I'm so in love with the use of colours in this movie
When Shadow is with Maria the colours are either warmer or green to symbolise happiness and harmony
After she dies the colours around Shadow are darker and there is so much red because red is the color of love but also the colour of anger and danger
Here, both Shadow and Sonic are in the dark because they're both feeling the same pain and they are consumed by darkness
When they finally become friends and decide to do the right thing, the light shines on them
