I LOVE Riku’s shift in mood when Sora realizes it’s him in KH2.
He was gonna keep up the facade and pretend to be Ansem even though Kairi knew it was Riku. He was gonna straight up peace out and never say anything to Sora. He didn’t want Sora to find him.
But the second Sora knows it’s him, the second Sora falls on his knees, Riku turns around and faces Sora. His voice returns. And he so softly, so gently tells Sora to pull it together. He’s there. He’s gonna explain himself. He’s facing Sora now. He’s not walking away. He’s not leaving. Sora needs him. And Riku’s not going anywhere.
