why do people leave such harsh reviews over their box being damaged yet their product is completely fine. like the box doesnt matter and why deduct points for something thats out of the seller's control.. they get damaged on the way to you, its out of the seller's hands so why blame them for it rauugh
#and a lot of the time the damage isnt even that serious! get over it!#its just a box! what about the thing inside can you tell me about the actual product ??!#the world if 50% of online reviews were also about the product instead of the packaging

In Malleus loungewear, did he use Armani makeup?

I cross-referenced his voice lines and vignettes; Malleus does not mention any makeup brands. We know that Felicity Cosmetics exists, but it’s unclear if that’s what Malleus is using.
While the packaging of the makeup products in his Groovy looks VERY similar to Giorgio Armani ones, I doubt that Twst actually used an irl brand. More likely it’s just an in-universe brand that has similar packaging. Maybe the artists looked at or referenced Giorgio Armani makeup for inspiration while designing Malleus’s Groovy?
In case you’re wondering, the names of the Giorgio Armani products I posted above are:
Rouge d'Armani Lipstick (204); I also saw someone saying it’s Rouge D’Armani Lasting Satin in (404/Tempting) but note that the modern day packaging looks different
Eye Tint Long Lasting Liquid Eyeshadow (50S/Petrol); not an exact color match because it looks too dark compared to what Malleus is using
Micro-Fil Loose Powder (White)

got tricked by my surroundings and unwillingness to closely read labels. accidentally bought liners instead of pads (life ruining)
#aa#actually rn my period is light enough that this will be fine but…now i have to go through these liners that i don’t want and buy more pads#but actually what happened was the pads i usually buy weren’t there at all but liners of the same brand were there the packaging was just a#different color but it was literally in the same spot on the shelf so i was like. oh this must be it#was also similarly priced#then i got home i’m about to open the box i’m like. this isn’t what i thought it was. 😐🧍🏽#and now the nearest walgreens is closed! because the one in this stupid neighborhood closes at 10! and the one near where i used to live is#open 24 hours (i miss her so bad)#Whatever!#funny thing is i did get the box of liners that were better priced per unit for only 50¢ more but now that means i have more liners than i w#would have had if i wasn’t so keen on reading price per unit but not the product details

*:・゚✧*:・゚✧my safe foods✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
Big post of my safe foods!! With calories, so basically a big post of low cal and low fat foods that are basically all I eat... and I feel full, satisfied and have lost over 17 kg so eating them is working I guess??
under cut because this is looooong

Dairy products
Almond milk (instead of cream in cooking): 2 dl of "no sugar" almond milk is 26 kcal and tastes creamy in food, without the fat and kcals from that
fat free greek yogurt: the one I buy has 13 grams of protain and 65 kcal for 100 g, and my regular portion (1/3 package) is only 109 kcal
fat free quark: 10 grams of protein and 59 kcal for 100 g
skyr: (type of like yogurt I assume), naturally fat free and there are lots of flavored options. The one I eat (my favourite) is 16 g of protein and 94 kcal for the whole thing
sugar and fat free drinkable yogurt (with beneficial bacteria), really good for a snack or sweet craving but not very filling, mainly for just the taste (my safe one has strawberry flavour), it's 27 kcal for 100 g (which happens to also be the size of the bottle)
fat free cottage cheese: 63 kcal for 100 g (although it's also lactose free which lowers the calories), great for protein and can be blended into stuff if you can't deal with the texture (source: I can't)

proteins
Elk/moose meat: (edit part 2 because I have discovered that this is safe for me) 112 kcal for 100 g, a lot of protein and little fat. Also pretty ethical. I get mine from my grandparents, my grandfather enjoys hunting.
Tuna: canned tuna in water!! Forgot to add this and remembered only now, but I also consider tuna a "safe" protein to have, I use it in salads or sauces.
quorn: quorn is a mushroom and egg white based protein, without much of a taste and a texture like that of chicken. Huge recommendation for this if it's sold in your country. 89 kcal for 100 g and very low in fat!
egg white: 1 large egg white is 18 kcal, and contains no fat but does contain protein! seasoned with salt and pepper and fried without oil is my favourite way to have it. Note that the yolk does contain fat and has a lot more calories, so removing it is what I do
turkey slices: idk why but this is the only meat i'm not scared of, and it's a specific brand of turkey deli meat. 1% fat (probably why I'm not scared of it) and a 15 g slice is 13 kcal and it's meat, so a lot of protein. Goes well with lentil flatbread sandwiches!
lentils: have protein and work very well in soups and lentil flatbread/pancakes!! 100 g of dried red lentils has 118 kcal
dairy products: already covered but a lot of them have protein

"sides"
shirataki noodles: whole bag is 20 kcal, and contains 4 reasonable portions!! If you can deal with the texture, I definitely recommend!
Cauliflower: amazing vegetable, works as a base for soups, nuggets, a side for any meal, replacement for rice, literally anything... 25 kcal for 100 g, very, very good for volume eating!
green beans: really good in place of potato with meals, 31 kcal for 100 g and goes well boiled or air fried (or just stuck in the oven)
cucumber: with or without seasoning, goes really well as an easy side dish! One entire cucumber is 28 kcal!! try being hungry after eating an entire cucumber...
salad: great as a meal with a source of protein or as a side, calories vary for ingredients (ingredient I love include tomato, bell pepper, cucumber, lettuce, arugula and salt and pepper for seasoning)

homemade meals:
lentil flatbread/pancakes: made with 3 ingredients (egg white, lentils and water), have 50 kcal for 3 pieces (which is a reasonable portion). work both as a replacement for bread when had with savory toppings and pancakes when had with sweet toppings, basically very versatile! Made with a frying pan and no oil, they don't need oil
SOUPS!! Lentil soup (delicious) or my favourite, vegetable-cottage cheese-blended soup!! ingredients determine the calories, but usually they vary between 80-120 kcal per portion and I love soup as a nice (and filling!) dinner :)
sauces: (with shirataki noodles, cauliflower or green beans to skip the calories from potato or pasta), my favourites are tomato based, but cream based made with almond milk is also something I enjoy. calculate the calories for whatever you make
salads: with a protein a salad can be a filling meal! lettuce, cucumber, bell pepper and tomato are all pretty low calorie, meaning the portions of them can be massive and still under 100 kcal combined!! my favourite protein for salads is tuna (canned IN WATER), and of course seasoned with salt and black pepper (my favourite seasonings tbh)

vegetables
CAULIFLOWER!! best vegetable in my opinion. Makes a perfect replacement for potato as mash, rice, makes a good base for soups, is delicious oven fried with grill seasoning... just love cauliflower so much and get through about a head a week lol. 25 kcal for 100 g
broccoli: pretty nice in soups and as a side, 34 kcal for 100 g but pretty nice and low kcal for the volume
CARROTS!! 35 kcal for 100 grams, so a 200 gram bag is 70 kcal and will fill you up. I love carrots and have 200 g for lunch almost every day, and get through a LOT of carrots during other meals too! I love the taste and texture, and they are so low kcal for the volume. Huge recommendation, carrots are amazing, and zero fat!
leafy greens: my faves are arugula, spinach and lettuce. arugula and lettuce are the best in salads, and spinach is nice cooked. Depending on which one you have the kcal differ abvs
mushrooms: (i know, I know it's not a vegetable but still), 22 kcal for 100 grams! if you are like me and picky with textures, blended mushrooms taste pretty nice and it goes well in soups!
CUCUMBER: 28 kcal for an entire cucumber! i feel stuffed after half a cucumber, which is just 14 kcal... cucumber and grill seasoning is the best snack, I beg for you to try it. I get through like 4 cucumbers in a week lmao, love them and they are the best snack and volume food imho
bell pepper: goes well in salads or as a snack raw, 24 kcal for an entire bell pepper! and the texture is so satisfying if you're craving something crunchy
green beans: 31 kcal for 100 g, and it was already mentioned before as a good side, but it also works as "fries" when oven roasted and with grill seasoning

fruits and berries
tangerines: 40 kcal for a small tangerine! really easy as a snack and tastes really nice
kiwi: 42 kcal for one medium kiwi! and eaten with a spoon, you don't even need to peel it (just like scrape the kiwi out), kiwis are also sooo good when they are ripe
tomato: one medium tomato is 22 kcal, and is so good in salads. Also grilled, just grill the tomato until it's soft and it's so good
banana: one medium banana is 105 kcal, and the only way i have bananas is cooked. Just put it in a frying pan and heat on medium heat until it's cooked (no oil needed), it becomes so much sweeter and it's delicious.
strawberry: 32 kcal for 100 g, strawberries are great and taste so good. I love frozen strawberries especially, they are cheaper here and they last longer
raspberry: 53 kcal for 100 g, raspberries are better in taste than strawberries in my opinion, even though they are higher in calories. Go great with yogurt though!
cloudberries: they grow in swamps over here, i get mine from my grandparents lol. if offered, definitely do try them, they are good! 51 kcal for 100 g, and they are really good

desserts:
sugarfree "raspberry soup" (mehukeitto), basically just raspberry juice with a thickening agent, so can be eaten with a spoon. 8 kcal for 100 g, and I like having it as a dessert sometimes
sugarfree vanilla syrup: basically 0 kcal, goes great with yogurt or berries or lentil pancakes...
sugarfree cola: almost 0 kcal, and the best thing ever if you're craving something sweet!
rooibos: basically tea, except it's a different plant, and naturally caffeine free. It's also sweeter, and won't make you stay up at night so great before bed
coffee: not sweet unless you add sugarfree sweetener, but black coffee is pretty low in kcal (2 per cup), i love black coffee and have it each morning
artificial sweetener: nice in tea and a life saver if you need to bake something! The one I use is stevia based, but anything works
sugarfree juice: 1 kcal per 100 ml, and just another amazing thing to have in case of sweet cravings

others?
oatmeal, 40 g of dry oats is 145 kcal. best tip for oatmeal is to season it with salt, it is soo much better with a bit of salt! pretty high kcal though
rye bran, 16 kcal for a tablespoon and like 39 % fiber! goes well in yog if you are trying to make sure you get enough fiber
(baby) corn puffs: a portion is 30 grams and is a bit over 100 kcal! amazing texture, literally cheese puffs without cheese.
sugarfree gum: very low in kcal, and a great help to stop mindlessly eating and start mindlessly chewing instead, basically treat like snacks when watching a movie or the like
sugarfree cough drops: nice, especially if you are like me and are paranoid your breath smells. the ones I have are like 2 kcal for one, and sucking on them they last pretty long
sugarfree energy drinks: my favourite (and the one I always buy) is 15 kcal, but for example white monster tastes like lemonade and is 11 kcal for a can. caffeine also helps curb appetite!
grill seasoning: if you've read this far, you'll know that this is the best thing in combination with cucumber or cauliflower! Has stuff like paprika powder, salt and other spices that are soo good. of course also good for meat if that's what you want to eat. low kcal food does NOT need to be bland! i personally don't count seasoning with my calories (COUNT OIL THOUGH!!)
the end, thanks:) if you have others you want to add, comment or reblog or something, I want to know about all the cool foods out there!!

Things the Biden-Harris Administration Did This Week #28
July 19-26 2024
The EPA announced the award of $4.3 billion in Climate Pollution Reduction Grants. The grants support community-driven solutions to fight climate change, and accelerate America’s clean energy transition. The grants will go to 25 projects across 30 states, and one tribal community. When combined the projects will reduce greenhouse gas pollution by as much as 971 million metric tons of CO2, roughly the output of 5 million American homes over 25 years. Major projects include $396 million for Pennsylvania’s Department of Environmental Protection as it tries to curb greenhouse gas emissions from industrial production, and $500 million for transportation and freight decarbonization at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.
The Biden-Harris Administration announced a plan to phase out the federal government's use of single use plastics. The plan calls for the federal government to stop using single use plastics in food service operations, events, and packaging by 2027, and from all federal operations by 2035. The US government is the single largest employer in the country and the world’s largest purchaser of goods and services. Its move away from plastics will redefine the global market.
The White House hosted a summit on super pollutants with the goals of better measuring them and dramatically reducing them. Roughly half of today's climate change is caused by so called super pollutants, methane, hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), and nitrous oxide (N2O). Public-private partnerships between NOAA and United Airlines, The State Department and NASA, and the non-profit Carbon Mapper Coalition will all help collect important data on these pollutants. While private firms announced with the White House plans that by early next year will reduce overall U.S. industrial emissions of nitrous oxide by over 50% from 2020 numbers. The summit also highlighted the EPA's new rule to reduce methane from oil and gas by 80%.
The EPA announced $325 million in grants for climate justice. The Community Change Grants Program, powered by President Biden's Inflation Reduction Act will ultimately bring $2 billion dollars to disadvantaged communities and help them combat climate change. Some of the projects funded in this first round of grant were: $20 million for Midwest Tribal Energy Resources Association, which will help weatherize and energy efficiency upgrade homes for 35 tribes in Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, $14 million to install onsite wastewater treatment systems throughout 17 Black Belt counties in Alabama, and $14 million to urban forestry, expanding tree canopy in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.
The Department of Interior approved 3 new solar projects on public land. The 3 projects, two in Nevada and one in Arizona, once finished could generate enough to power 2 million homes. This comes on top of DoI already having beaten its goal of 25 gigawatts of clean energy projects by the end of 2025, in April 2024. This is all part of President Biden’s goal of creating a carbon pollution-free power sector by 2035.
Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen pledged $667 million to global Pandemic Fund. The fund set up in 2022 seeks to support Pandemic prevention, and readiness in low income nations who can't do it on their own. At the G20 meeting Yellen pushed other nations of the 20 largest economies to double their pledges to the $2 billion dollar fund. Yellen highlighted the importance of the fund by saying "President Biden and I believe that a fully-resourced Pandemic Fund will enable us to better prevent, prepare for, and respond to pandemics – protecting Americans and people around the world from the devastating human and economic costs of infectious disease threats,"
The Departments of the Interior and Commerce today announced a $240 million investment in tribal fisheries in the Pacific Northwest. This is in line with an Executive Order President Biden signed in 2023 during the White House Tribal Nations Summit to mpower Tribal sovereignty and self-determination. An initial $54 million for hatchery maintenance and modernization will be made available for 27 tribes in Alaska, Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. The rest will be invested in longer term fishery projects in the coming years.
The IRS announced that thanks to funding from President Biden's Inflation Reduction Act, it'll be able to digitize much of its operations. This means tax payers will be able to retrieve all their tax related information from one source, including Wage & Income, Account, Record of Account, and Return transcripts, using on-line Individual Online Account.
The IRS also announced that New Jersey will be joining the direct file program in 2025. The direct file program ran as a pilot in 12 states in 2024, allowing tax-payers in those states to file simple tax returns using a free online filing tool directly with the IRS. In 2024 140,000 Americans were able to file this way, they collectively saved $5.6 million in tax preparation fees, claiming $90 million in returns. The average American spends $270 and 13 hours filing their taxes. More than a million people in New Jersey alone will qualify for direct file next year. Oregon opted to join last month. Republicans in Congress lead by Congressmen Adrian Smith of Nebraska and Chuck Edwards of North Carolina have put forward legislation to do away with direct file.
Bonus: American law enforcement arrested co-founder of the Sinaloa Cartel, Ismael "El Mayo" Zambada. El Mayo co-founded the cartel in the 1980s along side Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán. Since El Chapo's incarceration in the United States in 2019, El Mayo has been sole head of the Sinaloa Cartel. Authorities also arrested El Chapo's son, Joaquin Guzman Lopez. The Sinaloa Cartel has been a major player in the cross border drug trade, and has often used extreme violence to further their aims.

grocery shopping (and shoplifting) tips from a cashier
DON'T BUY NON FOOD ITEMS AT THE GROCERY STORE. THEY JACK THOSE PRICES UP SO HIGH. laundry detergent, cleaning products, medicine, haircare shit- it's all better to get these somewhere else.
only buy the store brands UNLESS there's a sale on name brands that makes it cheaper than the store brand (but this is pretty rare). there's no difference.
most vendor coupons are shit, especially if they're trying to get you to buy more than one item. be really careful using these as a lot of the time they're not a good deal.
ignore the entirety of those drink coolers and snacks at checkout. most of them are overpriced and not worth it.
most store brand canned items and stuff like ramen noodles are super cheap.
FROZEN FOODS ARE SO OVERPRICED. BE VERY CAREFUL.
meat is expensive, and don't waste your money on any sort of organic blah blah whatever meat. it's the exact same shirt
same thing with organic produce, especially if it's something like bananas where you don't actually eat the outside. don't buy pre-packaged produce, it's not worth it for the exact same thing without a package.
check if produce prices are per pound or per item. they vary wildly so make sure to check so you don't get surprised at the register.
do you have self checkout? EVERY PIECE OF PRODUCE IS A BANANA :)))))
small stuff is was easier to steal than large stuff, obviously. don't try to fit a 50 pack of chex mix in your coat. it will not work.
most cashiers dgaf about shoplifting. managers do. stay away from them.
don't waste your money on overpriced expensive "organic natural blah blah blah" food unless you really have to bc of a dietary restriction. most processed food is more expensive and this just makes it even worse.
if the store has a membership card and you don't have one, always ask to use the store card. they'll let you, you just have to ask.
ground meat is cheaper and more versatile than whole cuts of meat. also make sure to look out for managers specials on perishable items like meat because they're trying to get rid of stuff so it'll be marked way down.
that's about all I can think of rn, add on if you have any extra tips

sean diaz headcanons pt 3.5

super short! some old stuff i wrote
- ngl best listener ever. u guys will be in his bathroom talking shit and hell try to tie ur hair for u. he’ll look at ur face through the mirror bc hes so immersed in what ur saying and ur facial expressions. u shoot a quick “are u done” and he looks back to the lopsided ponytail he made 😭. he’ll mutter “sorry…” like he tripped u on purpose or something.
- daniel will BEG for u guys to watch some kid tv show with him. u both agree (sean only does so for points from u) and not even ten minutes in sean will fall asleep on u. daniel keeps shaking him awake saying “did u see that? did u see that?” at literally any scene. sean absolutely hates it and just shoves his face further into your chest/collarbone. he’s probably grumbling incoherent profanities too
- ull be there for all of sean’s track meets. in-between the races and events, sean will sit next to u all sweaty. he asks if he did good out there every single time because he’s self-conscious! u always reassure him though.
- alsooo u get to see him as a total mess. chest heaving, sweat dribbling down his face, cheeks pricked with red, the whole package. when he catches u staring, his face somehow gets a little more red. he grumbles “stoppp” all girly but he loves it LMAO.
- sean is a wingstop fein and he will take u on dates there. u guys got saucy hands and look like babies covered in peanut butter 😭 he tells u how stupid u look and u two go back and forth—looking equally stupid.
- sean tries to build u lego flowers as a gift and will be stressed tf out. he’ll be hunched on the floor at like 2 am and every time daniel or esteban checks on him he starts incoherently groaning 😭
- when u do makeup in front of him u ask him what products are for what for shits and giggles. u’ll show him a lipstick and he’ll be like “…vibrator?” and after like 50 products he finally gives normal responses.
- “fuck… the saw trap thing u put on ur eyeballs???”
- “close enough…”
- playing video games like tlou with each other
- when u have the controller he cant help but stare at the side of ur face when ur playing. he likes it especially because ur so concentrated and he thinks its adorable
- when he has the controller he tries to impress u by doing the absolute most. he dies every time and gets embarrassed lol
- when u first started dating he would lie about knowing things u talked about just to look cool (he has no idea what ur talking about). when u looked at him funny he would turn sooo red
- “have u ever heard of descendants?”
- “yeah i love that show”
- “no… like the band”
- “oh”

1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1
World's Only 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 390 With a Factory Sunroof Comes out of Hiding
Introduced for the 1969 model year, the Mach 1 was one of no fewer than six performance Mustangs available at the time. Sold alongside the GT, the Boss 429 and 302, and a pair of Shelby models, the Mach 1 became hugely popular. Specifically, Ford sold a whopping 72,458 units, almost a quarter of all Mustang production that year.
What made the Mach 1 such a big hit? Well, for starters, the package included more goodies than the GT. It came with a matte black hood with racing-style pins, a scoop, a unique stripe package, and an upgraded suspension. And unlike the Boss and Shelby models, it wasn't restricted to a specific engine.
Ford offered a more affordable version equipped with the two-barrel 351-cubic-inch (5.8-liter) Windsor V8. Customers who wanted more than 250 horsepower had access to the four-barrel variant, which delivered 290 horses. The options list also included the FE-type 390-cubic-inch (6.4-liter) unit good for 320 horsepower.
But unlike the GT, the Mach 1 was also available with the mighty 428-cubic-inch (7.0-liter) Cobra Jet V8. Offered in both Ram Air and non-Ram setups (Q- or R-code), the Cobra Jet mill generated 335 horsepower. While not quite as potent as the NASCAR-spec V8 in the Boss 429, it was the most potent mill customers had access to in the regular-production 'Stang.
High sales numbers also mean that first-year Mach 1 is quite the common classic nowadays. Sure, the Cobra Jet version is rarer at around 13,000 units, but it's a model you won't have issues finding. And it's not awfully expensive either.
That's not to say that some Mach 1s aren't very rare or unique. But that depends on features and the color combo. Sometimes, it takes a tiny item like air conditioning combined with an unlikely exterior/upholstery color match-up to turn a Mach 1 into a rare gem. This 1969 example in Gulfstream Aqua blue is a tad different because it flexes an option you won't find on any other Mach 1.
You won't notice it at first glance, but look closer, and you'll eventually see that this Mustang rocks a sunroof. Wait, what? A first-generation Mustang with a sunroof? You bet that's a weird feature because Ford did not offer such an option on the Mustang at the time. But a sunroof was available on the Mercury Cougar, and apparently, someone convinced Ford to put it on a Mach 1.
That someone is none other than Carroll Shelby, the man responsible for the cool GT350 and GT500 that turned the first-gen Mustang into a proper muscle car. And the story goes it's one of only two 1969 Mach 1s with a factory sunroof, so it's pretty much a one-of-one if we also factor in the options and the paint.
So what is the story behind this 'Stang? Did Carroll order it for his personal collection? Well, not exactly. Apparently, the car was specified for a doctor who took care of Shelby's mother. He asked if there was anything he could do for him in return, and the doctor requested a Mach 1 with a sunroof. Still working with Ford at the time, Carroll made some calls and turned the doctor's request into reality.
More than 50 years later, this unique Mach 1 is still around. And based on the way it looks, it went through a rotisserie restoration. It's spotless from every angle, and the Gulfstream Aqua color shines better than when this muscle car was new.
The blacked-out hood hides a 390 FE V8, so this Mustang wouldn't normally be as desirable and valuable as a Cobra Jet. However, that factory sunroof gives one-of-one status and puts it into six-figure territory. Hit the play button below to watch it sitting pretty at the MCACN show.

today on stream I decided to build an apartment using one of the high rise shells and actually put a bit of effort into the exterior. this was just going to be a base for an apartment decorating video, but since I've finished the shell and I put a fair bit of time into it, I figured I might as well upload the version with the empty apartment in case anyone wants to decorate it themselves!
this apartment was built in storybrook county on the lot where the production studio is. I think it looks cute here and the driveway is kind of catered to work with this lot specifically, but you can place it on any 40 x 50 lot. you just may need to make a few adjustments.
things to note.
you will need to use the 'restrictbuildbyinbuildings false' cheat if you want to make any changes to the exterior or hallways.
the parking garage isn't functional and has a hidden room marker in it, but you can remove that and mess around with it if you wish.
I'm not the most experienced with high rise apartments, but this includes the late night mailbox and garbage chute that I believe are required for these apartment buildings. it should function as normal.
this build uses custom content that's included with the .package file. if you don't want the custom content, just download the library file and put that in your library folder - ignore everything else.
the list of custom content used in this build can be found here.
downloads.
place the file ending in ’_library’ in your library folder (documents/electronic arts/the sims 3/library) regardless of what version you choose to install.

Writing Notes: Honey
Honey
Sweet, viscous liquid food, dark golden in colour, produced in the honey sacs of various bees from the nectar of flowers.
Flavour and colour are determined by the flowers from which the nectar is gathered.
Some of the most commercially desirable honeys are produced from clover by the domestic honeybee.
The nectar is ripened into honey by inversion of the major portion of its sucrose sugar into the sugars levulose (fructose) and dextrose (glucose) and by the removal of excess moisture.
Honey is marketed in several different forms: liquid honey, comb honey, and creamed honey. Sometimes the predominant floral type from which the honey was collected is indicated.
Liquid Honey
If liquid (strained, extracted) honey is desired, additional supers are added directly above the brood nest.
When one is largely filled, it is raised and another is placed underneath.
This may continue until several have been filled, each holding from 30 to 50 pounds (14 to 23 kilograms), or until the nectar flow has ended.
After the bees have evaporated the water until the honey is of the desired consistency and sealed in the cells, the combs are removed, the cells uncapped with the uncapping knife, and the honey extracted.
The removed honey is immediately heated to about 140 °F (60 °C), which thins it and destroys yeasts that can cause fermentation.
It is then strained of wax particles and pollen grains, cooled rapidly, and packaged for market.
Comb Honey
In production of honey in the comb, or comb honey, extreme care is necessary to prevent the bees’ swarming. The colony must be strong, and the bees must be crowded into the smallest space they will tolerate without swarming.
New frames or sections of a frame with extra-thin foundation wax, added at exactly the right time for the bees to fill without destroying them, are placed directly above the brood nest. The bees must fill and seal the new comb to permit removal within a few days, or it will be of inferior quality.
As rapidly as sections are removed, new sections are added, until the nectar flow subsides. Then these are removed and the colony given combs to store its honey for the winter.
Creamed Honey
Almost all honey will granulate or turn to sugar.
Such honey can be liquefied without materially affecting its quality by placing the container in water heated to about 150 °F (66 °C).
Liquid and granulated honey is sometimes blended, homogenized, and held at a cool temperature, which speeds uniformly fine granulation.
If properly processed, the granules will be extremely fine; the honey, which has a smooth, creamy appearance, is referred to as creamed honey.
Floral Types
Some honeys are sold by floral type; that is, they are given the name of the predominant flowers visited by the bees when they accumulated the honey.
The beekeeper has no way to direct the bees to a particular source of food but through experience learns which plants are the major sources of honey.
Different flowers produce different colours and flavours of honey. It may be heavy-bodied or thin-bodied, dark or light, mild-flavoured or strong-flavoured.
Most honey has been blended by the beekeeper to a standard grade that can be supplied and marketed year after year.
Different regions in California produce distinctive honeys:
Orange Blossom Honey: Sourced mainly from Southern California's vast citrus orchards.
Sage Honey: Harvested in the coastal areas and foothills.
Buckwheat Honey: Found in Northern California, with a robust, molasses-like flavor.

Omg do you know the Valentino x reader period pains thing can you do that but with vox's teenage daughter like how would he react straight panic. Most men in the 50's didn't know anything really about period cramps or periods in general. So he probably not know much besides what Vel talks about. I can imagine him doing the wtf which one do I get her in the store thing so he buys everything lol.
Another super fun request! Enjoy!
Vox stared at the shelves in a mixture of embarrassment and confusion. His gaze fell from the shelves to the list, and back again. So many colors, and why was one woman playing volleyball? He cursed himself for not simply putting Velvette’s requests on the list and pushing it off. How was he supposed to know this could happen in the middle of the night?
“Dad? Dad, I need help. I think I’m dying.”
Vox had heard his daughter's voice from across his bedroom. He instantly sat up and turned on the bedside light, swung his legs over the side of the bed and hurried to her.
“What’s the matter baby?” He asked frantically.
“My belly hurts, and I’m bleeding,” she sobbed. “Daddy, what’s wrong with me?”
He felt a cold chill and sheer panic settle through him as he noticed the bright red stains on her pajama pants. No, she couldn’t be. She couldn’t have her period already, right? She was only thirteen. God, he was so not ready for this.
“You’re not dying babydoll, come on. We need to go see your Aunt Velvette,” he said as calmly as he could. “Come on now, follow me.” He put a hand on her shoulder and guided her down the hallway. He pounded on Velvette’s door. “Vel? Vel get up! We need you!”
He heard frantic footsteps and the door swung open.
“Vox you better have a damn good reason to-” Velvette cut herself off mid sentence at the sight of reader. “Oh. Yep, that’s a good reason. Come in honey, go to my bathroom. I need to talk to your dad for a moment. You’re okay, I promise.”
Vox watched as his daughter walked across the room and vanished behind closed doors. He turned to Velvette, who was scribbling something down on a pad of paper.
“Vel, you still good to handle this?” He asked cautiously. “I just-”
“Vox, it's the middle of the night. I told you ages ago to have housekeeping order the supplies she needs and you put it off. Now you need to go to the store yourself while I convince sweet reader she isn’t about to kick the bucket,” Velvette grumbled as she ripped the paper off the pad and handed it to Vox. “Everything you need is on that list. You’re going to have to go out and buy it right now.”
Vox felt himself flush with embarrassment. This was a female issue- it shouldn’t involve him.
Velvette gave him a look. “If you had listened to me in the first place, we wouldn’t be in this situation would we? Now shoo.”
Now here he stood, with a list of what he firmly believed were made up words. What exactly was a “tampon” anyway? Or a “thin panty liner”?
“Excuse me sir, do you need any help?” A cheerful voice came from behind him.
Vox whirled around. He could feel his face turn even more red as he thrust the list towards the unsuspecting sales girl.
“I..I need these. I mean, I don’t need them. My daughter needs them. I just…”
The sales girl seemed unphased. “How old is your daughter?”
“Thirteen.”
“Okay! She needs this, and this, and this…” she loaded the items into his cart. “Easy enough! Extra chocolate too, might be a nice thing to do.”
Vox could only nod and add an extra bar of chocolate to the cart. To his relief, she packaged everything up in discrete brown paper bags. As he swiped his card, he wondered why such a necessary product was priced so ridiculously high.
When he got back to the apartment, he knocked on Velvette’s door. She stuck her head out and took the bags.
“I woke up Val and he’s making hot cocoa. We’ll join you two in a few minutes. Now shoo.” She slammed the door in his face.
Vox resigned himself to the kitchen. He took a seat at the table and buried his attention in his phone as Valentino stood at the stove in his pajamas, stirring the hot chocolate pot.
“How are you, amicito?” He asked. “Big day for our little princessa.”
Vox groaned. “Can we not talk about it?”
“I think you need to get with the times. Your little girl needs you,” Valentino replied easily. “So get over yourself.”
Vox raised an eyebrow and looked over to him. “You’re not freaked out about this?”
Valentino shrugged. “Why should I be? Our little girl is simply growing up. If you treat her like the plague she will feel shame- and that’s the last thing we want, right?”
Vox considered. He hadn’t thought about it that way, how his reaction to what was admittedly a natural event, might affect her.
“Do you think she knows I’m…”
Valentino cut him off. “I think you did just the right thing, bringing her to Vel.”
“Here she is!” Velvette’s voice called through the kitchen. “Officially a young lady!”
Reader flushed and looked down. “Not…it’s not that big a deal I guess.”
“Oh, baby princessa, it is.” Valentino said as he ladeled the hot chocolate into a mug and added whipped cream. “The heating pad is all set on the couch. Remote is yours.”
“Thanks Uncle Val,” she mumbled as she made her way out to the living room.
“What’s wrong with her?” Vox asked with concern.
Both Valentino and Velvette looked at him with a mix of annoyance and shock. From the living room, the television blared top volume. All three recognized the theme to her favorite show.
“She hurts, she’s bleeding for the first time and she’s embarrassed about it,” Velvette answered. “Even though I told her there was nothing to be ashamed of. It’s normal.”
“So, what do I do?” Vox asked. “How do I help her?”
“You love her, and give her chocolate and give her a bit of grace if she’s crabby. Her hormones are all over the place,” Velvette replied. “And for god sake, get over yourself.”
Vox winced. He didn’t want to think about his daughter having hormones, or growing up. He knew it was a fact of life, but what he wouldn’t give to be unaware of it. Valentino handed him a cup of cocoa and he took a sip. He watched as Velvette flopped down on the couch next to his daughter.
“She’s going to grow up, Vox. You can’t stop it,” Valentino warned.
“I know I can’t,” Vox replied tiredly. “But I’m not ready to lose my little girl.”
Valentino gave him an irritated look. “What are you talking about? She’s still your little girl- she always will be. And right now she needs her family to support her,” he replied as he turned and left the kitchen.
Vox sighed as he watched Val collapse on the other side of the couch. He could barely make out their chatter. After a moment, he stood up and joined them and took the seat next to reader. Concern flooded his face as he looked at his daughter. She looked pale, paler than usual.
“How are you feeling, babygirl?” He asked. He reached over and brushed the hair out of her eyes, the palm of his hand lingering on her forehead for a moment. Was it him, or did she feel warm?
“I’m okay, Daddy, just tired,” she replied quietly. “My tummy hurts. Can I go to bed?”
“Of course you can, princess,” he replied as he pulled his hand away. “I’ll be in to check on you in a bit.”
She climbed off the couch and wrapped him in a hug. “Night night, Daddy.”
“Goodnight baby.” He replied.
She did the same with Valentino and Velvette before trudging back to her room. He heard the door close and looked to Velvette.
“She felt warm, is that normal?”
Velvette rolled her eyes. “You know what? Figure it out on your own. I’m going to bed.”
“Not a bad idea to do some research, amicito,” Valentino added as he stood up. “If nothing more than to help our little princessa.”
Vox watched them both retreat back to their rooms before shutting off the lights and returning to his own bed. He pulled out his phone and hesitated for just a moment. Breaking free of the ideas that he had been so held to in life was uncomfortable to say the least. But at the same time, he felt he owed it to his little girl to at least try to understand what she was going through. And he was willing to do whatever was necessary to make sure he was the best dad he could be.
Even if it meant figuring out exactly how to handle a period.

📢 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT 📢
Re: tariffs, production delays, pre-(re)orders incoming
Shipping will now be done through the US due to Trump getting rid of the $800 de minimis exeption for goods originating from China on Febuary 4th. This meant that all full and merch bundle buyers from the US would've had to pay an indeterminate amount of customs fees (as high as $30-50+ in some reported cases) as there were no British manufacturers who could make the non flat merch.
As of the 8th, Trump has temporarily suspended that order because of the insane workload on customs, but there's a high chance he'll get rid of the exception again and possibly do a blanket tariff for all countries by the time we ship.
It would be cheaper for us and a better buying experience for a big chunk of y'all if we decided to pay the tariff at production price than at $80 per bundle. Not to mention that a reported $10-30 tariff for 63% of our buyers would make for a horrible ordering experience.
What does that mean for everyone?
✧ We will re-open preorders for a week with corrected shipping, which will be cheaper for US and non-EU and UK buyers. ✧ US Domestic packages will be shipped through USPS. ✧ International packages will be shipped through Asendia, with last mile shipping done through your government's mail courier. ✧ British, Russian and Belarusian packages will be forwarded to Mod Ellie from the US -> UK -> (optionally) RU/BY. RU and BY orders will be shipped through Royal Mail once it gets to the UK. ✧ For those who have "underpaid" shipping, especially in the EU, don't worry. We'll eat the cost of what it will take to ship. ✧ For those who have overpaid shipping, we will be refunding the difference after shipping has finished as we may need it for unexpected production costs. Stripe and Paypal will also flag us if we do too many refunds within a short period of time, so these refunds may be done in waves. ✧ We will now be able to replace missing or damaged packages due to having better insurance coverage. More instructions will come regarding this once orders have been shipped. ✧ Production time may take longer as we will need to look around for new manufacturers for our books and prints. We are currently in talks with other suppliers though! ✧ Unfortunately cheaper, untracked shipping will not be available during leftover sales as we could not find anyone offering that service. The cheapest price we can offer for international shipping for one light, non flat object (such as a charm or enamel pin) is $15 for those saving for leftovers.
Thank you, everyone, for your patience! We're really sorry this had to happen but this is the best we can do. If you have any questions, send us an ask on tumblr or through our shop contact form.
