The Ultimate Parasite Slayer - over the last few weeks at the Sunfired wellness retreat I’ve been religiously eating the papaya & its seeds for breakfast!
Papaya seeds have super powerful health benefits, including the ability to kill intestinal parasites. They contain proteolytic enzymes like papain, which help break down and eliminate parasites from the digestive system. The seeds also have antimicrobial properties that can combat harmful bacteria and fungi, contributing to overall gut health.
Especially as someone who has spent years eating animal protein I’ve been introducing foods that fight against parasites, like these papaya seeds. @aris_latham recommends to eat the seeds WHOLE as this is the most effective way for the parasites 🪱 magnetise to them while they travel through the gut!
And yes it’s true you can see 👀 them come straight through the other end 😱😳

Top 5 Foods to Remove Dry Skin
Dry skin can be a persistent and bothersome issue for many individuals, causing discomfort and sometimes leading to more serious skin conditions. While skincare routines and moisturizers play a crucial role in combating dry skin, the importance of a well-balanced diet should not be overlooked. Nutrition plays a key role in maintaining skin health, and certain foods are known for their ability to hydrate and rejuvenate the skin. In this article, we will explore the connection between diet and dry skin and discuss the expertise of Dt Shreya Katyal, a renowned dietitian in Delhi who offers online diet consultation at Diets & More.
The Relationship Between Diet and Dry Skin:
The health of our skin is closely linked to our dietary habits. Lack of essential nutrients can result in dry, flaky skin, and addressing this issue from the inside out is fundamental for long-term solutions. Including foods rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants in your diet can help nourish and moisturize your skin, promoting a healthy complexion.
Foods to Combat Dry Skin:
Avocado: Avocado, a nutrient-dense fruit, boasts a wealth of benefits for skin health. Packed with healthy fats, vitamins E and C, and antioxidants, it serves as a potent ally in promoting skin well-being. The healthy fats in avocado nourish and moisturize the skin, enhancing hydration and preventing dryness. Additionally, the combination of vitamins E and C provides powerful antioxidant properties, offering protection against oxidative stress and reducing inflammation. These elements collectively contribute to maintaining skin elasticity and fostering a supple and youthful complexion. Including avocado in your diet can be a delicious way to support your skin from within, reaping the rewards of its nutritional richness for a glowing and healthy appearance.
Nuts and Seeds: Almonds, walnuts, and sunflower seeds stand out as exceptional sources of vitamins and minerals, particularly featuring high levels of vitamin E. Renowned for its potent antioxidant properties, vitamin E plays a crucial role in safeguarding the skin against oxidative stress. This protective function aids in maintaining skin moisture and preventing dryness. By incorporating these nuts and seeds into your diet, you not only benefit from their rich nutritional profile but also fortify your skin with the essential elements needed for a radiant and well-hydrated complexion.
Fruits and Vegetables: Vibrantly colored fruits and vegetables are packed with essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, forming a powerhouse of support for overall skin health. Berries, citrus fruits, spinach, and sweet potatoes, in particular, offer a wealth of benefits in the fight against dry skin. Rich in nutrients, these foods contribute to skin hydration, aid in collagen production, and protect against oxidative stress. Incorporating a variety of colorful produce into your diet not only enhances the skin's vitality but also provides a natural and delicious way to combat dryness and promote a healthy, glowing complexion.
Olive Oil: Olive oil, a wholesome source of healthy fats, is enriched with antioxidants and vitamin E. Integrating it into your diet can play a pivotal role in supporting skin hydration and protection. The antioxidants in olive oil help combat oxidative stress, contributing to overall skin health. Additionally, the presence of vitamin E aids in maintaining skin moisture, ensuring a well-hydrated and protected complexion. Incorporating olive oil into your culinary choices not only enhances the flavor of your meals but also provides a natural and beneficial boost to your skin's hydration and defense mechanisms.
Fatty Fish: Fatty fish, such as salmon, mackerel, and trout, are rich sources of omega-3 fatty acids, namely EPA and DHA, pivotal for maintaining skin health. These fatty acids play a vital role in preserving the skin's natural oil barrier, which, in turn, prevents moisture loss. By enhancing the integrity of this barrier, omega-3s contribute to effective moisture retention, reducing the likelihood of dry and flaky skin. Moreover, their anti-inflammatory properties make them beneficial for alleviating skin conditions associated with inflammation, including redness and dryness. Incorporating fatty fish into one's diet not only supports overall skin health but also provides anti-aging benefits, helping maintain a youthful and radiant complexion.

Natural methods to boost collagen synthesis during weight loss
Supporting collagen production during weight loss can help maintain skin firmness and elasticity. Here are some natural ways, with specific food and herb examples, to enhance collagen synthesis:
Amino acids for collagen building
Sources: Bone broth, chicken, fish (especially salmon), and eggs provide amino acids like glycine, proline, and lysine, essential for collagen structure.
Herbal Supplement: Horsetail is rich in silica, which supports collagen production and strengthens skin tissue.
Antioxidant-rich foods
Vitamin C Sources: Citrus fruits, strawberries, bell peppers, and broccoli. Vitamin C is vital for collagen synthesis by fibroblasts.
Polyphenol Sources: Green tea, berries (blueberries, blackberries), and dark chocolate. Polyphenols combat free radicals that break down collagen.
Hyaluronic acid-boosting foods
Sources: Sweet potatoes, soy products, and root vegetables like carrots help the body produce hyaluronic acid, which hydrates and plumps the skin.
Topical and dietary vitamin A
Topical Retinoids: Retinoid creams (such as retinol) can stimulate collagen production and reduce collagen breakdown.
Dietary Sources: Carrots, sweet potatoes, and leafy greens like spinach are rich in beta-carotene, a precursor to vitamin A, which aids skin repair.
Omega-3 fatty acids and hydration
Sources: Salmon, chia seeds, flaxseeds, and walnuts. Omega-3s help reduce inflammation, supporting collagen stability.
Herbal Support: Aloe vera, when applied topically, can hydrate and soothe the skin, complementing internal hydration for skin elasticity.
These natural foods and herbs provide essential nutrients that support collagen synthesis, helping maintain facial firmness and elasticity during weight loss.

simple ways to improve ur diet⋆.ೃ࿔*:・🍈
the saying "you are what u eat" is TRUE. a quote that rly resonated with me and inspired this post was : you are what u eat, so dont be fast, cheap, easy, fake and not enough.
drink water - buy urself a cute water bottle and DRINK WATER. water is literally life. literally just drink water, its so worth it, for ur skin, hair, nails, immune system etc
TAKE UR VITAMINS
start drinking teas - i started drinking peppermint tea before bed every single day and its so PLEASANT and it literally improves ur health on multiple different levels. drink herbal teas, find one that u rly like and indulge in it. one that i rly loved was peach and strawberry oolong tea. one that i also rly recommend is green tea
peppermint tea : its so refreshing and easy to drink if ur someone who dislikes tea. it improves digestion, reduces pain, eliminates inflammation, relaxes ur body + mind, and boosts ur immune system
green tea : great for ur metabolism, rich in antioxidants etc
start eating fruit - FRUIT IS BETTER THAN CANDY and i'll stand on this till i die. especially if ur someone who has a massive sweet tooth (like me) stock up on fruits and enjoy them. i like to eat my fruits frozen (like green grapes or watermelon)
eat ur vegetables - it doesn't even have to be drastic but you need to be incorporating vegetables into ur diet every single day. i usually like to eat a small serving with every meal, or i'll have one meal a day where its purely veggies (like a salad). snack on vegetables, vegetables r so delicious and so good for u.
u can get vegetables into ur diet without having to eat them by themselves, you can eat them in pastas, put them in smoothies, turn them into sauces, dip them in sauces etc, just EAT THEM
cut out soda - if u can't cut out soda entirely pls minimize it because its so bad for u + it throws off ur pH balance
treat urself - always remember that ur diet should be like : 20% what u crave and 80% whats good for u. dont deny urself the foods that u wanna eat. eating healthy doesn't have to be boring and eating healthy doesn't mean that u can't enjoy the foods that u love. literally let urself live.
meal prep - if ur someone that often forgets to eat or u just dont have time to make a meal, try meal prepping. make urself snack boxes so that then u can stay eating consistently and if u haven't eaten yet, go eat something 💗

Get Your Morning Started 🤍
I bet you already read dozens of morning routines but maybe I can offer you a few different tips and tricks with my step by step morning routine.
waking up early is essential to make the most out of the day. If you aren‘t an early bird, try different kinds of alarm clocks (light, nature sounds, etc).
After waking up make sure there is some water on your nightstand and drink it. Start hydrating!
Try to avoid your phone as long as possible - no one needs your attention that early in the morning. Be considerate and put your attention on yourself!
Don‘t make your bed. Srsly! Open your window and air your bedding first. Making your bed right after getting up is a safe place for mites. While ventilating the bedroom you can go the bathroom, prepare your drinks/breakfast, journal or meditate. Make your bed 30 min after leaving your bed.
Meditate. Light a candle or incense sticks. Roll out your fitness mat and choose between guided meditations or non guided meditations (I recommend guided for beginners, you can find some on YouTube or Spotify) meditation is key try to stick to it daily!
Journal for organisation and personal growth. 5 to 10 minutes only (!!!) there are many journals out there, I personally use the 5 Minute Journal but any journal would do. You can use a plain notepad and look up journaling ideas on pinterest I really don‘t want you to spend money on stuff you don‘t necessarily need just for the aesthetic.
Move your body honey! Do a YouTube workout or go for a run. Walk your staircase up and down do whatever you feel like doing but try to ignore your lazy bum trying to make you skip this. Get stared on this one you can thank me later.
Breakfast, baby. Nutrition and hydration is non-negotiable! Have your vegetables and fruits, drink your coffee or matcha, don’t forget to drink your lemon water. Don‘t skip breakfast to loose wait angel. Your organs need the calories to function during the day so treat yourself with love and consideration.
Keep calm and moisturise. Quick shower or wash to get ready for the day. Skincare is everything. I’m currently investing (and testing) Korean skincare for myself but a few products are key: cleanser -> toner -> antioxidant serum (vitamin c) -> eye cream -> moisturizer -> sunscreen
Make up and dress up. Find your personal style you feel comfortable with and you‘re good to go. You can look up outfit capsules on pinterest for wardrobe ideas. In terms of make up I personally think less is more. Mascara, lip oil, some rouge on the cheeks and vaseline and you‘re fine. I personally prefer a sleek hairstyle.
Listen to podcast. This step is easily combined with breakfast or getting ready. I‘m currently listening to Confessions by Anastazia but I’ll probably make a playlist with my fave podcast episodes from various podcasts and share it with you.
Bisous!

stress management tips
don't overbook your schedule, and stay as organized as possible. time block the things you have to do at the start of the week, then work your fun and social plans around that. don't be scared to say no to that lunch or that work thing that would look good but you don't actually have time for. being perpetually available is a disservice to yourself and will have your obligations spreading you way too thin.
plan ahead. try to get any assignments or tasks done well before their deadline. if that's not possible, break the item down into smaller tasks and actually schedule them. plan outfits for events ahead of time. plan out your expenses on a monthly, if not weekly basis. plan ahead wherever possible.
maintain an active lifestyle. exercise is cathartic and reduces stress hormones. set aside regular time to exercise, make it a habit. walk instead of driving whenever possible. find hiking trails near your area for whenever you have a day free to enjoy nature and get some blood flowing.
eat well. try to eat a varied diet with plenty of complex carbs, lean proteins, fatty acids and fruits and vegetables with plenty of antioxidants. this will help regulate stress hormones as well as give you more energy on a day to day basis.
consume caffeine and alcohol only in moderation. if you're drinking to get drunk, or you need a cup of coffee or two to start your day, you need to change your habits.
put your phone away. engage in hobbies that don't require a screen. reading is always a good option. constant exposure to blue light screens will increase your stress levels.
cut out or limit contact with people who drain your energy. there might be people that you love who are going through a hard time but you feel as though your mental health is collateral. set boundaries that are healthy for you. it will make you a better friend in the long run.
stress is a good healthy motivator in small amounts, but it can quickly become overwhelming and affect your quality of life. take care of yourself, because you deserve to be loved and cared for.
