stand up against snape when he was bullying hermione (and got a detention as a result)

Fun Story to Share.

I got my (now 18-year-old) daughter into Ao3 back in 2021. I taught her she should always comment - even if the fic looks old or abandoned or whatever. She did.

Well - she got this email this morning:

The fic was written in 2014 and essentially abandoned.

Bethy read and reviewed in 2021 (and was actually the only person who had commented at all).

I just learned that Buneary isn’t the only Pokemon that hates you immediately.

Meet Lokix. He’s from generation IX, so he’s new to the party. Lokix’s base friendship is also 0, and he’s a fucking assassin and is actually terrifying.

Pokédex entrie: “When Lokix decides to fight all out, it stands on its previously folded legs to enter Showdown Mode. It neutralizes its enemies in short order.”

He’s also an evolution from Nymble, who has 20 base friendship. Which is actually quite sad when you think about it.

He also has cool blades and hates your guts.

HOLY SHIT exactly!!!

When I started working in an art supply store I was in shock of how stupid people are. My expectations of society has lowered considerably since then. And the children are the smart ones! They know exactly what they want, where to get it, how to get it, and they figure out the prices without having me to point it out to them like they’re unable to see even though it’s RIGHT THERE, plus, they are SO much more polite.

If you want to remember that the world is filled with incompetent idiots, work in retail. It makes you feel smarter than everyone else, which boosts your confidence AND destroys your faith in humanity.
