perfume brands i'm choosing not to support
i know this is my specific niche, so i don't know how many people will find this useful, but i wanted to compile a list of perfume/fragrance brands that support israel that i personally have decided not to use. for most, they're owned by a pro israel company, so i'll group them to make this easier to read
note: some brands listed under major companies are partnered with the larger company in question, i just say "owned by" as a catchall
feel free to correct me if i'm wrong on any of this, i'll update it if i need to add or remove anything
Brands owned by Estee Lauder Aerin Aramis Clinique Jo Malone Kilian Le Labo Tom Ford Michael Kors Coach Cosmetics
Anything owned by LVMH Dior Guerlain Givenchy Loewe Marc Jacobs Kenzo Parfums Maison Francis Kurkdjian Yves Saint Laurent Bvlgari DKNY Louis Vuitton
Anything owned by L’Oreal (as seen on the subsection of L’Oreals website, L’Oreal Luxe) Diesel Fragrances Giorgio Armani Valentino Beauty Mugler Maison Margiela Fragrances Lancome Ralph Lauren Cacharel Prada YSL
Various other brands Bath and Body Works Zara BDK (for the life of me cannot find any source talking about this, but here's a screenshot of what the owner has to say) Chanel
truth be told, a lot of these brands have really good dupes for a ton of their most popular fragrances. i wouldn't even bother going secondhand for their products, but that's just my personal opinion on what i'd be willing to buy. instead, i recommend brands like kayali perfumes who are vocally pro palestine. imo being silent is not really enough, but that's because perfume is a luxury for me and i'd rather spend my money on brands i feel comfortable supporting. anyways, once again, please feel free to correct me if i'm wrong on any of these or if i missed any
#ok to rb in fact i encourage it#beauty and fashion and fragrance are something you can absolutely choose to buy so#i feel like everyone deserves to know what brands support what

@brightclara location: Clara’s Clinique notes: old flings connect
Things between them hadn’t ended on the best note but Clara had kept in touch all these years, if only because she needed something. Once or twice, for access or some sort of resource - Virgil and his associates were good when it came to things like red tape. Artifacts confiscated from the black market, state of the art technology, experimental resources. The truth was the two of them couldn’t have been more different, the Ivy weren’t just a coven or even just a family, they were a community. A village. A city. That’s what it took these days. Clara was almost completely solitary, and from what he understood that’s how she preferred it. When they’d known each other on a more personal level she hadn’t had any friends, no one of significance - at least no one that she’d talk to him about. He supposed the two of them had always been strangers.
“What kind of underwear do scientists wear?” Virgil briefly paused for the best effect, “Kelvin Klein.” Clara hadn’t aged a day, which was to be expected given her history - he kept her real name off his tongue though. She’d chosen Clara so Clara was what the aspect would always be to him. “You like that one? Thought of it on the way over here.” His jokes always did something for people, whether it was an eyeroll, a chuckle, or a gut busting laugh - either way Virgil liked leaving others with a smile on their face.

Note
I’ve said this before, the reason why ppl don’t talk about certain issues is bc they could get backlash, could cause division/disunity in the fandom, might offend someone else…these are legit reasons why many celebrities aren’t as vocal as others. It doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t care they just prefer to be more private about it.
I know there is a truth in this because people love to be offended but supporting a child clinique, a an animal shelter or promoting the lifestyle without waste is how controversial if the organizations itself are not shady?

Manipulate my brother? Okay, I'll manipulate your face.
This happened years ago when I was still in high school and my brother was a freshman in college. He had a long distance girlfriend from Norway (long story for another day). They had been together a couple years, including visits in the US and Norway. One visit she came to stay at our house for five weeks.
Let me clarify, she was a manipulative bitch. Super passive aggressive, paranoid, control freak type wrapped up in pretty blue eyes, blonde hair and fair complexion. She would constantly try to pit my brother against his family. Being the young hormonal guy he was, you can imagine how that went.
So needless to say, five weeks was a long damn time. Nowadays, I wouldn't let someone I like stay that long. Me and my mother got tired of her shit real quick. She was constantly sucking up to my father and obviously we know where my brother stood, so she just made us look like we were being nasty.
One day, she's out with my brother and I'm home with one of my best friends. She had witnessed some of her bad attitude but I was showing her the latest stunt when the idea came to me. When she arrived at the house, there's a bathroom shared upstairs between me and my brother so she used that one too. I was pretty tomboyish so I didn't have a lot of cosmetics, just the basics, that took up one corner of the counter. Well, she came along and shoved all my stuff out of the way under the counter. She took over ALL the counter space, filled up a double vanity counter. Not the end of the world, right? But definitely irritating and add that to everything else, I had enough.
So on this afternoon, my friend and I thought we would push her buttons by just re-arranging her stuff. Petty? Absolutely, but she was so paranoid and territorial it would drive her nuts. And I almost left it there.
Almost.
When I was digging for some of my stuff (that she shoved under the counter, right?), I found this old bottle of some pretty cheap hairspray. Foul stuff that was probably some freebie or something.
I said to my friend, "Hey, kind of looks like the same color as her Clinique facial cleanser, doesn't it?"
Sure enough, it was. I poured out half of the bottle and replaced it with the hairspray. For the guys here, imagine your pores is cement and Clinique is a power washer where hairspray is like pouring tar on those pores.
Within two days, there was no amount of foundation that could cover up the break out on her all so pale, fair face. You could literally see her T zone.
Fast forward years later, I kept the truth of my crime secret and luckily my brother eventually came to his senses and dumped the girl. After years during a drunken night, I broke down and told him what I did. He busted a gut and said, "It all makes sense now! Her skin was horrible for months after that trip!" About six months, aka the time it took for her to finish the bottle. She tried other products but never switched the Clinique because she was a brand snob and never suspected it. Pretty sure the acne that ensued never healed correctly. Ugly on the inside and outside now.
TLDR - Brother had girlfriend that was manipulative and territorial so I switched her facial cleanser for hairspray. Face broke out for months, likely caused permanent damage.

BABY AND ME
Baby and Me was released on August 14, 2008, and regrettably I didn’t watch this movie until years later after scrolling mindlessly on YouTube. The comedy was spot on, and so I found myself laughing from start to finish.
The movie kicks off by introducing us to the lead male character, Joon Soo. He’s a rebellious teenager, who gets up to no good, and does whatever he feels like. His behavior is such a mess that his parents decide to leave him to his lonesome at their home.
Joon Soo decides to celebrate the fact that he’ll be alone for a while, and so he invites his friends to his place for a party. Things take a different turn for the teen, when someone places a baby in his unattended cart at the supermarket.
The only clue about the baby’s identity, is a note which states that Joon Soo is the child’s father. The teen refuses to believe this, and so he decides to wait at the supermarket for the baby’s parents. When no one shows, the teen has no choice but to take the baby home.
Luckily for Joon Soo, his parents are out of town, and so he doesn’t have to explain the reason behind him bringing home a baby from the supermarket. With no other choice, Joon Soo decides to inform his friends of the situation, and the three decide to brainstorm how to care for a baby.
It becomes obvious that Joon Soo has no idea how to care for a baby, and it becomes even more difficult for the teen whenever he tries to abandon the baby. Being a stay-at-home father isn’t as easy as it sounds, and Joon Soo learns this the hard way.
The scenes that showcases the teen’s difficulties are many, however you won’t be able to control yourself as you laugh at the teen’s many mistakes. Things take a turn for the worse, when Joon Soo’s principal calls and informs the teen that he will be expelled if he misses another day of school.
After weighing his options, Joon Soo realizes that he has no choice but to bring the baby - now called Woo Ram - to school with him. Joon Soo knows that this isn’t the brightest idea, but he also knows how much his parents value education, and so they won’t take an expulsion lightly.
Woo Ram’s presence at school does create a stir among the students and teachers, and of course the principal isn’t accepting a baby as a member of the school population. And so, Joon Soo’s expulsion is reduced to a suspension.
Throughout the entire ordeal, Joon Soo earns another fighter in his corner. Kim Byeol comes from a rather large family, and so she is no stranger to caring for babies.
She offers Joon Soon help with Woo Ram, and of course he readily accepts any aid available to him. The three spend many moments together, and Joon Soo becomes even more attached to Woo Ram, and Kim Byeol.
I actually lost my train of thought just by looking at this picture...
...anyway, Joon Soo’s behavior changes completely now that he is a father. There’s no need to act rebellious, as he realizes that such behavior is unnecessary. The baby changes Joon Soo, and his character development will make you swell with pride.
Let’s think critically for a bit; it’s obvious that Joon Soo isn’t the father, his parents will eventually return home, and so there’s no way he could keep Woo Ram forever.
The truth about Woo Ram’s parents is eventually revealed after Joon Soo gave up Woo Ram, and the teen also learns that the baby will be sent away. Joon Soo doesn’t take this news very well, and so he races to the airport to be reunited with Woo Ram once again.
Jang Keun Suk plays the character of Joon Soo, the rebellious teenager who takes pride in his bad behavior. Joon Soo does become a better person after spending time with Woo Ram, and so his character is one that you’ll admire. Jang Keun Suk has been an active actor since 1997, so feel free to check him out in the dramas A Korean Odyssey, and Switch: Change the World.
Song Ha Yoon plays the character of Kim Byeol, a quirky girl who becomes fascinated with Joon Soo the moment she first sees him. Kim Byeol’s personality is obviously different from Joon Soo’s, however the two are able to work well together. Song Ha Yoon has many projects under her belt, and so you can find her in the dramas Fight for My Way, and Devilish Charm.
Mason Mun plays the character of Han Woo Ram, a baby who just shows up in Joon Soo’s life and turns everything upside down. Obviously, Baby and Me is his first project, however he did show up in Love Clinique for a few minutes as a crying child. To this date, Mason Mun hasn’t been involved in any other on-screen projects, but I hope to see him again in the future.
Baby and Me was co-written and directed by Kim Jin Young, who also worked on Love Clinique, and Enemies In-Law. Lee Sung Min and Choi Won are the other two writers, and they have also written Innocent Thing, and Miss Butcher respectively.
Plot: 4/5 Cinematography: 4/5 Acting: 5/5 Total: 13/15

NGoogle is already helping the government write, and rewrite, history. Government agencies for " " n tGoogle complied with government requests for user data 94% of the time. N t1,421 requests for " " n t Google complied with content removal requests 87% of the time. Packaging always, especially lipsticks. Regular Mac lipstick tubes are so boring but I revert to my ooooh shiny lizard brain when they come out with their limited edition packaging. It why I constantly talking myself out of new Charlotte Tilbury bullets or Fenty liquid lips and why I both happy and sad Lisa Eldrige lipstick sold out in minutes (saved me money).. I have been to disney about 15 times. My daughter,a recent college grad goes on her own. It will give you lots of information about the parks, various hotels and all the restaurants both at the parks, Disney Springs and the resorts and Boardwalk. Also you not to have oven pizza more than once a week. Also go to this church we approve of. Also here lots of intensely personal questions.. Is there a point where running and dieting start to level out and stop working as well as before? I've been running and eating about 1500 calories or less a day. I'm 210 currently, down from 230 2 months ago. I know that eating 1500 or less is dangerous but I'm not trying to bulk up and only eat when I'm hungry which with school and work isn't that often, usually focused more on other things then hunger. Going on about how someone doesn have enough followers means jack shit. It like that old truth about being the most vocal against the people you feel threatened by. I hardly a "fan girl" of Kevin but more openly honest that c is a legend. People during the ancient civilization and pre civilization era are suggested to have slept in smaller groups from young to old. Where they would sleep during various hours of the night, switching shifts. Not all teens were watching the campfire or 성주출장안마 out hunting all the time. I was going to buy the Clinique one, but I saw this Caudalie cleansing oil for 50% off and decided to try it. So far I've only used it a few times, but I don't think this would be a good deal at full price. I have to use a lot of it, so it probably won't last long. I was 14 and it was the first time I had been left alone for the summer. My parents were very protective and only allowed it because my grandmother lived a block away. I was sleeping late (because why not?) and naked (just the facts) when I 성주출장안마 heard my door open. As I touched on before, I start using an active 1 2 a week depending on how strong it is. I do this for 2 3 weeks, depending on how my skin is reacting, and then increase to 3x/week, 4x/week, etc. Eventually I settle on once a day or once every other day if I get good results.. It was more like she has done a handful of stuff like this before to me where we had something planned and she would get my hopes up and then she would do something that would cause us to not go through with our plans and I would be let down. So when it happened this time and she said "I'm sorry this is my fault" it was more of sorry isn't good enough this time because you've done this to me plenty of times before. When I asked her to find new tickets and she found some for $180 I didn't tell her to buy the tickets because of the price but she did anyway so when she said she I didn't need to pay her half for them I agreed.

I don think they sold in America so understandable why I don see it talked about but Chi Chi cosmetics is a great option for affordable makeup in Australia. I been using their foundation for a year or so (I don wear makeup super often but when I do I like to go all out) and it got a very nice medium coverage that buildable too. I also use their brow pomade, and prior to getting my hands on some mid end (tarte and ABH) palettes I was primarily using their eyeshadows too. Also I know you said "grinding gears", just know that the synchronizer is the thing that actually gets grounded in modern transmissions (I'm 99% sure). So maybe MAYBE you have a synchro issue. Although I'd doubt it since the tranny is young and you need to really beat it up to effect a synchro because they're meant to last a LONG time. Her point was reasonable, she was trying to pull women out of the bullshit douche buying vagina hating mentality that had prevailed. I get it, but to feel at one with yourself and your vagina you don't need to eat menstrual blood, nor smear it all over your body. Also, I don't think you need to eat your fucking placenta, either.. I feel this. I'm a cranky 'old' millennial (graduated hs in 2000) but godfuckingdammit i'm here for the commiserating. I have a bachelors degree and a decade of administrative experience and pretty much every job worth applying to in my area pays just above minimum wage. They like to hunt for the 신안출장샵 objects of their desires. The house placement of the Moon as well as any planets conjunct the Moon in Mrigashira will give clues as to what the native is hunting. Mrigashira is an animal Nakshatra, so there is a natural love of 신안출장샵 animals and nature unless planets are severely afflicted here. The habit, too, of seeking some sort of recompense in the discontented boast of being disappointed, is a habit fraught with degeneracy. A certain idle carelessness and recklessness of consistency soon comes of it. To bring deserving things down by setting undeserving things up is one of its perverted delights; and there is no playing fast and loose with the truth, in any game, without growing the worse for it.. I really appreciate your feedback. I spent 3 hours with a Clinique rep one day and even she told me she couldn fit me for one of their foundations. :( I have rosacea and maybe I harder to fit? But everybody told me the Fair Beige was my ideal shade, so the rep fitting me with 2 shades darker threw me off.. If I get her for free, great. If not, I don plan on spending orbs but if I don LAzura for my free unit I don mind spending orbs on green and blue.Duma I don have one so he a keeper. Good fodder too so I got options.H!Myrrh: The weakest of the bunch for me, personally. Are you on a No Buy or a Low Buy? If you on a No Buy then nothing should be in the entertainment haha. The way your question is worded though I going to assume you on a Low Buy and trying to figure out how to budget makeup purchases into your regular budget yes? To me necessities are anything I have nothing else to substitute and I use on a daily basis/days I wear makeup at all. So like if you only have one mascara at a time when that one is done it is a staple to have so buying another one wouldn come out of an "entertainment" budget.

Sephora, Authenticity and Accessibility
Usually, when there's a shitstorm on the internet, I tend to hit ignore to be completely honest. I don't want to weigh in. I don't want to have a conversation. I don't want to get involved. It's only when my Muse nags me half to death to say something that I finally do, fully knowing it's going to force me into pointless conversations that just irritate everyone. It's why I'd rather talk about pop culture. No one is going to get too involved or too annoyed but it's generally amusing and interesting.
***
Let's preface this with a few things:
You are totallllllllllllllly entitled to hate Pinrose, Sephora, the media, consumer culture, whoever. It's your life. You are captain of your own ship. You are welcome to have whatever grudges you want.
Let's be clear: The Pinrose Witchcraft Starter Kit was in no way shape or form priced in any kind of affordable manner. It was not actually accessible.
What to do, what to do?
***
A conversation from yesterday:
Me: So the biggest trend right now in occult writing is talismanic publishing, meaning the book is published with fancy goatskin or hand bound or whatever. Naturally, this is not a group that has wanted much to do with me due to my basicness. However, a west coast press is doing an anthology and they hand bind their books. They took my piece! I will have my piece in a hand bound book!
JohnM: loooool. basicness.
Me: Hand bound book! Me!
JohnM: Basic! You!
Me: Yeah, I'm the PSL of the occult world.
JohnM: Goals honestly. I just wanna be basic and ubiquitous. Like Chris Hardwick was.
Me: I’m finally reaching our goal for me to be a mediocre white girl.
***
Once, several years ago, a Young came to me at NYC Pagan Pride. He said that he worked for Sephora and they had been passing around my first book, the self pub. He was emotional when he told me that I didn't know what it meant to be seen, to be understood and that I got what they were trying to do. That cosmetics were a kind of sacred space and that it meant something. That it wasn't just something you smeared on your face because someone told you to, that it could change your life. That you could change each other's lives with it. I squeezed his hand and told him he was doing good work.
***
Long ago, in ye olde 90's, Witch stores were brick and mortar places that lived often in the mall. Borders usually lived right next to the mall. Borders had poetry slams and was one of the few safe spaces to go as LBGT youth. They had books about kink, about LBGT, about feminism, about Witchcraft. We bought our books there. We bought our Tarot cards there. We bought our crystals there. We talked shyly to adult Witches there. I didn't know I was a Witch yet. I wouldn't know for years to come. This was a safe space for my mother to look upon with an indulgent eye while shepherding me to church. In confirmation class, we did mediation to Enya. My dad wasn't dead yet. I didn't need to question god yet. I had no need for actual magic yet. Seeds were being planted, so deep and dormant. I didn't know that eventually my origin story would be considered sweet in a basic sort of way at best, garbage at worst. No goddesses called to me. No special dreams were given. I watched The Craft. I read Francesca Lia Block. I don't have a GamGam who practiced. I have cemeteries and best friends' stepmothers and honorary aunts when I want to make this respectable. But none of my real teenage roots would be deemed respectable now.
The mall is not a respectable place for enlightenment, for glamour, for sovereignty, for dreams to be born.
***
If the Pinrose kit was $30, I would have bought it. I would have definitely liked to have rubbed my grubby little paws all over it in store.
I'm a Sephora VIB Rouge level member. I have over 1,000 points banked in my account with them. I have free flash shipping. I just got my biannual sale box full of moisturizer. I was a Play! member for about a year and I would distribute whatever goods I knew would not work for me to my fellow (part time and full time) femmes at parties on my Giving Table. I felt like a Fairy Godmother. I remembered how special and sacred it always felt when someone would give me their Clinique bonus week cosmetic pack. I had been chosen. I could conjure whatever I wanted. Now I was giving my girls the chance to try all kinds of things too. Grassroots glamour, nothing can be wasted. Even just tried lipsticks needed to be distributed. Like the tested Lime Crime lipsticks Bridgette gave to me, only available via special order. If they did not work for me, it was my sacred duty to hand it to the next daughter of glamour. I go to Sephora see my Girl when I have questions about highlighter, when I want to admire lipsticks, when I feel sad and think maybe a new eyeshadow will make me less sad. The lighting there is literally magic. On a sad day recently, I smeared myself full of glittering cosmetics, a private one person version of Joan Rivers and Miss Piggy. I felt invincible.
***
What's the difference? I keep turning this question over and over in my head, a worry stone that hasn't left me alone for days. I often vend with Bridgette. We sell: soaps, smudges, ritual oils, eye shadows, incense, candles, Tarot readings, my book, beard oil, unsolicited compliments, bath bombs, junior Witchscout advice. Sure, we make all this ourselves and we do our best to do our best but . . .
What's the difference? Why is it okay for me to sell cosmetics and witch supplies but it's not okay for Sephora? Yes, they are much larger production, of course. Of course. But is it so wrong to link cosmetics with witchcraft? What was the point of talking about glamour as magic and cosmetics as magic and fashion as magic and style as magic and glamour related influence as magic if it's not okay? What was the point of Azrael showing us how to weaponize cosmetics if it wasn't? What was the point of kosmesis in the Trojan War?
We have been told that this is dirty and wrong. That cosmetics and religion don't go together. We have taken art and made it crap for young girls and as we know, anything meant for young girls is crap. We have to be authentic as witches. We have to be wild and free and never ever consumers.
But that's not my authentic truth. Not as a Witch or as a human. And I bet it's not a lot of yours either. And I don't think we should have to be constantly racing to fit an archetype that may not actually be your truth. And I'm saying it's okay. It's okay if you like the Witch aesthetic on Insta. It's okay if you haven't read a ton of books or listened to a ton of podcasts or vblogs. It's okay if you like Witches in the media. It's okay if your representation as a Witch isn't being covered anywhere but in your heart. It's okay if you go to Target or shop on Amazon or if you don't. The point of being a Witch isn't being enraged on command, it's making your own judgement. I've made mine and it's okay to have made yours too.
I see you. I hear you. I hold space for you.

Best Cream For Dark Skin Tone

Best Cream For Dark Skin Tone
A. The 13 Best Sunscreens for Dark Skin Tones That Don’t Leave a White Cast
One of the biggest (and in our opinion the most dangerous) beauty myths? People with darker skin tones do not need sun protection on a daily basis. But here’s the truth: although melanin provides some sun protection for darker skin tones, it is not enough to ward off these harmful rays. This means that anyone, regardless of skin tone, can develop skin cancer – which, according to a study by the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, tends to result in worse outcomes for black women, as cancer is usually diagnosed at a later stage. Not to mention that SPF is an important part of any skin care routine, because “with cumulative sun exposure you may notice increased expression lines, decreased elasticity and discoloration”, says dermatologist Dr. Meena Singh, MD .
Now we know that not all sunscreens are created equal – and in the past many of these options were not made with melanin in mind, making them look meaty and unfavorable. The good news, however, is that thanks to recent advances in innovative textures (think sticks and serums with a clear SPF, colorful creams and non-greasy gel formulas), more and more skin care companies are offering sunscreens that do not leave a white glow. (As a reminder, you don’t need a bottle of SPF 100; SPF 30 broadband is enough).
To help you choose an invisible SPF that’s right for you, we’ve found (and tested) the best sunscreens for darker skin tones, including a 50 SP tinted CC cream, a cheap sunscreen and moisturizer hybrid, a beautiful balm for lips with sun protection factor and sunscreen for and by women of color.
1. Black own parasol
a. Moisturizing sunscreen Ultra Sheer SPF 30
A sunscreen for women’s dark skin. The formula is completely clear and gives a beautiful glow to the skin. For moisturizing without being oily or sticky, it is an effective makeup base.
b. Umbra Pure Physical Defense
Zinc oxide is the gold standard for sunscreens. It blocks a larger area of sunlight than titanium dioxide and can be more stable. However, zinc is difficult to formulate in a portable sunscreen, especially on darker skin, as it is very white. This formula gets it right. It disappears on the skin, even with the dark color of the skin. Mineral sunscreens are especially useful for dark skin, as they deflect heat, which worsens hyperpigmentation, says Dr. Singh.
c. Defense Refresh Setting Mist SPF 50
Dr. Singh points out that the sunscreen must be reapplied throughout the day (especially every two hours) to maintain protection. It looks good for a day at the beach, but how about a day at the office? Spray this spray directly on your makeup – it will update your appearance and protect your skin.
2. Best parasol for face
a. Anthelios Clear Skin Dry Touch Sun Protection SPF 60
This lightweight chemical sunscreen contains no oxybenzone and is designed for oily skin. It absorbs silica and helps you stay free of radiation.
b. Green Defense Daily Solar Mineral Protection
A mixture of titanium dioxide and zinc oxide (with an antioxidant boost from Echinacea) creates a protective shield on the skin that not only blocks the sun’s harmful rays, but also blocks visible light from digital devices (which also accelerate aging) . “I prefer mineral-based sunscreens or physical blockers that contain zinc oxide or titanium dioxide because they provide better protection against discoloration and dark spots,” says Dr. Singh.
c. Clear Ultra-Light Daily Fluid SPF 30+
“Since many of my patients are prone to greasiness and acne, I always recommend checking the labels and making sure that the products are oil-free and non-comedogenic,” said Dr. Singh. This ultralight sunscreen gives both boxes and contains a liquid texture that hydrates and is instantly absorbed.
3. Best umbrella for hyperpigmentation
a. Hydra Vizor Invisible moisturizer of broad spectrum with sun protection SPF 30
Still not convinced that you need to use SPF every day? Maybe that will convince you: Rihanna says that. “The biggest misconception about SPF is that blacks don’t need it,” she told OprahMag.com last year. “And as a black woman, I’m here to say it’s a lie. I hope the melanin community, like everyone else, knows that SPF is for everyone and every day. That’s why she created this 2 in 1 moisturizer and sunscreen that combines reef-friendly SPF 30 with niacinamide (to reduce the appearance of dark spots), hyaluronic acid (for hydration) and aloe vera (to soothe).
4. Best parasol for sensitive skin
a. Complete daily broadband SPF 30
“I usually recommend the use of moisturizing sunscreens for dry skin. Most sunscreen moisturizers for the face can do this, ”says Dr. Singh. This oil-free and fragrance formula with zinc oxide has more than 300 five-star reviews on ulta.com.
b. Invisible shield
Sunscreens (you know who you are) now officially have no more excuses: this antioxidant-rich sunscreen clearly works (meaning you don’t even have to worry about whiteness) and is made with active microcapsules that act and are instantly absorbed by the skin and leaves no sticky or greasy residue.
c. CC + cream with sun protection factor 50+
This all-in-one cream is powered by mineral sunscreens and is Dr. Singh’s current point of contact. “There are shades for each skin tone, they work as a concealer and are free of oil with a matte finish”, she says.
d. Hands screen FPS 40
Your hands also need sun protection! Although it is powered by chemical screens, there is no oxybenzone. It also contains sea buckthorn fruit extract and argan oil for extra moisture.
e. Lip sugar sunscreen with SPF 15
The lips also need sun protection. Moisturize and protect them with this lip balm from Fresh. Beeswax, jojoba oil, black currant seed oil and sugar give this balm its creamy and moisturizing base, while SPF 15 does the job of sun protection. In addition, the balm is available in more than 10 beautiful shades (read: Lips don’t look gray).
5. Best sunscreen primer
a. Full spectrum Matte Ambition Skin Primer SPF 20
For those moments when your makeup needs to last all day, this mattifying primer with SPF is the right choice. It is not white, it goes smoothly and absorbs excess oil. The finish is matte without looking dry. A win-win situation!
B. These Are the Best BB Creams for Dark Skin Tones on the Market
In my research, in total transparency, it was not an easy task to find good BB creams with shadows. Needless to say, more work definitely needs to be done to diversify options for black women. Now that you can’t, let’s move on to what you’re looking for: formulas suitable for brunette girls. BB creams are essentially for the intermediate. You know, those who are not in full coverage formulas, but still want a little help with their skin. The best thing about BB creams – either beauty balms or stain balms – is that they are made with a close-up approach.
BB creams pamper your skin with good things like sun protection, antioxidants and lots, lots of moisture. Basically, a staple for a cold month, they keep your skin glowing all the time. Most formulas are smooth and creamy, so you can easily mix some of them with your hands. Below are our tips for the best BB creams for dark skin tones.
1. Overall, the best: bareMinerals Complexion Rescue moisturizing gel with SPF 30
If you can’t choose between BB cream, CC cream and colorful moisturizer, this multitasking balm may be just what you’ve been waiting for. It has the sensation of gel on the skin and is one of the widest color palettes on the market. BareMinerals keeps you in harmony with natural formulas that contain no harmful fragrances and ingredients.
2. Best for oily skin: CoverGirl Clean Matte BB Cream
This provides a perfect covering mist for a comfortable matte finish. It should smooth your skin without adding shine to keep oil production under control.
3. Best for acne-prone skin: Clinique Acne Solutions BB Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 40
If you don’t seem to be recovering from acne or a shiny T-zone, choose this mattifying BB cream, specifically designed to solve these skin problems. You can expect light to medium coverage that will do a good job of hiding imperfections, but will make you forget that it is there.
4. Best for dark spots: NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30
NARS has always been friendly with brown girls. This soft, velvety texture works well to hide signs of discoloration or dark spots and to hide fine lines and wrinkles.
5. Best drugstore: IMAN Cosmetics Skin Tone Evener BB Cream
Vitamin C is an essential nutrient necessary for the growth and repair of tissues in all parts of the body, including the skin. However, we cannot produce it ourselves. For the skin, it helps promote collagen, relieves discoloration and fights free radicals.
Iman always covered the brunette girls with his perfect dark line. This BB cream is no different and you can be sure that your healthy selection of ingredients will suit even the most sensitive skin. It is a paraben-free blend made with lots of vitamin C and antioxidants to help your skin maintain a youthful appearance with internal lighting.
6. Best coverage: Black Radiance True Complexion BB Creme SPF 15
This beauty balm has been specially developed for darker skin tones with ingredients that enrich the skin that fuse this makeup product into a skin care product. The light, oil-free cover leaves a simple but adjustable finish with SPF 15. You can use this product as a full-complexion intensifier or treat areas that need extra love.
7. Better finish with dew: Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream SPF 35
Plasticizers act as softening and moisture binding agents, such as butter, oils, esters, lipids and fatty acids. It can also be used to describe a category of products that contain these ingredients, such as lotions, creams and ointments.
Smashbox doesn’t joke when it comes to reporting. This BB cream gives you a natural-looking shine as if I had woken up thanks to the shine you get from its emollients and pearl optical pigments. Apply as much as you want. The texture is so creamy that you can even use your hands.
8. Best quality: Bobbi Brown BB Cream SPF 35
Bobbi Brown kept an eye on all colors with this moisturizer. Wrap your skin in moisture with all the emollients contained in this tube. This is essentially a sparkle shot for your skin. It has a moist consistency that keeps sun damage under control.
9. Best CC cream: IT Cosmetics CC + cream with sun protection factor 50+
Although it is technically a CC cream, it gives your skin the warmest hug to create the effect that we all crave so much. It does an exceptional job of leveling your skin tone and working overtime with SP 50 and anti-aging benefits.

Request: It’s me, again! Here is my request: The cast being asked, what the reader smells like and everyone starts joking around but Jack answers right away her perfume’s name. In fact she told them that while filming which is over a year ago and that’s how everyone finds out that he is in love with the reader (or already in a relationship, I let you decide that).
——————
“Hello everyone! Today we’re here with some of the cast from the new movie Dunkirk. Please welcome Tom Glynn-Carney, Harry Styles, Fionn Whitehead, and Jack Lowden!”
Currently you were half-watching the interview on TV as you rushed around your room looking for something to wear.
You were really good friends with these boys, you had met them on the set of your dads new movie Dunkirk. You worked as a costume designer on the movie, and when you weren’t doing that you worked with your dad on set.
Your dad of course was Christopher Nolan, one of the greatest directors of modern cinema.
You were staying in New York with your parents for the time being. When Jack had texted you saying that he and the other boys were going to be in the city, you of course made plans to meet up with them.
The plan was to have breakfast in an hour, right after their interview was done. Which is why you were rushing around your room doing your make-up while only vaguely paying attention to the interview.
But you stopped when your name was mentioned, making you turn to the TV curiously.
“Now we’ve seen through various social media that you boys are pretty close with Chris’ daughter. What’s it like working with Y/N?” The interviewer asked, making you listen intently.
“She’s great!” Fionn stated, making the other boys nod in agreement. “I was really nervous when I first came on set, but she was so outgoing and friendly that she made me feel right at home.”
“Yah, she’s such a sweet lass. Really determined to help her dads film be successful. There were days when she’d jump righ’ in the freezin’ water to help him. Sometimes she’d even do his job fer him. I’d work with her again in a heart beat.” Jack answered, making a wide grin form on your face.
Truth be told you had a little crush on Jack, but you never pursued anything because you figured he’d never like you back. A girl could hope though.
“We all saw the tweet Y/N made about how creeped out you guys made her when you’d sniff her. What was that all about?” The guys all burst into laughter, remembering the day clearly.
“Well it really all started with Harry.” Tom spoke up, sending a brief smile at said boy. “Harry’s got this weird thing with scents, so when he met her all he said was that she smelled good.”
“Hey! She does smell good. You can’t blame me for that!” Harry joked, making the interviewer laugh.
“So naturally everyone on set was curious so we all stopped by to see her so we could smell her.” Tom finished, shrugging his shoulders.
“Apparently it’s not socially acceptable to go around sniffing people. Y/N was so freaked out.” Fionn laughed, making you shake your head slightly.
“I can imagine I would be too. But now I’m curious, what does she smell like?” The interviewer asked, and all four boys chimed in at the same time.
“Roses.”
“Flowers.”
“Sweet.”
“Clinique.”
All heads snapped towards Jack’s at his answer, eyes raised in shock.
“Wha? She told us she wears Clinique happy heart.” Jack defended, looking around at his friends in confusion. You were watching the TV with your mouth dropped open, surprised he remembered that from well over a year ago.
“Mate, she told us that like 15 months ago, how do you remember that?” Harry asked, a smirk spreading slowly across his face.
“I don’ know, good memory I suppose.” He replied, though there was an awkward look growing on his face.
“Liar.” Tom coughed, making Harry and Fionn laugh.
“So what other random facts do you know about Ms. Nolan, Jack?” The interviewer asked, making the boys wiggle their eyebrows at the Scotsman.
“I-Um, well…” Jack was turning into a stuttering mess, completely shocking you. He was usually so composed and put together, even under stressful situations. “She likes ginger tea, she hates coffee unless it’s black. She can’ fall asleep unless the TVs on. Her favorite flowers are sunflowers. And she’s afraid o’ seagulls.”
“Mate, how do you know all this?” Fionn asked, while the rest of the boys stared at Jack in shock. You were stood frozen, a blush forming on your cheeks.
“I um, pay attention?” Jack tried, nibbling on his lip slightly. The other boys started to look smug, as if they knew something he didn’t.
“Yeah, sure. You pay attention.” Harry started, sharing a glance with Fionn and Tom.
“Every minute-”
“Of every day.”
“You can hardly take your eyes off her.”
“Must be why you always made excuses to visit her in her trailer.”
“You like her!”
“Alrigh’! Alrigh’, would ye three shut up?” Jack complained, throwing a hand over his face in embarrassment.
“Okay, let’s just go to the next question…”
A little while later your phone began ringing, causing you to glance at the screen. You noticed Jack was calling, so you instantly picked up.
“You have some explaining to do.” You spoke, talking before he could say a greeting. He sighed over the line, sounding defeated.
“I’m guessin’ ye watched the interview?” He asked, voice cracking ever so slightly in nervousness.
“I did, and we have a lot to talk about.” You replied, a grin taking over your face. “I’m thinking we should ditch the other boys and just go to breakfast ourselves.”
“Are ye askin’ me on a date Ms. Y/N?” Jack teased, sounding much more relaxed.
“I am. Pick me up in 15 minutes perfume boy.”

I was tagged by @ennisgarland and @thefrenchweirdone to answer their 10 question meme so I picked a few from each and blended them together. Thank you for the tag! Sorry it ended up being so long!
10 Questions
1. The very first fanfiction you’ve read: what, when, why, feelings? (tfwo) Rainbow Rowell rec’d lettered’s The Pure and Simple Truth, as her favourite fic on Twitter, and then I read their Another Mask Behind You and it just blew me wide open. Drarry was my first foray into the fic world and I devoured it. It’s hard to underestimate how transformative finding fan fiction was for me. As a kid I used to write it, first with Anne of Green Gables and Little Women, and then later Dawson’s Creek and Clan of the Cave Bear, but I didn’t know it had a name. And I was always so ashamed of it and would write pages and pages of steamy (for young me) romance and then sit there with my cheeks on fire and delete every word so that my parents wouldn’t find it on their computer and read it. So to find it a decade later and find a community who was empowered by it was a revelation. It really did feel like coming home.
First Sherlock fic? A Cure for Boredom and that was it, I was done for. I’d never seen the show, but I knew I had to watch it. Tbh fic is usually my gateway into a show/movie/book. Start with amazing in depth characterisation and then I can watch/read whatever with hidden insight. I also find myself not so tied to outcomes because I already have so many possibilities at my fingertips.
2. Do you wear a fragrance? what’s the scent baby? (Ennis)
Happy by Clinique. I’ve worn it since high school and it’s one of the only perfumes that don’t over whelm me. It’s also a touchstone for me, past, present, future. I love burrowing into scarves and smelling it on the fibres.
3. You are reading a very smutty fic in a public transportation, when suddenly (gasp!) you realize the person next to you is reading over your shoulder… how do you react? (tfwo)
This is actually why I don’t write in public because I hate the feeling of people reading over my shoulder. HATE IT.
4. you already have Christmas-y stuff up? (Ennis)
We do Hannukah and no not yet. We will decorate (inside) this weekend after Thanksgiving is behind us. Hannukah is the second week of December this year so we’ll keep the lights and decorations up until New Years.
5. Which Hogwarts house are you in? How do you feel about it? (tfwo)
Proud Hufflepuff right here. It couldn’t be more correct and I’m perfectly content with it.
6. share your favourite quick dinner recipe? (Ennis)
Giada’s simple tomato sauce is my staple. It’s vegetarian and the most delicious spaghetti sauce I’ve ever had. I don’t simmer it for an hour like she suggests (20 minutes while the water boils and noodles cook is perfectly fine) and I add some brown sugar to the sauce to make it a bit sweeter, but I use my food processor and it’s super quick and easy and scrumptious. (And my kids will eat it) It’s also easy to add meat or meatballs (Giada’s turkey meatballs are actually really yummy) or other veggies to as well.
7. Last movie you’ve watched in a theatre? (tfwo)
Kingsman 2, The Golden Circle. I love Kingsman for its spectacle and its tongue in cheek parody of spy movies. I also wrote a bunch of Hartwin fic this summer and fell in love with Harry and Eggsy hard. I have this idea for a fic about Harry the lepidopterist that I’d love to write someday.
8. what did you have the last time you went out for dinner? (Ennis)
Pizza. Specifically this cippolini onion, bacon, mozzarella, arugula piece of heaven.
Oh, I love pizza so much. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
9. Ever shaved your hair (or part of it)? Would you? (tfwo)
Nope, but I did get a Brazilian wax once and never will again. The experience was painful, but nothing compared to the subsequent weeks of fire ants in my drawers and the itching, oh god, the itching. I don’t think I’d ever shave my head, but I’d love love love to try a pixie cut someday soon.
10. worst job? (Ennis)
For a short time in college I worked as a fundraiser who had to call alumni and ask for donations and I hated it, hated it, hated it. I am not a natural salesperson, am painfully shy if I don’t know the person, am super awkward, and I don’t like talking on the phone. It was a nightmare. I lasted two weeks.
Hey @mandysimo13, @lawyermargo @happierstill @conversationswithjohnlock @girlwhowearsglasses @violyntfemme @starrla89 @agenttanha @violetwylde @missmuffin221
you guys want to answer these ten since I have to go and can’t come up with my own right now?
