*feral* the show is so good, excellently paced and well-acted…. plus, it has all the stuff we enjoy the most:

whump, crime family, family drama, daddy issues (MAJOR!), mommy issues (MAJOR!), well-done action sequences, trauma, “protect the family” sense of duty mindset, lots of baking (by my poor blorbo charles as a coping mechanism), sibling issues, oldest son vs youngest son dynamic (- two brothers, who have both spent their lives competing for attention, approval, and freedom; in their own different ways -), conflicted tortured oldest son, did i mention major daddy/mommy issues and PLENTY OF THE GOOD OL’ EMOTIONAL WHUMP.

and oh their troubled mother is played by THEE MICHELLE YEOH !!!!!!! ✨MOTHER✨

ahhhh charles, his father brainwashed him, turned him into a ruthless killer and put him through so much trauma. my man just wants to have a normal life, bake pastries etc and reconnect with his mother and brother. like look at him (HE NEEDS A HUG AND SEVERAL CHURROS)

i am a sucker for this type of genre. 10/10 no notes. HIGHLY RECOMMEND MY FRIENDS, GO WATCH IT 🎉.

Listen I know people have already talked about this dynamic at length but I’m never shutting the fuck up about this scene.

This shit rewired my brain in middle school. This is, no contest, the flattest version of Knives, but the tension is delicious. “I’m scared, hold my hand, you’re the only one alive who could possibly understand You don’t understand at all, and I have to deal with you and your bullshit and all of the people you’ve hurt.” They’re nothing like each other and they are exactly the fucking same. They’re both so deeply fucked up that this is the only vulnerability they’ll allow themselves- there’s no way other people could understand it. A century is a long time. I have a lot of incoherent thoughts about it.

If the RCTs have a theme (not like, the theme songs from the Safety Series), what would be its general vibes, genre, and instruments used.

I can imagine Amber having violins in her soundtrack, while Jin could use some turmoil of pressure in there. Helly's will have some feel of childhood things, while at the same time overshadowed by having to have responsibility and a purpose.

just imagining how frightening it would be to be out in public and perhaps doing things that are normal, even though you are a career criminal (or, your character is, more like. and particularly in the DC verse), but then you hear people suddenly start gasping around you. and how is someone going to ignore something like that? so, you stop doing what you're doing and then, things just get more strange because you see what almost looks like people seeming to clear a way for someone. thus, you've FINALLY turned around at this point and all you see is this otherworldly looking woman with green skin wearing a bunny mask, whom is dragging a dead body with them and has abruptly dropped it at the end of all of these people around you. and at first, you think, what the hell is going on? should i start running? because she certainly doesn't look friendly.

but then thing's just get worse because this bunny mask clad person, or whatever they may be, is looking at you straight in the eyes and yeppp... this is your cue to start running. but just imagine ALL of the tension that would be building up in a scene like this while this opposing criminal character, whoever they may be, hears people react and that's the ONLY reason why they even had a chance to run away from bunny mask. like OMG. and a chase scene afterward??? this is now going on my wishlist because, god damn, can bunny mask be intimidating. but i'd love to be able to roleplay her more ' brutal ' side with someone even so
