Also I had a feeling it was them, but there's this serial scammer that's been operating & scamming on tumblr since at least 2016, and it's now basically confirmed that blktransdyke/raisedeyebrowemojii was being run by this scammer. This is also why their scam blogs operate for a number of years & we don't generally use the "new blog asking for money" red flag for this scammer, because they literally have been running multiple scam accounts for YEARS.

BTD/REM was being run by the now-deleted scammer roboticwheelchair, who was called out for running a scam raffle in 2020. On that blog they also claimed to be trans, claimed to be in a wheelchair, claimed to be disabled, and allegedly needed fundraising, and on twitter they used the exact same trans flag icon for a pfp as blktransdyke's alternate account where they pretended to be a trans man instead. Roboticwheelchair also used the name "Falum Gibson" for their paypal, and lo and behold, they used it again where they were impersonating an Afro-Palestinian.

Often will say that they are homeless or in danger of being homeless

Often will say they are being "kicked out" by an abusive, homophobic/transphobic parent (sometimes will include a screenshot of a very rehearsed alleges conversation between themselves & the alleges parent, where the screenshot very conveniently captures the exact moment the parent says something close to the effect of "your existence is a sin against God, you are not my child, and this is why I'm kicking you out", and it all very conveniently fits on this one screenshot)

Other times they will say they are in danger of being homeless because of bills

Often will also claim to be depressed and/or disabled (either autistic, and/or will give a really long list of alleged disabilities. Its not that being multiply disabled is necessarily rare, but the amount this person gives is either just autistic, or a long list of things)

Sometimes will say that they are caring for a young child, and then that child will "die"

Almost always offers the payment options of paypal/venmo/cashapp/ko-fi/a gofundme if American, or if claiming to be Canadian, will offer paypal/ko-fi/a knockoff of those, but weirdly never gives an etransfer (indicating they're not Canadian)

Claiming to be a Black, disabled, Lesbian is a favorite story of theirs for a scamsona. They do not shy away from racefaking.

This person has been doing this for YEARS, and has raised literal thousands of dollars, and no way in hell needs that money.

The Jessicule. There are 6 characters. I really enjoyed the scene where Almond hugs Jessica and slips a piece of paper into her coat... so cute. Coldshot x Jessica needs no explanation. The Cautus woman is Tila, Clip Cliff's intelligence officer. She also buys Coldshot a drink.

No explanation for Tila x Sylvia. I just think that it would be funny if she moved on from her fiance dying via hooking up with a hot Cautus woman. I also like Tila and Sylvia's designs and think they both deserve girlfriends.

so chipspeech (which i learned about 10 minutes ago) is essentially an emulator for old voice synthesiser chips. but, ingeniously, it associates each one with a character design which is shown prominently in the software. each character has a brief bio on the website.

and you can already see the wheels of fandom turning! search for chipspeech and you find a lot of songs that are 'in character', with the lyrics and music video referring to these characters (for example). it's following the tracks laid by Vocaloid.

thinking about that... vocal synthesis software seems uniquely suited to associating elements of the program with character designs. you've got a ready made narrative: this synthesiser is the voice of this character. if I make a song using the Hatsune Miku software, it is as if Miku has come from where she's hiding in the wifi to sing for me. that does a huge amount to popularise the character and the software! now if I search for Miku on Pixiv I find over 600,000 pictures, and it's hard to overstate just how much stuff she's appeared in.

other software sometimes has mascot characters, for example Krita's Kiki the Cyber Squirrel who you see every time you launch the program (notably in the trans flag colours)...

and some of them can become a little culturally iconic, like Blender's stock model Suzanne the monkey, or Tux the Linux penguin. but it seems much more rare for a fandom to spring up around these characters. something about having a voice leads us to want to imagine them having an identity.

(other hypotheses: maybe it's also just a matter of having a really fantastic character design - most vocaloids aren't so popular as Miku, she truly is iconic. on that front, it will be interesting to see what becomes of Xenia, the alternative Linux mascot who is a trans foxgirl lmao. alternatively, maybe the open source mascots simply don't have the force of Krypton Future Media's marketing budget behind them - but I don't think that really explains why the vocaloid characters are so compelling)

(further consideration: maybe the popularity of vocaloid just an offshoot of the existing idol culture and I'm reading too much into it? vocaloid isn't nearly so popular outside of Japan, and I'd wager people who are into vocaloid might be into Japanese stuff in general.)

Guys, I have a confession to make. I believe Sallie May is one of the most overrated characters in Helluva Boss.

I don’t believe she’s overrated simply because she’s trans. It’s just for a different reason that I will explain shortly, but first who is this character I'm talking about?

Who is Sallie May?

Sallie May is Millie’s sister who debuted in Hell of a Boss Episode Five, the Harvest Moon Festival. After some time after the release of the episode she was pretty popular among the Hell of a Boss fandom

So what're my thoughts about her overall? Well, Sallie May is a character, that's pretty much it. I don't have any opinions on her as a character because she isn’t fleshed out. She is Millie's sister who is transgender, that's really what Sallie May is. She looks pretty, but Sallie May doesn't have any standalone character similar to Octavia and Millie.

So that's how I feel about Sallie May, she's overall just a side character. It's cool that they added her to the show, but that's all.

Now that, that's out of the way I'm going to talk about..how Vivziepop and the other creators used her and why I don’t like it. This is going to be pretty controversial for me to discuss so don’t pull out your pitchforks yet.

What I don't like upon Harvest Moon Festival’s release is that a lot of people, including me were not aware that Sallie May was transgender and there was very little indication of that. The only thing that points out that Sallie May is trans is her horns.

As people know, Male imps and Female imps have different patterns for their horns. However, that information is not shared within Helluva Boss.

It requires outside research like in the wikis, Livestreams, or people telling you in order to make sense.

Upon first watching Harvest Moon Festival, I had no idea that Sallie May was transgender until a Reddit post basically told me that she was.

If you're going to have a character with a certain gender identity, establish it within the series. It could've been something simple like a pin of the transgender flag or a button that has the colors of the transgender flag.

The writers of Amphibia did it with Sasha where Sasha had a bisexual heart sticker on her rearview mirror. It doesn't have to be something big, but it can be small and easily noticeable.

I don’t get how people consider Sallie May to be a trans icon when lots of people didn’t even know she was trans in the first place.

Why I believe she's overrated and why she's loved within the Fandom

Now the real question is why do I believe she’s overhyped? Well, simply put it she does not have much screen time overall. Sallie May has around 13 to at most 20 seconds of screentime and Harvest Moon Festival is 17 minutes and 30 seconds long excluding the credits.

Sallie May doesn't make an appearance later on in the episode despite the fact that Millie and Sallie's mom, Lin said that Sallie May would compete in the Pain Games. Not once is Sallie May shown in the Pain Games.

Sallie May also doesn't appear later on in the episode. Viv and Brandon just include her in those couple of seconds and decided "That's all she gets".

But why is Sallie May overrated as a character? Well, it's simple, merchandise.

Despite being a side character, Sallie May is present in a lot of merch. In the Valentine’s and Summer merch sales for Hell of a Boss, Sallie May is highly sexualized.

Sallie May hasn't gone through the transition surgery, which is fine, but the merch puts A LOT of emphasis on that.

What I mean is that…her bulge is showing.

Sallie May's swimsuit and Valentine’s merchandise are clear examples of this, they just let Sallie May’s thing bulge out with no care in the world. Why is it that Sallie May’s bulge is exposing itself in nearly all of her raunchy merch, but none of the characters who identify as males (except for Chaz) are not?

Conclusion

In conclusion, I believe Sallie May is really overhyped because she’s sexualized as hell. I get that people like her because she’s trans and that we have a trans character in Helluva Boss, but then again there are also two other characters in this show that are trans.

And one character in Harvest Moon Festival that is also trans

At least that’s what the horns and hair color imply, but I don’t see the fandom falling head over hills for these two characters.

The trans rep in Helluva Boss sucks, Sallie May has more screen time as merchandise than she does as an actual character. Let that sink in.

I've been thinking more and more about the "Soul-powered Jujus" idea I keep linking to from earlier, and how alt!Calliope's narrative and possession powers were STUNTED when she was splintered in two... which could mean that they could save both Ultimate Dirk and Ultimate Rose by sealing away parts of their broader souls or powers into VESSELS. Possibly creating Skaia itself with fractured shards of Rose's Seer of Light nature or sealing it in the Cueballs, possibly creating Crowbar's Crowbar with part of Dirk's soul-- basically depriving them of their ULTIMATE powers and the corruption that comes with ultimate power, while still leaving enough of them left to be an individual self, see sense and survive.

There's almost no question left anymore with that latest revelation about the returning bubbles from their destination that the nature of the competition between Skaia and the Horrorterrors that forms the nature of the game itself is going to be established in this new Delta/Omega session or whatever you'd like to call it, and that means that the guidance and storywriting potential of the Great Powers that are Skaia and the Horrorterrors must be created, and only an absolutely incredible power could possibly become such quiet yet nigh-omniscient guides. Countless hints like the Orange/Purple "tick, tock" when Jade bet on alt!Calliope freeing her are hinting that the color themes of the Prospit/Derse alignments are retroactively the responsibility of the wills of Dirk and Rose in the first place, somehow diluted and conveyed all across Paradox Space to write these "stories" for every set of heroes and the challenges they have to face. The fulcrum between which the heroes' wills are the only force capable of finding hope and new life from the seeds of the doomed conflict. To quote Aradia back in Act 5:

Dirk is one of the only people with the power to divide a soul such as his, however... unless the awakening of Brain Ghost Dirk out in (Candy) land serves as enough of a fulcrum to partially disarm him like alt!Callie was disarmed earlier. (Or unless that taxidermied body Jade dropped wasn't just Dave's as would have been most obvious, but possibly Dirk's too...) Maybe things can turn so disastrous that they can convince Dirk to shatter HIMSELF, as he may be one of the only ones who can possibly do it, not just Ultimate Rose? Maybe seeing what he's wrought can eventually change a mind even as stubborn as his to some extent? Or maybe fracturing himself to become responsible for EVERY STORY THAT EVER EXISTS IN PARADOX SPACE is at the same time a core part of Dirk Strider's endgame plan, and by that point he'll have already won from his perspective, except to realize that the reality they've sealed OUTSIDE Paradox Space is more free and worthwhile to the readers than the one stuck inside it?

Like the Monkey's Paw analogue Andrew originally described in his Q&A after the Epilogues about them always having been meant as a flawed wish because the readers wanting to know what happened next, by necessity, trapped the characters in a plot again instead of leaving them free? Daring for this to be brought back again along with all the other themes Dirk as the author avatar who must be stopped, who must be outdone by the fanmade story (Candy) outside canon, needing to be defeated.

calliope: although i doubt it can be restored to its original state, the growth can be curbed. calliope: with or without your assistance, these antics can be brought to a satisfying and hopefully timely conclusion. calliope: the prince thwarted, the renovations finished, and the rest of the recalcitrant furniture bolted neatly back into its place. Yeah this is a very alt!Calliope view, and the reflections of a different but similarly somewhat villainous sort of author avatar to mirror Dirk Strider -- alt!Calliope reflects the author's need to close every loop, patch up every hole, get all these fanmade additions under control and create a story that wraps up in a neat bow... even if the characters would still be better off FREE of said story. There are extents to which she's as much the author as Dirk, and can't be certain she's not another villain, having done so much damage to shatter the Green Sun and Paradox Space in the first place by leading her brother around in a shitty circle.

I still love how the moral of this ENTIRE sequel is supposed to be that we're finally shown the origins of Paradox Space's propagation system itself and every loose thread that could have ever been tied up in the entire story, and we're all going to care infinitely more about Yiffany Longstocking Lalonde Harley and all the characters and their unlikely children finding happiness in a ridiculous fanfic timeline than any of that LORE SHIT. What a cool Death of the Author moral for a story to have. --I forgot for a moment that alt!Calliope, one of the competing authors, is literally DEAD and still trying to maintain absolute control of the story from beyond the grave. Moving beyond HER too sounds like it may also have some meaning.

As you've hopefully gathered by now, things are happening again. They've been happening again for a while now, since a certain handsome somebody decided to get off his toned, muscular ass and ascend to godhood for the sake of getting the narrative and all his friends' lives back on track (you're welcome, by the way), but they're especially happening again here and now. When last you left us, our Contest had just begun. Rose and I were beginning the lengthy and convoluted process of engineering our own races to populate Deltritus, meticulously tweaking their genetic profiles and respective collective unconscious-es in an effort to create a species fit to conquer the next session of the Game. 

Blah blah blah, recap recap recap. Guess it's been so long that you feel like you need to outline the whole premise of the contest again for us because we've been too busy having fun seeing everything else that was going on, and you needed to hide the two alien races you'd set up from us a while longer. (Are Rose's the necro-something?)

Well, I was. Rose dipped pretty early on in that visual montage to spend some quality time trading barbs and bumping uglies with the supposedly impartial proctor of said Contest, next to the vacant meat-sack that once housed her consciousness. Irresponsible, sure, but to give credit where due, it was irresponsible in a poignant and symbolically weighty sort of way. Classic Rose shit. Rest assured, however, that since then she's spent at least as much time throwing herself into the work as she has cruising for the occasional caliginous bruising.

He's really tailor-made his tone of voice to piss everyone off, hasn't he.

It's been a pretty good time, to be honest. Every now and then I can feel her interest waning, but she's done an incredible job cooking up a witty retort of a race to the deep rhetorical questions posed by my equally-if-not-even-more-bombastically-inspired offspring. She's proven herself a worthy rival, and a worthier collaborator. Her patience for this particular stage of our grand designs is starting to fray, but it's just as well; both of us have essentially done all we feel we can do to lay down solid bio-physio-psycho-sociological foundations for our chosen peoples. Rose's growing discomfort with and desire to move on from this process helps to curb an urge of mine that she's correctly identified as a deep-seated need to micromanage things I care about. A few days back we both agreed that it's high time we get this fucking show on the road, so we've put the finishing touches on our scions and are just about ready to drop them kicking and screaming into the wilds of this beautiful, doomed planet.

Time to stop dirkblocking us and show us your "fantastic" pair of alien races then? Are they going to have any characters we actually begin to care about? You'd better hope so for your sake.

Odds are the whole races either transform to some other force in the eventual game that becomes Sburb or simplify themselves into the white and black Chess People, but you (Dirk) probably knew that already.

i see sora as pansexual and arospec!!

as an arospec person myself i relate a lot to what sora says in the character files about not really getting love so i hold him being arospec very near and dear to my heart!! i think differentiating different kinds of love is confusing for him and i don’t know where he falls on the spectrum (and i don’t think he does either!!) but he’s somewhere along there so that is why i used the arospec flag!!

that being said, i do think he experiences attraction to some degree and i don’t really see gender influencing his attraction at all so i hc him as pan. bi could also work but i personally identify more with pan and love to project lmao

i see riku as gay, demisexual, and trans!!

riku has only really shown real interest in sora throughout the whole series (since him being like “i’ll share the paopu fruit with kairi” was a way to get under sora’s skin) so we’ve only seen him as attracted to a guy so that’s why i see him as gay! also his whole interaction with shiki in dream drop just fucking screamed that he’s gay and please get this girl away from him oh god

Today (21/12/2024) is the 4th anniversary of my main Terraria world. Yes, I have in fact also played on other worlds, but this world is the one that I always came back to to do some builds here and there and dump all my loot from other worlds. In fact, this world started as just me storing all my items from finished playthroughs to keep my world select menu clean. Since I made a similar (read: long and rambly) post not too long ago about all my copies of terraria, I thought I would do the same for this world since its a substantial portion of my steam playtime of the game.

Here it is! Created four years ago today. As the name would suggest, it was originally a playthrough where I only used constituent parts (and constituent parts of those parts, and so forth) of the Zenith as the only weapons I could use. Another stipulation was that I had to actually collect all of them to craft the zenith at the end. Eventually, I started using it as a deposit for all the items I collected (as previously mentioned). The first iteration was very simple, rows of platforms with labelled chests, but it was quickly proving inadequate, so I wanted to create a new storage system. I thought dynasty wood looked cool, and I bought a fuckton off the travelling merchant, with the final result looking like this:

Except not exactly since there were originally less golden chests (vanity item storage) and I had a few rows of the different lunar fragment chests (for class-based weapons and armour), and some of the furniture at the top floor were added later. The weapons and armour storage, being about 5 chests per class, very very quickly proved to be inadequate, so the solution I came up with a while ago was, rather than raise the building, build a basement underneath the crafting stations room (pictured below as well):

What's that at the bottom? Is that an excessively wide hellevator? Why, yes it is, because the original hellevator in this world was just bombed into place instead of mined.

More or less looks like this all the way down. The original had planked walls instead of the wood there now. It sucked. Also, in case anyone was wondering, the vertical wood is not wooden beams, it is in fact ebonwood walls painted brown. Cool build hack.

At level surface, I also have a world-spanning railway (and in the corner you can see the chests containing every item in the game sorted by item id. that was a fun project).

Back to the surface for a bit, and outside the doors of each entrance to the main building are trans flags because they are cool and awesome (and so are trans people)

I also collected every banner and put them on display. Hovering over the banner buff icon shows a massive wall of text showing all the enemies you are buffed against. I once left my game like that when streaming it to a group chat while I left for a minute and someone asked if that's how I play the game.

I also made a massive arena (that I need to redo at some point) that doesn't fit on one screen so here's where all the stuff is. The pylon was only moved up there in 1.4.4 when the distance to access pylons was increased since before I had 2 pylons at spawn.

Also here is every music box in the game sorted by volume (with space for vol. 5 which will contain tracks form 1.4.3-1.4.5). What can I say, I like building things to show off stuff like this and the banners.

A bit further to the right, and we reach the desert pylon. This is the more recent version, with the original being much more shit and basically being slightly decorated shoeboxes around a (smaller) oasis. Those corridors at the sides are not directly the level surface railway, and we will get back to them later.

Jungle pylon here, this is one rennovation that was also a moving, previous ones were shoebox houses on stilts that were placed just below the railway here:

Also this is an example of how I "buried" all the tunnels I built (no single tile is exposed to the rest of the world, there are always natural tiles blocking it).

Moving downwards from there, we have the original arena I used for Plantera,

Completely mined out and rectangle-ified temple (with bonus still-sealed door cause I hoiked in for some reason),

And Plantera bulb/life fruit farm.

Further right on the rail, we get to a 128x128 canvas for pixel art, that I am still yet to think of something I want to fill there.

And finally on the railway, the end (plus rightmost shaft going down to hell).

Also above is the ocean pylon which is in an airship I built block-for-block from someone else's world cause I thought it looked cool.

That is about it for the right side (except for a couple things I'll get back to), so now moving onto the snow pylon. Notice the similar non-train tunnel from the desert pylon. I'm sure this will not come up later.

Mushroom pylon here, another rennovation that moved the build. The original was right next to the dungeon, in a natural slope from original world gen, sloping down into the dungeons left wall, with basic shoebox houses plus a mushroom grass patch to count the biome. I'll come back to the dungeon in a sec, but just before that,

Hallow biome house. There's also a sky rail (straight line of rails) and some simple farms and fishing spots for the spreadable biomes in the sky.

Much like the temple I am also hollowing out the dungeon, but in a way to maintain the funky shape, since the temple was already almost rectangular.

I also modified the pillars at the dungeon entrance to make the tablet symmetrical, and, what's that? Why is it buried? Why is the surface on top flat? Well,

I made the whole world flat. Just cause. Jungle was the hardest since i had to raise it and place mud manually, desert was easy cause sand falls. Snow was mostly just shaving off a mountain, and dirt could be done with dirt bombs. I levelled it around spawn's depth level, which is why the dungeon is buried.

Final pylon, caverns. This one used to just be simple in a cave over a natural cave lake (tried to keep it more or less the same in terms of the framework of it). There used to be a tunnel coking off the right from the bar (which is where the ruby display used to be), but that was removed for reasons I will get into when discussing some more recent changes to the world.

Just next to the cavern pylon (in a very literal sense) are 12 different variants of the standard slope-type mob farm. The original version used to be 3 (in a 2x2 grid with the lower right one missing) 200x200 excavations with about 5 or 6 tiles of natural generation between them and giant multi-block slabs of crimson, corruption, and hallow blocks for """farms""". They were incredibly shite and looked fucking ugly so I am clad i took up a bit more space to make better-looking and -functioning farms.

Directly to the left (and down slightly but still touching) the farms, is this display of all the furniture sets (which I recently overhauled and made space for upcoming sets)

It's this layout for every furniture set, with some variation that some sets have special crafting stations, and some have a potentially relevant music box. Also Santa moves into the boreal one every christmas.

Here is the bottom of the central shaft, with a regular non-minecart tracked tunnel (the track is in the middle of hell, like the sky rail its just a line of rail but thats a future project), and a little bit going under to properly enter hell- wait, where the fuck did hell go!? Yes, as the next image (of the full world) will show, hell is completely gone. There are ash blocks on the map image, but that is only cause terraria's ingame map actually is able to show 1-2 tiles out of bounds in all 4 directions.

And here it is, the complete world map. Yes, I completed the world map and made sure every pixel was at max light level because it looked nicer that way.

Final thing for the main post, because of symmetry (the 9 tile long units between torches in the tunnels, I wanted the same amount on each side) I decided to recently move the entire spawn build, and the shaft below, 26 tiles to the left. Also rebuilt the natural terrain using a world copy I made with a 1.4.1.2 (original version I made this in) GOG backup installer (I love drm free files). Had to use TEdit to move the spawn point though.

It'll show full terramap images of the current world, original world pre- me doing anything, and also what the world if generated today (1.4.4) would have looked like. Also the train stations I most recently built in this world for the pylons.
