The Silver Age Justice League is just the predecessors to the Superfriends. Having a secret sanctuary (like the Hall of Justice), having a teen sidekick (like Snapper Carr), etc. Hannah-Barbera really chanelled that 60s energy with their shows. Wendy, Marvin and their Dog, plus the Wonder Twins and their Monkey...they're clearly spiritual successors to Snapper Carr. Someone needs to put them all together. The JLA's designated trainees and mascots.

On that note, though, the Suoerfriends show is not one of the shows i saw too often as a kid, but i caught some reruns. And what always stood out to me was the characters Hannah-Barbera just made up. Black Vulcan, Samurai, Apache Chief, El Dorado, The Wonder Twins, etc. They were weird characters, but the originality really made them stand out to me. I think we could add them to modern comics. It might take some adjustment, but I think they probably deserve it.
