i just came across on my dashboard a whump blog that has several whump compilation posts on their page; they definitely used MY gifs (and pretty sure from other gifmakers too) w/out giving any credit. making it seem like they made the gifs.
i honestly don’t mind people using my gifs BUT at least show courtesy to credit me aka the owner. it’s about respect. also, you can literally reblog the posts instead of reposting them. it’s already hard these days for gifmakers’ posts to get decent engagement/reblog (the reblogs are getting fewer and fewer). it’s hella discouraging to see gifs that you worked really hard on just stolen and reposted. it’s not okay!!!
