Wonderbat (Diana/Bruce)

Literally my first ship, imagine her wearing a pantsuit and him in a dress at a gala. Honestly one the cutest couples here. DC are cowards for not making them canon. Also she doms him.

I head canon Selina as Aromantic; having said that… they’re a situationship. But when they actually communicate it’s a pretty solid relationship. (She also doms him)

More Gothamites AU stuff and ships!! (With a little cameo from one the Rougues too who may or may not be added depends lol)

So first off is Sofia Falcone and the Ventriloquist AKA Arnold Wesker! I once saw a cute ship of them (but the Ventriloquist was a girl and they were a lesbian ship, if anyone can find it please show me cause it was so cute.) In my AU they got together eventually after their first meeting, where Sofia almost snapped Arnold like a pathetic twig lol. They soon married and combined gangs after Carmine Falcone’s retirement. Scarface and Carmine serve as sort of protective father figures, which gets wacky yknow?

As for Mr. Freeze, well there’s really only one love for him. He is completely emotionless when not near Nora, or thinking of her, pretty unhealthy tbh but in character. He’s basically like a machine, and the whole time of designing him I kept thinking of his line in the Arkham games; “Death is cold, Batman.” Though there is one small thing that helps him, Captain Cold. I designed him more as the complete opposite to Mr. Freeze, and really based him off of Snow Miser from The Year Without Santa Claus, so he’s way more jolly. I don’t ship them at all, but I think it’d be nice for Cold to teach Mr. Freeze to live again as close friends, very very slowly.

Hello everyone and welcome back! This is Goth-Pod, your Gotham based podcast. Speaking to you today is your favorite undiagnosed host, Juda Boone.

In today’s episode we are going deeper into something I touched on in our special Gotham troubles episode. Something that has been heavily requested. Today, we are talking about the Gotham phenomenon of BruceMan. 

BruceMan is the real-person ship of Bruce Wayne and Batman. Gotham’s preserver of the day, and her watchdog of the night. 

Without saying too much on my own opinions of the ship, I do understand the appeal of soft, tender hands holding onto claws. 

Bruce Wayne is a rich man, yes, but he does not forget the things Gotham took from him. He doesn't brush off the tragedy that is his city and ignore it within the safety of his tower. 

He and his company put in the work everyday to try and make sure that when those tragedies strike, that people have the resources to keep themselves afloat.

And yes, I said when. Wayne recognizes that there isn't much he can do to stop it from striking. Unlike Batman, who is out every night to prevent. 

They balance each other like that. They both love the city, and have different places where they can help. I think that's where people get the idea that they could fall in love. 

The interactions of Batman rescuing the Prince of Gotham could be just that- interactions between a victim and a vigilante. The Bat saves a lot of people. 

But people see the opportunity for more. 

For the record: Wayne hasn’t commented on the Ship at any point through the years.

Can you imagine it, though? Locking eyes with someone who is so fundamentally different from you, yet you’re the same down to your core. You share a love for a City that is incapable of loving you back. But this person, or thing, in front of you, is an extension of that City. And if they can love you, then it’s an extension of that love. 

I’m getting poetic again, but it’s hard not to when you look at these two and how they parallel each other so well. Even without the romantic lens, it’s interesting to think of Gotham’s favorite son and her protective Bat. 

I spoke more on Bruce Wayne here because.. Not much is known about the Bat’s true motives. There are no interviews of our resident shadow to dissect on how he feels about Gotham or about Wayne. Even after years since his appearance, its speculation. And so is this ship. 

I enjoy it most when it's all in good fun.

Bruce Wayne/Batman relationship?

This will not completely affect the story, I just am having a hard time figuring out who Bruce should have an actual relationship with in the story. I’m an underdog shipper when it comes to the Batman, meaning that I do not feel comfortable shipping extremely popular ships with him in it, such as SuperBat, or Diana and Bruce. I also rather seen his kids have a more popular ship than him.

So, I’m gonna put a poll out for everyone to choose. Honestly, I rather have him with John Constantine, Selina, or Barry Allen. Or all three, makes for great teaching experience.

I really want Hattercrow to be canon somehow. Gotham already made Riddlebird canon but Gotham is over now. Why hasn’t DC comics made Hattercrow canon.
