Also, you might see sunscreens with SPF 50+ - that usually means it's about SPF 60

Additionally, SPF doesn't measure all of the UV spectrum protection. To have the best protection you want broad spectrum, to protect against both UVA and UVB. Not only does that protect you from skin cancer, but it also helps with skin pigmentation and aging, which isn't the most important but it's nice.

Also, to top it all off, not all sunscreens are equal. You might come across a lot of talk about mineral sunscreen being better than chemical. That isn't really true, and might actually set you up for failure. Mineral and chemical sunscreens work almost entirely the same, with mineral sunscreen giving whitecast in most cases. Because of that you might be tempted to apply less of it, which unfortunately defeats the purpose - "a little goes a long way" doesn't work for sunscreen.

My mom & I both tried out the Avatra Drink Up Thirst-Quenching Hydro Mask. This sheet mask is formulated without parabens, phthalates, silicones, formaldehyde, & fragrance. The fact that this is fragrance free was very important to me, as a lot of scented skincare products make my face itch & break out. We applied the masks to freshly cleansed skin, left them on for 20 minutes, & then followed with the rest of our usual skincare products. There was enough serum left in the packet to apply it to the hands & neck as well. My skin was slightly tacky for a while after that, but it did completely soak in after a bit. I found the mask to be very hydrating, & my skin was very soft after. My mom said that she felt the mask was cooling & moisturizing, & that the extra product helped her dry hands. These masks were $2.99 each from Target.
