Post and spread awareness of things such as what to boycott, things happening in Palestine, things about hamas that have proven to be false and so on. Israel has started paying people to leave zionist comments on false accounts which means clearly social media has affected their support)

I know you may think “i’m just one person, how can I make a difference” but consider the difference that would be made if thousands of people did this, plus it’s the bare minimum.

Is this an "I have written too much Java" emotion or an "I refuse to touch Java" emotion?

I am, perhaps, overstating my aversion to the language - I don't really hate Java, I just don't find it terribly fun to work in (although it's been years since the last time I had to, so maybe IDE advances have made it more palatable now). I've worked on some Java projects that were quite well put together, but I've also seen my share of code with types like ProducerFactory<FactoryProducer, IGatewayFactoryFactory>.

In general if speed is not an essential part of a project I prefer to write in Python for its terseness and extremely effective syntactic sugar (context managers, generators, etc.), and if speed IS essential then various C variants, Rust, or even Go will almost certainly outperform Java. So it's not entirely clear to me why Java is still used outside of legacy code.

Homemaker Daily Productivity

The storm is clearing. The setting sun catches the drops from the trees, the overgrown bush, and the corner of the roof, turning them silver as they fall.

The day has been good now that I view it from my couch having closed the computer, the oven, the work.

Fatigue began the day, but I moved slow and found great comfort and encouragement in this article:

Past-me reminding today-me of the big picture. Fortified, I got the house open, housekeeping chores done, chili made all while listening to the Homemaker Chic podcast. I took a break to further corrupt a friend into the Stargate-Atlantis fandom before tackling the office work of bills, receipts, emails, statements, reconciling, and odds and ends.

The day was brightened by my birthday present arriving.

I'm going to call him the Black Rabbit of Inlé. Yes, I know he's blue. Sue me. Tomorrow, since I have to run more errands than errand day, I'm going to get him some sunflowers.

The day finished with fresh, quick bread and bacon for dinner, his in a fritatta, mine with cabbage.

So, while "office" work and budget work aren't my favorite. It was a good day.
