💜find your natural glow💜
❥how can you help yourself to rediscover your light? Unleash your natural beauty inside out
1. Everything starts inside.
You eat crappy food, have a messed up sleep schedule, don’t move and stay in your dark room all day? And you have the audacity to complain?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
❥your life’s worth lays in your hands.
~find a healthy diet that suits you and fits into your daily life. Don’t label food into bad or good. Just know what you should eat occasionally and what to eat daily (and what amount). Control your portions.
~go to bed early. Get up early. Getting up before 6 and going to bed before 9/10 is a game changer. Woman need more sleep, so make sure to fulfill those needs.
~get some kind of movement in. Whatever it is. Just move. You’ll feel lighter in every way possible.
(Walking, Running, Pilates, swimming, weight lifting, cleaning your place, anything)
~a book is usually better than your phone.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
2. Care and share
❥Haircare
~Oil your scalp with different oils (Castor, Rosemary, coconut, jojoba), heat it up a little and massage it into your roots and the rest for the lengths. Let it sit for some time and wash out properly.
~Use a fitting shampoo (hydrating, cleaning, etc) and use conditioner and hairmasks regularly.
~also, don’t dye your hair any crazy colour. Your natural haircolour is mostly perfectly fitting. Just take care
❥Makeup
Why am I seeing so many girls walk around with bronzer covering every inch of their face? Since when is a blush supposed to be that thickly applied?
~use a mirror. It does not look good.
Your natural beauty does not deserve to be suffocated
~the more natural the better. Apply makeup the way it FITS you and doesn’t bury your skin in products
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
~love you

body hair removal, girl advice
removing body hair is a personal choice and varies from person to person. some girls choose to remove body hair for comfort, aesthetics, cultural reasons, or personal preference. it's important to understand that there's no right or wrong decision when it comes to body hair—it's all about what makes you feel confident and comfortable in your own skin.
however, if you do decide to remove body hair, it’s essential to do it properly to avoid skin irritation, ingrown hairs, and other potential issues. proper hair removal techniques can help maintain the health and appearance of your skin, ensuring it stays smooth and free from unnecessary discomfort.
general tips:
exfoliate regularly: this helps prevent ingrown hairs and keeps your skin smooth.
moisturize: after hair removal, use a gentle moisturizer to soothe your skin and reduce irritation.
wear loose clothing: after hair removal, wear loose, breathable clothing to prevent irritation and let your skin breathe.
why proper hair removal matters:
prevents skin damage: following proper techniques reduces the risk of cuts, burns, and skin irritation.
reduces ingrown hairs: correct methods can help prevent hairs from growing back into the skin, which can be painful and unsightly.
maintains skin health: proper hair removal can help keep your skin looking and feeling healthy, smooth, and soft.
methods of hair removal:
shaving:
tips: use a clean, sharp razor and shave in the direction of hair growth to reduce irritation. use a shaving cream or gel to protect your skin and provide a smoother glide.
why it's important: improper shaving can lead to cuts, razor burns, and ingrown hairs.
waxing:
tips: apply wax in the direction of hair growth and pull it off in the opposite direction. ensure the skin is clean and dry before waxing.
why it's important: improper waxing can cause bruises, skin irritation, and even tear the skin.
depilatory creams:
tips: test the cream on a small patch of skin first to check for any allergic reactions. follow the instructions on the product carefully.
why it's important: leaving the cream on for too long or using it on sensitive areas can cause chemical burns or skin irritation.
epilators:
tips: start with a lower speed setting if you're new to using epilators. exfoliate your skin beforehand to prevent ingrown hairs.
why it's important: using an epilator incorrectly can lead to pain, skin irritation, and ingrown hairs.
laser hair removal:
tips: it's best done by a professional. if using at-home devices, follow the instructions carefully and avoid sun exposure before and after the treatment.
why it's important: improper use can cause burns, pigmentation issues, and ineffective hair removal.
i hope this was helpful! ❤️nene

Hair care routine ‧₊˚✩彡
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Use hair oil a few hours before you shower for growth and thickness → rosemary oil to nourish and strengthen the hair & castor oil for hair growth
Use heat protection spray/oil BEFORE blow drying to prevent breakage and split ends
Blow dry your hair - air drying can lead to your hair getting greasy faster
Hair oil / leave in conditioner - it gives you shiny hair and helps if your hair is frizzy after blow drying
Additional Tips:
If your hair gets frizzy after brushing it, use a wide tooth comb instead of a hairbrush
Sleep on a silk pillowcase and put your hair in braids or a silk bonnet

TAKING CARE OF BLACK HAIR
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This post is dedicated to all of my black beauties, who may be struggling in haircare. No way am I an expert, but these are tips that worked for me.
DAILY
Spray water on your hair + drink a lot of water to keep it hydrated. It helps with detangling and promotes softer hair.
Use a daily hair moisturizer. This can be hair food, oil, or a leave-in conditioner, but something that can moisturise your hair every day.
Sleep on a silk bonnet or a silk pillow to prevent tangles and knots in your hair.
Apply styling products in layers. Too many products can cause grease or ‘crunchy’ hair.
WASH DAY
Wash your hair once a week. You want to avoid product buildup, as that is drying your hair. If possible, apply thick oils or gels every other day instead of every day (most spray or thinner oils/gels are fine for daily use).
Detangle before you wash your hair. I like to completely wet my hair before detangling, so it’s much easier and avoids breakage. Or, you can buy a detangling spray that aids you. Try to use your fingers instead of a comb, as it is much gentler.
When shampooing, avoid foaming shampoos as they can dry out your hair. Look for shampoos that don’t have any harsh chemicals as well.
Deep condition your hair instead of just rinsing it. You can buy one or you can make your own. What I do is, I separate my hair into sections and then put conditioner onto each one. Then I put on a shower cap and let it stay for 15-30 minutes. Extensive deep conditioning can weaken your hair.
Use an old shirt or a microfiber towel to squeeze excess moisture and water from your hair. Using a towel can cause frizziness and breakage + avoid drying your hair using a blow dryer.
PROTECTIVE HAIRSTYLES
Try not to leave in protective hairstyles for too long. A month is the best time frame, but 3 months is the absolute maximum!
When taking out protective hairstyles, let your hair breathe. A minimum of two weeks of natural hair is ideal. This allows you to take care of your strands as well.
During protective hairstyles, remember to shampoo weekly to avoid dandruff buildup + use moistures!
If needed after a hairstyle, trim your hair. Some ends cannot be saved.

•°•Hot Girl Tips•°•
Hydrogen peroxide removes period stains
Rubbing alcohol and/or hand sanitizer removes nail polish
The amount of water you need to drink= your weight÷2, then that number÷8 so for example 100÷2=50÷8=6.25 so if you weigh 100 pounds you would need at least six 8oz glasses of water per day
Sugar wax>>> here's a recipe: 1 cup of white sugar, 1/4 cup of water, 1/4 cup of lemon juice (lime works too) combine the ingredients in a saucepan and let them boil until golden brown. The easiest way to test the wax is to have a small bowl of ice water and drop a little bit of the wax into it. When the wax is ready, you'll be able to roll it into a soft ball and it will keep its shape. When this consistency is reached, put it in a glass jar (make sure the jar isn't cold otherwise it will crack) and let it cool off for at least an hour. Once cool, apply it in the opposite direction of hair growth and wax awayyyy
Diy cuticle oil: olive oil and vitamin E oil. You could add a drop or two of essential oil if you want. The amount of oil you need depends on your container so for mine it was a tablespoon of olive oil and 1 teaspoon of vitamin E.
Diy dry shampoo: 3 parts cornstarch and 1 part baking soda.
Healthy drink to ease bloating and get in your vitamins and minerals: 1/2 cucumber, a few sticks of celery, kale or another dark green of your choice, lemon juice, turmeric (a little goes a long way) and ginger. Fresh is best but any ginger you have will work. Fill the blender to the max line with water, and blend until liquid. You can strain it if you want, but you don't have to. It doesn't taste great, but in the long run it is worth ittt
Smelling good is such a wonderful thing for so many reasons. First, pick a scent. Or at the very least a top 3 like I have: vanilla, Dior Blooming Bouquet, and Sol De Janeiro '68. I also use the classic scent from Soap and Glory (rose and bergamot). The first and most important thing is to find a good deodorant. Which one works for you depends on your body chemistry, but dove is always a safe bet :). Next, find a good shower routine. Having all of your shower products smell similar will keep the scent lasting longer. And, of course, shower at least every other day. Washing your hair is different bc your hair washing routine depends on your hair type. And of course you must find a body lotion that matches your other shower products.
Last and final tip for today: keep your nails and hands healthy and pretty by moisturizing your hands with hand cream. I like this one by Burts bees, this one from Eucerin, and this one from Dior (pricey I know but it's w o r t h itt).
That's it! Tysm
