Look What the Keto Diet Did to a Good Heart Surgeon, Dr Philip Ovadia!
Dr. Ovadia Is the Keto-Carnivore Crusader Who Conquered Obesity! Once upon a time, in a far land where carbs reigned supreme, good doctor Philip Ovadia was just a regular guy facing an epic battle: the War on Obesity. Still feeling poorly. Still getting on with life as usual. I had my "curl up in my oodie, eat all the fruit and veggies with wikd abandon and whimper" day yesterday.
Back on track today. I've got a bad cold. I'm not dying!!
Tiny bit off my macros. Blame the cappuccino, lol. And I'm using psyllium husk to throw some fibre in.
MyFitnessPal uses total carbs for the percentages, so in reality those numbers will be different. I'm not so obsessive that I'm going to pay a premium subscription for any tracker to use NET carbs!
I add that lower section myself, to get the NET result.
So no, I'm not well. And yes, I'm doing what I do most of the time- carrying on regardless 😊👍
The top pics are from my latest YouTube workout. I'm just uploading it.

CZ is very happy because I’m eating leftover ice cream cake and he got a tiny bit of whipped cream from it as a treat
#(I looked it up. it’s non toxic to cats#and google just says to give it in moderation because it’s high cal and has no nutritional value)#he’s already fat (said lovingly). a little treat won’t hurt him#the beast#food

Day 60 Without Carbs
It is day 60 on the Carnivore diet! I feel great. I have lost approximately 21 pounds. My joints are feeling better, and I am no longer having so many cravings for junk food. I have been exercising for a little over a month (walking mostly). I have also started lifting weights, which I think I mentioned in my last post, and I have plenty of energy. This feels different. The last time I…

the western diet is so fucked up dude like i know how and why it got like this but man it is just so so so bad for you
#i didnt think i ate all that poorly#and then i was forced onto essentially a mediterranean diet to lower my sky-high cholesterol levels#and having to cut out full-fat dairy and red meat and eggs and fried foods and baked goods and coconut cream/milk etc#and having to look carefully over nutrition facts labels and just being flabbergasted by the numbers next to Sat Fat#i mean its just insane and most people dont even know or realize or think about it#cause its just such a typical usamerican diet and nutrition education here is dogshit#but ya gotta love capitalism and its endless pursuit of making things as tasty and addicting as possible for money#whether that means killing people or not

I know posts aren’t written with a universal audience in mind and that when people make posts like this they are probably not talking to me but
I HATE posts that are phrased to talk to everyone and say shit like “you NEED to be eating X”
shut up! you do not know a persons needs. just saw one that even went so far as to say they didn’t care if a person has a condition that makes it hard. shut up shut up! things that are healthy for most people are not necessarily good for everyone! like. my body does not tolerate cellulose. it makes me throw up. I can only tolerate vegetables in very specific circumstances, and I’m even then I will, not might, WILL, throw up part of the meal. I also receive premade meals in the mail as a disability accommodation. These meals are inevitably designed to cater to the Healthy Diet For Everyone. and as a result, I can’t eat like half of every single one because it’s steamed vegetables that will make me sick. nothing I can even do about it. it’s not possible to receive medical meals for MY medical needs. not to mention all the other stuff they send me that is prohibited for me (whole grain bread —I’m on a low fiber diet. milk —lactose intolerant. pineapple fruit/juice —allergic. tomatoes…allergic again.)
idk man it is an active problem in my life that everything presumes there is only one way to be healthy. I’m so sick of dealing with it. I DONT want to see it on tumblr too! leave nutrition advice to people’s doctors!!!
#rant#disability#actually disabled#actual diet advice from MY doctors that actually know me:#low fiber (GI specialist) high sodium (cardiologist and geneticist) drink lemonade instead of water (urologist)#reduce vegetable consumption (GI) drink high calorie beverages to supplement calorie intake (GI)#the only ‘normal’ advice was to avoid large amounts of fat#which I do because it makes me as sick as the vegetables#stop presuming you know what’s good for people!#I watch my bf do caretaker training videos to hired to care for me and the nutrition and meal planning section was all the same shit#I cannot express enough that if you try to make me live on high fiber and meals that are half steamed veggies with water to drink and#no salt#I will become malnourished#I will throw up so much that I lose weight and lose cognitive function#I will start collapsing whenever I stand up#and I will become so bloated that I only try to eat once a day#I know this because I’ve been there already due to stupid doctors that tried to shove me into a one size fits all diet#it was the most miserable time of my life#toward the end I was only able to stomach cups of tuna#i developed an aversion to eating in general bc I had linked the act of eating with being sick#I lost like 30 pounds in two months#sorry if I take the subject a little personal

I've been a bit "meh" these past few days, but I am saying meh to being meh 😋.
Carrying on regardless is my ethos!
So I posted this morning about my 15hr fast time. That's right for me.
I broke that after my first workout of three.
I'm doing really well with my macros. Sticking to two out of three of the "ketobiotic" principles from the first Mindy Pelz book I read. 50g max NET carbs and 60% min healthy fats. I'm not concerned about the protein amount she recommends. 50 to 75g. That's just too low for me personally.
Especially now I'm back into real weight training!
Day one of my new programme.
Ooh it felt good. Well, those inverted rows didn't.....😂.
Literally years since I did any of them!
The programme had band assisted pull ups, but I can't do them. No equipment. This was the next best thing.
I've also put a fitness plan together for the week. That is always going to have to be open to having to modify or switch days. I can't predict a whole week 100% exactly. Probably will go like that, but have to be prepared to change things slightly. So "Pffft" mood or not, I'm happy with my day 😌

The Benefits of Keto Meal.
Introduction to the Keto Diet
The Ketogenic diet, for short is a low carb, high-fat diet that aims at changing the body's fuel source from carbohydrates to fats. The metabolic state that results from burning fat for energy is termed ketosis; it results from the burning of fat for energy in the production of ketones.
Why people use the keto diet
1. Weight Loss: burn fat efficiently through the reduction of carbohydrate intake.
2. Blood Sugar Management: the keto diet can stabilize glucose and insulin levels.
3. Cognitive Benefits: many claim improved Focus and mental clarity.
4. Energy Boost: Ketones provide a reliable energy supply, and there will be no sugar crash.
The central keto diet principle is to have about 70% of fats, 20-25% proteins, and 5-10% carbs.
Benefits of Keto Meal
Long term Weight Loss A keto meal is a very effective method in controlling hunger because insulin is stabilized.
You can keep your appetite for much longer time, and your blood sugar rollercoaster ride prevents cravings because you tend to lose less weight if your diet is fluctuated with constant sugar level peaks and drops. Sharp Brain Function and Focus Ketones are a supply of energy for the brain stable source of. Unlike carbohydrates whose level fluctuate constantly throughout the day; hence, there is neither morning mental fog nor depression or brain fuziness.
Improved Blood Glucose Control Ketogenic diet meals help subjects of type 2 diabetics or in-insulin resistance by ensuring lessened blood glucose. Furthermore, insulin sensitivity goes better since there exists lower levels of carbohydrates input, thereby reducing quick jump of blood sugar rate in the blood that sometimes is hazardous to bodies as they cause very risky levels of blood Sustained Energy Endurance Fat is one good energy source compared with carbs.
Many Dieters have experienced constant stream levels of energy to flow during their entire lifetime the day without the mid-afternoon crash. Reducing Inflammation Low-carb diets are correlated with decreased levels of chronic inflammation. Most people find relief from issues like joint pain and migraines when adopting a low-carb lifestyle. How to Live Keto Meal Planning
