This is by far the stupidest thing posted by the stupidest person in the main Hazbin Hotel tags and I'm not even a page in today and the only reason I'm not reblogging and roasting their little kinnie ass directly is because they might be a minor.

I tried joining an 18+ Hazbin discord server for like a second time after being called transphobic for basically saying the other half of like the second radiodust kinnie couple that I'd met in the fandom wasn't really Alastor... And I'm nonbinary.

Then the second time after I'd found that new server run by a seemingly well known artist and my 29 year old invalid, crippled ass wanted access to the nsfw channels there, I was immediately told by a bunch of literal 18 to 20 year olds that I needed to god damn fucking provide them with a photo of me holding up my IRL ID, High School Diploma, or BIRTH CERTIFICATE if I wanted to get in, even though I already tried to explain to them as politely as possible how my crippled ass was in a wheelchair and that could be extremely dangerous for me and my carers especially would never allow that and I wasn't about to get myself in trouble for something like that over what basically amounted to a bunch embed links of twitter yiff porn of varying quality (even though I had absolutely no intention of giving up personal info like that anyway) and I do have screen shots where I was basically trolling them after that, that I'm saving for a later day when I'm less exhausted ... But I basically got frustrated enough to tell them in all caps that they could just put an 18+ lock on the entire server if they really wanted to be 18+ (that's what another 18+ adult server I was in that actually knew what they were doing did ... Before I got banned for... Talking positively about vivziepop where they could see it? :[ )

And then the mods of that Hazbin server that wanted me to fork over all of my personal info accused me of "being hostile" and "yelling at them" for being forced to use all caps due to the sheer absurdity of what they were asking and again, I just told them it wasn't worth it for a bunch of twitter furry porn and said "BYE BYE BITCHES! :D" and they booted me out.

An honestly? I haven't tried to join another 18+ vivziepop discord server since and I just gave up... Because at this point I'm just scared.

i find that hard to believe. minutes before rescuing glimmer, she says this:

shadow weaver didn't apologize and her intentions for sacrificing herself were not great. however, shadow weaver didn't participate in the war (not directly and not to the extent that catra did, at least). she never attempted murder. she never tried to end the world and kill everyone in it. she never caused the death of a person.

shadow weaver was an abuser but she wasn't a war criminal. she never went to the extent that catra did.

and as much as i don't condone abuse, i consider shadow weaver to be a morally grey character. she's horrible because she abuses and manipulates children but she was also willing to help out the heroes when they needed it, regardless of what her motivations were.

it is kind of the truth that monsters create even worse monsters. the cycle of abuse often times tend to worsen throughout generations, although not always. this should have been acknowledged in spop, but it wasn't.

two things. one, “lash out” is putting it lightly. you're acting like the worst catra did was yell at someone. save this term for characters like glimmer. secondly, i agree. keyword here being “if they change”. which catra doesn't. she doesn't change.

i completely empathize with people who relate to catra and i'm not stopping you from feeling happy about her redemption. abuse victims do deserve love and sympathy, they deserve a chance to change and grow.

but you have to realize that catra's redemption arc isn't healthy. realistically speaking, this is not good for her. her victims just forgiving her and letting everything slide will only provoke more toxicity from her.

in order to fix a mistake, you need to be held accountable. you need to remind yourself to do better everyday. and in catra's case, she doesn't hold herself accountable (as proven obvious by the way she still blames adora for leaving, and also never brings up certain things that she did like *cough* killing angella *cough*) and no one else holds her accountable either. this is a recipe for disaster. this is not how redemption arcs should work, in fiction or in real life.

not to mention, adora was also a victim of abuse. does she not deserve a happy ending? why is it that catra's trauma is the only one taken seriously? why is catra the only abuse victim who deserves to live a happy life, at the cost of her victim's happiness and well-being?

max and mike (and half of the main characters) trigger me on a personal level because I've suffered from relationship abuse from people who are exactly like them, the other part is because of their stans, who are the most vile hypocrites I've ever met in a fandom before

but you dont see me writing fics on them getting tortured, abused, rped or murdered

i cope with my trauma by consuming positive content of billy, chrissy, lucas, el, calicheer and mungrove

It means if you are lonely you should try to get to know your neighbors, go to a coffee shop or grocery store and have a conversation. Build community locally. Identity based community is important but it can be incredibly isolating to only talk to people you never get to see. If identity based community is as important to you as it is to me try hosting something at a nearby park or library. I understand this isn't gunna work for everyone and I'm very fortunate to live in a city, as small as it is, but I'm guessing a lot of you do as well.

For those with consistent access to internet and enough time to get invested in issues that only impact your experience online I'm guessing you don't live in an area so rural you can't meet other people who share atleast 1 identity with you. It might take a few tries and you might not get along with everyone you meet but its worth it. I think most people on here are at that stage of finding community and friends in person but for the late bloomers its not too late. Check for directories of support groups in your area, look for groups on fb that post events, check Lex for event posts (lex is for everyone) and if you're brave enough start your own.
