What Is the Best Diet for High-Intensity Sports?
High-intensity sports, like sprinting, weightlifting, and interval training, demand not just peak physical performance but also precise nutritional strategies to fuel the body adequately. Knowing what is the best diet for high-intensity sports can make a significant difference in performance, recovery, and overall athletic longevity. Athletes engaged in these sports need a well-rounded diet that…

Framing fitness around vanity, instead of function, is possibly one of the most disastrous things the diet industry has done.
The icon of fitness shouldn't be a bathing suit model with chiseled abs. It should be a parent with enough stamina to carry their kid to bed.
It should be a busy nurse who figured out an effective sleep hygiene & nap schedule to stay efficient at work.
It should be a warehouse worker who has a good warm up and stretching routine to protect their body while they're carrying stuff all day.
Fitness is about FUNCTION, not appearance.

it’s wild to me the way a lot of skinny people think weight works like they really genuinely believe that fat people could only be the size they are and continue to exist at that size because they eat “too much” and exercise “too little” and that losing weight is a straight forward process.
like, i started a job last spring that meant i went from getting very little physical activity to typically walking 5-7 miles a day on uneven terrain, carrying shit. My eating habits have remained more or less consistent.
I have not lost weight. My proportions have remained more or less the same. My clothes fit me about the same. I think any fat person would not find this particularly surprising but isn’t calories in calories out the gospel people constantly preach? you’d think dramatically and consistently increasing my physical activity would accomplish this but it obviously didn’t. I am not complaining, changing the size or shape of my body is not a goal of mine, but it’s notable that the actions the medical institutions endorse as ways to achieve that sure don’t actually work.
but while my body has not visibly changed, it’s definitely been great for my health! my mood and energy are significantly better. My resting heart rate dropped by ~10 bpm. I have stronger legs and better stamina. But I do not think anyone would look at me and think of me as someone who lives an “active lifestyle” despite the fact that i do. it’s amazing and depressing to me how many people have bought into the complete lie that you can judge health from appearances and the myth that fat people just lack discipline or someshit

Hello, I would like to ask you a question that has been interesting to me for a long time, but I am afraid that it may somehow offend you, so I apologize. I understand if you do not want to discuss such things.
May you please tell me a little about the side effects of the transition?
So, the downsides of medical transition? Sure, I can name a few things. But a lot of "side effects" people warn you about are really just "be sure you're prepared to be more physiologically like a cis man -- you can't pick and choose what effects you get, but you can predict some of them based on genetics."
(Transphobes like to make this sound scary, like you're damaging your body. But it's like... OK, a receding hairline? Yeah, no shit that's gonna happen. Happens to most dudes. Jokes on you, a lot of people are into that. And I can take some finesteride to slow it down, so stop using visual shorthand for masculinity to scare me away from masculinity.)
That said, be sure you're prepared for changes to:
How you gain muscle & fat
Your libido
Your hair growth patterns
How you express (and possibly even feel) emotions
Your voice
Your genitals
Your risk factors for certain health conditions. Some will improve, some will get worse. Me, I have to keep an eye on my congenital heart issue.
That said, the only real "side effects" that I feel are unique to being trans and/or me are:
Vaginal dryness. There's creams for that, so, completely manageable.
You of course need to be aware of your liver health, since you're on a major medication. But it's your doc's job to check your levels and adjust accordingly. I have had no issues.
My ADHD and memory maybe got a bit worse? But they are both stable now.
If I miss a shot, I get irritable (T makes me a much calmer person)
That's really it for me.
I've had top surgery and the only side effect there was that I rejected some sutures (first time that has happened) and thus got a gnarly scar, but that can happen with any surgery.
Other folks are welcome to chime in. Again, I think it's important to distinguish between "side effect" and "this is a new-to-you thing to deal with that is common for cis men."

Silly question....
Say if Nathan Ciro is transported into Harry's body after Voldemort Avadas him in DH..... and of course Harry ends up 8n his body...
How would that turn out ?
How would Nathan navigate his new identity and relationships? Who would he end up with ?
I don't think Nathan would cope very well being in Harry's shoes at all. This is a boy who was at the end of his rope both mentally and emotionally - and his last memories are of a horrific violation.
Suddenly waking up in someone else's body, embroiled in a horrible war in a time he has no concept of, surrounded by people he doesn't know but who all seem to want a piece of him?
Yeah...no. I don't see him dealing with it well at all.
I suppose the only way it could possibly work out for him would be if ybtm was a more traditional time travel, and Harry actually went back, successfully avoided detection, and lived his life as Nathan up until the Battle of Hogwarts. He'd only just be brushing his 70s, which is pretty young for a wizard still.
I could see an older 'Nathan Ciro' absolutely bursting onto the scene just as Harry's body hits the forest floor and whisking him away.
Everyone is confused - Voldemort is confused. It's chaos and no one knows who that old dude was nor what he wanted with Potter's body but you can bet that Voldemort wasn't going to let that stand. He saw the curse hit Harry but the killing curse didn't stick the last time so he has to be sure.
Queue the Death Eaters trying to hunt down this random old dude body-snatcher, and Voldemort eventually figuring out that this was an old school mate of his who - last he heard - had tried to take his own life when they were in their fourth or fifth year.
'Nathan Ciro' never returned to Hogwarts after he woke from his accident, so Tom Riddle never paid him much thought.
But now he's playing catch-up, and the more he delves into what 'Nathan Ciro' has been up to in the past six decades, the more bewildered he grows because how the hell did he ever miss how insanely competent this guy was?
Meanwhile Nathan wakes up in a body that's not his own, and the first thing he sees is an older version of himself staring back at him.

As long as you aren't injuring or otherwise harming yourself, there is literally no wrong way to exercise. If structured routines feel like torture to you, but you want to move your body, please remember that you've got a lot of options.
Instead of one long routine, you could try doing short, little "exercise snacks" where you do one quick set of one exercise, randomly throughout your day/week/month. Just whenever you have a quick minute and are in the mood to move.
And this doesn't have to look like doing planks or squats or whatever. It can of course! But it could also look like taking a dance break and dancing for the length of one song. It could look like doing a thirty second jog in place when you feel yourself getting too restless. It could look like holding a yoga pose for thirty seconds.
Your body will benefit from appropriate movement even if it's sporadically spread out. You do not have to dedicate large chunks of time before the exercises "counts." Everything counts.
