Dr. Robotnik between movies 2 and 3:

-Gained weight.

-Probably didn't shower.

-Hyperfixated on a spanish drama.

-Became a Twitch streamer.

Agent Stone between movies 2 and 3:

-Survived a massive fall unscathed.

-Smuggled Robotnik's broken body out of a place infested by armed soldiers.

-Probably stole the crab from GUN.

-Took care of Robotnik's injuries and likely had to perform surgery on him.

-Took care of food gathering and drone maintenance as Robotnik recovered, all while staying hidden from the goverment.

-Set up a livestream with fake viewers to make Robotnik feel better.

-Personally hunted down the rogue Badniks, without Robotnik even knowing of them.

Anyway I have a tiny head cannon that robotnik use a cane. Though I do have some more lore or info attached to it that I might explain in the future idk

Also I can’t draw people holding hands, it’s tricky TT

I know everyone's screaming and crying over this scene because of how heart breaking it is.

But can I point out, Agent Stone is hella strong?! He carried Robotnik on his shoulders through rubble for who knows how far. Robotnik who is both taller and heavier than Stone! That requires a shit ton of strength, stamina and balance!

Things I noticed in my Sonic 3 rewatch now its on digital

-Maria wearing the same goggles Ivo does when she's skating with Shadow

-The pod Shadow comes down is shaped like Black Doom's logo (which makes me think we're DEFINITELY getting that Shadow spin-off)

-Sonic echoing Maria's "look out!" during the Tokyo chase scene

-Stone and Knuckles' beef (gets me every time)

-The "No Grown Ups Allowed" sign in Maria and Shadow's room

-Shadow never learns Sonic's name...like ever.

-Gerald wearing the silver glasses he wears in the games during the Halloween part of the "Wouldn't it be Nice" Montage

-The icons used when they're talking about the London plan are the classic models of Tails, Sonic, and Knuckles.

-Sonic's fall when he's on top of the London Eye is the same fall when you get an E rank in Sonic Unleashed

-the arm Tom put in a sling for the Commander Walters disguise is the opposite of the one that gets hurt after Shadow punches him.

-You can see the wheels in Robotnik's head begin to turn when Gerald says "infusing the core with chaos energy"

-KNUCKLES IS FUCKING TEARY-EYED WHEN HE GOES TO SAVE SONIC AND TAILS, MY BOYYYYYYYYYY

-"I am having the love" being a callback to Knuckles saying "I am having the fun" in Sonic 2

-AMY'S LITTLE COCKED EYEBROW WHEN SHE MEETS SONIC AHHHH IM SO EXCITED FOR SONIC 4 LETS GOOOOOO

-I'm not entirely sure about this, but I'm pretty sure there's an orchestral version of "I Am...All of Me" playing as Shadow picks up his limiter ring in the end credit scene

The deleted livestream scene has some funny implications. It means that either:

This is an actual livestream with viewers despite Robotnik being a wanted criminal who's presumed dead.

All the viewers are bots and Stone set the whole thing up to make Robotnik feel better.

The funny thing about Dr. Robotnik being called Dr. Robotnik in the English localisation is that "Robotnik" is a real surname, but the localisers apparently had no idea – they just took the English word "robot" and stuck a vaguely Russian-sounding suffix on it because it was the Cold War and "vaguely Russian" was shorthand for "evil" in American popular culture. Dudes tried to lazily come up with a name that evokes "evil robot guy" and accidentally made him Polish.
