a Bruce Wayne of around 40 years old….

yep, think about it…

at that time Dick (the oldest son) must be between 25 and 30 years old…

but let's not write the classic story of love, action and saving the world of Bruce…

no, let's write about the reaction of the Batkids to discover the secret romance of their father with who they thought would be their new brother/sister…. yep, the chaos that would be if instead of an adoption certificate, they were shown a marriage certificate…

and of course let's not forget the reaction of the media about the new spouse….

You of course do not have to go into the specifics, but I’ve been curious as to how much of a living I could make from making comics? That’d be the dream, but I feel like itd be almost unrealistic for my cost of living. Do you rely on your work to support you 100%? Would u recommend roommates, at the least? lol

It really depends.

I live in the USA in Delaware, and the cost of living is pretty high here.

I have 3 roommates, and we split rent/utilities/groceries 4 ways. It would be unfeasible here to live alone, at least on what I make from patreon.

I don't want to be discouraging, but I think generally, it is unrealistic to support yourself solely on patreon without roommates, in this economy. But you'll never know unless you try, plenty of people manage to do it! I worked a warehouse job along side comicing for quite a few years before I decided to pursue comics full time.

Lil' Update

I got about 50 people who reached out to be involved as guest artists, and narrowed that down to 42! That's a lot of people!

I'd like to try to involve almost everyone at least once, taking into account for everyone's strengths, interests, and skill level. So here's the agenda I've got planned;

FIRST, the mostly-finished posts in my drafts are getting revamped, finished, and assigned. I'm currently working with the artists who've claimed Instruments and StarClan 102 to get those ready, and then moving on to Parasites, Welcome to ShadowClan, and Flax Processing, and a couple others. I've got an artist in mind for each-- though it's possible that plans might change based on availability.

AFTER THAT, I'm going to tackle some of the most important and requested guides, as well as the topics in my drafts that need more massive re-writes. Boar Hunting, Winter Preparations, How Scent Works, etc. I don't have artists set for these yet, so if you're on my list, I will be approaching folks randomly once there's a presentable draft ready to show.

All the while, I am still subject to the whims of Whatever Thing I Want To Write About At The Time. SO if you're on my list, I might leap at you at some point to offer you something relevant to the examples and interests you shared with me.

So if you're someone who reached out to me and you suddenly get an interest in a new topic, or want an excuse to practice a specific subject, or I mention something offhandedly while answering an ask that you find interesting, feel free to shoot me another DM so I can add it to my notes.

every single day i think about the influence touya would have had on shouto as an older brother.

he has to take him everywhere he goes, so they're always jamming to the same hardcore music in touya's shitty car. shouto, obviously, develops a taste for the same bands, same songs. shouto is also in the ride-along to buy cigarettes and beer at midnight, and touya threatens his whole entire life if he tells rei, but shouto would never because he likes going too much.

shouto 100% would attempt to kick the ass of anyone that talked shit to his brother. little string bean, doesn't matter, this little boy is throwing HANDS for touya, and touya very much has the attitude of "no one can fuck with my little brother but me". whenever shouto gets in trouble for doing something he shouldn't be doing, touya is always taking the fall for him, no questions asked. shouto lies for touya like it's second nature.

shouto wants an earring because of touya, and touya probably GIVES the piercing to him, which makes enji blow a gasket. touya learns to play the drums and then shouto wants to, too — though he ends up being better than touya and touya promptly quits after that. touya teaches him to drive. shouto gets drunk for the first time with touya BECAUSE touya wants to be there to take care of him. they hate each other, they get into fist fights all the time, rolling around the house as fuyumi screams at both of them. they're best friends. they understand each other more than anyone else ever could.

Man I got caught up writing a super long post about the state of disability benefits in the UK but I am so fucking exhausted and I don't have my sources checked so instead of being stupid and posting it for all to see just yet I'll just say this:

ultimately i think the appeal of daniel and armand to me is that it's very much a typical dark romance storyline where the heroine is kidnapped and tortured by an evil monster but using her wits she manages to seduce him and make him emotionally vulnerable to her, because she is More Special and More Clever than all of his other victims, and because of this she enjoys a level of dangerous favor and protection from him, except in This version of the dark romance it's two toxic old men who both have the worst fucking personalities imaginable. who truly just fucking suck beyond measure. like no pun intended, they are Garbage, one is the actual literal immortal devil and the other is just kind of a deadbeat with no moral compass, neither of them is willing to work on himself and neither of them has ANY reason to want to rail the other as bad as they do.
