ABOUT THE COMIC

🐠 This is a completed Legend of Zelda fan comic that takes places after the events of the game Tears of the Kingdom, specifically after my main comic Shadow Out of Time (on hiatus). A Labour of Love focused on the good people of Zora's Domain and their struggles to coexist with other less-friendly Domains. The comic started as a romantic comedy and has since evolved into a sort of interactive political drama with romantic elements. It started at the beginning of May 2024 and finished near the end of November 2024!

🐟 Collaboration and interactivity were important features of the comic: fan OCs were regularly included, and major plot decisions have been influenced by readers.

🦀 During the Rescue chapter, I received rude messages which I addressed here. Here's a post on online etiquette I find very helpful, and another that I think is even better!

🦀🦀 I was later accused of intellectual property theft, which I take very seriously. Here's a more comprehensive post with a log, timelines evidence, etc. My friend and I were bullied online because of this, and as a result I decided to retire my blog and essentially leave the website after I had completed the comic.

🦀🦀🦀 Highlighting issues and drama is uncomfortable! But I believe being 100% transparent is the ethical thing to do. The point of the comic was for people to come together to work on something wonderful! So, exposing the ugly parts rather than hiding them is awkward, but necessary.

Can you believe it-- the comic is finished!? It's been a long haul and I'm really proud of what's been accomplished. Thanks for reading and sticking with it, everyone. It's been a wild ride.

Epilogue: Life's a Beach At Toma's encouragement, Esis decides a visit to Lurelin is exactly what he needs to relax. And what could be more relaxing than balmy breezes, the relaxing sounds of the waves, delicious food, and the good company of friends? The Lurelin gang catches up, and another village resident comes by to check in on them. Ifora has only heard stories of Esis' grand adventure through Toma and Quita. It's like meeting a celebrity! Toma and Quita belong to junco8 Esis belongs to werewolfsister Ifora belongs to me (capybonara)

Epilogue: Seafaring Friends Elsewhere in Hyrule, others were returning to the status quo of their lives, with the exception of some small changes! Keiger comes across two new faces every so often when visiting Castov. The shy and reclusive Abnistes has found an unlikely friend in the large blind zora, and the fact he won't die from his electrical abilities s a plus! After saving his life, Les also comes by to chat with Castov, and he doesn't mind Abnistes company either, provided they keep a safe distance! Keiger, Castov and Les belong to werewolfsister Abnistes belongs to splendidcitrus-arts

Toma always likes to keep Quita updated on everything that happens in the Domain. He's like her personal news deliverer.

Anyway, back to the ol' grind!

Epilogue: A Healing Respite Sardon was familiar with the Hebra region from his previous explorations into Hyrule so he decided to make a stop at the Sturnida hot springs. Someone his size couldn't fully submerge into the healing pools, but it was still relaxing. There were a few more places he wanted to visit before heading back. Even by exploring the wilds Sardon managed to collect a fair amount of items he thought -- hoped -- Sona would enjoy.

Epilogue: Welcome Winds Thankfully, Sardon had no trouble reaching Rito Village. He heard stories from his brother about their lovely home and he was looking forward to meeting them. The Rito, in turn, were excited to meet him too! If anyone knew about courtship rituals it would be them! They made sure to give him plenty of impressive gifts for Sona along with tons of advice on how to please her, all gracefully accepted by a blushing Sardon. Tulin mistook Sardon as Cironus at first and was excited to reunite with a friend again. Despite the mix up, both Teba and Tulin said any friend (or relative) of Cironus would be welcome to their village.

Epilogue: Won't Skirt the Issue Following Hyrule's water ways, Sardon arrives at Outskirt Stable and speaks with the owners there. Stories and news are exchanged and the owners and customers are supportive of his goal to court Sona. Everyone pitches in to offer various curios to add to his pack! The stable owners point him towards a new direction and Sardon bids goodbye and heads out, bolstered by this positive encounter.

Epilogue: An Unlikely Visitor The first stop on Sardon's journey is Lookout Landing! They are used to seeing all kinds of folk pass by, but it's not often a giant zorca comes a-calling! He speaks with the guards (as he's too large to step through the gates) and they're kind enough to give him instructions on where he can go to find the things he's looking for.

Epilogue: I became a hero to serve you Sardon sets off on his trip. There is time before his pod leaves for Akkala so he turns his attention towards inland Hyrule. His talk with Elfin gave him an idea which will require him to search past his ocean home. He's bound and determined to impress Sona, and prove how committed he is to having her in his life.

Epilogue: It's over, isn't it?

With political affairs finally settled, those involved are ready to put it behind them and move on. Well...maybe not everyone. Cironus faces his own issues regarding closure. Being near Zora's Domain brought up painful memories, but he will have to deal with them another time...

Epilogue (Guest Artist)

With their diplomatic duties complete and overdue to return to their Domain, Silvyr takes a brief, but much needed, respite within Zora's Domain before bidding all those they have come to know farewell.

Finding a special fondness for the Zorca and Zora they cooperated with, they choose to keep correspondence with two special individuals. Sending letters on a regular basis to:

Sona;

and Kaska.

A journey over, perhaps, but new experiences gained and bonds forged.

Folks I would be m o r t i f i e d! mortified! if a supporter/follower/friend sent hate mail to anyone-- even someone I were fighting with.

Like I said before, you're entitled to your opinions & you have the freedom to express them-- but why on earth would you send messages designed only to hurt someone else, not critique their behavior in a way where you actually want them to change?

I've been criticized for how I handled @kenneduck and I respect, if disagree with, those opinions. Regardless of your stance on the feud, hopefully no one claims I engaged in hateful, vitriolic attacks meant to cut down and demoralize others like what's happening to @tides-that-bind-us. I find it telling that one side is still harassing us even though our own side has continued moving forward without any bullying.

We are being bullied! That's the truth of the matter. Maybe you don't like me, but you hopefully like @tides-that-bind-us/@capybonara --please, do what you can and show support for her. And, if you have anger or upset to direct at someone, it should not be anyone other than myself. If you have a problem, you need to bring it up with me.

There are a ton of lovely people in this community and I do want to acknowledge them. Thank you for being nothing but positive with us.

The comic is almost done, just a few more days! Let's hang in there, shall we?

Epilogue: A Little Chat

uwaaaaaaa ohh nooo don't cry! It's ok! Maybe kisses and snuggles will help?

The zorca migrate along the coast of Hyrule so there's a buffer between pods, and Sardon's pod has long overstayed their welcome. The citizens of Zora's domain certainly don't mind them staying around, but duty calls.

...did you know orca sometimes sneakily steal adopt other cetacean babies? Maybe one of the ladies in the pod is lookin' at Sona like "you may be a little old but.... you can still be my baby!!" Uh oh.

->Let me know! I can't act on your behalf, but if someone is directing malice towards you, I'd like to help however possible.

->Report the harassment to Tumblr! If you have proof of who it is-- I don't know if it's possible to report anonymous users.

->Turn off anonymous asks! People feel more emboldened to bully when their identity is hidden.

The comic is almost over and regardless of your stance, bullying is a low blow used by people who want to cause harm. We all have the right to express our opinion, but it's obvious when a person expresses that opinion positively vs. a person who is sending a message to cause unhappiness.

Don't be one of those people; and if you know someone who is, I think it's our duty as human beings to tell them to knock it off. We were all assumedly taught if we didn't have anything nice to say, not to say anything at all.

I think its REALLY insensitive of you to still be part of that persons comic because of what happened. I used to like your art but I cant follow you anymore I hope you grow up and stop being such a faker.

I don't respond to negative anons because there really is no point (you dont feed the trolls) but this is ridiculous. Im putting this here, not for attention or support, but for a record.

Last time I got a message on my main blog regarding my collaboration with werewolfsister, but I deleted it because it wasn't an anon. I took off the option to send asks there. Im not going to do the same thing here.

If you want to make a fuss about this don't be surprised if I make one right back. This here isn't some fandom discourse this is straight up bullying tactics.
