the morning (afternoon?) after this messy stunt. Floyd got off too easy in my opinion, but it's hard for Les to stay mad at him when he makes those sad pouting faces... 🤦

If you think Floyd's being really dumb at the start of this comic before getting a reality check, you have to take into account that he's madly lovesick and was feeling very smug atm; he's also a 15yo pop troll who thinks making out with someone means they're together now; and he assumed Les's sour mood was entirely the result of a nasty hangover...

so i just wanna say i think i fumbled with a bad bitch a little bit the other night but not just in a shy loser wuhluhwuh way i just have so many other problems. but going forward i am going to be brave 🙏

it occurred to me to Juxtapose the current lackadaisy triumvirate w/the former, now especially mysterious one: namely [rocky ivy freckle] vs [atlas mitzi mordecai]

you have mitzi and ivy where this is sort of an alternate, glamorous, welcoming and potentially promising world. ivy saying everyone treated her like royalty, mitzi's focus on atlas individually and the surprise of his interest & treatment.

then there's freckle and mordecai at least somewhat spontaneously drawn into "but he's just so good at it!"-based professionally shooting and killing you. perhaps also being obliged to someone as further motivation, whether they helped you finish school or not be killed today.

atlas is too mysterious & undialogued to cite any examples while considering Parallels, but you can wonder about rocky kind of being at the helm of the trio / drawing the others in, and trying to get to compose the result you want even if you're improvising your way there, but the proximity of disaster anyways

#lackadaisy #mitzi and mordecai murder mystery #which is already enriching b/c it's like oh there's just gonna be themes & character material in there #versus that say it seems all-important whether mordecai noscoped atlas himself or someone else did to argue legal liability #sort of have a smoking gun even like yeah and i bet he shot him with atlas's own gun; as comparable b/w Revolver Silhouettes there #but the detective work is like; discerning apparent Themes. speculating on what could bolster Character Arcs lol. classic #like furiously rotating like ok if you suppose mordecai absolutely living for Professionalism & avoiding Professional Complications at the #fun new Uniquely Terrible gig is in part a reaction to [murder mystery] then how to figure in a potential parallel wrt mitzi....#and that imo peak mysterious ''how Could she have even theoretically been like indirectly at fault for atlas's death'' matter....#like if you presume mordecai's thusly Doubling Down. does mitzi think atlas died to leave her the Potential that lackadaisy offers. maybe!#since she's All About That now. and trying to figure out who can best help her with that; exactly #rocky trying to be a contender thusly for sure lol #of course plenty of differences in these juxtapositions but thinking about more general parallels wrt those themes; emotional arcs....#we do love it #just have fun; that's what murder is all about. more like foulplay.die

I actually like the last chapter. I think the ideas are very good. I have my qualms on how some things were managed, as I always do, but I think shonen authors get tangled in the expectations of a shonen to the point it jeopardises their writing, often even when they're not lacking in skills

#I think the nothingness‚ the absence‚ the moving on despite everything‚... is a good if heartbreaking idea #and we do see snippets of it throughout the entire manga‚ yet I think it is mostly lacking in execution #I like the quiet ways in which we see the characters mourn. How Megumi laughs at the letter‚#how Shoko muses about how Satoru should have let her take care of Geto's body‚ the faint smile when Megumi agrees‚#how Shoko quits smoking again‚ Yuuji giving this person hope and a second chance‚ making a reference to him not being executed‚#and giving Sukuna too a chance for him to take one day a different path #All those are very good ideas and all those are very moving quiet ways of grieving. But. It feels in general so lacking #There's so much of everything else in contrast‚ even things that have way less importance narratively than this most of the time‚#that it feels lacking. Especially with how one has to dig to find these things. There's so much that could have been done with the same idea #And done so much better. But the idea is good. The absences are good. The quiet presences are good.The nothingness is good if bitter and sad #But it could have been written better #I also think this ending with Yuuji apparently knowing about Sukuna‚ his lies‚ his little hint of softness‚ the potential second path‚...#makes even more believable why he'd try at all to offer him a second chance. And I love that Yuuji knows him and I love that he still...#leaves the door open for that second chance to occur at some point. Trusting that Sukuna would walk that other path next time #And I love that without openly acknowledging Gojo he demonstrates that he hasn't forgotten him in his acting #How he gives that guy a second chance‚ how he jokes about him not getting executed‚ how he wants to make sure people‚ 'problem children'‚#don't get left behind. He doesn't mimick Gojo in his power but in this flippant but caring aspect and thus he's not forgotten #I do like this. It's heartbreaking. Gojo's desire to be forgotten is bittersweet as it's in a way a desire for... normalcy and humanity #To be surpassed. It goes well with how Gege says Gojo can do anything and thus why he does nothing‚ not even hobbies‚#to leave something for the future generations and not being another wall in their achievements #Gojo's desire to be forgotten is in line with the constancy of his writing when it comes to being drunk on his status #and yet resentful of his loneliness. It's a mix of being left behind and not being left behind #For being left behind and forgotten would mean he is more like the rest. Just another step forwards #And he'd have done what he wanted to achieve. Sorcerers can't stop a long while to grieve but Yuuji takes his words and actions #into consideration and steps forwards. Does the same. Fulfills Gojo's expectations. Walks towards the future. And that's the legacy Gojo #wanted and not going down in history as a legend or the strongest. He was just a teacher. Like Yaga was. He was not even the principal #Just a teacher. His role‚ the role he chose for himself‚ has been fulfilled. Now all this could have done way better #Something of Yuta and Megumi given their dynamics with Gojo would have been good. But I guess Gojo's 'at least one' works well #with Yuuji being the one doing the work. Yuuji was also ontologically alienated since birth and still he too remained cheerful and flippant #despite being so lonely so I guess the final parallel is intentional. But it could have been managed better still. The idea is good though

man. i really want to push my bf to stop vaping sooner rather than later but i also dont want to be some kind of asshole. like he's expressed that he wants to quit many times and has tried in the past,, esp if i move in i think i'd like to bring it up that he should try again. idk man

#his sister who he lives with also vapes #and his best friend vapes like a fucking steam engine #and his friend is gonna be living with them for a while next year as he searches for a house/apt at his new job so quitting during that tim #would probably be rlly difficult. but at the same time he needs to learn to say no #and his friends need to respect those boundaries bc it sounds like last time thats what went wrong. like he didnt have a quit plan #anyway its just smthn i think i could help with? i want to sit down with him and be like okay ur making a quit plan. bc youre setting #yourself up for failure if you dont AND you need to establish boundaries immediately so your friends dont offer you smokes #or vape rigs whatever. like its not an individual effort...#and yeah i can tell its affected his health both physical and mental. and hes said that. soo

because the fun never stops here [lolsob], one of our smoke alarms was just gushing water today!!!

#the explanation we received makes no sense #maint claimed the upstairs neighbor didn't have the shower curtain inside the tub and that was why it leaked onto the floor and from there #to the smoke alarm #but that doesnt make sense???#though they didn't take anything apart or look into the ceiling or anything #so who knows whats happening in there #they didnt even bother to drain the water out of the smoke alarm bulb #we have those alarms that include flashing lights on them for hoh/Deaf people #and the big glass bulb that covers the light is FULL of frankly absolutely digusting looking water #please can something go good for once!!!!!!#can someone just like idk offer a simple fix for our problems to take ONE!!!!! THING!!!!! off my plate!!!!!#can someone offer me the most perfect beautiful house in a state that isn't trying to legislate my wife and daughter out of existence!!!!!#since that's the easiest thing to fix #no magic spell to fix my autoimmune disorder #no magic spell to fix my other daughter's debilitating anxiety issues #i can work with everything else #already on my way to taking care of everything else #with the help of medical professionals and such #but the housing is not a thing i can easily fix so if the universe could please just drop that solution into my lap it would be so wonderfu #please and thank you!!!!!!!!!#also i have suffered enough in my life and i deserve it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trying to go back to normality after the flood by working on my secret santa

Writing inspiration sadly isn't hitting any more (probably because uni has been drowning me in work and I've been programming way more than I usually do) but thankfully drawing inspo seems to be ready to come out!
