like I have missed most of the fall with sickness, injuries, or some malady.
But I feel like shit so I have been trying to go super easy on myself.
I feel as fat as I ever did. I know that isn't true. I just need to get back into a workout routine and to cut the extras out of my diet.
I have been reading The Binge Code still but going every slowly. I am re-reading The Dresden Files on audiobook, and that helps me get thru work ok, but I am fighting a bunch of library users that are obviously doing the same thing.
My gf is gone on vacation for the next week so I am going to try to relax and do as much schoolwork as I can.

I'M QUITTING MY 9 - 5 TO FOLLOW MY DREAMS
Hello my beautiful internet friends,
Tagging onto my sentiment from last week regarding following your dreams with complete reckless abandon and vigour, I thought I would follow on with the obvious next step (for me anyway).
I am quitting my job without a real concrete plan or a backup option to follow my dreams.
If you enjoy your job and it's the dream career pathway for you, this blog post is not meant for you. By all means keep reading of course, but I'm reaching out to my fellow dreamers who have fallen into careers that are not their callings - the people who are dreaming of something else entirely.
If I'm being completely honest I don't hate my job. But I don't love it either. It's most certainly not what I thought I would be doing at 30, and truly not the career stepping stone I imaged it would be when I was first offered the role two and a half years ago.
I'm a local news reporter in Melbourne, working for one of (if not the most popular) newspaper in the city. Day to day is very mundane, there isn't all that much jazz with local news.
While I dreamt of being a writer and Melbourne's answer to Carrie Bradshaw or Andie Anderson, my current job couldn't be further from that (I do feel Andie's pain when she wants to write something that matters and her editor is so limiting!!!!)
So last week after writing my post about committing to yourself, I was journalling and came to a realisation. In order to commit to myself, I need to fully commit to my dreams and aspirations, and to do that, I really need to quit my job.
Now thinking pragmatically because let me be one hundred percent honest, we are in a cost of living crisis and I'm not going to cold quit my job without a little bit of savings and backing to myself - I won't be leaving immediately. I think we can all agree that kind of rash decision making is for rich people who have no stress factors in their lives apart from happiness.
What I plan to do is a little but more strategic than that.
I've given myself three months to build up as thick of a foundation as possible, to get all my figurative ducks in a row and to make myself a plan for the following time frame that will constitute me following my dreams and actually succeeding. I'm trying to put my best foot forward to achieve exactly what I want and not need to take a step back into something that I'm not passionate about.
Sometimes I think people really hesitate to do the things they really want to do, whether it be because of the stories we tell ourselves in our minds, the stories society tell us about success and what it means to be fulfilled, or just because we think our dreams are out of touch from reality.
I don't want to be that person anymore. I don't want to be held back by these invisible, non-existent barriers that only stop me from reaching my full potential in life and happiness.
I have been working very hard to change the stories I tell myself in my mind, and after an incident at my current workplace (not with me, but with my colleague and management), I understood that my time at the company is coming to a close and I need to move on to something bigger and better; on to something that just in general, is a better fit for me.
I know that being self-employed is not a lifestyle everyone can achieve or that everyone wants - but I think it is the lifestyle change I want for myself, at least for now.
I obviously will keep writing this blog as a way to track how I'm going and to continue the development of my own writing.
But for now - I'm going to quit my job and follow my dreams. I definitely think it's something everyone should consider doing at least once in their lives (obviously make sure you're not going to send yourself into homelessness please, this message is not for every single person in this moment of time, prepare yourself!!).
Let's be the generation of people who don't take no for an answer - the generation of people who make things happen for ourselves and find the joy that we desire from doing the things we love and turning them into a profitable way to live!
These are my thoughts for the week, I know I'll be back next week with something just as crazy I'm sure, but for now, all the love in the world to whoever has made it this far down.
Love always,
G xx

120 Days of Glowing Up - Day 5
Tumblr media
I believe this is both a terrible way to start such a challenge but also a perfect lesson. I started on day 1 and forgot about this challenge until today... day 5.
I've been reading Atomic Habits and it has taught me to be gentler with myself and to let go of the expectation of constant perfection. I was tempted to delete my original post and start over, aiming for a flawless run. But I realised that if I allowed myself to reset every time I missed a day, I'd likely fall into a cycle—forgetting a day, deleting my progress, starting again, and repeating. I also don't want to contribute to the image of perfection of people online, I don't want to pretend to be someone I'm not, to make people think it is so easy to change, that they shouldn't be struggling because I'm not. Instead, I'm choosing to embrace the imperfections and stick with it.
If the goal is to be 1% better every day, I can certainly say I have been successful.
Goals
~ Journal every morning and night
~ Pull a tarot card most nights
~ Do my skincare routine everyday (includes my body)
~ Do Duolingo everyday
~ Reach 10,000 steps daily
~ Wake up at 8:30 at the latest
~ Drink 2L of water everyday
~ Read everyday
~ Make my bed every morning
4/11/2024
~ Journaled at night
~ Pulled a tarot card
~ Read some of my Fiction and Self Development books
~ Did a class on Duolingo
~ Did my skincare

how to change your life💌🎀🌷
I know there are about a billion things online about how to make your life better, but I believe this is the only thing you need.
find your base habit
your base habit is the one thing you do that leads to a chain reaction in your life. for example, working out leads to healthier eating as your body no longer craves junk food as much. working out + healthier eating leads to better sleep, which gives you more energy during the day, meaning you can be more productive and therefore have more free time.
this one habit, working out, has such a positive chain reaction, all of which benefit your life enormously.
however, the only way this will change your life is if you are self-disciplined enough to be consistent. self-discipline means that even when you don't have the motivation to work out, you do it anyway because it's a habit, and because you refuse to break a promise to yourself.
I hope this helps you! Feel free to message me if you want help figuring out your base habit! <3
