Emerging from hell, his soul echoed with demonic laughter and memories of past contracts. The searing pain of jagged rocks on his ethereal form reminded him of the body he'd left behind. Whether buried or burned, he knew it would reform on the surface. He had struck a bargain with low-level demons, skillfully navigating hell's depths and enduring its torments to resurface. This wasn't his first time; he'd done it several times before, always proving the demons wrong. The intense pain was bearable to him, a soul accustomed to hell's fires. He persisted until the scorching heat ceased, encountering the cold damp earth and transitioning back to his decaying body.

With the incantation "Mortem Expello et Vitam Abstraho Circum Me," he expelled living pests from his corpse and began reanimating his form. The ground around him withered as he absorbed life force, gradually restoring his body. Though speech eluded him at first, he mouthed the incantation repeatedly, expanding the zone of death and feeding on the life around him. Finally, with renewed strength, he shattered his coffin, emerging from the earth. He hovered above his grave, hungry for life, ready to hunt. The abandoned cemetery, devoid of blessings, marked the beginning of his search for the next living being.

Overview of some topics when it comes to drawing characters who are burn survivors.

DISCLAIMER. Please keep in mind that this is an introductory overview for drawing some burn scars and has a lot of generalizations in it, so not every “X is Z” statement will be true for Actual People. I'm calling this introductory because I hope to get people to actually do their own research before drawing disabled & visibly different characters rather than just making stuff up. Think of it as a starting point and take it with a grain of salt (especially if you have a very different art style from mine).

Talking about research and learning... don't make your burn survivor characters evil. Burn survivors are normal people and don't deserve to be constantly portrayed in such a way.
