robin and luffy's dynamic needs to be talked about. they're sooo underrated together!!

she never hits him

she finds him cute and tolerates his childlike shenanigans (luffy's such a goofball of sunshine and she very clearly loves that)

it's a given for every strawhat but because luffy gave her freedom, she trusts him as the captain with all her heart

let's not forget that luffy almost read a book because of her (it was mostly because he was bored but i digress 😂)!! he was even curious about the rainbow mist and its legends.

the thing that i love about them is that they carry this air of innocence, although robin's more internalized.

aside from robin's dark humor, her and luffy almost share the same mindset. she can understand him and his thoughts!

entry 1: she used pineapple to describe marco and he immediately remembered him 😭

not to mention her imagination is also that of a child's, like when luffy said 'dressroba' and she immediately thought of an old woman in a dress 😭😭😭 or in thriller bark, where she thought of cats when they knew kuma's paw-paw fruit.

point is, she lives her lost childhood through luffy's childlike wonder. even if she's like the mom of the crew, her inner child definitely heals through him.

I genuinely believe if Usopp said “you’re telling me a shrimp fried this rice?” at dinner, Sanji would be the one laughing the loudest. You think he’s ever heard that joke before? Absolutely not. He’s been hearing bawdy sailor jokes from the guys at the Baratie but he’s never heard a simple word play joke. He makes shrimp fried rice again a week later and laughs just as hard when Luffy says it.
