I'm genuinely tired of HB/HH/Vivziepop stans putting words into my mouth.

"You literally hate everything about the show"

Fyi, I didn't hate the premise. I also don't hate: 1) The animation; 2) The voice acting; 3) The potential the show had, and hopefully still has, since it will apparently have at least four seasons.

But ever since HB went from being about the misadventures of assassins in Hell, into a romance drama between two characters who are clearly toxic for each other, that's when I started hating the plot. The third point you made is true, I do hate the plot, and I will continue to do so, unless all this focus on an abusive gay ship (Stolitz) shifts back to what got me and a lot of other people into the show in the first place. And no, I'm not going to stop being vocal about it just because someone else told me to. You're on the internet buddy, learn to accept the fact that not everyone will have the same opinions as you.

And that's really NOT something to get worked up about.

And if you've come across my post by searching "blitzo" "moxxie" "millie" or "loona," all you had to do was read the very first sentence I wrote (having to do about my issues with the latest episode) and click off my post because clearly criticism of your beloved show triggers you. And no, I won't stop tagging the characters like this even if I have something negative to say about them. This perfectly explains as to why:

Which one? If you mean Blitzø, then no. I don't hate him. I literally said it in the tags.

But if you mean Stolas, then yeah, I hate him. So what?

If by most characters you mean Stolas, then yes, I do.

But uh... I don't hate any other character aside from maybe Loona? She's written so inconsistently. There's no real development when it comes to Loona. She acts like a huge bitch and a spoiled brat despite receiving love from her dad for five years straight. She is a grown ass woman who kicked Blitzø in the balls after telling Octavia that Stolas is "trying his best" when he clearly wasn't. She physically abused Blitzø just because he called her out RIGHTFULLY, remind me why she didn't beat the shit out of him again in the latest episode after Blitzø wanted her to overwork herself AND didn't pay her for a month?

Oh and there's also the time Loona cheered for Blitzø, tucked him in and called him dad. Why is she abusive towards him in the very next episode?

That's the inconsistency I'm talking about.

As for the other main characters:

I genuinely relate to Octavia. And I feel sorry for her. Enough said.

I don't care about Millie. It's too little too late for that.

I'm not sure how to feel about Moxxie. Where is his character arc even going? What is his character arc? Learning to stand up for himself for the millionth fucking time?

Stella is a wasted character whose only purpose is making Stolas seem "innocent." I hate what the writers did to her.

Also yes, I dislike Viv for reasons that are 100% valid and available to the public, so I'm not making stuff up.

This part of the recent Viv interview sums up pretty well why I hate the "Stolas will die" theory so much (besides not wanting to see my fave die).

It would make all his development and fighting for freedom and happiness feel so fucking pointless, like we just wasted our time with this character. It would literally fall under the "character who has suffered their entire life still can't find happiness because they died" trope and I'm sorry if I just can't be onboard for that.

(Not to mention it would also fall under the "character who has struggled with love his entire life still can't find it because his true love died" trope for Blitz.)

It makes total sense why the chances of a main cast character from HB dying are slim, because this is a character driven story first and foremost. And I honest to god can't think of a single reason why Stolas dying at any point in the story would be "for good reasons".

But HH is more plot driven, so the characters feel more "replacable" (except for maybe Charlie). As long as the hell vs heaven conflict keeps going, the show technically isn't derailed.. So yeah... chances of one of them dying are definitely bigger (just please don't touch my apple daddy, he deserves happiness after suffering in hell for 10 thousand years!)

Look, I can understand where people are coming from when they criticize the portryal of the female characters in Helluva Boss.

But extending that same criticism to Hazbin Hotel is where I draw the fucking line.

Hazbin literally has a female protagonist with her own independant goal, who has to work hard for it because people constantly belittle her ideas and beliefs, and eventually gets proven right when it works in the end. Charlie tried to do what was thought impossible, and accomplished it when Sir Pentious gets ascended to heaven. Her love interest has her own backstory before meeting Charlie, where she used to work for the same exorcists who are responsible for nearly driving Charlie's people to extinction and almost making her fail to redeem anyone at the hotel. Vaggie kept this a secret from Charlie since they met, and Charlie feels betrayed by Vaggie to the point of not feeling like she should trust her anymore until it gets resolved. Vaggie has more characterizarion in season 1 of Hazbin alone than Millie does in the entirety of Helluva Boss pre-Hell's Belle's.

Lute is one of the main antagonists. She contributed just as much to the genocide as Adam did, is openly bigoted like Adam, has more common sense than Adam, is the only exorcist with a name, is just as much of a threat to the hotel as Adam is and most of all she survives while he doesn't. Sera approved of the genocide, but felt guilty about it because Adam would've probably killed her or something, which Emily calls her out on regardless. Speaking of Emily, she joins Charlie in on calling heaven out for their hypocrisy and literally says she detests being treated like a child.

Velvette is no less evil than the other two Vees. She sells love potions (aka date rape drugs) and treats her employees cruelly just like they do. She also disrepected the other overlords without giving two shits. Carmilla wasn't having any of Velvette's BS, is protective of Zestial, literally killed an exorcist (despite angels being much more powerful than demons, so that's pretty impressive on it's own) to protect her daughters and figured out that Vaggie was a fallen angel just by knowing what her choice of weapon was. She encouraged Vaggie to fight for the whole hotel, not just for Charlie. Cherri Bomb has an interesting rivalry with Sir Pentious in the pilot that eventually grows into a healthy relationship, and she goes against Valentino just to help and comfort Angel Dust in the Addict music video. Sadly she doesn't do much after that, but at least she got to participate in fighting for the hotel in The Show Must Go On, so it's better than nothing I suppose.

Rosie is one of the few people who Alastor has a genuine friendship with. She played a big part in Charlie trying to give a speech to Cannibal Town, and encouraged her to trust Vaggie again. Mimzy, while I dislike her, is the whole reason why the plot of Dad Beat Dad even happened. She tried to use her friendship with Alastor to get herself out of trouble, so the episode techically wouldn't of happened without her. It's also telling that Alastor didn't eat her or try to kill her for screwing things up, since he's done just that to others for much less. Even Niffty, who's mostly just there for comic relief, is another character who Alastor gets along with. He may own her soul, but he's a lot nicer to her than he is to Husk, who he keeps on a chain and abuses in a not-so-different way that Valentino does to Angel Dust, only without SA involved. Niffty is also the one who kills Adam in the end, so there you go.

That's a BUNCH more than what can be said for most of the ladies in Helluva. (Most of whom I also like, but their writing really does leave something to be desired, though it does seem to be slightly improving with the Hell's Belles short and the promise of a Millie focused episode in Ghostfuckers.) For the record I don't think the writing for the female characters in HH is perfect by any means, but it's a far cry from being anywhere near as bad as HB like many antis claim it is. I think they just say that shit because HB takes place in the same universe as Hazbin and both shows were created by the same person, (aka the guilt by association fallacy) or they just think Vivzie can't do anything right no matter what she does.

The main reason I got into this show was for Alastor. 14 year old me thought he was pretty good and interesting.

I'm now 18 and Alastor is not Alastor. Alastor is the eccentric, talkative, sinister gentleman who does whatever he wants however he pleases because he knows he is the Radio Demon. In fact he's supposed to be the most powerful overlord in Hell, if he beat ancient overlords, why not Zestial? I don't get it.

In the show, he appears to be so weak because of the hierarchy being shown in the show more, but even he should still be very intimidating. I expected his final form to be nightmare fuel, like that one realistic image when he says "I would've done so already" but it's him getting bigger with tentacles? Come on, be serious. The Radio Demon was a disappointment. And therefore HH is a disappointment. So far. So I decided to watch the Angel Dust episode, not bad, but still had problems on its own. I watched the Heaven episode and everything else, and I was impressed at how shitty the writing was. Lucifer was a massive disappointment. Who is this pathetic sad emo boy? Where is the fucking KING OF HELL? Who is the hell is Roo? The fuck is going on here? Who wrote this? Of course it was Vivziepop.

HH thoughts before the finale

I think lute is the big bad of the series, SHE'S the one who killed vaggie and presented the dead body to adam as if she didn't do it and how they talked in the first episode implied that adam wasn't aware of the betrayal, I think lute is pushing the "they killed on of us" narrative to adam and he just assumes that she left to be in hell.

2. I think the reason why adam is so childish and is in heaven to begin with is because he didn't eat the apple, so he's basically to dumb to know right from wrong.

3. One of the mains dying isnt a garentee (yes I know I spelled it wrong shut up)

4.I think itd be really cool if we did the thing the fnaf fandom did when the movie came out and just make a bunch of bullshit fake spoilers and quotes from the movie lmao.

Who are your top 3 yandere characters right now

One thing I've learned is that I can latch on to certain characters for certain reasons depending on what I'm looking for emotionally so honestly my interest has been bouncing around a lot depending on just how my day has been going

To be honest I've been hella HELLA stressed so I've been going heavy on the escapism stuff. I still think of the Chocobros a lot so I would put them as number 1 without question. I've been recently thinking heavily on, like, if I were to sit down and start writing for them, what would it be and why. Most of my ideas involving them honestly just, have an embarrassing amount to do with American specific politics and culture so I don't know how digestible to everyone it would be but I guess the main theme is mostly just "wow Reader, where you came from is really shitty and horrible, stay with us, we think your environment is kind of making you a worse person" and situations revolving around that

Interrupting myself to add as a general thing, I need to remind myself that writing shorter stories is just fine, but for some reason I keep obsessing on emotional buildup and like, other things that are certainly nice to have, but not necessary. Been really considering writing several smaller stories with the goal of making them digestible but not horribly long as kind of. An exercise on restraint? Cause I'm kinda starting to wonder if my reluctance to write is partially mental illness-driven "make it perfect or don't make it at all" and like. That's so exhausting 🤦‍♀️

Number two would be. Hm. I would say still Valentino honestly 💀 im embarrassed by how bad I want hazbin hotel to come out so I can mindlessly consume whatever scraps of content of him will be in it. I'm feral. I'm hungry. I'm embracing my inner cringe. If you're into HH there's been a lot of buzz about the official Twitter posting redesigns for the show that animators have been saying are easier to animate and such, so, you know, more details for the show being released makes me hopeful for maybe a release later this year?

But nah with Val im mostly just having ideas of just awful downright fucknasty sex and also him just being horribly terribly jealous and possessive bc that's just. A big personal kink of mine as terribly unhealthy in an actual relationship it is. Also like. Four armed tall imposing monster is A Type for me ok. I have like. A thing for the possibilities brought on by four arms. Man when yall were ever kids too did you ever watch like Machamp from Pokemon or Ben 10 and think "hope this doesn't awaken something in me" because--

As for number three. Hm. There are honestly several different ideas that have been floating around for me. Being exhausted by my retail job reminded me of Nanami and his "fighting curses is no worse than working a regular job" and you know what? king shit. Man's right as rain. Been thinking about something with him and a reader with a similar mindset where he eventually realizes "oh wait, we harness negative emotions to fight curses, I wonder if Reader is potentially Digging Too Deep and possibly feeding into potential mental illness problems" which then leads into "well fuck guess I better take responsibility and start taking care of them"

I've also been having a few thoughts for Volo who is, you know, obsessed with knowledge and such and would definitely have a lot to learn from a Reader from the future, and also like, there's that whole thing where, he did technically, you know, physically threaten us actually. Like, you know what, im digging up his actual words:

"Not that you have a choice. Even if you don't wish to battle, I'm not above using force to take those plates from you."

So yeah, look at it from this perspective. If you consider Reader as, well, us and our player character, and we, or some of us, are technically people who have had "all sorts of pokemon adventures" as in when we've beaten such and such games and watched such and such movies. Imagine Volo hearing all of these crazy stories and tales and also seeing Reader's talent as a trainer and adventurous heart and just kind of like, becoming near zealot-like obsessed because Reader has Literally Met God Several Times, traveled through time, found lost underwater kingdoms, met pokemon from space, ones that granted wishes, so on, so on, and well... maybe he decides Reader is also some sort of divine figure for him to behold and revere and serve oh so diligently, never to part with. That Reader is such a magnet for the amazing and the unknown that he should keep you alongside him when he remakes the world and all that

Anyways long answer is long but anyways yeah I've got a lot of characters taking up space in my head and my heart and my pants and maybe I'll write something soon, who knows

I don't know if you do "fix it" but how about instead of that your ideas of changing small stuff in the volume to make it a better more cohesive story?

I find “fix it” people to also be pretty obnoxious. I don’t want to look at the story and be like “This is how it should’ve gone and it’s better than this trash”, it’s more like “How do making these changes help the narrative and story flow”.

The biggest problem is that if we were to look at this volume alone, we’d have a very hard time because we’d be working from a broken base. Many of the problems come from previous volumes, and previous character decisions. 

We can’t have Blake take a lead in the Faunus Rights when she’s the most privileged of them all, and those that have actually suffered are either gone or dead. We can’t address the character bloat when characters that are the problem have been introduced in previous volumes, like Maria, or just don’t add anything but are stuck with the main cast, like JNR. We can’t make interesting villains with Adam dead and Cinder’s character having been ran through the shredder since Volume 5. Oscar’s character is fucked since they took his time for self-reflection away last volume for being sad that Pyrrha died. 

But to at least try and make this volume not so bad with these drawbacks is, most importantly, take away characters that ultimately don’t matter. One of the biggest victims of this is Penny. For all the time spent on her this volume, nothing was really expanded on. She’s not important to the plot in the long run. Ruby could’ve finally had an arc with Pietro about accepting that her best friend was gone but she wouldn’t be forgotten, Marrow or Blake could’ve been framed because they’re working for Ironwood and are both Faunus, Winter keeps her arc of making her destiny her own rather than rolling over and accepting all of it, and nothing important changes.

Robyn and the Happy Huntresses? They’re gone. They don’t do anything, and when they do it’s an active detriment to the story. Ironwood already had an established problem in Jacques, RWBY didn’t trust Ironwood for reasons outside the HH and Robyn, the frameup did nothing since it was quickly resolved, and the stealing of supplies went nowhere. 

As much as I like the Ace Ops, they were handled very poorly. We have them to drive home how special RWBY is because they’re friends, and then are beaten in a fight that was such bullshit that it angered me towards RWBY rather than seeing them having gotten stronger. It feels like an ass pull. We don’t know anything about them really, and honestly the only ones that have a shred of reason to be in the story are Clover and Marrow. And Clover is there because he has to be Qrow’s foil and then die.

Maria is gone. She wasn’t needed in Volume 6 and she’s not needed here.

With the reduced cast, we now have less things cluttering the plot. We no longer have to develop Penny more because she’s not there, we no longer need to waste time on the stupid election plot because Robyn doesn’t exist, and we no longer have to give time to the Ace Ops only to have RWBY kick their ass a couple of episodes later.  That time can now be given to Weiss and the Schnees, including how they work together to overthrow Jacques and take back their name.

Another thing, and I know that it was dropped because CRWBY can’t write racism to save their life, is that I wouldn’t drop the White Fang when the cast is now in the most racist kingdom of Remnant. Show us the racism, have people not be afraid to use actual slurs rather than the tame “stupid Faunus”, stop having Blake act meekly when people are racist to her and have Weiss come in to save her, it’s so tone deaf and it hurts me. Another thing with Blake is to have her actually be interested in helping her people rather than being attached to Yang all Volume. Have her go to the rally with Weiss because it’s Jacques running, have Yang and Ruby actually relax together as siblings.

A big, big thing I would change is the stupid idea that Ruby is better than Ozpin for keeping secrets. There’s no difference between her lying to Ironwood, Winter and the Ace Ops and Ozpin lying to RWBY. Have her struggle with the moral grayness of her decision, have it challenge her previously naive viewpoint of the world. Maybe sometimes it’s best to withhold something until you’re sure, maybe that’s why Ozpin felt that he couldn’t tell RWBY about Salem. 

It’s the hypocrisy and entitlement of RWBY that made this Volume so unbearable. Even when they’re called out on it, the narrative ends up proving them right by throwing Ironwood’s character out the window and making him a child-shooting murderer. 

That’s the major things I can think of. There’s probably smaller issues I’d tweak, but that’s it for now.

1. Loki was very much out of character in the show. Not only did he barely match Loki in appearance (it was just Hiddles with a dye job), he took a level in stupid and made glaring mistakes in the show that he never would have in the movies--getting drunk in the middle of a mission and drawing attention to himself when stealth was required for instance, which is decidedly NOT the cool, calculating character we first met in Thor 1.

His powers were nerfed even more than they already are in the MCU. There were scenes in which he forgot he wielded magic. He was easily beaten up by human rednecks and easily subdued by B13. He needed Sylvie to even so much as blast at enemies with magic. He doesn't know how to enchant and needed Sylvie's help doing that? Since when? What do you call what he was doing with Eric Selvig in the post credits scene of Thor 1 then?

As pointed out even the way he talked was different. Gone was the smooth, velvety, Shakespeare to be replaced by Earth slang and contractions.

He was turned into a clown, with his reactions to things being outrageously exaggerated complete with slapstick. He let people walk all over him and treat him in ways he never even let Thor get away with. Everything seemed to be designed to humiliate, degrade, and constantly remind him of how awful he was. Not to mention complete invalidation of his past trauma and characters telling him to Shut Up every time he dared to speak his mind.

2. He was sidelined in his own show. Take him out, it would have been the same plot. The show might as well have been called Sylvie and the TVA.

3. He was not just a villain in the movies. He committed many heroic acts in the first two Thor movies. Marvel confirmed long ago that he was being influenced by the Mind Stone in Avengers.

4. Ok, you like the show. Good for you. But you need to accept that not everyone is going to like the things you like. I love Hazbin Hotel. There are a lot of people, however, who hate it, some of whom I follow. Now, have I ever once gone on a post bashing HH telling its haters how wrong they are for hating the thing I like? No. I don't. Do I try to change their minds? No. I don't. Why? Because I am secure enough in my love of the show not to go around and try to recruit plus I know one person's Yum is another person's Yuck...amazing the things you puck up from practicing kink.

But you know the main reason I don't bug random strangers who make posts bashing on the show? Because they aren't going to give a shit about my opinion, just as I dont give a shit about theirs. Just like we don't give a shit about yours.

Seriously if you like the show and just cannot endure seeing people talk bad about it, guess what? The block button is right there. Click it and grow the fuck up. The loki show was good so I disagree with you. He wasn't out of character it's called character growth, as much as I loved him in movies he was still a villan and he became the anti hero who grown so much in the series. Character growth doesn’t mean total personality change. I didn’t like the show since the start of the first episode. He acts like a total different person. He’s overly goofy and expressive in the show and in the movies, he is more reserved and probably smarter. A lot of the mistakes he does in the show, he wouldn’t have done in the movies. Except for Ragnarok but he was on drugs or something in that movie and even in that, he was much more calculating and smarter than the show’s version of himself. Also the whole thing in the show where the joke is that Loki loves to talk isn’t true and I don’t even know why it was in the show to begin with. There’s a lot of stuff in the show where it’s just trying to be funny and serves no purpose because it just makes Loki look like an idiot. This might be just a season one thing tho, idk. I didn’t watch season 2 yet. He also speaks different in the show. I don’t know how to explain it but he is more casual like and it really weirded me out a little bit. He sounds less educated if that makes sense. There’s also this background thing going on that apparently he was with many people. “A little bit of both” he says when asked about his love life but that doesn’t really make much sense when in the first movie he was treated like an outcast due to his weaknesses and what not. This might be just me nit picking but that’s just my opinion. There’s probably many other things I dislike about the show but I can’t really think of much right now except the ones I listed and this post would be way too long if I wrote more. There’s nothing wrong with liking the show, it’s just personally not my cup of tea especially when I got fixated on the movie version of him so when the show came out I had high expectations. So it’s really my mistake.
