Stop comparing your western anglophone white mutt ass to Rwandans, Cambodians, Chinese, jews, Slavs, Roma etc. You’re lucky to live in a country where you have the freedom, the money and the time to invent ideologies while also telling women that they don’t exist and telling gnc kids that they’re trans for simply showing interest in things that aren’t stereotypical to their biological sex. You are literally reversing women’s rights while making the world turn against the lgbt community just as we finally started to gain equality. And no, equality doesn’t mean that you get to have extra special privileges. It means that you get treated with the same level of respect as anyone else. The privacy and decency to live your life in peace, but instead you decide to discredit the lives of others for your own “specialness” and try to censor people’s freedom of speech and choice. You’re the real fascists. As a bisexual woman who’s also of Eastern European/Balkan origin and a quarter Roma, I’m appalled by what this loud obnoxious minority is doing. It all started on this very site, but y’all aggressively pushed it outside of tumblr and are now pushing it on every fucking individual on the planet to the point that people are too afraid to say that they don’t want to date you, or that women are scared of telling you that you are once again oppressing us and violating our privacy and space. You can deny deny deny deny, but if you fucking turned off your phone or computer for once, went outside, touched some grass and regained contact with people in real life, you’d see that the world isn’t out to get you. All we’re tired of is you pushing your ideology on the rest of us. It’s gotten so bad that you’re literally denying biology, and comparing yourselves to people living in dictatorships that YOUR country(s) have every bit to do with it in the first place.

"I support trans people!" quick, are you normal about the concept of transandrophobia? Do you think it's just 'white men trying to be oppressed'? Do you brush it off as merely misdirected transmisogyny? Do you scoff at the struggles of trans men and go 'but trans women have it worse! talk to a trans woman and see how bad THEY have it!'?
Do you use a trans man's chest size as an excuse for constant misgendering? Do you hold transmasculine people to a standard of needing to be feminine so to not scare the women, but proceed to not take their gender seriously if they do perform femininity? Do you use your horribly veiled misandry as an excuse to make trans men feel unsafe in queer spaces?
Are you normal about AFAB transfems and AMAB transmascs? Intersex trans people? GNC trans people? Trans people who use xenogenders? Trans people who use it/its or other neopronouns? She/her transmascs and he/him transfems? Can you acknowledge that, sometimes, people are simultaneously transmasc and transfem? Do you accept transmasc women, transfem men, etc?
Do you invalidate the identities of trans women who have beards, or present 'masculinely'? Do you see them as predatory posers? Do you go out of your way to misgender trans women who happen to actually be predators, because 'clearly they were just men'? Do you shame trans women for exploring their sexuality?
Are autistic trans people not able to make decisions on their own transition, as far as you're concerned? Are our ways of expressing and seeing gender 'stupid' to you? Is the concept of autigender too 'insane' to you? Do you see our gender identities as simply jokes?
Can you survive being around a trans man lesbian or a veldian (link) trans woman? Can you support a multigender person who is both gay AND lesbian? Can you include transmasculine nonbinary people in your 'support' of nonbinary lesbians?
I've used the term 'conditional support' a few times, but it is very much conditional support if you explode over one trans person's identity, and then turn around and act all supportive of another's. If all it takes for you not to support a trans person is how they label their gender or sexuality, how they present, what their body looks like, etc, you are not supportive of trans people! Your 'support' is very limited and strict. You have one rigid idea of what trans people are 'supposed' to be, and anyone who deviates isn't valid or worthy, and that is NOT the kind of behavior an ally should exhibit. It is not the way you treat other trans people, and it is far from supportive.

Durgetash and Pronouns:
Gortash speaks politically correctly, remembers your pronouns, uses it, adapts his speech how he needs to, knows all the terminology and uses it appropriately. In public, when he has to be the respected Councillor Enver Gortash. When he's letting himself be viscious and trying to hurt you, pronouns and misgendering are not off the table in the slightest. Even when he is 'normal', he might let out a slight jab in that way unless you are someone he is actively trying to impress. He doesn't care about gender but he would use it as another tool to manipulate and/or hurt.
Strike makes way too many 'her pronouns are they/them' jokes, he uses every slur in the book and he drops them so casually you don't even register them for a few seconds, he sometimes slips up but would surprisingly use your right pronouns. If you have a neopronouns he is delighted because it's a new way of talking and he sees it as a fun challenge not to mess it up. He'd still kill you but if he knows you go by a specific name and sees you were burried under you deadname, he would go to your grave and change it. In general he does respect your gender except when it's funnier to him not to - that goes for both trans and cis people.

(Tw for talk of r/fakedisordercringe, ableism, fake claiming, harassment, etc.)
I have had it with r/fakedisordercringe. This subreddit is filled with content that is both ableist and harmful to the neurodivergent community. The posts mock autistic people, systems, people with ADHD, etc. suggesting that people are faking or exaggerating their symptoms for attention. First of all, it's incredibly harmful to assume that someone is faking a disorder just because they don't fit into your narrow view of what that disorder looks like. Autism, for example, is a spectrum disorder, which means that there are a wide variety of ways that it can present itself. Just because someone doesn't exhibit all of the classic symptoms that you associate with autism doesn't mean that they're faking it. (Tell me you're an aspie supremacist without telling me you're an aspie supremacist /hj)
The reasoning that the users of this subreddit often use tend to fall under these categories:
"They don't experience *insert disability* the same way that I do, so they must be faking"
"They post too frequently about their disability, so they must be faking"
"They support self diagnosis, so they must be faking"
"They use xenogenders/neopronouns, so they must be faking"
etc.
Has it ever crossed your mind that maybe not everyone is the same? That not everybody's disability is the same? /nbh
The idea that someone can determine whether or not another person is truly autistic or has a mental disorder based on a few online interactions (or even just a post!) is absurd. Not every autistic person or people with other disorders fits the stereotype of what people expect, and it's not up to strangers on the internet to decide who is "legitimate" and who is not.
As an autistic person, I'm tired of constantly having to defend myself and my experiences. I'm tired of seeing people with disabilities being reduced to nothing more than punchlines for jokes.
A few days ago someone in a youtube comment section accused me of faking being autistic, by saying something along the lines of "Self diagnosed ahh". First off, not everybody can safely access diagnosis. You are so incredibly privileged if you think everyone can. Somebody being undiagnosed does NOT immediately mean they are faking. Second off, I am literally professionally diagnosed.
I am tired of r/fakedisordercringe and the hate, misinformation, and stigma it perpetuates.
Leave disabled people ALONE.

give us your trans!grace thoughts pls i beg
WELL— how can I say no to that ???
But before I get into the transness and queer nature of Grace's gender, I gotta elaborate on the basics (we’re taking the long road here BUT TAKE MY HAND WE’LL GET THERE I PROMISE KSDHFJ)
It cannot be overstated that Grace’s gender as a teenage girl is quite inherent to her character, at least in how I interpret her. The way she was raised, her relationship with God and religion as a whole, her relationship to her family, her understanding of sex and sexuality, the way people (especially men, like Max or Kyle) treat her. It’s all tied back to the fact she's perceived as (and in canon identifies as) a teenage girl.
In fact, if we take the colour scheme of her general outfits (disregarding the green turtleneck sweater from Perky’s Buds, just for the ease of analysis here, but I have THOUGHTS about the turtleneck that tie more into Grace’s sexuality—) the major colours are pink and blue. Of course these colors have various meanings (including very trans meanings, WE’LL GET THERE) but let's start with basics. Pink and blue = girl and boy, as shown by the shirt division in AC. Push it further, her outfit in NPMD is baby pink and blue—which to me highlights her innocence, or expected innocence as that sexless, pure, deeply religious teenage girl everyone wants her to be.
But Grace is not that girl. She’s not the kind of girl that can sit and be quiet, because Grace Chasity is loud and abrasive and annoying to most who know her. She’s also not the kind of girl who can repress her sexual desires and wait until marriage. Grace isn’t soft and demure—she is quick to jump to rage, to violence, and she is desperate for the power that she’s been denied her whole life. Denied because she is a girl — a future wife, a future mother, a woman of church. Objectified and repressed and Grace clearly cannot stand being what her community deems to be a ‘girl.’
Okay now let's get into the trans shit BABYYY
(Disclaimer – I am trans, but my own experience does not encompass the trans experience as a whole nor am I willing to speak from any sort of authority beyond my own gender-fuckery. And for the sake of brevity, and because this is a tumblr post and already getting long, I’ll resist sourcing and quoting feminist and gender theory. For now)
I imagine, when approaching Grace from a trans or gender queer perspective, her own image of herself would be something like this. Grace is a girl because that’s what she’s always been—but maybe, if given the tools and the space and the time to think about it—she might come to conclusions. I think maybe Grace doesn’t necessarily identify heavily with either side of the specturm, but neither side is especially repulsive either. In a way, Grace is just Grace. I think at her healthiest someone would ask what her gender is and she’d say “Grace.”
Because she does enjoy wearing pretty dresses at church, and loves the pink in her wardrobe, and even adores the clips that her mom puts in her hair. But, I also think that’s not all Grace enjoys. (Heavily going off my fics here, I have a fic where Grace begins to dabble in drag) Maybe Grace likes drawing a fake beard on her face—because does she love Jesus or does she envy Jesus in a gender way? Maybe dressing up as Jesus is euphoric and enlightening and allows her to tough on masculinity in a way she never has before.
And pronouns ? Let’s talk about pronouns. I’ve joked before about Grace’s introduction to the concept of neopronouns by a joke the nerds make about “He/Him” pronouns for god being neopronouns. And I think Grace would really fuck with the idea of neoprounouns—of just getting to choose. To make a choice is to have power, and oh does Grace crave power—especially about her own body, about her identity, about who she is. I could honestly see Grace using any combination of pronouns. Any, neo, a mix, hell maybe she just goes by Grace and GOOD FOR HER !!
I also promised colour theory in the trans way – so lets touch on that. You cannot show me a character who is constantly dressed in a light pink and a light blue in ALL her outfits (except one, shhhh) and not expect me to point at her and nod my head going “yes trans.” Like COME ON? Purposeful? Highly unlikely, BUT… The colours in the trans flag DO come from the gender assigned to those two colours—and I don’t think it's unlikely that the colour scheme was picked for that reason instead.
ANYWAYYY. Those have been some of my thoughts on Trans!Grace Chasity that I have touched on a little in a fic (you can find that here if you’re interested but no pressure) and I really plan on touching on it again at some time. Thank you for the ask anon !!!

being nonbinary when yr native language is heavily gendered is like the joke about having a public facing gender a friends only gender a secret personal gender etc etc except you're literally maintaining a gender for your native language and a separate english language gender. speaking or even just knowing anything at all about any language other than english also makes all neopronouns discourse incredibly fucking stupid. every set of gender-neutral pronouns attempting to fulfil a similar grammatical role to the english they/them is a heavily contested cringe ass neopronoun in my language who fucking cares if someone wants to use fae pronouns online and around faes friends, as far as my native grammar is concerned im doing the same shit by using they/them online

Hiiii I'm nonbinary and genderfluid and use neopronouns and also I'm a real person who matters! And also there are thousands of other people like me and none of us actually appreciate being the butt of your jokes! Being queer doesn't exempt you from having to be fucking considerate about nonbinary people.
Also maybe lifting "they/them" as an intensifier for "ridiculous thing" in your memes from conservatives isn't actually working against transphobia and you should cut it the fuck out!! Thanks!! Do better!!!

It's kinda wack how English only does gender in third person. Like it's got benefits for sure and you don't gotta come up with large sets of neopronouns, but it also robs you of the ability to declare your grammatical gender just by speaking in first person and of the gender euphoria of being correctly gendered in second person by the person you're talking to. It's so rare to hear someone talk about you in third person to hear them gender you. In Japanese, you often even use names instead of second person pronouns, which yeah you can work the names of who you're talking to into sentences in English but not very smoothly or often.
And yes this would give people more opportunities to misgender and deadname you to your face it's not perfect and I'm not saying it would be better overall I just wanna talk about like. Missed opportunities. What if we just started using first and second person neopronouns anyway just because. Ani just decided to use "ani/oti/sheli/atzmi" for atzmi. Don't use "you/your/yourself" for oti, sheli second person pronouns are "thou/thee/thy/thine/thyself".
(This is a joke but on this post ani am committed to the bit and will correct anyone who misgenders oti.)

Nah cause I'm so sick of queer people who consider themselves better than others because they have more "palatable" identities. For example, trans people who take hormones, get surgeries, make an effort to pass bashing on other trans people who have more fluid identities, use neopronouns, don't make an effort to pass. It's that idea that more "unconventional" queer identities are less worthy of respect or childish in some way. Which just reinforces the idea that the proper way to be queer is to make yourself as safe and appealing to cishet society as possible. Or that you're "faking" if you're not "trying hard enough". Oftentimes the jokes and jabs I see made about these things by other LGBT folks are the exact same ones I see made by cishet people who genuinely hate all of us.
My FAVORITE thing about the community is how varied the queer experience is and how many ways people find to express themselves! If you want to pass or feel you have necessary steps in your transition that's great but don't treat those who feel differently like garbage.

If you consider yourself a trans ally or activist, you have to be okay with xenogenders and neopronouns. You do not get to write off certain identities as invalid just because you don't understand them. Furthermore, you do not get to throw these 'invalid' identities under the bus to better suit the needs of binary and/or 'normal' trans people. I saw a YouTube comment doing this shit.
"gender is more of a spectrum" and "that’s not to say that every single one of those genders is valid (like buggender for example. gender based on BUGS)" in the same comment is CRAZY. What's the matter, is buggender too 'weird' for you? Is that why you go out of your way to denounce the xenogender experience in your supposedly pro trans comment?
The casual way even trans people paint xenogenders as a joke is so fucking sickening. I don't care if you think shunning the 'weird' queers makes your point more palatable to ignorant cishets, don't do it. It only makes you a prick. Stop it. Your conditional activism isn't cute nor helpful to anyone.
