there's something christian / catholic in all versions of my rosekiller. i dont care what earth this is, guys. you're having a deeply complicated relationship to god.

fallenangel!evan x priest!barty

Evan was supposed to deliever a message to some random priest. it was an honour to be allowed on earth as an angel, you had to be outstanding. The message read "dont trust those who dont even acknowledge the bad", and evan didnt really think about it too hard. But when events on earth were unfolding, he realized that God had been in his way the whole time. He was the one Barty wasn't supposed to trust. Luckily, Barty didn't give a fuck and from that day on, Evan wad filled by a deep hate by God. The almighty took Evan's whole life from him and tried to take away his one safety boat too. And this was supposed to be the one millions of people trust and love? No, Evan decided to never trust him again.

Meanwhile Barty never really lost his faith. Sure, over time he became bitter towards God, and the more he got to know Evan, the more he resented the almighty. Yet he still believed in the ground principles and teachings of the bible. When he hit rockbottom, Barty prayed to God because he knew no matter what, God would take him back. He didn't know how or if the entity ever listened, but he knew that if He did, He'd be there for Barty and help him. After getting close to Evan and occasionally consuming his blood, God would be able to communicate with Barty. This was the craziest turning point in his life. Now, everytime he prayed, he'd make sure god would listen and wait for answers and help. Barty knew that this relationship wasn't the way it was supposed to, he knew he should give more into it, but at the same time, there was no way he'd actually worship God. Getting advice? sure. believing his existence? Yes. But respecting it and active support? No. From week to week, Barty lost his trust more and more, and even though he'd never give it up completely, he dishonoured his extremely catholic family by breaking all the rules and not giving a fuck about morals.

vampire!barty x scientist!evan

Evan had never been religious, God was just a concept that people made up to feel better about themselves. But when he tried to summon a demon, his intention was to ask how the true god was like, so Evan could live and believe the truth. over time, his Catholicism increased steadily, despite the horrible things he did to others, he read and studied the bible, prayed and went to church / confession once a week. Because God was real, and even if Evan would go to hell for murder and torture, he'd get into the good parts of it, because trusted gods plan. He'd probably say smth like "Obviously i killed thay guy! Last night, god told me to do so, its all part of his plan!" and if someone said that was blasphemy, Evan would answer with "I'm allowed, im catholic".

Meanwhile Barty... you would say that since he's been to hell and is hyperaware of God's existence, he's catholic or at least satanic (after all he knows satan personally and can't talk to his hell-bestie on earth anymore) but no. He doesn't pray to anyone, and he won't ever start. He says he loathes God for taking his mother away from him and forcing him to be tortured all his life... At this point Evan doesn't know who Barty even is, so the whole time he's like "????". But they figure it out at some point :) Yet, it makes him genuinely angry that Evan is becoming religious because of him. Why would the love of his life pray to the one entity that hurt him so much? God and their opposite views on him are some of their only fight points. While all Barty sees in God is a fake saviour who is lying through his teeth, Evan acknowledges His flaws, yet praises him for the good things. He doesnt care about breaking the rules - he's thankful for not being in jail and he's thankful for meeting Barty.

They both arent near perfect and neither of them has a "healthy" relationship to God, but I don't think that's possible in any universe.

Summary

Both versions of Rosekiller has one person that is more religious than the other one. While fallenangel!evan x priest!barty built on religion and wouldn't be able to exist without both of them being religious, there is no technical need for scientist!evan to become religious. vampire!barty might've showed him that hell is real, but there was no "real" reason for him to convert to Christianity, read the bible and confess. He knew that no matter what he did, he wasn't ready to change his behaviour for anything or anyone and would end up in hell anyway. I think, for him God was like a parental figure that had been missing his entire life, and before vampire!barty met him, scientist!evan knew he'd get no answer and wasn't even ready to try and become religious. But now that he could get an answer through vampire!barty, who showed him spells for contact, he felt like this was everything ever missing. A neglected child finally getting attention from the parent it needed his whole life.

Personal notes

The reason for Christianity/Catholicism being the only religion represented is because it was one I grew up with and I know the most about, also due to most of my friends being Christian. I would love to see people headcanon the skittles/marauders as other religions too, I simply didnt want to give misrepresentation.

idk if it's only me but since yesterday, since i finished the last episode I feel so empty lmaoooo.... i was waiting for this season 2 for the last 2 years, and the last 60 days I counted the days, I was more than impatient because the show and the manga, tje characters and even the actors bring me so much comfort and helped me so much in my shitty life.

and now it's over.

well. maybe we'll have a episode bonus or two for Retry but I doubt about it :/ and I don't want a season 3 tbh, the joker card I just I interpret it like a second chance for the characters to live their life like they want to, like a restart. And not a phase 3 like a lot of non manga reader think.

Unless Aso Haro participates himself for season 3, as Oda does with the live action of One Piece, but I don't think it's a part of his plans and I hope that people will respect that it ends like this.

I think that Christmas makes me sad and more depressed too, I hate Christmas bc of my toxic family lol. and I can't do it alone unfortunately.

1. Does your character have good aim?

est's aim is- well, most of her stuff isn't aim in the sense of throwing or anything, and she's real good at aiming lightning n such. actual throwing aim or shooting aim it's not great, mostly for lack of practice. isedd is much better at thrown-aim than magic(ish)-aim, but most of that isn't precision-targeting so much as 'get sticky gourd close enough and it will work'. isena is mostly a melee warden, but she can aim when it counts. daedin? hunter, and not a trapper one. part of her job description tbh. glainyn? eh, he knows how to use a crossbow, but his thing is Run In And Hit It. helf trio? no like. across the board lol. silmeniel spends most of her time in libraries, halthel has been Sword Guy all his life, and silear took to the blade so much more than the shortbow she kinda-sorta learned growing up. decent enough aim to like. play catch or something, but not much more than that

8. Who has the worst luck?

mmm. honestly for most of my guys, their problems were things they walked into on purpose or else just very much not accidental. daedin maybe... she hasn't had a great time in mirkwood, historically. idk i don't think anyone is like. especially notable for bad luck

isedd is the closest, though mostly his knowledge comes from asking matwyn (eagle-friend!) or kar (a craban that matwyn bullied into hanging around isedd's cousin instead of staying with saruman) too many questions. silmeniel might have more technical knowledge, but it's not really her area of study very much

born as the youngest of two boys in a middle class family on feb 9, 2001 - aka he’s a twenty-one year old aquarius! ummm his brother is 6 years older & was always the more outgoing & ambitious of the two

has had anxiety since he was very young but didn’t get diagnosed until later in life, so there were a lot of questions regarding him? why he never played with the other kids, why he was so quiet, why he got so flustered/upset over teachers simply asking him questions in class when they KNEW he had the answer, etc

stuck to himself, got very “comfortable” in solitude tho i would still say he did want to be close to other people, but didn’t know where to start

super intelligent. didn’t do much aside from read & study, so he was always at the top of his class, made perfect grades. the people in his life expected really great things from him, often saying his brain was their ticket to better days - if he could work with his brain instead of his hands, he’d be golden

anyway! he was a mama’s boy, spent a lot of time with her & she always made him feel more normal abt himself or whatever...

lost his mom when he was around ~13, retreated even further into his shell and his grades started slipping. never really came back up

he did sorta cope by fucking around with a guitar she’d left behind and this was the beginning of his love for music ^^^

ummm fast forward! he started making his own music, built up a small following on tiktok under the username “bugluvr3000″ where he tease/s/d snippets of songs he was working on & posted covers - not super active on tt right now because he’s trying to focus on “real life” and take a break from sns... has taken to busking locally tho!

he hardly graduated high school tbh so his family kinda thought he burnt out and that he wouldn’t get into college but he’s currently enrolled in [university tbd, not a good school really so no biggie] as a biology student. not suuuuper passionate abt education, really just went because he felt like he had to and because he knows he can’t count on music to pay his bills - w his current career path, he’s aiming to be an entomologist (bug scientist)

still pretty nervous & introverted, but he’s in a healthy, committed relationship that has helped him feel more grounded / confident and he’s working on feeling capable as an individual too! therapy every other thursday y’all

if anyone’s curious abt his music, i’m drawing reference from goopy & boyhood! he des experiment w his sound quite a bit in private, has many many many demos on his laptop that will never see the light of day because they’re underpolished and overplayed but idk i think he’s really trying to find his niche

his anxiety is a big part of the reason why his music hasn’t actually taken off yet - he does busk & he occasionally posts his songs online, but when he starts doubting himself, he goes through “dry spells” where he won’t perform and he deletes most of his stuff. insecurity holds him back for suurrre but also i mean it’s not like he’s the next justin bieber or anything

works part-time jobs here & there to keep the bills paid. gravitates towards oddball jobs like costumed mascot work, setting pins at bowling alleys, cleaning rollerskating rinks - anything that’s to-the-point and not super social. can’t hold a job, has gone through 37 job interviews (and counting) and still gets nervous every time.

working on being more social. goes to parties/goes clubbing on occasion but 9/10 times he gets overwhelmed and has a breakdown in the bathroom so yknow it’s really just self-sabotage at this point!?!?!?

5 on ao3, but really four because i listed the marvel ones in general MCU and the specific fandom. they are supernatural, what we do in the shadows, downton abbey, and thor. HOWEVER i have written for several and either didn’t publish those fics anywhere or posted them to sites before ao3 started and lost track of them lol. i think probably 8-10 total?

yes!!! in part i respond because i love comments and i feel like responding to them encourages people to comment more, but mostly i respond because it gives me a chance to talk about the fic! when people pull out stuff i did on purpose to comment on, it’s really exciting to get to give the commenter a little more information about why i did that. and when they pull out something i didn’t even realize i was doing, i want to react to what they said and appreciate having something about my own writing called to my attention. i have probably failed to respond to a comment or two but i really do try and want to respond to all of them :D

i don’t...crossovers don’t particularly appeal to me usually. i don’t often think of ideas for them.

aaahahaa ok no i have not (fingers crossed for it staying that way!!!) but i DID get a comment on a supernatural fic that was essentially someone going on a strange, aggressive rant about theological justifications for misogyny that were loosely related to the fic in question? that is also the only comment i’ve ever removed from a fic...

Do you write smut? If so what kind?

yee. idk if any particular kind? i don’t really enjoy writing smut tbh but i do sometimes just because i have some idea that i want to express that necessitates some sexy shenanigans. typically when i write smut it’s uhhh odd in one way or another? a bit creepy and/or unsettling? because that’s the vibe i enjoy writing. the weirdness makes it more entertaining for me to write than the sex does :p as a result it’s probably not very hot but you know, whatever lmao

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

gawddd yeah...the thing informally known as the adversary-lawboy tapes is #1 on this list. i have a bunch of snippets of sam n lucifer chit chatting and generally having a weird time in sam’s head throughout s5 and especially in the interval between the “yes” and stull cemetery, but there’s no way i’ll ever actually turn it into anything solid. i’d also love to finish the fic in which gabriel acts like a sickly god and does a bunch of very sketchy things but again, there’s no way i’ll ever do it. RIP. 

fortunately neither of those is public so it doesn’t matter to anyone but me that they’ll stay WIPs forever :p

i keep not actually writing anything!!! lmao but ok other than that i sometimes try to convey something too complicated without enough explanation. i also often write these really obnoxious sentences that you have to read the end of to understand the beginning...my thoughts are not at all linear lol. i do TRY to fix these things whilst editing but...i’m sure they still happen :/ 

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

i usually don’t because i assume most readers won’t understand it and i don’t want to make people skip around the page for the translation. i’ll do it if it’s short and is more of an easter egg than a crucial line, or if it’s a quote from something else.

you know...maybe “Mr Barrow Has The Flu” (linked above). i feel like i really landed all the emotional beats in that, and did daisy right. i’m also very pleased with Drawn and Quartered (spn, T). there’s another spn fic i wrote during my first pass through the fandom that i think about often but i won’t say what it is because i think about lines in isolation but am not that satisfied with the fic as a whole hahhaha

march - just some thoughts

i have read more this month than any other month? and its not slowing down its only 3/12 so i have 2/3 of a month to go and i’ve read 26 chapters. even if these chapters are ‘short’ at 10 pages, if i wanna count by ‘20 page’ chunks i’ve still read 13 chunks so far. and i’ve still got more time in the month left. most other months i’ve managed to read ‘a lot’ i read 10-20 chapters. so i’m doing really good.

grammar is a weird thing? in reading i feel like its quite easy now to understand. when listening or watching - same. and yet if asked ‘why do i say/type X’ or ‘why is it written/spoken like X’ i have absolutely no explanation in my head. i could not explain the grammar if prompted. this puts me in a weird place and i feel like i SHOULD go over a grammar guide again just so i can WORD what i’m intuitively understanding.

this is a bit bizarre to me because within the first 6 months of study i DID read through an entire grammar guide just to get an idea of what i was about to look at, and it hardly made sense once actually reading/watching/listening. i understood the guide fine, but actually Seeing chinese i was still confused. i would reference AllSetLearning’s Chinese Wiki on some basic points, then after 6 months i just stopped. now its been what 1.5 years and - reading is so easy, listening is so easy, grammar wise. none of the grammar confuses me. but i no longer ‘explicitly’ have any idea what the fuck the grammar is. i used to. i studied it explicitly before trying to read/listen. and yet now that i can read/listen, i have no idea how to explain the grammar. i can listen to a podcast and i don’t think about what the grammar is i just get it. i read and just know what i’m looking at. its like english - i cannot fucking explain it. Which makes speaking/writing a bit hard. Because when i try to check if i’m right i have no fucking clue HOW anymore - i just say/write what comes to mind and HOPE it makes sense. i have no way to conciously check for errors except ‘does this feel right’? And that’s not good enough for me lol. So I definitely do need to eventually read a grammar guide for explicit explanations again.

Technically I think “English and Chinese Grammar Side By Side” grammar book would be an excellent one to use. Because i read the first 50 pages of it and it compared it to english (so it explained english too), and it was very easy to understand and started basic then got more involved. 

I’m probably gonna use my very old Chinese Grammar Self Taught by Thimm book instead. Just because I really like that book. Then I guess use another after (probably Basic Chinese Sentence Patterns since its modern and perfect for ‘catch your own mistakes’ study and much shorter than Eng+Chinese Grammar side by side). 

Anyway I’m in a very weird place right now lol. I know i’m understanding grammar that is stuff I never even studied initially in the grammar guide, but unable to explain what it is, and a lot of stuff i did explicitly study in a grammar guide i completely forgot the explanation for. My reading and listening is GREAT, because all my effort only has to go into learning new words lately! its relaxing! Its the only part i need to do! But my writing/speaking i am very concerned about because being able to check myself for mistakes is something i’d like the ability to do.

how grammar is presented really makes a difference in how well i get it. there is some serious benefit to ‘show simple first then build up what you know’ that text books tend to prefer. versus like grammar reference books that may start with some in depth stuff.

i tried to read a japanese grammar guide the other day and 1 it was great but 2 it covered some ADVANCED stuff i never learned in genki 1+2, and so it was Explicit grammar description of stuff i had literally years ago been immersing in japanese and Still not conciously known about. So i felt. Overwhelmed lol. I felt so confused. I feel like I might switch to Tae Kim’s grammar guide primarily just because its structured with basics covered first. and i feel like until the basics are again glued into my brain, seeing even more advanced stuff just confused me so much i had no idea how to remember it. which is funny because? my usual strategy with grammar guides is to just read it and let what sticks stick and what is confusing be moved on from, in the hope i will later see it again and understand it better. so like based on what i usually do i should’ve just been able to read through it (and i’m gonna try anyway lol). but truly japanese grammar just... my mind does not like wrapping around it and remembering it. (chinese grammar is so much easier for me... so much easier....;-; )

i have been tempted to just Restart Nukemarine’s LLJ (Lets Learn Japanese) memrise decks, because I KNOW they worked for me last time really really well. And they include Tae Kim grammar lessons. And I know if i did it then maybe i’d get back to where i was years ago pretty fast.

I tried Earthlingo app. Its a cool idea, I don’t think its worth it though unless you planned to get Rosetta Stone (since Earthlingo is FREE). Earthlingo features 1000 words per language, taught to you by exploring video game worlds as an alien. Its a cool concept, but since all words seem to be nouns then you aren’t even learning the most common verbs/adjectives. And 1000 words is not a lot. And you could learn 1000 quite fast if using srs flashcards like Memrise or Anki (think weeks if you push yourself, and a month or two months if going at a regular pace). Earthlingo you have to slowly explore the worlds so that eats time, you have to choose to test yourself (so you don’t review nearly as often as flashcard apps), and one test includes walking around the world clicking the object which you’re given the word for (takes time to find the right object). All this means a word that might take maybe 15 minutes to study over a few weeks, might instead take much longer to study and learn. I don’t use duolingo because it generally covers so few words (usually 2000-4000 i think which is good for a beginner resource but you have to do the WHOLE course to get to all those words and i take so long on duolingo that could take YEARS for me versus a month on a flashcard app or clozemaster). Duolingo I also don’t use because it very slowly paces learning material (it takes me months/years to get through 1000 words on duolingo - just personally i go so slow on it, i think faster people would find a use for it). Likewise Lingodeer takes me AGES to get through (and i think covers 2000 words nowadays? I’m shocked Duolingo has more words for the japanese course tbh). However, Lingodeer is by far the best ‘app’ for Japanese grammar lessons in app practice form. Even if basically all the apps feel pretty slow to me in how fast they give you new info. Earthlingo is cool that its free, and for learners 12 and under i think it would be super useful as a way to engage them and keep them studying (since what child likes flashcards? whereas as a child i would’ve loved this). But as an adult Earthlingo is sooooo slow on how fast you can learn words, and it does not even offer very many words (1000 is a nice bare minimum but without verbs/adjectives it can only be a supplementary learning tool for beginners at best).

ToT (A tip, read Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced sections). Last time I visited the site you just clicked a section, then saw each fully explained grammar point and clicked ‘next’ it was nice. Now its laid out a little less ideal for me, but its still got all the same nice info! (Also honestly if you are a beginner I really DO like this grammar guide... it introduces basic info first, gradually gets more complex, and i could follow its logic knowing like 200 hanzi and 100 words ToT. its very easy to understand even if it takes a while to apply that info).

im probably gonna read hanshe more today. i’m at the point where either i know enough vocab, or the writers style has just ‘clicked’ idk. but now i just am not getting bogged down by unknown words and am just. speeding through enjoying the plot. Also rip me this novel has 155 chapters and im only on chapter 30.

watching japanese lets plays is really fun! i feel like im 3 years old cause i just see nouns i can learn pretty easy in context cause i know the game well, and hear some vaguely familiar verbs, but its fun! also it helps i know kingdom hearts 2 like by heart so. a lot of it makes me instantly cheerful and nostalgic. roxas’s voice is so cute in the japanese version.

oh i almost forgot: I found a book recently for chinese that for it’s like 10 page grammar guide summary at the beginning ALONE i think is more than worth the 4 dollars it costs to get. It has a ton of compound words and its a reference book in mandarin and cantonese (it has pronunciation for both, all characters are in traditional). I got it initally because it as a bunch of compound words and I’d like to get better at knowing a lot of common ones. But the intro to the book has a page explaining sentence structures in chinese, then examples. Its so straightforward and to the point. I love it. The book is “Understanding Chinese: A Guide to the Usage of Chinese Characters” by Rita Mei-Wah Choy. (There is also a companion book for individual hanzi, which is nice but this book specifically I’m finding more useful).

what i really like about Listening-Reading method, and reading, as study activities: no matter how I do them it is only improvement. I have a tendency to ‘redo’ material i don’t feel i fully mastered, or refuse to move on. So when i have duolingo, flashcards (sometimes i can move on if i ignore reviews/make myself do new stuff), books, grammar guides, self guided classes - i have a tendency to redo the material. over and over. and not progress and challenge myself. whereas with reading - every time i look up a word its useful because its new or something i clearly Need to review (not something i’ve actually learned and can move past reviewing). so whether i reread material or read new stuff, as long as i run into things i find somewhat challenging (feel the desire to word look up), i know i am running into new material i can learn. Same with listening-reading method: whether i finish a book or just skip to random books, any new chapter i do will give me new words to learn/remember (until i’ve reached a point of perfect listening comprehension which is a WAYS away). There’s no way for me to mess it up. I can give up a book im bored with, i don’t have to stick to one resource to the end.

24) Dream Job: Being an actress. It simply is my passion. Right now I am studying social work though (which I like too) but I am trying to do some acting on the side because seriously when I am infront of a camera I just feel like that’s where I belong. I just did some filming in May and June and when I was on set I realized that I haven’t been that happy and didn’t feel that much like myself since years and even if it’s just a no budget movie for now it’s like one step closer to my dream. Also I could totally imagine working part time as a social worker but also doing acting jobs because it would certainly put some pressure off if I’d have a steady income and can just choose whatever projects I like without necessarily having to earn a living with it (not that I’d complain lol)  :D

Maybe “Die jungen Ärzte” (= ”The young doctors”) It’s a german medical drama series maybe you could compare it to Grey’s Anatomy just less dramatic and with more happy endings :D anyway I just love that series and the actors and the characters and I’d really like to live in that universe just so I could for once have such caring and nice doctors treating me who’d magically find a solution for my chronic illness just like they always do on TV :D

Bee!! Tell me more about The Lady! What does she fear the most?? Does she have any hobbies/comfort activities aside from Magic and kicking ass? Is she the kind of person that can be turned to for advice or is she normally the one seeking the advice?? - 💙

!!!!!! TY TY, I’m ready to explode chatting abt her

She fears huge things like letting her loved ones down, losing them bc she wasn’t strong enough to save them specifically, and becoming like her parents. She also fears her inability at times to admit what she’s feeling and that wounds her. Lastly, she fears getting stuck playing a role in Asgard that isn’t her, not being able to live as her best self, esp when she starts courting a Prince and getting involved with Asgardian royalty//politics. Gods are a commonplace, she doesn’t want to get lost in the ranks either!

Magic and being a warrior admittedly become her life so a lot of her side hobbies just branch from those!! Homegirl is on that training ground EVERY DAY with different weapons though she prefers light swords/archery. She does pick up tasks in the healing room under Frigga’s eye as a breech into the world of Magic and it gets her higher in rank to leave her uh....bad home life. Collecting potion ingredients is v peaceful to her.

She picks up Loki’s thirst for knowledge && study tbh, not just magic, really anything is a curiosity to her. Inventing, taking apart, and enchanting magical artifacts become fun thing. When she’s a bit older, training/protecting younger generations becomes her thing too. Also :))) dancing is a beloved thing to her.

The Lady spends miles of time in the palace’s public library && has this fav spot under a willow tree by a pond that she enjoys reading by. She loves, even as an adult, to climb trees!!! Half the time Loki finds her int he library, she’s perched high on the shelves like a cat lol But Knowledge~~~  On Midgard esp, she wants to learn everything about everything so that really gets exciting!

IDK if this counts as a hobby but when she gets bolder in life....pissing off powerful characters with snark....that’s fun for her. She and Odin really throw some hands at each other when she stops idealizing Him/Frigga/Asgard after Loki’s fall. ((Also banter between her & Thanos lmaooo she will remind him at every opportunity that he will never impress Death))

She is ALWAYS someone ppl go to for advice to the point of like....maybe a harmful degree bc she’s afraid of her emotions so she’s spent a lot!! She feels maybe a little used at times. Of course, that gets better with time esp when she & Loki fess up to feelings. The Lady gets esp open with humans. But, she’s kinda this person ppl consider an old soul and they take advantage, maybe without realizing. 💋💋💋💖💖💖

a random thought: the community fandom, or this little circle of it, is the first online fandom community (ha) I've really been ACTIVE in in years, and honestly? it’s pretty great

An unpopular opinion: I've said I ship annie/britta but tbh during the time covered on the show I pretty much just “ship” it an “annie is definitely attracted to britta” way rather than as an actual relationship, largely because, well, i’m around annie’s age and I wouldn’t be comfortable dating someone britta’s age right now (is this actually unpopular? idk) 

My Canon OTP: it’s not TRULY canon but damnit i’ll say trobed. it should have been canon.

fandoms: I’m a little bit intimidated when I see everyone here sharing war stories about other fandoms, but Good Girls is my first and only fandom! And I literally got signed up on tumblr 6 weeks ago!!

I did go through an obsessive phase about Emma Peel from the 60s TV show The Avengers a few years ago though, and it’s the only other fandom that I barely approached (I read a couple of fanfictions, but I wouldn’t say that I was involved in the fandom).

Oh no, wait! I did read some Crazy Ex Girlfriend fanfics too and share memes about that show once in a while, does it count?

number of fics: 12! But that’s mainly because of my season 3 one-shots series tbh.

fic i spent the most time on: Mhhhh.... Tough question! I was gonna say Love and War because in my memory it lasted for months and months, but actually... not at all!! It’s currently Love of the Game, which took me 4 months to finish, but It’s All Coming Back To Me will soon celebrate its 4 months of existence and is not finished yet... Gosh, my writing reaaaaaaally slowed down!!

fic i spent the least amount of time on: Probably one from my one-shots series, I remember that I wrote He’s not Dumb over a lazy morning at work and had it posted by noon so it’s probably the quickest I’ve ever been haha!!

most hits: Love and War, but probably because it’s the oldest one. It’s All Coming Back To Me is the one with the highest growth rate at the moment (I love datas and stats comparisons...) and it has already broken a few records so I wouldn’t be surprised that it’ll eventually end with the most hits too.

most kudos: While Your Lips Are Still Red (which also has the second highest hits number). Turns out people are more eager to leave kudos on cute flirtatious fake-dating Brio than angsty shooting aftermath. I don’t understand that.

most comment threads:  Love and War, but It’s All Coming Back To Me is currently two comments away from taking the first place, and since there are still at least two chapters to be added to the latter, I’m pretty confident that it will end up as the most commented (please don’t take it as a challenge and boycott my comment section on It’s All Coming Back To Me from now on, okay??!!)

highest total word count: Love and War, logically because it has the largest number of chapters, but also because I tend to write now in a more concise style than I used to? I’m trying anyway!

favorite fic i wrote: I kinda love them all!! But I have a special fondness for A Reason To Fight because the Rio POV in the third chapter is still one of the things I wrote that I’m the most proud of. And also it was my catharsis fic that I wrote in a moment when I was really stressed out before season 3 and I really like, you know, put all my feelings inside and then I felt better?

Four Seasons In One Day is also one of my favourite because it was the first time I was trying to really find a unique voice for a character and build a whole character study around it. And maybe it’s because of the crossover with Graceland (although I feel like the whole gg fandom is familiar with that show now), or maybe I posted it with a bad timing, or it’s because it doesn’t contain a lot of Brio, idk, but remember when I said that It’s All Coming Back To Me was breaking records? Well, Four Seasons In One Day is the EXACT opposite of that, it holds the lowest record in every category!! I mean even my s3 one-shots had at least three times more hits! So y’know, I have this specific fondness for the unloved child with this fic because I’m actually proud of it, and I’m okay with the fact that not so many people read it, it just makes me love that fic even more.

fic i want to rewrite/expand on: Probably the ending of Love of the Game. This fic was a nightmare and it got so difficult to write that at some point I just wanted to get finished with it before S3 started because I wasn’t sure I could finish it once the season would air. So I rushed myself, a lot, and the epilogue tastes a bit like botched? So maybe sometime I’ll get back to it and flesh out this fic with the proper ending it deserves.

I’ve also been recently toying with the idea of adding a 5th chapter to A Reason To Fight too. This fic has always been conceived as a four-parts work and I would hate to destroy the balance I found for it (also I love the ending I gave it) but I’ve got something drafted already so I’ll see where it takes me.

share a bit of a wip or story idea you’re working on: So I guess that now is a good time to tease a bit about my crossover idea with Crazy Ex Girlfriend haha!! I had actually started to write it, but then season 3 came and punched me in the face and I need a specific light and funny headspace to write this, but basically it would be a story with loosely connected chapters starting with Rebecca needing money for her pretzel shop and ending up working for Rio’s gang. Eventually all the characters would meet and it would be a merry mess. (and distance is fake so travels between West Covina and Detroit are like, not an issue...)

He squints when he parks his car, checks the address like three times but there's no mistake. Da fuck? A pretzel shop? Is that a joke? He clenches his jaw, hard, his time is fuckin' valuable, he ain't comin’ all the way here to eat ironic SoCal pretzels. His annoyance slightly flows down, though. Meh, he shrugs. He's here now, he might as well get in.

He definitely wasn't ready for the busty brunette who lets out a high-pitched squeal when he enters the shop. She literally jumps at him like a flying squirrel or some shit, her face quite not hiding her over-excitement.

"Oh my God, this is real, this is happening, I can't believe this is happening, are you...?" she asks without even breathing once.

Christ, what now? He's had enough crazy suburban bitches shit with Elizabeth and her stupid crew for the rest of his life. He ain't going back there, no way. But right now he needs a new distribution system. And it's not like there aren't a couple of miles separating Detroit from this crappy place. Luckily, he won't have to physically interact with this loon no more. That's what his boys are for. So he tries to keep his cool, even risks a slightly amused chuckle.

"Am I what?" he drawls, putting a whole show in the dangerous gangbanger style, the one that always make Elizabeth roll her eyes cuz she knows, well, the other side of him.

"The gangbanger," she loudly hisses with a conspirator glance all around her.

Which is terribly useless since the shop is completely empty except for the two of them. He resists his urge to yawn, bored already. That juvenile excitement somehow reminds him of Elizabeth's young sister, and having to endure one of these on a regular basis is more than enough. He rolls his eyes.

"Yeah, you know what? I think this was a mistake. I don't deal with bitches who think this is a kids game."

He spins around on his toes but she immediately grabs his arm, her voice switching to an anxious mood quicker than he thought was humanly possible.

"Wait wait wait! I'm sorry, I don't know how that... thing works, but I really need the money. Also, we should really have a talk about offensive terms describing women. But my point is, can we... start over? I'll make it profesh this time."

He glances at her with curiosity while she takes a few steps back, closes her eyes and inhales deeply before she reopens them.

"Okay," she mutters under her breath before she placates a corporate smile on her face and goes for a handshake, "Hi! I'm Rebecca Bunch. You must be Rio."

mousse. i actually have no idea what to expect from his route but what i do know is that his current position as a diplomat bothers me in a lot of ways lmao! but anyway… naturally we should be getting details on why he left the red army in the first place, so maybe on that side i do wish we’d get more insight on the workings of the red army, i guess? not that i’m expecting something super detailed or anything (tho it would be great if cybird feeds us with details), but for starters, maybe something more concerning the chosen bloodline - for instance, how did it come to be that for the red army, those thirteen certain families are the only ones strictly allowed to fill in that one position in the chosen ranks??? do relatives or family branch members count??? additionally, is mousse the first case of someone stepping down / refusing to take over their designated rank??? i’d like to think that he isn’t, but then again i maybe wrong???

alternatively… maybe mousse’s route could fill in some bit of cradle lore too? lmao i mean he is a diplomat and alice is a ‘visitor’, so he’s the best suitor to fit in the role of a tour guide. maybe a little more idea on how cradle works as an actual country, bc god i can’t even imagine how it functions properly. who knows, maybe he actually knows about that abandoned building in the forbidden forest + why it’s there in the first place. maybe he can actually elaborate the background of the goddamn 500 year conflict. if he actually does, bless my soul.

on relationships… while mousse is neutral but a former red, i imagine we’ll be seeing more of the ra guys rather than the ba, maybe… that’s fine with me since i’m interested in learning more about his relationship with lancelot, and maybe how he interacts with kyle + edgar since we already have a general idea of how he is around jonah + zero. but since the neutral faction has increased now, i’d like it if most of his interactions would involve more of his fellow neutrals. they need more screentime.

and finally, romantically… man, that ‘love at first sight… or is it?’ bit on his profile really gets me. oh, i will be ridiculously happy if that whole ‘love at first sight’ thing is interpreted as just sheer interest on mousse’s part. he’s in love with the visitor from the land of reason, with alice the second who hails from the same land as the first alice. he’s in love with the thought of her, a person who lives in a world so different from his own…but has he ever seen alice the second as the woman she is, as another human being??? this is probably unlikely to happen as mousse doesn’t seem too cold as a character but OOOOHHHHH I’D LOVE TO HAVE A TWIST（○□○）

tl;dr: a focus on red army history / more expository stuff on cradle. a toss between mousse interacting with the ra + neutrals, preferrably more of the latter. if cybird pulls a surprising twist / interpretation on mousse’s ‘love at first sight’ for alice, then i will LIVE.

dean. for starters, i’d like a little more understanding on how the boarding school he works in operates haha… i get it’s open to all regardless of status (red/black, noble/commoner maybe?), but what type of school is it, is it a regular one or a military academy of sorts??? if it’s a military type, to what extent are the students trained - basic combat/magic or are there advanced classes or all that shebang??? from what age are you able to enroll in it??? who runs it??? probably someone from the neutral faction / government itself but seriously speaking, is this the only school available in cradle??? if you’re wondering why i think that, i just find it odd that two different factions that have been in constant conflict still send their kids to study in that one school where anyone and everyone is accepted… i’d imagine the red side isn’t so happy about this more than the black side is, but maaaybe it’s a government-mandated / treaty / pact thing??? tbh i’m still on the fence on those ideas since there’s a lot more questions that would arise from that but… yeah. just… details, pls _(:3」∠)_ oh, more bonus points if we get more info about the day everything went dark!

anyway… dean being a professor appears underwhelming but it’s pretty interesting to take into account that he probably trained all(?) of them army suitors so… personally i’d be interested if there’s your teacher vs. student(s) fight scenes lmao. preferrably with dean still able to hold his own. bonus points if he taunts his opponent in the process with words like ‘i see you’ve forgotten your fundamentals’ or something haha! even more bonus points if we get dean/alice fighting the forces of evil magic disciples together!!! oh, that would be so good.

it would be fun if dean’s the type to subtly poke his former students with their dark history past mistakes when he sees them / needs them to settle down or smth. maybe he has dirt on someone like luka (and no, it isn’t about him feeding birds on the rooftop lmao). maybe he’s the only one who can make sirius & lancelot feel nervous easily, holy shit. but again, as dean’s a neutral, i’d prefer his interactions to involve more of his fellow neutrals. especially dalim. though that might be a given considering their relationship. i will greatly appreciate seeing more of the tweedle twins dynamic. even more if it turns out that the main conflict/antagonist of their individual routes happens not to be amon, but their other half and it’s not because of alice. AHHHHHH ( ･ᴗ･̥̥̥ )

idk what dynamic they’re gonna shoot for with dean & alice, but i do hope it doesn’t give off your ‘teacher-student’ vibes aha…… considering how dean’s personality appears so far though, i’d like to think that a slow burn would be fitting for them…? maybe something similar to lancelot’s where the conflict is given more focus than the romance itself.

tl;dr: background on the school + the day everything went dark. teacher vs. student(s) fight scenes + dean/alice fighting duo. dean being lolz evulz to his former students. tweedle twins drama, bless. if dean/alice gives off the teacher-student dynamic, well… can’t say i didn’t see that coming.

dalim. oh boy, while i’m trying hard not to expect anything for now, i can’t help but pray for something good with dalim. i think he has the best potential among the new three since he’s only (or first) suitor in an actual antagonistic position - he knows it, he accepts it, and he’s still going with it. if cybird handwaves a redemption arc for him thru the flimsy power of kira-kira labu (or friendship), i will be very, very, very disappointed. seriously.

anyway, there’s a lot of question marks surrounding him that i want answered but of course, more dirt on the magic tower. perhaps whatever details about the tower that they failed to address in harr’s route they can add + elaborate here, though i really wouldn’t mind knowing more nitty gritty on the human experimentation bit. then there’s the matter about the regression magic he developed. though maybe all before that detailed stuff, maybe some background about how dalim came to be a magic disciple would be good. and how and why he manages a pub on the side. origin stories are a must.

not gonna lie though - i’m more interested in his social life, his relationship with amon the first priority. how long has he known amon, did he approach amon or was it the other way around, when did he start serving amon, do amon and he have similar goals, how ‘loyal’ is he to amon, was he already amon’s subordinate when amon killed his father, did he help amon kill his father, why does he even serve such a guy in the first place... yeah, all that and more. hopefully those are going to be addressed. then there’s dean... if dalim’s goals + ambitions are purely for the sake of his older twin, i’m gonna cry a river. even moreso if his determination is so strong that he still chooses dean over his kira-kira labu for alice. now if cybird really does pull that off, consider me IMPRESSED. HOT DAMN.

them aside, in general his relationship tree seems complicated... he has strained relationships with harr + zero + loki + oliver, though it seems that he and harr still can seem to hold ‘conversations’ with each other... lancelot + seth don’t like him... idk if he was already involved in the day everything went dark operation, but if he was then ray + fenrir would definitely knock him down... lmao that’s a lot of hostility there, and that’s as dalim. as dum, zero + ray + fenrir + oliver are still wary of him haha! well, i hope his interactions with the rest of the cast will fare better / some of those relationships may not be as strained as they seem???

and the romance... since dalim’s human experimentation is a step farther and darker than edgar’s history of murder, there is no way you are going to make me swallow the possibility that he could go down the same route and be pardoned by cradle through trial. or in any way going to be redeemed + forgiven / set free quickly. no, i won’t accept it either if amon does something similar to a claudius and suddenly decides to say that he pulled dalim along for the ride (rather, i’d be furious). ends i’ll accept are dalim himself demanding for or receiving proper judgement for his actions. the feelings between dalim and alice are there & acknowledged, sure, but sadly regardless of what ending they physically cannot be together.

too angsty??? maybe it is, since i personally feel that his situation has the potential to feel more... well, military/war-fitting than the other suitors. i’m not hoping for that scenario simply because i want that extreme angst + drama, but rather because it somehow doesn’t sit right with me that someone so goal-focused, someone who seems to have walked down the wrong path of his own volition, who stated himself that he isn’t human and won’t let ethics stand in his way (zero’s route), would allow himself to be easily forgiven for all that he had done. it’s like a disservice. believe me, i like redemption arcs. but for something severe like what dalim dabbled in for what seemed like years... redemption almost sounds too kind.

i hope whatever they have planned for dalim would appear reasonable and satisfying, both to how they will portray his character and to the plot of his route as a whole.

tl;dr: more magic tower info. his history with amon. tweedle twins drama, bless. more insight into his relationship tree. cybird, dalim/alice’s foe yay has potential, pls don’t mess it up.....

Black!!

2. Would you prefer to live in the country or in the city?

ahhh i don’t know! i’ve lived in a city for most of my life but went to university in a much quieter area so it’s really hard to decide! I prefer towns, I think (small city center, old buildings, hanging lights, but also nature and greenery and rivers and hills and trees 😍😍) 

3. If you could learn a new skill, what would it be?

Asdfhjkl there are so many things I want to learn !!! I can play the piano but I really wish I was better ✨✨. And languages! LANGUAGES. There are so many languages I want to learn it’s an entirely unfeasible dream but I just want to read everything and translations just aren’t the same as originals, you know? (including Elvish, obviously, because Quenya/Sindarin are just so beautiful and they actually just sound like what they mean, you can hear the feeling and I love that so much). I wish I could bake (I tried making pound cake with dried fruit and let’s just say I was disappointed 😂😂😂). And do origami. And art (I can’t draw to save my life, but I’d love to be able to. I keep seeing scenes from movies or just pretty landscapes or imagining things from books and I want to draw them and I can’t). On the flip side of the spectrum, I like read and learn new things about science, too. Biochemistry and plants and physiology and the like. Haven’t read that stuff in ages, and there is no need for me to read them now, but I enjoy it :)

Nope! Tea only, and no milk or sugar 😊🍵

Does 12 years old fall within the boundary of childhood? If it does, then Lord of the Rings 😆😆. Other than that, hmm, it’s hard to choose. Gaiman’s Ocean at the End of the Lane was the last ‘children’s’ book I read (it’s been 7 years; I still love it). In primary I had a huge mystery phase and loved The Boxcar Children and A Series of Unfortunate Events. And Narnia (though I didn’t finish the series) !! Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Little House series was also one of my favorites 🌲👧🏻

6. Do you prefer baths or showers?

I like both :) Baths are a treat though, I usually just shower

Not sure...I think I once took a quiz and got ‘faun’? I want to be an Elf in Middle Earth most though! Or a hobbit 🍏🍊

Paper books all the way!! I read with a pencil in hand and if I can’t annotate it just doesn’t feel right

Yup, I like it! It means butterfly. My mom picked it because it was invented by Jonathan Swift for his book ‘Cadenus and Vanessa’ (she said ‘it has character’; do i have character??? who knows but it’s easy to come up with nicknames for my name which makes me happy)

Don’t know if this counts, but I met a few people a couple years older than me through litsoc at uni and they really made me think/unknowingly taught me so much

No idea...not in a drastically different way I guess. I would still want to study, and I’d want a job too. It’d just feel safer I guess - like I wouldn’t have to worry about buying a house or anything. And I’d definitely travel more
