I had a dream that I signed up for a kids version of American idiot the musical on ice and I was really excited because I know all the lyrics to Jesus of Suburbia but I didn’t know it was supposed to be on ice cuz I don’t know how to skate and the teacher didn’t like me much so my friends and I snuck out and went out to lunch. After that we went to like a combo of a drugstore and a Michael’s. Then we went home and I told mom I wanna quit because idk how to skate so we did
And then my childhood mailman challenged us to a cookoff where we had to use RAO’s branded sauce but we declined and he got pissed
We also passed this really weird hibachi restaurant where I got a glass of water but I think I might’ve stole it because it was like $30 and I didn’t pay????
what the fuck is up with my brain
edit: I made a visual

A quick reminder that the bullet journal method was designed as a disability tool by a person with ADD. It's meant to be practical, and can be helpful especially to neurodivergent folks. Don't let the Instagram pictures or grind culture make you believe you cannot use it. The method will not work for everyone of course, but it is largely what you make of it.

I have been so cooked for this man lately that I need to talk about him— I genuinely think that with a ADHD/autism/AuDHD partner Ford takes notes on your stims and quirks, even before any serious relationship. Just little things like “waves hands when excited :)” and “prefers baggy sweaters” just like a little way of understanding you better 🥺💖
yesss definitely! as an AuDHDer who stims a lot myself, this is everything!! jfskhfshsk
--------------------------------------------------
"Aaaahhhhh oh myy-" the rest of what you were saying was incomprehensible because the words slurred together in an excited squeal. A gleeful expression upon your face, you waved and shook your hands in front of your body, then pressed them over your mouth, to stifle another squeal.
Ford smiled to himself as he watched you from the other side of the room, where he propped his notebook open to scribble something down.
"Heeyyyyy Grunkle Ford, watcha got there?" Mabel's voice rang out right beside him.
He snapped the book shut and whipped his head around.
"Mabel!"
"Waves hands when excited." she cited what she had just read, "Were you talking about-"
"No, I was certainly not!" Ford said, while his cheeks started to turn a deep red colour.
"Are you suuuure? Because to me it looks like you diiiid." she said, a cheeky grin on her face and dragging some of the vowels.
"You are mistaken, dear child. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got work to do." he excused himself and stood up, holding the notebook close to him.
Without letting her get another word in, he moved past her and made his way into his study.
There, he propped open the notebook to the page he'd just added a new note onto.
- likes to hum when no one is around - seems to prefer more loose fitting clothes. possibly because the don't restrict movement as much - will subconsciously play and fidget with any jewellery they're wearing - sorts and eats their food in a particular order - would rather not eat at all than something not appealing - skin irritating clothing causes great discomfort. remove tags!! - wants to talk but holds back. encouraging them has positive effect - avoids eye contact but will look at faces when the person isn't looking at them - do not touch without warning and do not force contact! expressed great discomfort to me after being forced to physical contact by someone else - repeating phrases and noises (quite endearing) - easily startled by sudden and loud noises, as well as irritated by high pitched ones, almost too quite to hear - shows behaviours similar to felines. has stated that they would be delighted to posses the ability to purr (he would be delighted too)
Ford smiled as he looked up and leaned back. He really hoped Mabel hadn't seen too much, otherwise she might figure out how interested in you he really was. And we wasn't sure if he was ready for that.
For now he would be very much content continuing to dreamily gaze over at you and notice all the little things, so he could understand you better.
Maybe one day he could work up the courage to ask you out.
-------------------------------------------------- thank you for reading <3 reblogs are appreciated

Thinking about Iris being blindsided by her love for Phoenix.
Iris feeling nothing for him at first, only dating him to prevent yet another needless death and even more blood on her sister's hands.
Iris seeing his earnestness and dedication to becoming a lawyer for his friend and being profoundly moved by it.
Iris asking Phoenix to return the bottle necklace less and less often because him doing so would mean her losing the greatest joy she had ever felt outside of her love for her sister.
Iris overthinking her own happiness when she's with Phoenix because this wasn't supposed to happen.
Iris stifling her love for Phoenix because she feels guilty for it.
Iris knowing her love is doomed to fail.
Iris feeling sick to her stomach when Dahlia expresses to her exactly how much of a nuisance she thinks Phoenix is and how things would be so much easier for her if she just got rid of him.
Iris debating if her love for Phoenix is worth dismantling the lie she's created.
Iris debating if her love for Phoenix is worth more than her own life.
Iris debating if her love for Phoenix is worth more than her sister's life.
Iris thinking her love will forever remain unsaid after Dahlia frames Phoenix for murder.
Iris seeing Phoenix again five years later in a cruel twist of fate and fearing her love will be discovered...and soundly rejected.
Iris seeing Phoenix again five years later in a cruel twist of fate and fearing her love will be discovered...but not rejected.
Iris fearing that she will be loved despite her love.
Iris fearing she will be seen for all she is, in all her unmasked, cowardly, selfish glory...and accepted.
Iris being unable to imagine a fate more cruel than being loved after all she's done.
Iris being doomed by her love.

Friendly reminder that you do not have to buy loads of new planners/journals or try new productivity systems in the new year.
You do not have to try and reinvent yourself overnight.
Change and growth happens slowly, and you are allowed to take your time with it.

I just did my first T injection! The syringes I ordered showed up a day early and I decided to just go for it.
The actual process of giving the shot isn't so bad, it's sticking the needle in that sucks. Doesn't hurt but definitely feels weird. Took a lot of breathing exercises and self talk to get it done.
Hopefully it gets easier from here on out. 🎉
Now instead of remembering to apply the topical T every day, I somehow need to remember to do a shot every two weeks...
I'm gonna write it on my calendar and hope for the best. 😅

advice for university students who have a hard time getting work done aka the things that my ADHD-having ass needed 3 fucking semesters to learn :
1. go to class. GO TO CLASS. yes, even if the lectures are recorded. yes, even if you have other work you really need to do right now. you will fall behind if you don't and it will suck. next time you have class you will think, "I can't go to class today because I still haven't caught up with the material from the previous class" and then you'll do that several times and then you'll haven fallen really far behind and it will really suck. when you show up to class, keeping up with assignments will just naturally follow.
2. do not try to get work done in your room. it will not happen. no matter how much you don't want to leave, you have to do it, you have to leave. go to a library, or a cafe, or even just a different room in your house/dorm if you don't want to change out of your pjs (and even if you're one of those people who *can* get studying done in your room [couldn't be me], separating the environments you work in and relax in will feel so much better, i promise!).
3. go to office hours. if it's one of those STEM class office/peer tutoring hours where lots of people are being helped at once, it's especially important that you go. the material is designed to be challenging and you're not expected to be able to do it on your own. it's also a great way to hold yourself accountable to getting the work done on time. literally just put on some noise-cancelling headphones and work on stuff there until you have a question.
4. start on your big assignments EARLY. working on one essay or project and almost nothing else for 2 days straight leads to burnout. start at least 2 weeks in advance, and work on it everyday for just an hour, maybe 2. setting time-based goals is key here. it makes the assignment feel less intimidating. it's easy to convince yourself to work on it even if you don't want to because, hey, it's only an hour. once you start getting bored or frustrated, it's not too hard to power through, since it's only an hour. and if you're getting super distracted and really struggling to focus you can switch gears to something else guilt-free, and then return to it tomorrow with fresh eyes and a fresh mind.
5. inevitably, you'll fuck up. you'll do poorly on a test, you'll miss an assignment, you'll not understand things you're learning in class, you'll get nervous during a presentation. some days, you might not even fuck up necessarily, you'll just feel bad. when it happens, take a step back. acknowledge and honor your emotions. you might feel sad or disappointed or ashamed. treat yourself with kindness and compassion. try not to judge yourself, recognize that your feelings are natural and normal. take care of yourself like you would take care of a friend who was in your position. do some easy assignments, then wrap up work early. eat something, talk to someone or journal about it, do some cleaning, take a shower, and go to bed early. maybe it feels like you shouldn't because you have too much work to do, but trust that addressing your heavy emotions is more productive than just powering through. personally, if i don't do this, the feeling of shame lingers in my subconscious and i spiral for several days. like, don't get out of bed or eat or do any work kind of spiraling. perhaps the consequences are not as material for you. regardless, honoring your emotions and treating yourself with compassion is a life-long skill that is always worth practicing. your mental health will thank you for it.
