#welcome to the party!!!#jfc I am UPSET over this /pos#as for reccommendations uhhhhhh#depends on what you're in the mood for tbh#you want goofy fun-times (with the odd horror scene coming out of nowhere)? G1 and Cyberverse S2+ would be my recs#Earthspark could also fit into that category but I struggle to rec it because it's mostly about non-legacy characters + is inconsistent#I like ES but there are a lot of reasons not to that go beyond just people being bigots about it. Plus there's a MAJOR drop in#its already inconsistent quality in S2. so just be aware of that. Cyberverse is also inconsistent but its not trying to be deep or whatever#you want to see something a bit more serious but still ultimately chill? Prime is a good starting point#it (mostly) focuses on legacy characters and has a good blend of serious moments and fun times. I WOULD note that#does not even try to be nuanced about the conflict. they like pay lip service to the idea that Megatron was fighting for equality at first#but it is genuinely so irrelevant that the fucking movie that serves as Prime's ending forgets about it#the decepticons are just evil guys with like 2 exceptions and even THOSE are debatable. and I'm fine with that because sometimes#a good old conflict between good and evil really does it for me. plus the dynamic between OP and Megatron goes CRAZY#you want a very serious meditation on war + characters that definitely feels like it was written for adults? look to the comics!#IDW is a very inconsistent beast but when it's good it is IMO the best transformers media you're gonna get. find a reading list#and DO NOT READ SPOTLIGHT ARCEE GENUINELY JUST DON'T. IDW is the one that made me insane so I AM biased towards it#Skybound is ongoing with new issues roughly every month and it is incredible so far. it is a work very concerned with its themes#and DWJ is just so fucking good at his job. if you want something that will be updated consistently then this is your go-to#...and also I really like Skybound and I want it to do well

#i missed the poll :-(#but I'm of the opinion that Megatron fell first (at first more as a passing crush and then as he grew to understand Rodimus better#he fully fell in love.) and Rodimus realized he was in love with Megatron basically the moment he came back from the other universe#at which point he fell HARD. he resolved to speedrun an ideal romance with Megatron even if they only had a very short time together#...which only made things hurt more in the long run after Megs was executed but hey you can't blame a bot for trying
