Almost one year!

On a more personal note: This blog is almost a year old now! It's not much but anyway.

I still like doing charts for this blog and have not lost motivation. However some of you might have noticed that I'm not posting as often (or regularly) anymore. That is mainly due to my health (I haven't been "not sick" for more than a few days since September), my full time job as a teacher and the strain of university work (essays, my thesis etc.). I'll hand in my thesis at the end of March and am looking forward to having more time for this blog again.

I have no idea if anyone cares but that's why I haven't been posting much. Anyway, I wish all of you a merry time before Christmas!

Although Joan Garrick and Joan Williams are the same person both names are not synonyms on Ao3 (yet).

Please note that there is the comic Jay Garrick and the TV show Jay Garrick. I'm not really sure how similiar the comic and Arrowverse versions of Garrick are, especially concerning the background and life story.

Ao3 does not distinguish between the two as far as I could see (at least not for ship tags). All the ships are connected to the comics version AND the TV version of Garrick.

Comics: Jason Peter "Jay" Garrick is the first character known as Flash and first appeared in 1940.

TV shows (Arrowverse): Dr. Jason "Jay" Garrick is a veteran speedster from Earth-3 and a vigilante known as the Flash, stylized as the Crimson Comet. He was found by Hunter Zolomon (Zoom) who then adapted his identity (while holding Garrick prisoner).

Once again I exluded all ships with Hunter Zolomon posing as Jay Garrick (when he stole Garrick's identity) (f.ex. Barry Allen/Hunter Zolomon | Jay Garrick -> 34 hits) because it makes a ship chart confusing (since I can't possibly know if people actually ship Zolomon or Garrick with the other character in these instances).
