And no, most antis don't go out of their way to harass you. They mostly block the people they dislike so that the proshippers don't get the chance to interact. The ones that do interact with the people they dislike are just wasting their own time. I suggest that you don't waste your time with them either.

That one time I had to interact is when I asked one of my followers if they're a proshipper or not (they were, so I blocked them). Here are some examples of the most popular dogshit excuses they use to try to make themselves look as innocent as possible.

Excuse #1: "They're not real, so why does it bother you?"

Excuse #2: "Fiction doesn't affect reality. It can't hurt you."

While it's true to some certain extent, the way it's used in this argument makes it worse. Again, it doesn't give you the excuse to worship pedophilia and other problematic ships that shouldn't be normalized. Fiction or not, some things shouldn't be shared at all.

Excuse #3: "This is just my coping mechanism."

I'm sorry, but this is one of thee most shittiest excuses I've ever heard in my life! In fact, the term 'excuse' is too kind for this. What's another word to describe this bullshit? Glorifying problematic ships is not a healthy way of coping. Why? Because you're manipulating your brain into thinking that whatever traumatic experience you went through should be romanticized. No normal person would do that to themselves and justify it.

Excuse #4: "If you don't like it, just block them."

I do. Like I previously said, I don't waste my time on these people. I want them to stay as far away from me as possible as much as I stay away from them. However, fantasies the proshippers have shouldn't be shared as a normal factor. It's okay to write about dark topics, what's NOT okay is romanticizing/normalizing it.

Anonymous sent: I'm a "recovering radqueer" but I still use transIDs, even the "harmful" ones like transabled and transharmed/ful. They're the only words that meaningfully describe my experience. The anti-transition stance of Dissomei just doesn't work for me when I fully intend to remove an eye and I know nobody in that community would approve. I want to get away from the radqueer community but they are the only ones who will accept me. Every anti-radqueer blog I talk to just spits slurs and tells me to kill myself over my identity. Do you have any advice? Other labels that aren't anti-transition? Blogs that are pro-transID but anti radqueer that I can interact with to separate myself from all the abusers in the RQC?

Hey there, I'm sorry to hear that you've been told to kill yourself. I don't believe anyone deserves that and that's not fair to you.

I can absolutely understand wanting to still use transIDs, and the reasons you gave definitely are common. It sounds like you have some serious intentions, and while obviously I don't want anyone to harm themselves in general, I do also acknowledge that serious dysphoria makes it feel unavoidable. It reminds me a lot, in fact, of people with BID who have performed self amputation. At the end of the day, everyone deserves a chance to be happy - so don't worry, no judgement on that end.

Whether or not your wants/needs are understood by others, it’s important to honor that you’re experiencing something very real that makes you feel connected to these identities. The language you use to describe your experience doesn’t have to come from a bigoted/harmful place. It does suck, though, when it feels like there aren't exactly the right words to describe your identity. :(

Identity-wise:

Some people do genuinely use "transabled" in a 100% good-faith, non-radqueer-associated way. As far as I'm aware, this originated in the BID community, so if it's possible you may fit that disorder's criteria, you could switch to identifying as that. A 100% good-faith, non-radqueer-associated way transabled person. There's even a pride flag for this by antiradqueer if you like.

I recently heard of the term "dysfirming" to be a substitute for "transitioning" that applies to some atypical dysphoria-influenced identities. I don't know if this would be a helpful term?

I would suggest looking into communities focused on body mods, body autonomy, trauma recovery, and identity exploration. Find forums, Discords, Subreddits, etc, and see if it's a space you can vibe with. I think you could potentially find some people who think similarly to you. If you want me to specifically look and link you to some places, feel free to send another ask.

Dissomei as a term actually isn't anti transition! You can see a couple of quotes from the creator on this page, and one mentions that even amputations are accepted. Of course, it'll always be up to you what term you want to use.

Find a therapist if you haven't already. I know, you've probably heard "get therapy!!!" a lot, haha, but I don't mean "get into therapy so they can make you stop identifying the way that you do". A truly good therapist would be someone you can trust to talk about how you feel and that includes being transID. And they could also direct you to any local IRL groups that might be good places to hang out!

I think the issues and hate surrounding the radqueer community mostly come from a confusion between “all identities are valid” and “all behaviour (related to valid identities) is valid”

Like for example, the difference between identifying as transharmful(I also have thoughts about this transx format but that’s a different conversation), and wanting to “transition” by harming someone. I, as a killer sans fictive, could be considered transharmful because of my pseudo memories of harming people, and I don’t think it’s bad to see that as a fully valid part of my identity. But obviously the behaviour of harming someone else to try to turn that internal experience into an external one should never be encouraged.

(This is one reason I think the transx format for these labels isn’t great, because the word trans is obviously strongly associated with transgender people which is an issue because physical transition is often necessary for transgender people’s health, whereas physical transition for most trans ids is not a realistic or healthy goal. Of course there is also social transition, but generally when people hear transition they think of physical transition. It would be better to use different terminology that doesn’t have those associations, similarly to how therian and otherkin communities have their own terminology even though their experiences can be similar.)

I think the radqueer community’s trash reputation is probably the result of a lot of trolls pretending to genuinely be radqueer supporting horrible things, misguided people who have genuinely good intentions but the way they approach or present things is bad and/or makes them look really bad, and then people with good intentions and a good approach that don’t get talked about because they are inoffensive and outsiders just want drama.

I think there’s a lot of young and neurodivergent people in both of the more genuine catagories, and that probably contributes to these issues.

Overall I think the radqueer community is a “good idea, bad execution” kind of thing. I think there are ways to do “all good faith identities are valid” right, but between the bad reputation and the many issues within the community itself(again, I think mostly the identities vs identities and behaviours thing), I don’t think the term “radqueer” is really viable anymore and it’s probably best for people with genuine intentions to find similar terms and communities that don’t have those issues.

This is all based on what I’ve seen on Tumblr in like.. the last two months or so (we literally never heard of radqueer before we started using Tumblr more recently) of seeing “radqueers dni” in 90% of ppls intros and having no idea why. So we looked up definitions, tried to look at the actual radqueer community, and arguments for and against a bunch of radqueer related stuff. We are absolutely not an expert on this stuff, this is just the little scraps we’ve finally started piecing together to start to maybe understand some of this. There’s a good chance we’re totally wrong, and we’re open to being corrected on stuff.

I also wanna add another note here though, I think the hate towards radqueers is massively disproportionate. From what I’ve seen the radqueer community is really small, and 90% of the posts I’ve seen related to it are just coining posts for obscure terms. Not exactly something I would think would be worth being so well known and so intensely hated. We all know the internet has weird stuff on it, I don’t know why this particular category of weird is considered so much more important than the others.

Hello! I wouldn't call myself an anti, I'm more or less just morbidly curious about your community but would never personally join it based on my own standing on a lot of what you guys accept, though I don't think a lot of what you guys are doing is really that harmful to others so I don't really? Hate the community? Idk. I just have a question I wished to ask as I'm curious, answer if you want you can tell me to fuck off as well.

Mainly I'm just curious on what made you decide to become a radqueer, and perhaps how you figured out what you're experiencing is a 'transid'. I myself am a part of a system so I do feel more connected with some basic transid's I won't lie, but I really don't grasp trans disabilities or mental illnesses in the slightest, why would you want something like that? Not to be rude just extremely curious. Or trans races or ethnicities.

F; Anya, Curly, Jimmy Honestly we only really got into the radqueer community when our partner kind of became hyperfixated on it. We were very anti and thought transids were just an excuse for people to be racist and abelist but as he read me some transid's some alters of ours started heavily latching to them and finding comfort in the labels. Our opinions on radqueer do tend to vary from alter to alter though. Some alters, like our Swansea for example, think it is kind of stupid. Our collective stance on it is the same as our stance on shipping though: Who the fuck cares? If it isn't hurting anyone then what is the problem? ALSO there are many reasons someone may identify with transids. The obvious answer would be they want to but for some transids like in our experience (which of course is not universal) some of our alters identify as TransRaped even if we had those experiences bodily. It gives us a sense of power over that experience. It's weird but it has heavily aided in our healing over it. Another example is how we identify as TransWheelchairUser, we are quite possibly going to be an ambulatory wheelchair user in the future and to cope with that harsh reality we are taking the fear and negativity away by just accepting it as a positive and looked forward to experience. Not every transid we have it explainable though. Take Strawberrycremescentian for example; We just want to smell like strawberry's and cream! Or GlitterBodic; We just want our blood to be glittery! Some ids are just for fun! To be honest; as an alter I don't get it that much but as I said: It's not hurting anyone. If one of us wants to go by PermaStoner or TransHarmed then so be it. I really enjoyed this question tbh please don't feel afraid to ask for clarification or anything :)

Genuine question (and if you’d rather not answer, by all means ignore me) what is a transprogrammer? What is transharmful? I read your whole post but I’m not versed in this sort of discourse so it only kinda makes sense.

It's alright I actually really appreciate it! The discourse isn't that well known— for good reason honestly lmfao. It's a chronically online kind of topic. I'm gonna put this under a read more, because it's a bit long and touches lightly on RAMCOA/OEA (ritual abuse, (torture-based) mind control, organized abuse / organized and extreme abuse)

Transharmful identities are radqueer/transID labels in which someone identifies as wanting to be or believes they should be an identity that is harmful, i.e someone who's a "transprogrammer" wants to be/believes they should be a RAMCOA programmer. A couple reasons I've gathered why someone might ID with this label specifically is they could be a programmed system who has a part(s) that's an internal (re)programmer, or they believe they collectively would have been programmed to become a programmer; but I'm not exactly sure why else someone (who hasn't gone through RAMCOA/OEA) would identify with the label outside of "transRAMCOA" BS and/or wanting to have a sense of belonging and acceptance. Which is the core reasoning I think radqueers do what they do.

Now, I don't know how much I should elaborate on why this label is such a kick in the face for people who have survived TBMC (which includes us) when actual programmers literally torture children to create what is essentially extreme & hyperspecific trauma responses. But I can say that having a transharmful identity is a whole lot of crackpot shit of accepting something potentially harmful about yourself when you... should detest it. Heavily. You shouldn't accept that you want to be or "should have been" a programmer. You shouldn't accept internal (re)programmers as "real programmers", because they aren't. They only reinforce already-created programs in the system— thus why I added the "(re)" part— and they themselves break down after enough time of the body not being externally progged. Because TBMC is an extreme form of conditioning, and conditioning starts to... y'know. Not work if it isn't reinforced.

It isn't a constructive way to combat either external and/or internal problems, another example being someone with NPD identifying as "transmanipulator" or something alike because their disorder is stigmatized as being manipulative and abusive. Which, in of itself, a kick in the face to people w/ NPD. Because that's accepting a harmful stereotype as "true" and could also easily lead to some type of internalized hatred towards their NPD down the line. But I'm just hypothesizing at this point, I think.

radqueer stands for radical queer and basically accepts ALL identities. im not against being who you are but radqueer go into dangerous & harmful territory; such as endorsing harmful paraphilias and encouraging it, transid people are also considered rq (transid is basically people who are for example transrace, saying theyre another race than the one theyre born, and so on), and some even decide to pretty much fetishize mental illness and/or trauma (seen people who claim to have “trans”ramcoa “trauma” despite never going through such a horrible thing, just because ‘they feel like it’), and it’s just not a good community in my opinion. the majority of them are proshippers too. there’s reasons i want to stay away from them😅 but don’t worry if you have no idea what radqueer is (prior to this post anyway), you probably don’t fit with their kind. hope this makes sense! my explanation isn’t the best, sorry!
