My anxiety has been randomly spiking up, but thankfully I have my meds, and I am making an effort to take them regularly. Despite struggling a bit to focus in the morning I managed to finish an entire chapter. I am quite hopeful for the progress I can make in the second half of this week. Hopefully I'll finish all the materials for this class, and I'll be able to plan and move on to a different section of my to do lists.

The first book I ever picked up on my own was Pandora of Athens by Barry Denenberg. I would check it out every week from the school library to reread it again and again. It would always immerse me Pandora’s point of view and I wanted to experience her tale ceaselessly. To this day, 20 years later, I still experience adoration for Pandora.

Description

The painting is titled Pandora in honor of Pandora, the first woman according to Greek mythology. Created by order of Zeus to introduce all evil into the lives of men, after Prometheus, against divine will, gave them the gift of fire.

The recreated moment is the one in which Pandora is about to open the chest that contained the evils of the human race (old age, illness, passion, poverty and others).

Her curiosity caused everyone except Hope to run away and spread out into the world.

Jellycat becoming so popular is honestly very overwhelming for me to the point where I am highly considering quitting collecting them outside of my ISO's. I don't like it when my favourite collectibles become their own form of alternative currency to the point where people are flipping them for insane profits. It hasn't felt fun to collect them when I'm forced to compete with price gougers, and I've been feeling this way for a little while now. I'd honestly much rather spend my money on other toy brands that aren't as well known and/or are readily available, so that I at least don't stress myself out by fighting with everyone to get one that I want. I can't stand the way Jellycats have become more of a commodity or status symbol rather than being cute, lovable toys for everyone to enjoy.
