out of context can i talk about fugidove for a second. i love how we're introduced to a character that thinks they're a big bad villain, and instead are just unknown and he's kinda disappointed but still continues like he had actually done something bad. i also love how he's designed to be a literal bird and i wholeheartedly think he might be autistic and have a special interest in doves and pigeons in general and also with villains & criminals. he's using the coos as a vocal stim and the ""wing"" flapping as a stim to regulate himself bc the feathers are overstimulating him same with the mask sometimes and he knows enough about the villains in kryptarium to info dump to others. :3 (i also think he might get exploited at some point due to the info dumping whether that would be by other villains, the police or the ninja (possibly ronin as well?))

i also love how he has an unnamed brother who's supportive of him (at least what i gathered of the first interaction in prime empire when he got his screen time) and his life decisions literally quoting his coos to PIXAL and Zane lol. also going to Ronin they would make a hilarious duo (and do) and that's based on like three time interactions they had.

However i'm still quite curious over Fugidove's & his brother's backstory and what they're lives were like ebofrehand. i read that it was suspected he doesn't have a good relationship with his mother from the wiki? also he was originally supposed to be an owl which makes it hilarious to me that he ended up being a dove. (going from a powerful avian predators to a domesticated yet hate-loved swarming city birds that are both really really pretty birds.)

Beyond the Surface of Suo and Sakura’s relationship

**MANGA SPOILER WARNING**

This is my first post on this website, apologies if theres anything incoherent here. This post is also very simplified and lacks some information as I wanted to keep it as concise as possible. If you would like a full-blown analysis about their relationship, do let me know. I may consider making a complete writeup.

Contrary to popular belief about their “lack of interactions”, Suo and Sakura share many important and pivotal moments together scattered across the story. They may not have that big impactful moment compared to other dynamics in WBK (examples being Chika calling Endo by his full name, or Nirei yelling at Sakura in Noroshi, but we’ll get to that later), however they are important to their relationship and for their individual characters. There’s too many to list here, so I will keep it short.

From the start of Wind Breaker, Suo has always teased Sakura; even lying to him when they first meet:

We all know that Suo is a very unserious guy, and this aspect of his character is highlighted the most when it comes to his interactions with Sakura. He constantly pokes fun at him; blatantly lying to him with the sole purpose to mess with him and just being a general tease.

These aren’t even all the instances when Suo does this! I got lazy while compiling images (yes, theres *that* many moments where Suo teases Sakura), but I hope this paints a good perspective.

This makes Sakura thinks of him as “untrustworthy”, in a more lighthearted sense.

Infact, out of anyone else in the cast, Sakura is the only person who actively questions Suo’s character. (I’m not counting Tsugeura because their confrontation was a one time thing)

But here’s the thing: Even if Suo takes advantage of the fact that Sakura is gullible enough to believe anything just so he can mess with him, Sakura still relies on Suo.

He relies on him to come up with a strategic plan for their war, partners with Sugishita despite his initial reluctance, and even follows his advice on how to fight with others people (which works in his favor immensely during the beginning of Noroshi and while he works with Sugishita)

Theres also another moment I’d like to showcase (which is very underrated imo):

Here, we see Sakura taking the support of Suo’s shoulder in order to kick Endo in the face. We also see Suo defending Sakura a few moments ago as well.

Heres’s the thing: Sakura is an arial fighter. He can easily jump to certain heights by himself, much less be able to kick his opponents mid-air. He doesn’t require any support to lift his body upwards.

So why would Sakura do this?

It’s simple: Sakura trusts Suo, whether it be direct or subconsciously. And as his vice captain, Suo also trusts Sakura. Why would he appoint him as class captain if otherwise?

Their mutual trust plays a massive part in their relationship. There are many instances showing this aspect, but for now I will just analyze this iconic scene:

Both Sakura and Suo immediately jump into action in order to protect their friend, Nirei, from any immediate threat (Endo). They exchange no words, only a knowing glance to each other.

I believe that this page shows the essence of their relationship: Despite their petty banter and occasional disagreements, despite how less ‘open’ their relationship is, they are more often on the same wavelength than not.

They care for and trust each other immensely. However, many of their nuances are in hidden between the lines of their relationship due to the guarded nature of characters.

And it is with all these aspects combined that makes the Suo and Sakura duo appealing to many people.

TLDR: Suo and Sakura trust and care for each other a lot, despite their personal shortcomings and Suo incessantly messing with Sakura.

Life series winners as minecraft biomes

I’m listing two per because I can and also some of the answers were too easy imo (also I’m only doing overworld biomes)

Grian: desert (easy mode) and sparse jungle (vibes)

Scott: forest and taiga (both lovely, underrated biomes that tend to get little to no appreciation or attention despite their frequency)

Pearl: plains (rarely acknowledged but incredibly useful as a foundation) and old growth birch forest (vibes)

Martyn: beach (easy mode, also beaches override other biomes which I feel like is very in character) and warm ocean (also easy mode given that’s where coral reefs spawn)

Scar: sunflower field (easy mode, as well as often being dismissed or unnoticed despite their simple beauty) and flower forest (vibes: he’s just a flowery and very colorful guy, also flowers are a pretty significant motif for his character)

Cleo: dark forest (enchanting but dangerous, one of the most beautiful yet deadly biomes in the overworld) and wooded badlands (vibes)

Joel: meadow (high altitude, lots of open space; flowers, llamas, and bees are common, it’s just overall a lovely place if you slow down enough to notice) and river (often viewed as troublesome or intrusive, but vital to the ecosystem; both fluid and unyielding)

Jayce/Silco is such an underrated dynamic imo

Both as a ship or just as platonic character interaction. Like. If you think about it, they have such potential:

a) They already met in canon (and what a meeting it was).

b) Their character traits are so complementary. Silco is a mistrustful, cunning, slippery bastard. Jayce is naive and honest to a fault.

Silco will ruminate forever on how people wronged him. Jayce is probably one of the most loving and forgiving people in all of Arcane. (Like, the dude canonically powered of love his way out of the literal apocalypse. Jayce Talis, the man that you are.)

Jayce wears his emotions on his sleeve. Silco invented a whole Rebirth Narrative™ to avoid them.

Silco can't trust anyone. Jayce literally can't help but trust everyone. (He doesn't even haggle.)

Jayce is nice and kind to people for no other reason than it being a good thing to do. This notion alone would be enough to make Silco's brain go Error 404: Page Not Found.

They're both smart. They're both idealistic. They both want to do good to Zaun (albeit in very misguided - and on Jayce's side, ignorant - ways). Jayce has Vander's big warm golden retriever energy, without the association to an inherent threat of violence Vander holds for Silco.

There's so. much. potential. They make such a pair.

Nobody. Yeah, in reality, I hate mythology and just pretend I like it. Or I just love making puns about my favorite lying war criminal. Who didn't cheat btw.

Penelope. These two are soulmates, no ifs or buts. I always found her underrated and @dootznbootz 's ramblings on her confirm that. Cunning and sassy half-naiad queen.

"The delian twins", as I like to call them. Idk I really love their multifaceted natures of protectors and deadly huntress/inflictor of illnesses (with an affinity towards plague). And their familial bond is precious. And I like them both equally, even though I talk about Apollo a bit more ig.

Leto. She's precious. They're always ready to defend each other. Like when Apollo and Artemis killed Niobe's kids because she was disrespectful to Leto. Or when Leto came in to save her son from being thrown in Tartarus by Zeus. Or when baby Artemis helped her mother deliver her brother. She fought for her children and now they fight for her.

Hestia. Too bad there isn't more about her because I relate a lot to the concept of chilling at home and staying away from drama.

Ariadne. Because of her family's tragic history, her healing from it with Dionysus (in most versions) and overall, she's great. Also, it's funny how Theseus wanted to marry a child of Zeus but his ex girlfriend actually succeeded 😂. Speaking of her family tragedy...

Asterius. I bet most adaptation authors don't know who I am referring to 🤣. He's a man-eating monster, yes, but he grew up isolated, trapped and unloved. I feel so bad for him.

Perseus. The GOAT. Partly thanks to @sarafangirlart. I already liked him since I always knew he wanted to save his mother, but he genuinely grew on me since I read her posts. That and when I learned of his war against Dionysus. Extremely underrated story.

Athena. Idk I don't think I need to elaborate on why she's cool.

Hades. In retellings, I often hate him because he's either woobified or made into "Greek Satan" (at least in Disney he's fun), but he's genuinely cool in mythology. Morally gray Hades save me.

Hermes. From birth, he was always a little trickster. I love how many functions he has (messenger of the gods, god of merchants, thieves, communication, also a psychopomp btw). A very energetic and helpful god.

Asclepius. I think I should make a post explaining why he's great because, yeah, I don't talk much about him even though there are things to say (yeah it's because I did a lot of research on him).

And... finally... Dionysus 🤣. Of course he made it in this list. I dedicated a whole essay series about this god, come on !

Favorite myths/plays/poems

I already answered that but can't find the post. So I'll do it again, with some new answers in mind. Basically "the myths with the characters on the list".

It's either because they're that compelling or just hilarious.

The homeric cycle. Ok, an easy one.

The Bacchae by Euripides (mandatory reading if you want to understand Dionysus imo. No excuses).

The frogs by Aristophanes. Because it's funny.

Asclepius' story. Seriously I'll elaborate on it one day.

Hermes' birth story. Him stealing Apollo's cows and Apollo getting mad at his scallywag of a brother 🤣🤣. And then just him winning Apollo over with the lyre.

Pirithous and Theseus getting their asses stuck on a chair (yes this is my title for this story). I love to mock these two, especially Pirithous because... give this man a Darwin award please. No thoughts and no survival instincts in his brain 😂.

Orpheus and Eurydice. Simple but powerful.

The Argonautica. Aka a huge crossover. Seeing more interactions between all these heroes would be awesome (especially if we take every version into account 👀. So many faces...). It's funny how I love the Argonautica but never talk about Jason himself 🤣🤣. The embodiment of the protagonist who's less interesting than the other characters.

Perseus' war against Dionysus. A potential retelling about this myth would go so hard !! Especially since we could get a scary Dionysus. Hopefully it doesn't get ruined :(

this is another show that has very little drama or un-cute moments. the characters are adorable, the friendship is top-tier, and the slice of life aspect really invests you in the story. definitely will have you smile most (if not all) of the time!

this show is my little underrated gem! it does have SOME drama, but it's mostly about two overtly kind main characters who fall in love despite odds. it's so cute, so wholesome, and genuinely just a fucking good time if you wanna cheer up :)

OUR DINING TABLE

another show that does have some deeper, sadder moments (almost all shows do lol) but is overall a beautiful story of healing through community & food with, again, incredibly kind and lovable characters which I could not recommend more!

this show is one I had no expectation for... except perhaps that I thought it would suck. however, while it is in no way a masterpiece & will frankly go down as a forgettable show for me, it was actually REALLY enjoyable. this show truly has close to zero drama and is just about love & friendship. frankly the friendship element is what did it for me, paired with the unique & lovable characters. this is just a great time if you want to turn your brain off & enjoy the cuteness imo (there's a couple sex scenes tho but nothing very explicit)

WHAT DID YOU EAT YESTERDAY

yet ANOTHER show about food lol, bc one thing about food bls, there's 500 of them & they're all super cute and wholesome lol it's law :') this one is the OG, it's as non-sexual as it can get since there's barely any intimacy, but it's very wholesome and has 2 seasons + 1 movie + 1 special ep. you just follow this older gay couple through life as they cook their awesome recipes while still getting some social commentary on being lgbtq+ in japan, it's just... I fully want this show to keep getting seasons forever, I love it so much! (also idk if you're interested in gls but 'she loves to cook and she loves to eat' is also a show with the same premise but wlw & I adore it!)

THE NEW EMPLOYEE

this one is also an underrated gem of mine even though it's a very overlooked kbl :( it's a very simple story that is explicitely lgbtq+ (very rare for kbls) & the couple really is the cutest with great chemistry! I really enjoyed this one & would recommend it :)

I WILL KNOCK YOU

now... with a title like this, you might be wondering if this is truly a "wholesome" and "pure" show... IT IS! this show is the proof of the kind of silliness thai dramas can offer, and why they're so great. it's dumb and frankly weird at times, but it's also one of the funniest thai comedies ever & has great character growth! despite featuring SOME violence, it is actually just a really wholesome romcom, and the character of noey is frankly iconic af. one of my fave niche bl shows!

RAK DIAO

speaking of dumb, silly, wholesome comedy... rak diao is the first (and still the only lol) thai bl sitcom. it follows a very simple story with almost no drama and has a very lovable & fun main character. this is such a cute show which is, again, way too underrated!

BON APPETIT

what did I say about food shows & being wholesome? yeah, that! this one does have SOME drama, more than the other shows featured on this list, but it's very quickly squashed down & also so predictable I don't think it will influence your mood whatsoever. this is overall very cute & wholesome, although a bit basic. but the chemistry is very good so I'd recommend it!

LOVE SICK

now, I've mentioned over the years (MANY TIMES) about how love sick is my comfort show. yes, it's old & the camera work, acting, etc. are MILES behind current bl shows, and yes, it's actually not that wholesome bc they're cheating on their girlfriends the whole time, but... this is like the OG my school president, but even more lovable imo. it's a true slice of life, and the characters are all so cute & fun, the friendship literally carries the entire show & phunnoh are one of the most healthy ships ever (despite the affair!) this show has a lot of obstacles to enjoy it but imo it's worth it. I love it so much. it'll forever be super special for me :) also I feel like watching the first ever thai bl should be a rite of passage lol!

BOYS' LOCKDOWN

I had to mention at least one filipino bl here, and it's one that pretty much no one watched but I absolutely loved! this is soft & wholesome to the T, two guys accidentally meet during lockdown (bc they both are wearing masks with d*cks on them lmao this show is great) & fall in love but encounter difficulties meeting through quarantine. there's no drama, the chemistry is great, the story quite well written... it's so cute!

I was really surprised that none of them got even a short story to themselves, or even one in better in black! I think it’s such a shame because of these couples are so cute. I would love for a short story of like, when Charlotte and Henry first got married I could imagine how sweet and awkward it would be.

Cecily and Gabriel Imo are too underrated in the fandom for cute and amazing they are. Obviously there relationship does not get as much page time as it deserves (because there only present in clockwork princess) but there RELATIONSHIP IS SO CUTE. Honestly we deserved so much of them 😭😭 Cecily and Gabriel I will avenge you.

And there’s also something so cute about both Gideon and Sophie being in love with each other, I could talk about the scones scene for the rest of my life.

SIDE CHARACTERS IN THE INFERNAL DEVICES CASSIE MAY NOT LOVE YOU BUT I DOOOOOOOO

Long post. Rant. Open for discussion.

I’m complaining here because I actually LIKED the episode, it’s one of the episodes I have mixed feelings about. It’s kind of my personal favourite, or a guilty pleasure.

I’ve watched Metamorphosis (s2e9). It has some incredible moments. The poetic “I became a human just to touch you”, monologue about love of Kirk, the lighting and aesthetics of the set of the episode are exceptionally pleasing.

Although the idea, the concept, and the plot are vulnerably charming, it lacks logical reasoning in some crucial moments. And not only because it was made in 1960s.

First, an underrated moment:

Zefram being angry and disgusted that he has romantic relationship with an alien, Kirk and Bones being visibly upset about his reaction. Bones started protecting this relationship immediately, while Kirk suddenly became quiet and looked down while usually he’s quite vocal about injustice. Because Spock is an alien, and Kirk and Spock are very close, so for me it was a moment showcasing the affection of Kirk towards Spock and that Zefram’s reaction was taken personally by Kirk.

Here are some points that DID NOT bother me although DID BOTHER other fans:

- Companion possessing the body of Hedford. For me it does have a body horror element, but I do like this, because it’s… Very alien. Hedford was dying, and she expressed that she wanted to feel love, and she did express some interest in Zefram. Since Companion is able to communicate telepathically, I am pretty sure Hedford was ok with that, either that, either that she was dead already… Which is dark, yes, but kinda cool? In a pure fiction moment, you know what I mean? Now, Hedford can experience love she yearned, and be healthy, and Companion can be a human, win/win for both. Although I’d love to have a scene showing the consent. Bit IMO it’s more of a gray/alien morals issue.

- “Women didn’t make a choice”. I disagree here. Companion did make a choice herself. Kirk simply was explaining that she can’t hold the captive, I mean… love is a self sacrifice, and holding them captive is wrong.

Here are some points that DID BOTHER me:

1) “The alien is a girl! It changes everything!”

First, let’s state the obvious — males are able to love too, no? But. Even though the translator made them sound like a girl, characters still don’t know what gender/sex for this creature means. In fact to me it’s rather sexless/genderless. Didn’t it occur to the characters that the creatures all could just sound female or maybe the alien chooses to be female or male depending on their mood?

2) Even if they are a woman, it doesn’t mean they don’t see Zefram as a pet. Why does it automatically mean they see him as a love interest? Ladies can’t have pets? But at least thanks for Spock highlighting the difference of attitude toward them to Zefram. Couldn’t they just leave the moment like this instead of focusing on her gender?

3) Didn’t it occur to you, Kirk, that the alien could see Zefram as a child? They are much powerful then any human can be, they could see Zefram as someone who’s weak and small, therefore in need of protection.

4) Love is such a broad concept. The creature cared for Zefram. Doesn’t matter if they cared because they saw Zefram as a child, pet, lover, a friend. They could just simply love and care without giving their relationship any labels. Kindness and mercy are very strong feelings and motivation.

5) The creature is also lonely, or can be lonely. So it became affectionate towards an intelligent being mostly because of this reason.

AND.

This plot hole could be fixed with one simple moment:

That Zefram felt that every time he and Companion are symbiotic he experiences that he just has had sex. Trickorder could show that something like reproduction/lovemaking is happening there. Sex is referenced in ST quite often & straightforward so why didn’t they reference it there?

Bones could say “hmmmm it seems like Zefram experiences… Some biological processes”.

Even if lovemaking slightly implied by how Zefram reacts, they could better focus on this instead of saying “it’s a woman so she loves him”. Just simply cut the line of “oh she’s a woman”.

The show quite often explores love and affection in its different rich forms, most notably of Spock & Kirk. T’hy’la is also an example, but it might not be exactly fair for me to mention it as the term was invented later. But my point stands: it would be such an interesting topic to explore, as it was explored previously on the show. The City Edge Of Forever’s “you belong by his side” quote comes to mind. Even the famous Amok Time showcases that love could even over-win the Vulcan biology. Also, aliens could have different morals, concepts, even emotions, which is also an interesting topic to think about.

Idk just wanted to rant. At least it’s very aesthetically appealing and has some objectively great moments.

Kinda wish there could be the copy of episode with all the issues fixed so it could be a perfect beautiful episode that wouldn’t require me to switch off my critical thinking to enjoy it fully.

Hi! Question for you! You've convinced me to try starting TAZ, but there's just... so much of it.... would you recommend starting all the way from the beginning, or is it possible to pick and choose the best arcs? If so, where would you recommend beginning? Thank you!

Assuming you're interested in the arc that I post the most about, which is Balance (the one with Taako, Magnus, and Merle, my beloveds), then I would just start at the beginning of that arc! (Which is also the beginning of the podcast as a whole.)

The early episodes of Balance aren't as good as the rest in terms of, like, pure objective quality, but they're still hilarious from the very beginning, and also very worth it IMO for how they set up the plot and characters — even if clumsily at first, because the McElroys didn't initially realize how far they wanted to take this series. If you see me going insane about Characters and Themes, and that's what draws you in to TAZ, you will almost certainly find the length of Balance worth to be it lol; just know that it's a comedy show overall where the life-changing emotionally-devastating parts are more of a slow burn.

But also, if you want to start somewhere with slightly better production quality, you can still start with one of the other campaigns, since they're more or less unrelated stories! Balance is of course your standard D&D fantasy adventure, which eventually turns into something grander in scale and blurs the lines with other genres. Amnesty is a modern-setting Monster of the Week campaign, in a mysterious small town in the radio quiet zone of West Virginia — darker in tone than most arcs in some ways, but a blast if you're into that. Graduation is a fantasy school story that I think is among the more underrated arcs, because it has a different DM (Travis instead of Griffin); I think it has very fun worldbuilding about "heroism," "villainy," and "sidekick" as college majors and professions, and my second-favorite player character dynamic after Balance.

Rounding out the arcs I've listened to in full, Ethersea and Steeplechase are both bangers in my opinion, but not ones I'd recommend as an introduction, for various reasons (Steeplechase actually has a running gag that spoils the ending of Balance lmao). Multishipper Madness pt 1

I thought it would be fun to rank my favourite aftg ships for each character. Starting things off with Neil Josten himself. Fair warning, it gets goofy.

1. Neil/Andrew (top Neil pairing, I love their canon relationship, I also love seeing them still together in AUs)

2. Neil/Matt/Dan (genuinely so underrated, pairs best with Kandrew universes imo)

3. Neil/Jean (Raven!aus or Andrew has to be gone for some other reason, but I Love me some misplaced forever partners)

4. Neil/Andrew/Kevin (a classic, I like romantic and qpr versions)

5. Neil/Jean/Kevin (Raven!aus only)

6. Neil/Kevin (can usually only picture them as pre-Kandriel, but I love versions of things where they get together first and Andrew angsts for a while about being left out)

7. Neil/Aaron (Andrew has to be gone, but then it's a guilty fave)

8. Neil/Matt (Kandrew universes/ when Matt and Dan are polyam but they don't open things up until after she moves away)

9. Neil/Andrew/Renee (ok hear me out, I love a version of things where Andrew and Renee have a long standing fwb arrangement - they care for each other but it's not exactly romantic (she's aromantic and he's demiromantic) and then Renee notices Andrew falling Hard for Neil and just supports him endlessly. Neil is initially wary of getting in the way of what they have and Renee is unsure of whether she should back away from things but while Neil is slow to warm up to her I'm a sucker for imagining Renee and Neil as eventually Very close even if it never turns sexual or romantic between the two of them. I just think they would be able to understand each other so well)

10. Neil/Ichirou (butcher!Neil AUs, not usually my thing but every once in a while)

11. Neil/Allison/Seth (fwb only, obv this doesn't exactly jive with Neil's canon sexuality but I love the idea of Allison and Seth trying to one up each other by both trying to seduce Neil and he's just 1000% done with them most of the time but he's also like "sure keep trying to piss each other off by providing me with orgasms")

12. Neil/Wymack (cancel me. Look, it's not like I think it makes canon sense, I just think it would be hot and also melt Kevin's brain in a way I find hilarious)

I feel like amvs are so often forgotten in fandom culture, so here's a list of my favourites! Kirk & Spock │Renegades -- amazing x ambassadors song, the lyrics fit them so well and the colouring was spot on. TOS going through the original series and the movies!! 💙

Kirk & Spock │ Come right back to you -- exploration of TOS spirk's bond interspersed with show quotes and the most melancholic soundtrack. shed a tear at this one

Spock and Kirk Feel Again - A Star Trek Music Video -- absolute BANGER of a One Republic song, a TOS amv focusing on Spock and Kirk (with some stunning song parallels to Spock's emotions and the lyrics!)

Star Trek TOS | Two Slow Dancers - [Kirk + Spock] -- would you like to cry today? do you want to sob into your pillow? then this is the video for you. Mitski and TOS Spirk together is a gorgeous combo, and the editing is /on point/

Star Trek - Can't Help Falling In Love (Kirk/Spock) -- an oldie but a goodie, Jim and Spock's ballad of love all throughout TOS and the movies

Keep Holding On (Kirk/Spock) -- its the combo you never knew you needed! glee and Star Trek!! show tunes, glitter, and a completely TOS movie based amv about the events of Search For Spock and The Voyage Home

Running Up That Hill (Kirk/Spock) -- Kate Bush cover and Star Trek TOS? yes fucking please. don't diss the Kate Bush, people. ITS NOT CRINGE HERE. all your swoon-worthy, love-for-the-ages spirk content, some suggestive scenes spliced in the middle, a lot of amok time hehe

K/S (Kirk/Spock) - FUN -- adrenaline inducing AOS spirk fighting amv set to Troye Sivan!! some seriously talented editing and a very pretty AOS colouring

Spirk 'Blank Space' -- christ, this video was what got me to actually watch AOS. One of the only AOS amvs I cherish with my whole heart. the song is a cover of Taylor Swift's Blank Space - and imo it's even better than the original. I've ranted about the editing on a lot of these but this one just about takes the cake. fucking gorgeous 💙

Spock/Kirk - Blue (Star Trek TOS/AOS) -- angsty af and set to Halsey's 'Colors', this one'll get you sobbing. more slow-paced. also, both TOS and AOS!!

Spock / Kirk - Stay {TOS/AOS} -- Hurts is such an underrated artist but so many of their songs are spirk coded!! Very pretty edit, lots of parallels

Kirk/Spock - Landslide -- Fleetwood Mac and some lovely melancholic TOS movie reminiscing about Kirk and Spock's relationship as they're growing older and losing their youth

Kirk/Spock - Wait for It -- calling all Hamilton fans, this one'll be right up your alley. TOS fading into AOS and focusing primarily on Kirk and Spock's dynamic through Spock's perspective. fast paced and fucking wicked

Star Trek: Kirk/Spock || Hold on -- the obligatory Hold On amv (I feel like every fandom has one lol). AOS, spirk, some great angst here!

James T. Kirk:

James T. Kirk | I'll Be Good -- absolutely STUNNING exploration of AOS Kirk's character and psyche, done with gorgeous editing and colours and scene selection. I'm not a huge AOS fan but I played this on repeat for a week. Song is I'll Be Good by Jaymes Young, which is incredibly Jim Kirk coded. so so amazing 💙

Icarus | Jim Kirk [HD] -- snappy cuts and a great portrayal of AOS Kirk. Spirky undertones but nothing explicit. super poignant lyrics

Little Talks - Captain Kirk Tribute: A Star Trek Music Video -- captivating, beautifully edited amv by First Officer Nims (who make some of the best amvs I've watched), one of the most meaningful TOS Kirk videos I've had the pleasure of finding. It's constantly in my head, in my heart, in my soul. 10/10 💙

{James T. Kirk} BI BI BI -- all y'all bi Jim truthers, this one's for you. all of Jim's fruitiest moments from TOS (and behind the scenes) gathered into one camp edit and set to the glorious sounds of NSYNC!! featuring "are there men on this planet", "they seem to be bisexual" and Jim nearly kissing McCoy ;) 💙

jim kirk's babiest moments | fanvid -- not exactly an amv but it's close enough!! exactly what it says on the tin - TOS Jim being the most babygirl ever, pouting, flirting with spock and bones, fighting people by throwing himself at them, and much more. go watch it, you'll thank me

What's On Your Mind | Spones || Star Trek [TOS] -- a masterfully put together and downright hilarious eighties-themed spock/bones TOS amv!! (featuring both Nimoy and Kelley's voices in the actual song recording)

Spock & Bones • Hopeless place -- two words: RIHANNA COVER. it's short, its AOS, it's fuckin Rihanna. what is there not to love? I have nothing more to say. go listen to Rihanna

The Night We Met || Spones -- Lord Huron and TOS Spones amv, it's just a general lovely video, great editing and the lyrics fit them so well. I felt Lots of Emotions watching this, and so will you

[Star Trek] Spock/McCoy - Please Don't Leave Me -- beautifully put-together video for TOS' Spock and Bones. It's giving so much 'we're divorced but still in love' energy. painful and funny and the bridge of the song is just *screams incoherently* 💙

You Had A Bad Day -Spock/McCoy *Slash* -- sobbing at this one, TOS and absolutely chefs kiss. scene selection is on point, it tells a full story. creator has found what I consider to be the holy grail of Bones' best angsty moments

Star Trek In General:

Star Trek - This Is Me -- I will be preaching about this video for the rest of my fucking life. think of every positive adjective you can; they all do nothing to describe how wonderful this amv is. Greatest Showman is good on its own... when you add Star Trek into the mix something beautiful happens. an absolute anthem of positivity and inclusivity and everything Star Trek is at its heart. Clips taken from every show, but especially DS9, Discovery and the AOS movies!!! probably my favourite on the whole list 💙

Star Trek || I'll keep coming -- very very well done HD AOS amv about the whole cast. feels like a movie. the creator has put so much effort into this and it pays off!! great homage to AOs as a whole

Star Trek | You Are Loved -- AOS tribute to the soundtrack of Lights by Sleeping At Last. Perfect cuts, great lyrics, big fan

[Star Trek: TOS] Party Rock Anthem -- the video for those who want to bust their ass laughing. superb chaos, you will have no idea what's happening and it will be fabulous

Star Trek DS9 - Last Friday Night -- the DS9 group bullshitting around and having a whale of a time for almost four minutes straight. ever wanna show a friend just how weird Star Trek really is? this'll do it. it's like if three hundred punch drunk aliens threw a queer party! wahoo!

Garak x Bashir - Hooked -- sexy, dangerous, catchy garashir amv with perfect beat drops and lyrics to die for. fucking sweet, I have this on repeat

Undisclosed Desires | Deep Space Nine -- DS9 Bashir/Garak slash, amazing editing and a sick ass song. Really shows off their - again - dangerous dynamic and the 'I can make him better' 'I can accept his violence' aspects of their relationship

King of Shadow ★ Garashir -- a more intimate, kind-hearted look into Bashir/Garak's relationship, less fast-paced and on-edge. Superb and filled with lies and whispers. love this one!

Scotty/Uhura- "Hey Soul Sister" -- sweet and utterly adorable lil scotty/uhura amv. fluff fluff and more fluff!! big fan, I am such a simp for the cuteness omg

Garak/Bashir | ST: DS9 | Some Boys -- back on the dangerous garashir shit, this is the stuff of my best nightmares. amazing editing and the song choice is spot on. I've had the single by Death Cab For Cutie on Spotify repeating for a week *heart eyes*

Kathryn Janeway || Soldier -- I'm a big Voyager fan, and this is the perfect tribute to Janeway. It shows exactly how her character works, getting right into her head, and the whole thing is action packed. Paced spectacularly and argh just amazing
