I saw your dejammed au and all I can wonder is how the beasts interact with the main three, who gets along best with who? I can see Wizard and Shadow Milk getting along slightly, but also it's Shadow Milk. Will we also get to see the beasts possibly growing closer to the three kiddos as time goes on, since Dark Enchantress seems to be actively making herself a bigger threat to the kids(not surprising, I'm pretty sure they've thwarted her plans and allies a lot of times by that point)

id LOVEEE to have the other beasts interact with the gingerbrave gang. theres one issue tho, and its that they never met these kids in canon i believe? mystic flour and burning spice confrontations happened without input of these three, instead it was always the other allies of the involved ancients. so while itd be fun, i dont think anything meaningful wouldve come out of it... maybe?

while her calmness is eerie, mystic flour wouldnt bother strawberry that much. she wouldnt strike up a conversation or pester her often, instead theyd just. exist in eachothers presence, which is a great breather from everything being so overwhelming

gingerbraves moxie and determination surely would amuse burning spice, at least somewhat. feisty little thing, which is actually admirable

as for shadow milk... he gets the most interactions with the kids due to au plot reasons, and since he is in constant danger of being exposed to their presence. ESPECIALLY ever since he decided to organize magic lessons to stave off boredom. is there other reason for these? who knows, but nothing has happened SO FAR. hell, strawberry crepe stays nearby too, shadow milk is one-in-a-lifetime opportunity for dough analysis and overall a curious study subject. dont worry though, theres always some supervision so that shadow milk doesnt get any funny ideas. or at least at first, as time goes on the unthinkable happens and he actually becomes trusted enough to hang around others without needing anyone to keep an eye on him

Viktor is wearing a shirt directly after the explosion, but hes only wearing his brace when jayce is carrying him to the lab. Did jayce try to perform cpr? Did he try to look for injuries? Is viktor even ALIVE when hes carrying him?

During one if the hexcore "x ray shots" you can see that viktor's spine was fully severed. He got HIT.

How long did he try cpr before he realised he needed a miracle for Viktor to survive?

Why wasnt Viktor taken to a hospital? Maybe Jayce didnt trust anyone else to touch him or maybe they didnt bother taking him to the hospital bc he was too far gone already?

The decision to parallel the meljay love scene with viktor rejecting a potential love interest and then nearly dying is WILD. Showing that Mel woke up alone bc jayce rushed to Viktor's side is WILD.

The show constantly making it clear how important viktor is to jayce, like not even as a dig towards mel or anything, but viktor is his BEST FRIEND. Where did all that fanon about jayce abandoning viktor come from bc it sure as hell didnt come from canon.

Literally viktor can do no wrong in jayces eyes, blud starts a mindcontrolling cult and jayce is like "i still love you baby". Viktor pouting to get his way and jayce folding every time is canon to me.

He made sure to include viktor and he would be so mad that the hexgates are only credited to him after their deaths

I need a stobotnik fic where robotniks called to HR for "fraternizing" with his assistant. Because naturally, robotnik would be confused about it, because he and stone arnt dateing. But then HR come at him with an itemised list of all the freak shit he's done with stone, and i mean ALL of it. So while he does proves he and stone arnt fraternizing, haveing everything him and stone have done laid out like that, he cant help but wonder if he and stone ARE dateing. Or at least have feeling for one another.

Initially he dissmises the thought, blocking it out due to being a stubborn basterd who's terrified of the thought of being able to care for another person in the first placre. But then it starts to keep him up at night. Then he begins to notice the patterns when going throughout his day with stone. How much he relies on the other, how close they are.

Everything that he did mindlessly before: pinning stone to walls, sticking his fingers into stones mouth, putting a tracker watch on stone, how much he touches stone compared to other people, the innate trust he puts in stone every time he drinks one of his coffee's, he now notices it ALL. His brain takeing note of it, and graphing it all with horrible accuracy. And of course robotnik hates it, and tries to go back to the way things were before, but, he cant. He cant stop noticing it now that its been brought to his attention, and its eating him up alive.

So he begins to avoid stone in a vain attempt to stop whatevers going on with him. He doesnt pin stone up to walls anymore, he doesnt call stone in for late night at the lab anymore, he doesnt jab him in the gut anymore, hell he doesnt call stone in for latte's anymore. But to his horror, it makes whatevers happening to him worse. Every soft touch, every adoreing look, it makes him squirm. It makes his gut flutter with a feeling he isnt framilar with and terrifies him.

So he doubles down, going out of his way to push stone away, to get his agent to leave him so that whatever this feeling is will leave him aswell. And yet stone stays, refuses to go until robotnik says resolutely that robotnik says he doesnt want him anymore. And when robotnik does, stone leaves.

And thats what robotniks enemies had been waiting for. Because of him pushing away stone, it creates an opening for anyone who wants to get their hands on him. And so they take it. They shut down his badniks, tie him up, and hull him off to god knows where.

And robotnik begins to genuinlly regret pushing stone away. Of course, he had already regreted it the moment stone had left the lab, the moment he called for stone only for his assistant to never come, but now he's going to die alone and thats more painfull than anything else. Sure, he was content to die alone before, but its hard to have a taste of heaven and want to go back.

Thankfully for him though, he isnt going to die alone, as stone comes back to save him. And seeing stone do so warms something in robotniks cold heart. Because it confirm to him that stone really does care for him, that he likes him enough to put his life on the line for robotnik, and even if ivo has a hard time saying it outloud, that means the world to him.

Additionally, it also makes him unable to deny that stone cares about him. Like sure, stone had shown it before, but ivo was to enwrapped in his own self hatred to notice, too scared to admit that maybe he can be loves, and what that sentiment might imply about his life leading up to now, to ever do anything but dissmiss it. But now he cant dissmiss it, he cant ignore it, he is forced to admit that stone cares about him and that he cares about stone back. And that he hurt the only person who cares about him.. the only person who gave enough of a shit about him to actually look for him when he went missing. The only person who, despite not needing to anymore, went to save him not because he wanted his inteligence or his stature, but because he wanted him... because he wants and cares for ivo. And so its safe to say robotnik starts to feel very guilty about how he treated stone, if he hadnt before.

Oh and he also begins to let himself admit that he may have a slight attraction to stone, because god, watching his scyophant bash his enemies skulls open before carrying him out bridal style does something to him.

What?! He may be a geuise, but he's still a, ugh, PERSON at the end of the day. So as much as he hates to admit it, he has his own weaknesses. And one of them just so happens to be stone manhandling him around while soaked in their enemies blood.

Anyhow, i'd imagine when stone drops robotnik off at the lab and goes to leave again, is when ivo gives him an apology. Of course, its not a good one since this is probobly the firsr apology he's ever given out ever, but the fact that he's giving one out at all is what matters to stone. And so they make up, and stone stays. (Maybe even kiss, not sure. Ivo already had to admit that he cares about someone, and that someone is capable about careing about him, which is already big for him. He might not be ready for the kissing step yet.)

Not sure if they would date after that, but ivo would deffinetly be a lot more open to concider that he might have feelings for stone. So cue a million "how to know if i am in love" google searches, and quizes. Maybe in a fit of desperation he even vaugly asks walters after announceing his un-kidnapping to the old man too, since walters is like, the only person ivo kinda knows enough to feel comfortable asking that. He would still try to make it vauge enough that walters wouldnt suspect that its about himself, or that he might have feelings twards stone.. but, lets be honest, walters reads this man like a book, he knows exactly whats going on.

After a bit of robotnik figureing himself out, i'd imagine him and stone would start dateing. Of course, robotnik would have a time figureing out how to confess. Probobly cycling through and scrapping MANY ideas before he lands on one he's comfortable with. But even then he's still akward as hell trying to go through with it. Talking about emotioms isnt his strong suit, so neither is confessing, thankfully though, atone was thinking of confessing at the same time so ivos burden is lightened. He still cant say "i love you" yet, though he manages to get the message across regardless.

After that, theyre relationship would progress slowly, after all big changes are scary to ivo, aswell as emotional intamacy, but they manage. Getting their way through with light hand holding, gentle touches, and maybe even a forehead kiss or two if theyre lucky.

So yeah, thats all i have, feel free to pitch in any ideas if you want to though.

If anyone has ever told you he’s not jealous they’re a liar. Fibber. Deceiver. Storyteller, even. Believe nothing they’ve ever said after that. Lee Know and Jealousy are two peas in a grenade.

First off, when he’s jealous you’ll know. He’s not the type of person who won’t show it out of fear for what will happen if he does. He’s just not. He stands his ground and isn’t about to let some weirdo flirt with his partner right in front of him. That’s not how he operates.

He fights for what’s his. And that includes whoever he’s with. If he DOESNT get jealous…He simply doesn’t care. Doesn’t want you anymore. Because his jealousy is part of him fighting for his partner and their relationship because he WANTS it and doesn’t want any threats to it.

He wants a stable relationship. Anything that would stoke jealousy is a threat to the relationship’s stability, plain and simple. And he won’t be satisfied until that thing is over and done with. Out of the picture and out of his life. For good.

He has a very restless mind. He overthinks, and over analyzes. He can’t help the thoughts that come up that’re jealous when his partner is a little too friendly with another guy. Because he’s a thinker. And once someone stokes that jealousy in him it will keep bubbling up. It will linger in the back of his mind.

He holds onto things a lot. So I WOULD NOT recommend getting him jealous on purpose. He will remember. And trust me, it will stack up against you. That’s how he is.

Generally he’s content and comfortable with his jealousy. It’s part of him. He doesn’t hide or deny it. Hell, he’d tell you he’s a jealous person if you asked. He’s always been that way. And he has a wealth of it to give out.

Jealousy builds and builds and builds with him. And it will stay until he’s 100% sure what started it will not be an issue again.

But even then he probably would throw it back in your face during arguments if it’s still lingering in his mind.

He’s content in his jealousy. But that doesn’t mean it’s not draining. If you constantly flare it up, he will feel like he can’t trust you. And trust is the most important thing to him in relationships.

Make him too jealous and he’ll be exhausted. Helpless. It’ll affect his self esteem slowly but surely, make him wonder why his partner keeps doing these things that make him jealous when they have him. It’ll make him doubt the relationship and his partner’s love for him, point blank period. And he may lose focus or interest in the relationship.

But he also doesn’t mind a jealous partner. Im getting a balance and equality there.

He wants to work past whatever it is that made him jealous. Because if he’s with you and caring and trying he loves you. And he doesn’t like losing those he loves, contrary to popular belief. And conversely he wants to know if the actions caused by his jealousy hurt. He’s like that with most things. He can say and do hurtful things but he won’t know they are unless he’s told. And he wants to be told. He doesn’t care if he is at any point as long as he is.

He will act like it’s fine after all is said and done but it’s not. It lingers. It causes a lot of turbulence in him. He’ll probably be on edge and the jealousy will be quick to flare back up. He’ll constantly be looking out for something.

The type to go through his partner’s phone without them knowing.

He may keep it a secret if it lingers too long because he doesn’t want to start rocking the boat for something that’s passed.

But he will throw it in your face in an argument.

He likes it when he can get over these things. Or when he feels he doesn’t have to hide it and can safely express its still bothering him with his partner. It makes him feel grateful for them. Grateful that they’re understanding of it. Like he’s lucky.

It makes him all the more content and emotionally satisfied in that relationship/situation.

This can start a lot of arguments though. Jealousy. And he’s not the kindest in arguments because his priority is protecting himself and his own peace.

He can be aggressive and say very hurtful things with no real compassion. He may possibly feel guilty or ashamed after the fact if he realizes it hurts you and he…Well, cares, but he’ll very rarely offer an apology unless you express how much it hurt after.

To me it seems Courtney is just lashing out for whatever reason. There is no good reason to not also discuss Lilys media takes besides her horrible actions. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. If allegations were enough, this conversation has been over for the better half of a decade. It is, in fact, a crying shame that we have to pepper the Lily fans and the general populace with petty, but provable media takes so that when we pull out the big guns, it won't just be thoughtlessly deflected. I'm sure almost all of us would say fuck it to this little dance we have to do with Lorch, but that's just how it is.

To reiterate for the sake of clarity. I find it hard to blame Courtney for her behavior and, on some level, even sympathize with it... but calling Sai and others that take pot shots at Lily's media takes a bunch of pedo smugglers is just isn't fair and indirectly downplaying how important it is to earn the trust of the people organically so they don't just plug their ears when we bring the heavy shit out with what unfortunately will always feel like a "just trust me bro."

Courtney is certainly not well, and at the risk of playing junior psychoanalyst, he probably never was and never will be. Ever. The Peet family made Damn sure of that. As misfortune would have it, Lily stands tall as one that had one of the largest hands in it. Hwaryun picking Bam over Rachel still did not stop Rachel from finding other helpers in FUG, and she only got these connections thanks to her earlier arrangement w Hwaryun

Khun has the Lo Po Bia Princesses but thats through favors, he does have one Family Leader fairly supportive of him w Gustang which is also insane but Gustang can change his mind if he feels like it. He doesn’t cuz he knows that Bam would never support him if he doesnt help Khun, that being said Gustang actually does respect Khun(and Endorsi) for beating Bellerie and getting to the last stage in the chess game. Yuri Ha Jahad would help Khun anytime thanks to his closeness to Bam but note that Khun doesn’t trust Yuri(I think theres no reason why he shouldn’t cuz Yuri gains NOTHING from supporting Bam and genuinely wants whats good for Bam so in theory the two could actually get along well since neither wants Bam to be used).

But Khun does get allies thanks to his intellect, people help him cuz they respect him. Rachel…I wonder why some characters help her, Yura Ha especially since Rachel treats her like shit.

remember in my part 3 and 5 i was talking about hierarchy? surprisingly, it continues past chapter 8 with kaite. and wolfwood. triangulating nyoom

(to be honest... ive been doing these read and analysis completely blind in a 1st JP read through. so its possible ill find new nuances, get things wrong as the context shifts and changes, so my stuff looks like its scattered all over the place. sorry about that.)

i think ill start explaining names and meanings. kaite's name in japanese is kaito. カイト. this can be a homonym with i think 怪盗 (kaitou) in this case, which means phantom thief. for trying to help Neon with stealing loot from the Sand Steamer.

^the headaches with manga translations has always been to keep texts short and reasonable for flow and readability, so these simplifications can and sometimes must happen.

Plant Synchronization downside.

....so theres a bad downside to vash synchronizing with the plant that i didn't catch. which also answers what the fuck was going on in tristamp when that version of him hits the ground

nightow mentions this in an interview, link here posted and transcribed by xoxo-otome (thank you!) that he likes action flicks and has incorporated a lot of action into his work. and its true. there is so much action in the form of sound effects.

reading through the entire manga and paying attention to the sfx peppered around offers a lot more context to whats happening in half of the panels that seemingly doesnt make sense

like this one where the top panel has "DADADADADA" sfx. so they're stomping down the corridor with their guns crossed and facing each other. the "GO OH" in the bottom panel emphasizes the sudden burst into open air. unfortunately, anyone who values their life and sanity in this economy will not want to translate trigun's sfxs 100%.

Meanwhile Barty never really lost his faith. Sure, over time he became bitter towards God, and the more he got to know Evan, the more he resented the almighty. Yet he still believed in the ground principles and teachings of the bible. When he hit rockbottom, Barty prayed to God because he knew no matter what, God would take him back. He didn't know how or if the entity ever listened, but he knew that if He did, He'd be there for Barty and help him. After getting close to Evan and occasionally consuming his blood, God would be able to communicate with Barty. This was the craziest turning point in his life. Now, everytime he prayed, he'd make sure god would listen and wait for answers and help. Barty knew that this relationship wasn't the way it was supposed to, he knew he should give more into it, but at the same time, there was no way he'd actually worship God. Getting advice? sure. believing his existence? Yes. But respecting it and active support? No. From week to week, Barty lost his trust more and more, and even though he'd never give it up completely, he dishonoured his extremely catholic family by breaking all the rules and not giving a fuck about morals.

But they figure it out at some point :) Yet, it makes him genuinely angry that Evan is becoming religious because of him. Why would the love of his life pray to the one entity that hurt him so much? God and their opposite views on him are some of their only fight points. While all Barty sees in God is a fake saviour who is lying through his teeth, Evan acknowledges His flaws, yet praises him for the good things. He doesnt care about breaking the rules - he's thankful for not being in jail and he's thankful for meeting Barty.

They both arent near perfect and neither of them has a "healthy" relationship to God, but I don't think that's possible in any universe.

Summary

Both versions of Rosekiller has one person that is more religious than the other one. While fallenangel!evan x priest!barty built on religion and wouldn't be able to exist without both of them being religious, there is no technical need for scientist!evan to become religious. vampire!barty might've showed him that hell is real, but there was no "real" reason for him to convert to Christianity, read the bible and confess. He knew that no matter what he did, he wasn't ready to change his behaviour for anything or anyone and would end up in hell anyway. I think, for him God was like a parental figure that had been missing his entire life, and before vampire!barty met him, scientist!evan knew he'd get no answer and wasn't even ready to try and become religious. But now that he could get an answer through vampire!barty, who showed him spells for contact, he felt like this was everything ever missing. A neglected child finally getting attention from the parent it needed his whole life.

Personal notes

The reason for Christianity/Catholicism being the only religion represented is because it was one I grew up with and I know the most about, also due to most of my friends being Christian. I would love to see people headcanon the skittles/marauders as other religions too, I simply didnt want to give misrepresentation.

after last post i started rly thinking about whether or not these guys are good enough for the second gen girls/are red flags or not so i put it in a list. wont be budging on this but i can offer an explaination under cut. coming from the perspective a woman who doesnt like men but has friends that do (an important detail. trust me)

Brady: easiest green flag and the only one! he’s sweet, he plays music, he makes tea, he rides horses, and his face is canonically unappealing so even if he cant fight, you’re probably still safe walking around with him. and even if you’re not, well, he’s a healer. you’ll be fine. 10/10 and once you get used to his face hes kind of cute. i think. if nothing else, he’s maribelle’s son, so he’s probably rich. get that bag, babe!

Owain: total sweetie, loyal, and would name his sword after you. take that as you will. unfortunately his mom won’t allow him to be a nepo baby so hes canonically broke as hell, and what little gold he does have will probably be spent on some of the ugliest jewelry you’ve ever seen. i hope you dont like peace and quiet. 7/10.

Yarne: he’s nice but he has the worst case of anxiety anyone has ever seen in their life so good luck with that. pros: can turn into a rabbit! cons: doesnt wear pants. but i dont judge what youre into. if you were in a horror movie he’d throw you in front of the killer and run. with some xanax he’ll be fine 6/10.

Morgan: debated whether or not i should rank him but were coming at this from a non robin perspective as im trying to pair off the second gen girls right now? so hes here. and unfortunately, favorite son status cant stop this guy from being towards the bottom half. he’s a sweetie for sure, but three months in and you’ll realize he’ll always love his mom more than you. -5000 points but my scale doesnt go that low. 4/10. might forget your name.

Inigo: well, he won’t cheat on you, but its not for lack of trying. 5’7 and really annoying about it. will abandon you for 5 years with the excuse “well this old man REALLY needed my help” get over yourself. his waist will be smaller than yours. 3/10.

Laurent: on the surface, he looks like an unassuming nerd boy. do not fall for it. thats how they get you. underneath all that cursive flowery talk you cant understand is a raging incel betting to be let loose. watch yourself. youre not gonna match his freak, babe, you cant even order extra fries with your sandwich. and!! his hat is stupid!!! 1/10.

Gerome:
