How to get long healthy shiny hair in 2024 🎀
Tumblr media
HAIR OILING: It is recommended that you oil your hair at least once or twice in a week. The benefits from oiling your hair are endless, from strengthening and lengthening your hair to preventing dandruff, lice, hair breakage and so much more. But remember that you should not go overboard as too much of everything is not good! Finding the suitable one depending on your hair type is essential for getting the best results!
SHOWER ROUTINE: It is very important to find the right shampoo for your hair type that gently cleanses and removes all that heavy buildup of products you apply in your hair, that doesn’t damage and dry it out, which is what a Clarifying shampoo does. But remember to check what hair type it is for as some shampoos aren’t suitable for all hair types. After shampoo is when you should use a hair mask, as it is advised to be used before conditioning since using a hair mask injects moisture into the hair and conditioner locks it in! A lot of people think that you just use conditioner from that same brand of shampoo and hair mask, but the real truth is that it is best to use the best conditioner you find works well enough for your hair.
AFTER SHOWER ROUTINE: Use a microfiber towel after showering! Not only does it dry your hair faster, but it’s much softer and gentle while doing no damage to your hair. If you plan on blow drying your hair, remember to let your hair air dry about 80-90% before blow drying. And you must use heat protectant for your hair! And wether you’re blow drying your hair or not, find the best hair serum and apply (can be used before and after styling) it firstly to your ends and then apply the leftover serum on your palm on your roots to prevent your roots from looking greasy. Always remember a little goes a long way with hair serums.
Thank you for reading and I hope you find this beneficial! Let me know if you have any questions <3

The Correct Order To Take An Everything Shower🧖‍♀️
Dry Brushing: Before getting into the shower, use a dry brush to gently exfoliate your skin. Start at your feet and work your way upward using long, sweeping motions toward your heart.
Pre-Shower Hair Treatment : Start by gently detangling your hair by using a detangling brush then applying hair oil to your scalp and massaging it in using your fingertips. This can help nourish your scalp and promote healthy hair growth. Leave the oil on while you proceed with the next steps.
Waxing or epilating (if you shave instead skip this): Before wetting your body, perform waxing or epilating to remove unwanted hair.
Shampo: Using both a regular shampoo and a detox shampoo in the same hair wash session is generally not necessary and might be too harsh for your hair and scalp. It’s better to alternate between the two types of shampoos based on your needs. Use a regular shampoo for your routine cleansing and maintenance, use a detox shampoo occasionally (once a week or as needed) to deeply cleanse and remove buildup.
Hair Mask: Hair masks are typically more concentrated than conditioners and provide deeper conditioning and repair. They are great for addressing specific concerns like damage, frizz, or dryness. Use them once a week or as recommended on the product. (or just use a conditioner)
Face: while the hair mask sits, cleanse your face using a facial cleanser for your skin type
Body: Rinse out the hair mask, and wash your body with soap or shower gel or both!
Exfoliate : use a gentle scrub or exfoliating mitt to exfoliate your skin
Shave( if you shave) : Shave legs, underarms, and other areas
Final rinse: take a final rinse to ensure you’re completely clean
Skincare routine: do your regular skincare routine and then apply lotion all over your body ( you can add bio oil before the lotion for stretch marks)
Gua Sha: use Gua Sha tools to massage your face and body to stimulate blood flow, promote lymphatic drainage, and release tension in the muscles
Nailcare: cleanse and remove previous nail polish and then trim and file your nails and then paint them💅 ( if you’re doing this at a salon then leave it till the end)
Haircare: Use whatever your hair needs depending on your hair type but don’t forget to use a heat protectant and a leave in before drying and a hair oil or serum after ( you can style it if you still have energy to do so)
Relax💆‍♀️: light up a candle, cook(or order) something delicious, watch a good movie or series (or read a book) and relax in a comfortable place you deserve it💗💗

@katkastrofa: *writes a single throwaway line in one chapter of Lost and Found that is never referenced again*
Tumblr media
Me, completely randomly and with no prompting: Alright, bet–
Tumblr media
#my art#artists on tumblr#the legend of korra#original characters#as if I don’t have enough of those already#I really don’t know what possessed me here. I mean. sometimes my mind did drift to this mention of Zaheer’s sisters#because broken bonds is my absolute favourite LaF chapter. but I ever really thought of them that much since Kat never brought them up agai#and then about 24h ago I randomly remembered them again and was like. hey. p’li and ghazan’s sisters play a huge role in our stories#and ming-hua is an only child. so what of zaheer’s sisters? what are they like? do they ever cross his mind? are they aware of his crimes?#and in the afternoon I went digging through my art supplies bc I felt like painting and found my old 2020-2022 sketchbook with 2 empty page#so I thought. why not. it’s been a while since I’ve done traditional art. so I pulled up a reference of rich EK outfits from the artbooks#and got to work. drew this up in about half an hour? traditional sketching is a lot faster than digital for some reason#then took a picture and cleaned up and coloured in procreate. and I’m really happy with the end result#this was hella fun to do as well so.. win-win?#alright enough backstory rambling. on to the characters themselves#I looked up Zaheer’s name and apparently that particular spelling is urdu in origin. so I went off that#the article I found was written edited and fact checked by three pakistani women so I think it’s about as trustworthy as these things go#summiya means ‘a woman of proper name’ and aiza means ‘respected high place in society’. which I thought were fitting for noble girls#for outfits and hairstyles. like I said. I turned to the avatar artbooks. those things are life savers. I just played around with colours#looks wise I colour picked from zaheer and then shifted around a little so they look similar enough yet not like clones of each other#but they’re also teenagers here so they wouldn’t resemble book 3 Zaheer much anyway#kat never mentioned ages but since their mother was looking for matches I assumed they were older than zaheer#he ran off at 11 or 12 iirc. so I decided they would have been 16 and 14 respectively#though in their community matches are probably made much earlier than actual marrying age. still.#if it was such a pressing matter that their mother was ‘preoccupied’ with it. then they were probably teenagers right#that’s what I’m gonna go for anyway since currently I have no information to disprove any of this#oh yeah Kat btw if you did have images of Zaheer’s sisters in mind before this then you don’t have to replace them. I just filled a blank#we’ve never talked about them so I assume there’s nothing. feel free to correct me. maybe someday we’ll discuss their personalities/lives#all I have is that they probably weren’t too close with zaheer. and their lives now are all about husbands kids and status. but we’ll see#hope you like them anyways <3

Good Girls Guide To: Clean Girl Aesthetic
If you spend any amount of time on social media, you’ve probably seen the clean girl aesthetic. here are my tips and tricks on how to master the appearance part.
Tumblr media
Appearance
Appearance is a huge part of the clean girl aesthetic. From hairstyles to shoes, the way you look is a big part of the aesthetic.
1. Hair
Hair is the ultimate way to tie a look together and the clean girl aesthetic is all about looking and feeling together.
- Claw Clips: Claw clips are a cute and effective way to keep your hair up and out of your face. Make sure to find a claw clip suitable for your hair type!
- Slick Back Hairstyles: Slick back hairstyles are clean and efficient. They may not be easy but in the end its worth it. Slick back hairstyles are also good if your hair is greasy and you need to get to wash day.
- Blowouts: Blowouts are a clean girl staple. Tiktok and YouTube have plenty of tutorials with affordable products if you don’t have the money to buy something like a Dyson Airwrap. There are simple ways to do heatless blowouts which are even cheaper.
- Shampoo and Conditioner: Shampoo and conditioner really depend on hair type but clean girls use brands like oaui and olaplex. If those companies don’t offer good products for your hair type or don’t work well for you, use another brand but make sure they have a clean smell. I personally like almond and shea butter scents but vanilla, mint, etc. are also amazing!
- Hair oils: I’ve only used a few hair oils like olaplex no°7 and I love it. Hair oils protect your hair from drying out and some have heat protectant. They can also promote hair growth, prevents frizz, and are UV protective.
- Additional Products: Leave in conditioner, scalp scrubs, hair masks, etc. There are plenty of products that help with the health of your hair. If you need recommendations lmk!
2. Skincare
Having a steady skincare routine is a large part of being a clean girl. Also, who doesn’t love clear skin?
- Face Washing: If you do any part of your skincare routine, have it be this. Washing your face, especially at night, is important to wash away the extra makeup, dirt, etc. that could be left from the day. I use the CeraVe cream to foam cleanser and I think it works great.
- Toner: Toner helps wash away the dirt that maybe your cleanser didn’t get. I adore The Ordinary Milky Toner.
- Serums: Depending on what your serum is made for is what it helps with. Niacinimide specializes in reducing things like acne and hyperpigmentation in your skin. Hyalauronic acid helps with things like aging and skin wrinkles.
- Moisturizer: Moisturizer is the second most important step besides cleansing. I use the CeraVe moisturizer and love it!
- Extra steps: Eye creams, face masks, acne care are also important. These products and more mainly depend on your skin type so make sure to buy accordingly.
3. Clothing
Clothing is arguably the most important part of the clean girl aesthetic. Here are some closet staples to truly capture the clean girl essence!
- Basic Tees: Basic tees are essential to any good outfit and are great for layering. Some that I recommend are Skims but other brands have great dupes such as Amazon.
- Jeans: Anytime you see a clean girl, chances are they’re wearing jeans. In my opinion, light wash, wide leg jeans are the best. Some great brands are American Eagle and Pacsun.
- Matching Sets: Matching sets are great for looking put together as well as being comfortable. Some sets that I love are Comfrt and The Happy Camp3r
Now that you have some of the basics down, I think you’re ready. I might make a part two with other things such as jewelry and makeup.

I appreciate and respect that my hair forms into little bundles on the floor so I can at least pick them up without having to sweep. I salute you, fallen soldier🫡
