Aita for blocking a friend on instinct? So i (f16) have this friend, (m16) we can call him D, who i've been friends with since kindergarten.

About a year ago, i started growing very close to D through our friend group's dnd campaign we held every friday. I knew him for a long time but that was the first time we had started hanging out out of school. We were talking on snapchat every night just chatting and after a while he started to send much more... revealing snaps. Just his bare shoulders but like without a shirt. He said it was because he had to let his medication for his back dry. I was a little uncomfortable, but we were friends so i didnt think that it would escalate into anything weird.

After about a month, D starts sending snaps in a towel and pictures of his chest which made me very uncomfortable. I kind of let the chatting die down after that because it was the only way i could think of that would be enough to gently let him down easy (i was wrong). I stopped going to the hangouts with that group and kind of distanced myself because how uncomfortable D made me. This only made D try harder to get my attention.

I was still friends with the others in the group so i would often have one-on-one hangouts with the others and watch tv. One thing we watched was Miraculous and we laughed and joked about it all the time. D overheard us or something and went home and binge watched the entire series in a week. Then everytime i ate lunch with that friend group, D would always make direct references to Miraculous or sing the theme song really loud. This wasnt once a day, D would make miraculous references every single minute. He became obsessed with the show (which, for reference of how weird it was, D is a very religious Christian boy. He gets upset if he gets an A- and never drinks caffeine (no problem with any of those things but just understand that kind of guy being deep within the fandom of Miraculous out of all shows 😭)). It was so bad, and it once again was making me very uncomfortable.

Eventually, it got to an insufferable point where D changed his route to go home and made sure to pass me every day after school and wave. I started avoiding him in the halls, he would always ask obscure questions that werent that important. I couldn't understand why he couldn't get that i didnt want to be friends with him anymore so i set boundaries.

A text i sent to D: i apologize if i ever caused any misunderstanding, but i would like to make it clear that im not romantically interested in you. i can see that you have been trying to grow closer, but i dont feel the same way. i don't appreciate being followed around, and i dont like when people force themselves to like the same things i like. its not attractive to be a copy of someone. i enjoy being your friend but it's difficult to disregard these things. if im being totally honest, when you do things like this, it makes me really uncomfortable and borderline creeped out. i know crushes wont disappear overnight but i would appreciate more space. if youre looking for a girlfriend, this isnt the right person, nor the right way to get it. and i wont tell anyone about this so dont worry about word spreading or anything. thank you

D's response: Oh, I'm so sorry I made you think that! I don't have a crush on you, I just noticed how you don't hang out with our friend group as often and I just wanted to make sure that I was being as nice as possible to make sure you weren't mad at us or anything. I did start to think that maybe me trying all that made me seem clingy or annoying, so I'm really sorry for all of that. Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I'll try to do better now!

I haven’t watched any critical role/dimension 20 stuff (I watched one ep of Vox Machina and do plan on watching more but haven’t gotten around to it yet) but fantasy high sounds fun. Do you think it’s a good entry point into their stuff or should I start with something else

I do think fantasy high is a good starting point. Its high fantasy in the sense that its classic dnd but its set in a very “normal” setting i think they describe it as like an 80s high school but they have phones and stuff so its modern i think its more about like the stereotypical high school vibes where the 80s thing came from. i believe a lot of fantasy high is also available for free on youtube if you dont have a dropout subscription that also makes it a good starting point.

its currently on the 3rd season and was the first d20 show made but d20 is an anthology so most of their shows have like just the one campaign ranging from 4-20 episodes.

if you like the more classic political high fantasy stuff i think people generally recommend a crown of candy but i cant say much about it even though i watched bc i did so very casually and it is good but political/court stuff is just not my preference. it also has a 6 episode prequel show the ravening war which i enjoyed more than acoc.

i also highly recommend starstruck odyssey which is like a space setting and is just incredibly funny.

for something not d20 i just watched exandria: calamity which is actually dm’ed by brennan and is a prequel series as well but you dont need to know anything going in - i didnt. it was really great and a lot of people incl brennan say its some of the best dnd theyve played/watched

i also really enjoyed magic and misfits which is a d20 show and only 4 episodes ive seen that twice i think

dans asks whats a margaritta? dess looks so fucking sad oh no. anyway into the hotel! theres some unforgettable california girls inside xD the receptionist says welcome to the hotel california. oh no the session has devolved. help.

dans did an arcana check but it seems normal wtf. i hate this. beach themed bedroom. inferno get off the bed you dont deserve it. dans asks dess again what a margaritta. she says its a gay drink and dans says to show him. "im sorry did you say COCKtail?" dans please. 'wtf is tequilla?' cam has heard of it apparently. cam says its made far south. suzy chucks a pillow at undyne. undyne throws it back.

dans asks tori if she wants to go in the lobby with him to wait in the lobby for sunnie. tori asks cam to watch the kids. thumbs up! suzy yeets a pillow at cam lol. vani tries to hit suzy with a pillow but she just takes it and hoists him up lol. inferno hits her with a pillow. she turns around pissed lol he acts innocent. suzy doesnt buy it lol. undyne went to eeby deeby for a moment oh no. pillow fight! undyne returns!

dans and tori get to the lobby and he gives her some coffee. talking about brothers. dans fucking tells tori that yeah, i know your a warlock. whos your patron? dans says he will help tori. 'i wont make her same mistakes.' 'so you know this person? interesting.' talking about her crazy mom. dans says she can choose to be better, and he will support her anyway he can. dans admits hes a bit jealous she still has sunnie. "worst comes to shove we can get married and move out to the countryside." that throws her for a loop xD dans cuts off the dark convo and asks about cute stories about the kids xD

sunnie messages tori asking to meet at margarittaville wtf. he'll meet us outside to take us lol. dans is gonna go support her. gonna get the kids to remeet him. dess suddenly came downstairs carrying the smalls. suzy says they broke the whole room. dans says they can come for a remeet if they want. and suzy can beat him up if hes rude. dans tells cam to watch undyne and inferno since they left them alone lol. cam wants to go with us tho so i guess dess is in charge lol. cam starts infodumping the books sunnie wrote to dans lol.

sunnie shows up and kinda stands there awkward. dans squeezes tori's hand in reassurance. cam is embarrassed lol. suzy is glaring at him lol. re-introducing the kids! frog is still excited awww. tori glances at suzy to behave. going to margarittaville! inferno went eeby deeby.

ordering at margarittaville suzy wants one xD cam too. tori says suzy cant lol. dans gets them nonalcoholic ones. sunnie asks how the kids happaned. they found tori xD cam says were cursed together. run while you can! so...hows sunnies life been? their both so awkward. no kids or anything. cam says they met them now and winks xD tori fucking glares. sunnie chokes omg. tori sends wind into cams face lol. jesus cam you cant say this in front of the kids. their rolling to seduce i think kay is gonna kill them

tori fucking tries to charm cam but dans counterspells it. dans tells cam what she tried to do. tori cockblocks lol. dans says to keep it in their pants until the meeting is done. dans gets back on track and coughs about teya. awkward. portal business. how do you even respond to that? tori hugs sunnie cause he started crying. she apologizes for how she told him at the library. meanwhile dess is giving undyne weed lol. shes super hungry so they show up at margarittaville oh no. sunnie finally stops crying and pats frog on the head. dans slides his drink over to cam since cams is almost empty. and here come the high people screaming for food.

dans goes to do damage control and tells tori to uh take care of everyone else. undyne fucking just picks dans up. yes he will get her food. he has to fucking babysit jesus. he tries to keep her satiated with jerky and dess is sad dans went to margarittaville without her lol. dans says hes gonna have to talk to dess later and she instantly gets serious oh no. cam once more shot their shot and left lol. dess fucking drops the bombshell her sister is also dead jesus.

dans is giving her a margaritta oh no. dess is staring off with a scared look oh no dans fucked up. dans says she doesnt have to talk about it if she doesnt wanna and shes a bit relieved. sending undyne to bed. specifically a bathtub lol. cam apparently went to bother shopkeepers. time for dans to get high!

meanwhile frog tries to bond with sunnie over being bards. tori says he used to be better at parenting lol. dess goes to eeby deeby. sunnie is still in shocked of course. he asks what tori has been up to. she spent too long in a cave lol. he asks about dans xD frog gives tori a devious smirk. teasingly says their in love awwww. sunnie says she never explained how they actually met. she was looking for frog and uh cursed. suzy once more was raised by wolves xD

For lamp light I know we don’t really get to see what they where like before they got separated but what was there dynamic and roles who was the healer was there one and what are there races are they all human what are alignments also what are the classes what did they contribute how did they meet their not the focus but do you have plans and what ever they’re up to are Jimmy and big b together I think grian will be important and b if he meets ren but jimmy is the outlier what magic do they have

well. to start. the thing about Lamplight is it's a renchanting AU. so honestly, i didn't think very hard about Jimmy, BigB, or Grian, or what the four of them were like as a party prior to Torchlight. it wasn't the point of the story, so... my focus has always been elsewhere (read: with Ren. it's with Ren. I love Ren)

that said... all four of them are human. i imagine there was no leader when they traveled together, because like. have you Seen the way these guys act.

on that note, they were never a cohesive and balanced adventuring party out to like, save the world or do any Lofty DnD things. theyre childhood friends taking some quests and exploring for fun. i doubt they ever took massively dangerous quests before ending up at Dogwarts. i doubt they had a healer, either--they really were mostly just doing Extreme Camping

theyre like, genuinely not particularly noteworthy as far as adventurers go? these arent heroes of the village. they're just some dudes. theyre stronger and more athletic than your average civilian, but they're not Chosen Ones

as for class... i dont actually know Jimmy and BigB well, i dont really watch them, so. i outsourced. i asked my friend who likes bigb what class she thinks he should be and she said "i dont know anything about dnd." i asked my friend who likes jimmy what class they think he should be and they said "i dont know anything about dnd." the answers they eventually came back with were ranger and warlock, respectively, so i guess those (tho admittedly, i dunno warlocks are a Thing in lamplight, so maybe sorcerer for jimmy)

which, related, the classes and magic system work different in Lamplight than it does in Actual DnD, mostly because I also dont know much about Actual DnD (which probably shows). the classes are pretty loose and mostly vibe-based.

the magic system is... i will explain what i have for it eventually, because i'm quite fond of it, but honestly, it isn't super complex or well-defined. it's exactly as thought out as it needs to be for Ren to function, because this fic isnt meant to have a massive and fleshed out world. i'm no eiichiro oda, i'm not trying to fill every inch of the vast ocean. i'm really only interested in the space around ren's campfire

all this to say... i didn't work out the details of bigb or jimmy's magic super well.

what i had in mind for Jimmy is vaguely that he can conjure up little ethereal shapes, like wings and probably other little things like that. nothing that would do any real damage, like a weapon, but he can enhance himself a bit with his magic

BigB i'm even less sure of. i can't remember if i had anything in specific in mind for him at all, except that it would also be about manipulating the space immediately around him. magic users can usually only do one sort of magic/spell, and theirs were both centered on themselves and enhancing themselves/their immediate surroundings

finally, for your questions about the actual current plot... good questions! glad you're interested! suppose we'll have to wait and see!

When CollegeHumor made dropout it was a different pitch entirely. They said, hey, we have this new subscription service where you can catch longer form content that we are starting to make (I think the only show directly taken from stuff they'd already posted on youtube was Um, Actually and breaking news, so mostly all new stuff we'd never seen) and we're launching a cool actual play dnd. They were going to keep posting their short form sketches on youtube and eventually post a few of the Um, Actuallys and Breaking Newses on youtube but just later and not all of them. But it was clear that Dropout was extra not the only way to watch collegehumor.

I don't remember if the backlash was really all that different honestly because I was a much more casual fan of them at the time but from my understanding, they never presented Dropout as the new home of CollegeHumor content, it was the new stuff. And after their parent company gave up on them and Sam Reisch took over as CEO, that was when it kind of had to become the new home because they no longer had money to produce anything for just youtube but Dimension 20 had popped off by then so they made it.

It also doesn't help that Watcher is built upon the backs of about 3 (now 4, with Andrew's return) personalities. The scale is smaller, there can only be so many shows and so much growth because there's only three of them. Dropout was built around a much bigger cast and supported by a large pilot season the first year it existed. There were a bunch of new shows to try that had never existed on youtube so it didn't feel like a takeaway it felt like a new thing that you could pay for if you wanted. I was never under the impression that watcher was taking down their old stuff and frankly I think anyone who was maybe needs to breathe a little deeper next time, but that still doesnt mean putting continuations of those beloved series behind a paywall isn't still a bad idea and taking something from loyal fans.

My takeaway from when I saw the dropout release trailer vs the watcher.tv release trailer is that Dropout was presented as a pseudo patreon, a we wanna make longer shit but we can't do that on youtube so come support us here if you can. Watcher.TV was presented as the equivalent of "you like this? Well, you gotta pay for it now, and remember how we have a patreon? Well we dont, so we're not gonna mention it at all in our launch"

I think if Watcher hadn't hyped it up as much and if they had either not had a patreon or expressed that this would essentially become their new patreon, everything would have gone over better. It also doesnt help that the economic climate of now vs 2018 (?) is very different, not to mention the average viewership I think did skew ever so slightly older for CollegeHumor than Watcher's ever has. (NOT A TON, I THINK JUST A LITTLE BIT LIKE 15-30 VS 18-30, RELAX)

All in all, I think with their apology they've handled their mistake pretty well and I think posting all their content a month later instead of just like, maybe older series that people already know and love, is a generous offer and probably one theyre making as a peace offering. Even dropout doesn't do that. But if they want to survive long term as a company, they need to hire or at least feature more on-camera personalities to lessen the load because they're gonna need a lot more content.

Can I ask and this is a genuine question like I just want to understand, why do people take issue with watcher using their own platform for their content but as far as I know no one really takes issue with dropout and college humour employing the same model?

They're both channels that are really popular on here so hoping someone has an answer.

Summary: Eddie knows about Y/n’s past of living in an abusive home and her self harm. But he can’t help her by himself anymore.

A/N: First time posting anything on here and writing anything Stranger Things related. Pls don’t hate. Most things that I write are based closely on my own experiences and traumas, this way I can write a better and happier ending though. Loud banging on the trailer door annoyed the shit out of Eddie. Who would be knocking at eleven o'clock at night?

“What the hell do yo…” He cut himself off after seeing the girl in front of him. “Y/n?”

“Can I come in?” She asked, not looking directly at him while fidgeting with the charm bracelet around her wrist and watching her surroundings as if she's worried someone might be watching her.

Eddie nodded his head before moving to let her in then shutting the door behind them both as he watched the girl carefully who still wouldn’t look at him.

“Are you okay? You don’t normally show up here so late.”

“Is Wayne here?” She asked first while looking around.

“No, he’s at work.” He moved closer to her, grabbing her hand lightly to make her look at him but to no avail. “Y/n/n what’s going on?”

Just then she finally turned to look at him, tears brimming her eyes threatening to fall, her cheeks already tear stained, probably from whatever happened that caused her to walk to the trailer park so late at night by herself. But what really shocked him was the cut on her left cheek that was starting to form a nasty bruise.

“Who did this to you princess?” Eddie got angry but gently cupped her other cheek and placed his other hand under her jaw so he could properly inspect the injury on his best friend's face. “Did Harrington do this? Did he hit you? I swear if he hurt you I’ll...”

“Steve didn’t do this Ed’s, you know he would never lay a hand on me like that.” Y/n pushed him away before playing with her bracelet again, specifically the baseball bat charm, Steve’s charm.

After everything with the upside down everyone got little charms to represent themselves to give to everyone in the group to remind them they will always have each other when they look at the charms. Charms like a baseball bat, guitar, camera, skateboard, the number eleven and so on. All the girls wear theirs as a charm bracelet or necklace while the guys keep the charms on their keychains or walk talkies for those who still can’t drive. 

“Your step dad.” Eddie realized his mistake.

Y/n nodded before letting out a loud sigh and looked up at him with pleading eyes.

“Can we…” She trailed off but he knew what she was asking, she was wanting him to let her get high.

“I don’t think that’s a very smart idea, princess.” He once again used the nickname he gave her after she joined one of his dnd campaigns where she was practically royalty having been the only female to partake in the Hellfire club. 

“Please Ed’s.” She grabbed onto his arm. “It’s better than what I could do instead.”

Eddie looked down at her arms where he was able to see some of the angry red lines and not so faded scars that peek out from under her sleeves that came up a bit when she grabbed his arm. He knew that he was the only one who knows about what she’s done to herself. He’s tried to help her but he can’t just force her to stop and she’s started taking up smoking weed as an alternative. 

“I think we should maybe call Steve princess.”

“No.” Her eyes went wide squeezing his arm tighter.

“We don’t have to tell him about everything, just let him know you’re not okay right now.” He soothes her. “I’m just worried for you.”

“Please Eddie, don’t call Steve. He had to work late, I don’t wish to bother him.”

“Okay.” He sighed, unable to resist her puppy eyes and motioned to the couch. “Sit down and I’ll get the stuff.” 

“Thank you.” She mumbled and moved to the sofa while he went to his room.

After shutting the door to his bedroom he let out a loud sigh while rubbing a hand on his head. He didn’t want to supply her with anything while she was like this but he knew if he didn’t the harm she would do to herself would be a hundred times worse. 

Eddie still remembers the day he found out about her self harm like it was yesterday. It broke him to find out his best friend did that to herself. He had given her a Hellfire shirt after the others really enjoyed her company and accepted her into the club. She had changed in the bathroom but refused to come out at first, it wasn’t until he barged in that Eddie understood why she didn’t want to come out. The sleeves weren’t long enough. He saw the many lines of red that littered the beautiful skin of her wrists. He thought the sleeves would be fine considering he thought the only reason she always wore long sleeves was because of her anemia, causing her to always be cold. He never thought it could be anything like this.

After he begged her why she did this to herself did she finally give in and explained everything that happened at home. Her alcoholic mother who would threaten to kick her out every other day. Sometimes actually kicking her out for a few days where she would stay at his place, or Steve's and sometimes Nancy’s. Though the latter two were only ever told that she forgot her keys and her parents were out of town so she couldn’t get in. And her step dad who would beat the ever living shit out of her, telling her how worthless she is. Eddie couldn’t count how many times she came over with bruises riddling her arms and torso. And he’ll never forget the time she came to him with a broken rib. But this was the first time her step dad ever left a mark on her face, always careful to mark her where she could easily cover the bruises up with clothes. It’s why he thought someone else hit her.

It wasn’t until he got sucked into everything with the upside down that Y/n finally told him the whole truth. The nightmares she’s cursed with almost every night, the panic attacks she has when she hears certain sounds that reminds her of that horrible place. The worst of it was the couple days after fighting Vecna when she faulted herself for Eddie and Steve getting hurt by the demo bats. And Max being hospitalized with so many broken bones and comatosed. 

What’s worse is she begged him not to tell her boyfriend, Steve Harrington, about all of this. Said something about he has his own shit to deal with. Steve knows about the nightmares and panic attacks at least, he has them himself sometimes and knows how to help her with them. But she says she doesn’t want him to see her as weak, or weaker than she already is. But no matter how much Eddie reassures her that he won't see her that way she still refuses. 

But Eddie knows what he has to do now as he grabs the phone off the wall in his bedroom, quickly dialing the one number he thought for the longest time he would never know, let alone have memorized as he starts rummaging around for his personal stash.

“Hello.” A groggy voice was heard from the other line.

“You need to come over, now.” Eddie hissed into the phone just low enough for only the other to hear and not alert the girl in the next room.

“Munson?” Steve yawned. “Why are you calling me so late?”

“I’ve got our Y/n/n here and she’s not okay.”

“Got it.” Steve said and Eddie could hear rummaging through the phone. “I’ll be there in a few minutes.”

With that they both hung up and Eddie continued taking his sweet time “looking” for his stash wanting to buy some time for Steve to get there.

“Eddie?” Y/n’s voice traveled through the trailer. “What’s taking so long?”

“Sorry princess, I seem to have misplaced my stash.” He lies to her. 

After a few minutes lights went by the window causing Eddie to sigh knowing it was Steve’s red BMW pulling up. Eddie quickly grabbed a few joints as to not alert the girl of any suspensions before opening the door and going back to where Y/n is sitting.

“I was starting to think you actually ran out.” Y/n sighed when she saw him reappear. 

“Had to make new hiding spots for it after everything with the police.” He says placing the joints on the counter. “Even though my name was cleared by the government I still got some of the cops on my ass for no reason.”

“That sucks.” Just then frantic knocking came from the door causing the girl to go stiff in her seat. “Who’s here?”

“I don’t know.” Eddie shrugged playing it off. “Don’t worry, I’ll make them leave.”

She nodded her head as she watched her best friend open the door slightly but she couldn’t see who was on the other side.

“How is she?” The voice made her freeze in shock.

Eddie just shook his head before opening the door more to let him in. Steve looked around for a second before his eyes landing on the one person he was looking for. His eyes softening when he saw she was okay but then went to concerned after scanning her over and seeing the cut and bruise on her cheek.  

“What the fuck Eddie?” The girl yelled, quickly crossing her arms over her chest as she curled up in her seat not happy with the situation. “You promised not to tell him.”

Steve looked at the other male confused for a second before moving to sit next to his girlfriend.

“Princess, I didn’t tell him anything.” Eddie explained with his hands up.

“He was worried, baby.” Steve reassured her. “Said you aren’t okay.”

She just continued glaring at the long curly haired man in front of her.

“You need to tell him.” Eddie gave her a stern look.

“Tell me, please.” Steve cupped her injured cheek gently making her look at him, seeing the sadness in his eye as he rubbed his thumb over the forming bruise. “Who did this to you?”

“No one.” She whispered, pulling away from his touch.

“Bullshit Y/n.” Eddie yelled, now clearly frustrated. “If you don’t tell him, I will!”

“Eddie.” Her eyes went wide in fear. 

After a few moments of silence, Y/n and Eddie glaring at each other with Steve looking between the two friends confused, Eddie finally sighed turning to Steve.

“It was her step dad.” 

“Eddie.” She hissed but also not able to believe her best friend broke his promise right in front of her.

“This isn’t the first time either.” He continued as Steve’s eyes went wide at what he was hearing. “It’s just the first time he left his mark in a visible spot. She’s come here a number of times bruised, even a broken rib one time.”

“Shut up.” The girl now stood up angry.

“And all those times she said her parents were out of town and she locked herself out of her house was a lie.” Eddie looked at Y/n for a second before continuing. “Her alcoholic mother kicked her out. Threatens to kick her out permanently like every other day.”

“Eddie stop.” 

“There’s more.” He glared at her. 

“Eddie, don't.” Her jaw was set.

“You tell him or I do.”

Then Y/n turned around to face Steve whose face showed a mix of emotions; fear, anger, sadness and so much more. “I want to go home.”

“What?” Both of them yell, looking at her like she was crazy.

“I want to go home.” She repeats and tries walking to the door but they both grab her wrists, causing her to hiss and pain but neither of them let go.

“There’s no way in hell I’m taking you back to that bastard.” Steve scoffed.

“I don’t want to be here.” She glared at Eddie before giving Steve pleading eyes.

Steve sighed, letting go of her wrist looking up at Eddie for a second who clearly had so much more to tell him. But Steve looked back at his girl and nodded his head.

“You’ll stay with me tonight.” He tucked some hair behind her ear then handed her his keys. “Why don’t you get in the car baby girl, I’ll be right out.”

“I’m sorry Y/n.” Eddie said as she started to leave. “I only did this because I care about you.”

“Bye Eddie.” She mumbled before going out the door and to the car.

“At least she said bye.” Steve pointed out. “If she absolutely hated you right now she would have stormed out without a word.”

“True.” Eddie slightly nodded his head but still seemed sad. “I’m sorry this is the way you had to find out.”

“I’m glad you told me man.” Steve patted his shoulder. “How long have you known?”

“Not even a year. I practically made her tell me after I saw her…”

“Saw what?” Steve was even more concerned now.

“She needs to tell you that.” Eddie sighed. “But all I know about what happened tonight is what's on her cheek. I have no idea if there’s more anywhere else or exactly what caused it to happen.”

“Thank you for calling me. You’re a great friend to have kept your promise for so long but this isn’t something you need to help her with alone.” Steve placed a hand on his shoulder seeing that Eddie was beating himself up about all of this in his head. “You did the right thing.”

“Thanks man.” Eddie took a deep breath in. “Take care of our girl and update me in the morning on how she’s doing and the plan for everything.”

“I will.” Steve nodded. “She’ll be okay. We’ll make sure of it.”

The two shared a quick hug for a brief moment before Eddie walked Steve to the door and watched as he got in the car and waited until he couldn’t see them anymore before going back inside.

He hopes he did the right thing and didn’t just ruin his friendship.

Pt 2

guys i have my perfect byler endgame 2024 storyline…

my vision is so clear i have it all figured out i need to get into the writers room expeditiously.

so obviously i think the truth of wills (and everyones) feelings will come out through the painting lie being unraveled, and i think first thatll happen in a conversation between mike and el.

mike will be confused about why things still feel weird between him and el after the monologue and all that, and things will be sorta tense between them with all this miscommunication. he did what he was supposed to right? said what he was supposed to? and he knows how el feels too and how shell always need him and everything, because will told him, so why are things still wrong? so finally he confronts her so they can finally have a real talk since everything went down because he needs to figure out whats causing the tension so they can go back to normal.

this is where the truth finally starts to come out. mike asks el why shes been distant and she sorta expresses how she felt about what he said in the monologue and how things still didnt feel right to her. how things he said didnt make sense and through tears she says she didnt know if she fully believed him. and of course mike gets defensive and is like “what? el why wouldnt you believe me?” and shes still sorta crying, really similar to the season 4 fight and shes like “you loved me from the moment you saw me? youve never been scared of me? mike i’m not stupid i’ve felt it. why did you lie?” and then mikes of course spluttering a little and still defensive and is like “okay, okay. maybe i- i was panicking and embellished some things but it doesnt change how i feel now, okay? im sorry, i was just- so scared of losing you and i thought if i said what you needed to hear youd be okay and then we could figure it out and be okay again. okay? but i didnt lie about how i feel now, about being afraid of losing you, and how special you are. i promise.”

and el has a sad teary little smile and is like “mike, what i needed was for you to tell the truth. no more lies.. from both of us.” she takes in a breath, and mike is watching her, looking a little hurt and confused still. “im sorry for lying about lenora. i just- i get scared of what you think about me, sometimes. how you see me. i feel like i have to- show you that i am good, and special, like you say. even without my powers.” mike looks even more confused, and tears are welling in his eyes as he processes this new truth. el lets out a watery little laugh. “trying to be a girlfriend is hard, sometimes. i think sometimes, maybe we dont always understand each other.” shes looking at mike now with a more serious look in her eyes, hoping he understands her now.

mike finally speaks, still tears in his eyes, asking earnestly. “but- but el, what about.. what about the painting? and needing me? i thought i made you feel better about being different. i thought i- i thought i- helped. or- that you saw me as- ”

“what painting?” el is genuinely confused.

mike is almost begging at this point, defiantly trying to hold on to the truth hed been given those weeks ago that hed been living off of since, that had kept him going through this all. “el, the painting you told will to make for me, remember? about the heart? about how you see me as- how i lead the party?” he feels the pieces falling apart as he says it, feels how it doesnt make sense the more he explains it out loud. a painting of the party? in a dnd role-playing scene? el not even in the picture? he cant remember a time hed even talked about dnd to el. doesnt know if she even knows how it works. and shes still looking at him, completely perplexed. his mind is filling with a dull buzz.

“mike i- im sorry. i didnt tell will to paint anything.”

the buzz is louder. “what?” they look at each other, both trying to understand what the other person is saying. “so then, you didnt- help will with the painting?”

she shakes her head.

“you didnt- you didnt tell him that- that im the heart? and you need me?”

“mike- ” she grabs his hands. “i do need you, in my life, i just- i think i need to find my own strength, too. i need to grow more, on my own.”

mike processes this. a tear slips down his cheek but he nods firmly, starting to settle these new pieces into place and deciding to push the missing ones aside to worry about later.

“and i think- i think we both could be happier, if we dont have to worry about this- pretending and how we see each other. i think we make each other- try too hard sometimes. to be something were not. even if we dont mean to.”

both of them let out a little laugh and mike grips her hands tighter, both crying lightly.

“im sorry el, i- ” mike doesnt know what to say.

“its okay, mike.” she smiles. “i, care for you so much too.”

they both laugh again, more genuine this time, lightening the emotions for a second.

“promise?” mike asks, serious now.

she squeezes his hands. “promise.”

he nods quickly again and takes a deep breath. “okay. okay.”

they sit in silence for a moment, hands still intertwined.

she gives him a half smile. “friends?”

he smiles back. “yeah, sure. best friends.” and they pull each other into a tight hug, still sniffly on both ends.

and THEN after the healthy mutual mileven break up that everyone deserves, they get to start over as friends on a more healthy level for both of them. things slowly become more comfortable between them as they get to know each other better, but things between mike and will are now tense where just before this they were great. mike is still stewing over those missing pieces of the puzzle, and they all revolve around the painting. now that hes figured things out with el, what the hell was that painting about? and why did will lie to him? will never lies to him. he cant stop thinking about it. he tries to figure it out on his own, but he cant seem to find the missing pieces. hes hurt and confused that will would lie like that, because he thought things were good between them again, and he doesnt get why he would just make that stuff up when it wasnt true, especially because he knew how mike felt. mike had bared his soul to will about his insecurities and doubts, and will just lied to him and gave him false hope. that was what hurt the most, finding out that no one actually did see mike like that and need him like that and feel that way about him. he shouldve known it was too good to be true, but hed been so desperate to believe those words because theyd been everything hed ever wanted to hear. stupid. and again, seriously, what the hell was up with that goddamn painting? what was it even for?

will had seemed confused and hurt when mike suddenly became distant towards him again. and when word had gotten around the group that mike and el had broken up, the energy between him and will only got weirder, and now it sorta felt like they had both been avoiding each other. so maybe will knows now, that mike knew he lied to him. well, mike had had enough, and he decides to cut the bullshit and finally confront him about it.

in the midst of the looming apocalypse (only about a week or two after mike and el break up, maybe. however long they can fit into like two episodes while feeling the most fitting), mike finds an opportunity to catch will alone. maybe its outside in the rain, maybe its in the upside down, maybe its in mikes basement, maybe its a mix of some of those, whatever. i havent mapped out any ideas for the actual plot of season five just the byler stuff idk what they have planned. but anyway. theyre finally alone. and mike breaks the awkward tension by saying something like “why did you lie to me will?”

will looks a little like a deer caught in headlights. “what?”

“its just whatever with the whole ‘friends dont lie’ thing then i guess, right?”

“what do you mean?”

“will, come on, you know what i mean. the painting?”

wills face turns red, and he looks hesitant to say anything, not sure what mike has figured out and what he hasnt.

“all that stuff about el ‘always’ needing me? how i made her feel like shes not a mistake at all?”

still nothing from will.

“yeah, well, when we broke up, we finally had a real talk about everything, and turns out she didnt say any of that shit. she didnt need me in the way i thought she did, and she had no idea about the painting she supposedly commissioned. so what the hell was all that about? why did you lie to me will?”

“im sorry, i just- i was just trying to help.”

“trying to help? so giving me false hope about my failing relationship is ‘helping’, somehow. why would you tell me she felt that way when she didnt?”

“i didnt know that she didnt! jesus, i didnt even know you guys were having problems until you got to lenora.”

“so you just decided to assume how she felt about me, and how she saw me, just pull something out of your ass? cause theres no risk there right?”

“i didnt pull it out of my ass! how could someone not see you that way?”

a short beat.

“what?”

will falters, embarrassed and wondering if hes revealing too much, but he presses on. “i mean- i just couldnt stand hearing you say those things about yourself. about how you were just ‘some random nerd’, like you were nothing special and only got lucky, because you- you are special. and i just- i just needed to show you that. and i figured el did feel that way. and i thought- if i just told you those things, youd feel more sure about things with el, because- ” hes rambling, and mike cuts him off with a quiet revelation.

“it was you.”

will stops, and they stare at each other. the missing pieces start to fall into place.

“it was you this whole time. the painting, everything you said, it was all from you, wasnt it?”

will lets out a shaky breath and his hands stutter. but he doesnt say no.

“everything about- about being different, and- ” its all starting to catch up to mike at once and he stares at will, eyes wide, and will cant tell what it is hes seeing. “wait was that- was that the painting youd been working on?before i came to lenora? i-” he shakes his head in disbelief, as if trying to get the thoughts to settle inside. “tell me will, its you, right?”

a pause.

“yeah.” his voice is quiet, and mike gapes, frozen.

will stands firm, fists clenched at his sides, resigning to his fate. he continues, voice louder, but he cant stop it from wavering completely. “yeah. i am different, okay? and troy and- and my dad and everyone were right.” he says this with some bitterness. his eyes rapidly fill with tears. “everyone was right about me, and im sorry- and maybe part of you knew that part, but… but im sorry it had to be you.” the tears begin to fall. he sounds quieter again. “but its always been you. since we were kids its been you.”

theres a long silence as the confession hangs in the air. wills shoulders are slumped, seemingly drained from the effort of holding onto this for so long for it to now finally be released, and his fists are unclenched. hes looking at the ground, crying quietly, avoiding looking directly at mike.

mikes eyes have tears in them too, and he looks at will in disbelief. he makes a few steps towards him.

“will.”

will finally looks back up at him, and they lock eyes. mikes looking at him like hes seeing him for the first time. a decade of memories are flashing behind his eyes, all now painted with a new light, and everything, everything finally falls into place. questions he didnt even know he had, didnt know he was even allowed to ask, are now being answered, and everything makes more sense than it ever has.

wills eyes shift between mikes, not daring to draw any conclusions. “what?”

theyve gotten even closer.

“this- this entire time, my whole life, ive been looking for you.”

will is holding his breath and lets out an invisible little gasp, staring at mike with wide glistening eyes. the weight of what mike is saying joins the already thick air, and both are unable to speak right away. but they are both beginning to understand.

“ive been looking for you and- and i guess i kept running into el instead, but- ”

everything is whirring. mike takes the final step so that theyre only a handful of inches apart and he slowly raises his hand to wills cheek. hes still looking at him in disbelief. will cannot believe this is happening. this is something hed never dared to hope for, much less something hed ever dare to ask for. everything else is fuzzy and he can only feel mikes hand on his cheek, can only see mikes face, can only hear mikes voice.

“but hey, i found you now, right?”

“right..” wills almost whispering too. hes shaking. “mike, wh- ”

“just wait, i need to see something, okay?”

will nods. “okay.”

mike inches even closer.

“is this okay?”

will nods again. everything feels hot.

mike cups wills face with both hands and looks down at him for another moment. they glance at each others lips and its not subtle. mike looks like he cant believe what hes about to do, will looks like he cant believe it either, and then, with a burst of courage, eyebrows knitted in determination, mike grips wills face and swoops in and kisses him firmly on the lips.

its only a second, and they seperate and stare at each other again, both looking like they could almost cry with relief. they share in a brief overwhelming oh moment and immediately crash back together, this time with will bringing his hands up to grab mikes hair and back. they have a few passionate moments, releasing all this pent up yearning and overwhelming feelings, before breaking apart again and having a forehead touch moment that melts into a tight, real hug with their hands in each others hair as they laugh-cry together.

and voila thats where we leave that scene and then byler endgame and they get to be a little couple for the last few episodes through the final events. and everyone is supportive of course and we get lots of beautiful emotional moments there too with everyone accepting not only will but mike too and both of them together. the end byler endgame that is my vision stranger writers pleeaasseeee let me in please i have it wired.

always i always have podcast recs yes absolutely. i have actual plays, fiction and nonfiction in that order

not another dnd podcast: if you watch dimension 20 stuff this is a must listen imo, and even if you don’t i would consider this to be the platonic ideal of just a dnd podcast. it follows the rules of the game and has a story thats sensible to the game setting, but the characters are just so phenomenal. its filled with so much kindness and humor. its about three people trying to save the world from the ‘people’ who saved the world the last time it needed saving. i love it. it’s first full season is completed.

dungeons and daddies: this is for people who have listened to too many dnd podcasts and/or hate dnd. it’s about four dads from like real life who got sent to dnd land to try and save their sons. i think it took them 29 episodes to have a real like a real to the mechanics dnd fight? it’s extremely comedic but then also gets too real sometimes, you know, the perfect balance.

campaign: they don’t play dnd but its still an actual play podcast. they have two games, the first one is a star wars game, the second one is about sky pirates. you will laugh you will cry youll be mildly horrified, it’s great, every day im deep in my feeling about this one. the second campaign has real good music and cats the musical musical parody. otto van von veen....

friends at the table: friends at the table is... so powerful... unbelievably powerful... they have a lot of games, fantasy, scifi, whatever bluff city is. this is definitely the longest option, you can jump on anywhere that isn’t the later heiron seasons. their current season, PARTIZAN, is about a revolution and also a little mechanical god murder on the side, and not to give into recency bias but imo the best. it also has original music playing and its chef kiss perfection.

fiction time

wooden overcoats: its a comedy podcast about english funeral directors. it has two full seasons with their last one coming out soonish. one of the main characters is a mouse who is a best selling author. its one of those. very light hearted (except for when it rarely isn’t). i think its the podcast i’ve listened to the longest technically?

dreamboy: its weird, its dark, its gay, its unrepentantlly horny. it’s a meditation about sexuality and also destiny and also the evils of capitalism and also its a musical. its finished and not very long and just astonishing. listen to it with headphones on though if you live with people.

brimstone valley mall: its about four demons stuck working in a mall a month before y2k happens. remember y2k? its pretty funny, with some pretty decent character writing. the first season isn’t complete but what is out is pretty enjoyable. also the demons are pretty original as far as demons in a story go so points for that.

the magnus archives: i’ve been shilling for this since 2018 and its’ gotten big enough that i dont really need to do that anymore, but if you like horror and tragedy this thing is pretty good.

hey what about real life now

meddling adults: its a game show where grown adults try to solve mysteries like scooby doo and encylopedia brown for charity. it’s fun, the host and the guests are all peppy and its fun to see if you can either a) remember or b) figure it out before they can.

waypoint radio: its a video game podcast that talks about video games and also the video game industry and also politics sometimes. five star podcast five star run time there are episodes that are four hours long. i listen to it religiously

emojidrome: its described as an emoji aesthetics podcast but its basically those tumblr posts that rank different brand’s emoji in audio form. i think its funny. the hosts are great.

desperate acts of capitalism: this is just rich hubris the show. its good in a fun fact kind of way. or if you like laughing at rich people ignoring the obvious signs of a company’s downfall and doubling down on bad choices.

okay! lets do this (this may be a very long post with lots of my random opinions but we’ll go with it) (and also please bear in mind these are jokey and in no real way a representation of these real people with real actual lives.)

***spoilers for most D20 seasons with this cast***

1.The babysitting 

Actual parent:Brennan 

From my experience DMing, you are effectively a parent to the players. He would also be an excellent dad

Wine aunt: Siobhan

Siobhan gives me vibes of someone who would take a bottle of wine to go babysit, then sit and tell the kids stuff about cults that they weren’t meant to hear. She would definitely teach the kids swear words, and they would love their cool auntie 

Great at babysitting: Lou

Part of the key to babysitting is being relatable to the kids, but also self assured enough to get them to behave. the person who holds that key is Lou Wilson. He also has played dad-energy characters, and that is the kind of vibes that you look for in a babysitter. 

Mediocre at babysitting: Murph

This scenario needs some theatre of the mind. Imagine Murph, he’s read all the babysitting books, he knows everything he could need to know, he lives with Emily Axeford. He’s more than prepared for this task. He tries so hard. The kids love him. The kids also walk all over him. They don’t get to bed in time. He wanted to do a good job. He tried so hard to do a good job. Yet somehow, luck is against him. 

The house is on fire, God is dead: Emily

Fig. Sofia. Jet. All three of these characters would set a house on fire without hesitation, and not one fears God. What does this have to do with Emily’s babysitting ability? Well, all these characters are teaching us to be chaotic beings, just like Emily. We are the children, and D20 is our babysitter. Emily would only replicate the same thing in this babysitting scenario. 

The children: Zac and Ally

I believe it was episode 9 of the unsleeping city. Neither Zac nor Ally were involved in the scene in question. Siobhan makes a reference to Eliza Doolittle, to which Zac makes a Dr Doolittle joke. Beardsley then shouts ‘I can see my dick’, a reference to a different film. This is fairly normal behaviour, and would not make either of them children in this scenario, had they not continued to hysterically laugh for the next ten minutes or so. Sat at opposite sides of the table. I think Zac starts crying at some point. They are absolute children, and also both have strong baby energy. Neither babysit, they are the ones that need babysitting. 

2. Can they be killed?

Cannot be killed: Brennan

The man is a God. Enough said. Also I’m pretty sure your body would reject your soul before it allows you to kill him. 

Can only be killed by one thing: Siobhan

You would be tricked into thinking Siobhan would be easy to kill- her constitution score is so low, after all. However, you would be wrong. The low constitution score has only made her stronger. More aware. What is the one thing that can kill her, though? Nobody knows, she’s only told those she truly trusts. It could be the most rare poison in the world. Or it could just be Mike Trapp. He (allegedly) has previous.

Can be killed but it won’t last: Emily

It is not anything to do with Emily that her death won’t last. In fact, Emily would be pretty easy to kill. However, if you kill her, Murph will do everything in his power to bring her back. He travels to the end of the earth, and then Emily Axeford is back and gets her new death date in a fancy gothic necklace.

Can be killed but at what cost?: Lou

What cost? The cost to the world. The world would be significantly worse off. You wouldn’t be able to live with yourself. It’s not worth it.

Can be killed but it’s not worth it: Murph

It’s not worth killing Murph because you would have precisely 0.7 seconds before you were killed by Emily. There is no way you can profit from this scenario, you would be dead before you even realise you’ve been successful. 

Can be killed and it would be pretty funny: Zac

I feel like we don’t discus the correlation between Zac Oyama characters and dying enough. Gorgug was the first D20 death. Lapain was the first D20 perma death. Ricky just like had a weapon that causes him to die. If you killed Zac, it would just be funny because its happened so much. Sorry Zac.

Can be killed but why would you, you monster?!?!: Ally

We’ve already discussed this. Beardsley is Baby. Leave them alone. 

Please kill them they suck: Box of Doom

3. The fitness gram pacer test

this is definitely the most controversial of the charts, but there’s three of things you need to understand about my reasoning.

1. Zac is fast at running  

This has been seen a couple of times, namely: adventuring party, where Zac tried to tease Brennan about showing off how fast he his at running, but it turns out it was just Zac speaking his mind, and he is the one who always shows off at how fast he is at running. Also, the video on Siobhan’s instagram of Zac jumping over that table. 

He is also very bad a squats. Why would you be bad at squats? Bad knees. Why would you get bad knees? Running without sufficient warm up. Why would you skip warm up? Because you are very focussed on being able to run fast. 

2. Zac is willing to defend his title of running fast

The way he accused Brennan on adventuring party, he knew what he was doing. Sabotage. Brennan may also be able to run fast, but Zac would prevent him from getting a good score. How? He has his ways. Zac is a good boy, but not when it comes to running fast.

3. I felt bad

I had to give Zac at least one good one :)

Anyways onto the other choices:

Actually tried and got a low score: Brennan, Murph, Siobhan

We’ve already spoken about how Zac sabotaged Brennan to be the best at running. Murph is here because he would try really hard but something unlucky would happen. His shoelaces come untied. He accidentally gets caught in the Zac/Brennan feud. 

Siobhan started off with the intention to try, but after Lou, Emily and Ally had all done, she realised they were in fact much more interesting than the fighting going on. She walks out mid lap 

Didn’t try, got a low score, doesn’t give a shit: Lou and Emily

Its important to understand that both Lou and Emily are capable of getting a high score, they are just better than the whole thing. Why is their DnD group doing a pacer test? Why did Zac suspiciously force them to do this whole thing? 

The difference between them is Lou knows the feud is stupid and has like actual work to do? He sits and auditions for some other big film. He still watches over his laptop. 

Emily however, simply wants to watch the world burn.

Despite their different approaches to the situation, they both have a bet going on who’s going to be the fastest runner.

Ran one singular lap and finished: Ally

Ally Beardsley shows up at the track wearing a rainbow bucket hat and a tie dye shirt that is impracticable to run in. They have a llama with them. At no point do they explain this. They walk round the track once, drink their water from a plant pot, then spend the rest of the time cheering on the others with words that don’t quite make sense. 

4. Storming Area 51

They cant stop us all: Zac and Brennan

Neither mean it maliciously, but both believe entirely in what they are saying. 

Brennan is definitely the guy to go mad over a conspiracy theory. He made all the crown of candy NPCs. He is basically betraying himself. He knows not to trust anyone. He doesn’t trust area 51. The next season of dimension 20 is this as a subliminal messages all the way through. 

Zac says it accidentally. He’s making a character for the charity livestream. He’s still got a hundred hours of character making left. He’s done so many bad squats. Unintentionally, he makes a character that forces all the zesbians to storm area 51. 

Have fun getting shot, dumbasses: Lou

The rest of the cast are being weird again. Lou is equally as capable of being weird, but sometimes they need to chill. It starts with Emily talking about diner ice. It finishes with Brennan wearing a foil hat at all times. 

You guys stop, someones actually gonna do it: Murph

Murph is a good, lawful boy.

Actually shows up: Emily and Siobhan

They ride a motorcycle there together. They wouldn’t have gone alone, but as a duo they are an unstoppable pair. Emily wants to break into a government facility. Siobhan desperately want to be in the real life x-files.

One of the Aliens: Ally

Emily and Siobhan open a door at area 51. Behind it is Ally Beardsley. They are wearing a rainbow bucket hat and a tie dye shirt. They have a llama standing behind them. This is not explained at any point. They drink from a flower pot and eat a quesadilla that appears out of nowhere. 

5. Stabbing 

Would never stab anyone: Murph

Murph is a good, lawful boy

Would stab in retaliation: Lou, Murph, Zac

Lets be honest, the entirety of a crown of candy so far has been these three taking stabs (or metaphorical ‘where is your bulb now’ stabs) as retaliation for a stab another one of these three had done.

Yells “I won’t hesitate bitch” first: Ally and Siobhan

I can’t really explain this one much more other than i’m pretty sure both these people have said this phrase at least once in their life.

Would stab as a warning: Emily

This would be promptly followed by Murph getting her to stop stabbing. Or, depending on the situation, encouraging her to keep stabbing.

6. The water fountain

Fills up a bottle and drinks from it: Lou and Siobhan

This is the normal way to drink from the water fountain. They were also both very concerned at watching Beardsley’s various different drinking apparatuses in adventuring party. 

Bought 4 water bottles so this wouldn’t happen: Murph

He is prepared. Something probably still goes wrong, but at least he’s got three water bottles left. 

Drinks straight from the tap: Brennan

Brennan is a busy guy. The tap is there, it’s convenient, he needs to get back to planning. There’s so many campaigns, so many characters, so many voices. 

Dehydrates: Zac

Honestly I’m not sure if this man would drink water if nobody told him so

Drinks from a puddle: Ally

like they drink from a vase with a flower, a puddle really isn’t that much of a stretch.

Licks the tap: Emily

She just wants to see the world burn. Also, she knows Brennan drinks straight from the tap. She has to get payback somehow. 

7. A child starts crying

Makes the child laugh: Lou

We’ve already discussed how Lou has dad energy. I feel like he’s know exactly what to say and how to act to get the child to stop crying. This is less stupid than the rest of my explanations, but I always love how expressive Lou is when he plays dnd. I’m not sure whether its the way he holds himself or the way he gestures, but I’m pretty sure if I was a crying child, I would stop crying if Lou Wilson told me a joke in that very soothing point.

Tries to play with the child: Siobhan and Ally

These two kinda give me older/younger sibling vibes. As a team I recon they could create a game that would calm this child down. Also Ally knows techniques to help adults calm down, they could probably implement these ideas into a game for children.

Gives detailed instructions: Murph

His knowledge comes from the books he has read to learn how to babysit, and the one time he babysat. His explanation is rather frantic however, mostly because he is trying to defend Emily in his answer.

Cries with the child: Zac

He’s sad because all his friends are speaking to this child an nobody noticed how fast he just ran.

He’s also baby, as we’ve said previously, so he probably relates to the child somewhat

The reason the child is crying: Emily and Brennan

The child just watched episode 9 of a crown of candy.

So, to conclude, the sexuality/gender hcs written in the tiny text (or small talk as Finn put it) is what’s happening in this AU. Bascially no one The Party is straight, they run a youtube channel that was originally just them playing DnD and is now a bunch of other shit alongside the DnD, Will has a huge crush on Mike and everyone knows but Mike, they have an incredible fan base which Max is very much secretly part of, and I think that’s it! Anyone wanna add anything?

I hate how wiped out I feel after work. And like it extra sucks because I like this site! But 7 hours with no break is a lot and I just feel a little beat up. And it makes it hard to actually do anything at all after work. But man am I trying. 

I didnt sleep the best last night. James didnt either. I dont even know why. We both just woke up feeling low. I let myself sleep in an hour later then I had wanted because I had felt so bad. It helped a little but it was still not great. 

I got up though and tried to feel like a person. But because I lost that hour I felt a little all over the place. Trying to clean up the apartment and get dressed and put things away. I was having trouble focusing on one task. Eventually I did finish getting washed and dressed and was alright. But yeah. I was feeling pulled in many directions. 

I wanted to draw today but that never happened. Instead I focused on finishing the first sock and I did it! Its a little pointy and square but I am super excited about it!! It took me until about 1030 to finish that. I watched some videos and stuff while I did that and it was honestly a pretty okay time. 

As I finish that up James needed some help with their headphones. They werent connecting and no one could hear them. So I tried to help with that, and honestly it helped me leave a little later and not be wildly early to the site. So it all worked out. 

James had made me thai tea but didnt put sugar in it so it tasted a little off. I added the sugar but it wasnt the same as adding it when its hot. Ah well. I appreciated the help. And the drink. 

I walked to the Y. Clocked in only a couple minutes early and only slightly winded. I was happy to see the kids. 

And it was a mostly really nice day. I had all the art set up for them. I brought play dough so the kids had fun playing with that today too. Everyone was a little naughty today, but except for one big blow up, everything was alright. And I had a good time. 

I started my shift with 8 kids, and it would slowly wind down. I sort of lost motivation half way through the day when I had a nose bleed in the bathroom. Felt a little woozy. But I got to just sit and enjoy one of the older girl's company. I worked on my second sock and showed her how to use a loom as well. So that was fun. And I am most of the way done that so Im pretty excited. I hope to finish this tomorrow and then learn to make a heel and make another pair. Just get better every time. 

The kids had a yoga class in the afternoon. I spent that time cleaning and when I was done that I spoke to a parent for a bit. And then joined in for the breathing exercises. Just a little meditation. 

We took the kids to the gym at the very end of the day. And lucky us they all started getting picked up early. So by 5 we only had 1 kid. 

I got to sit at the desk and watch the door for a half hour. I worked on my sock and just chilled. It wasnt a real break but it was quiet. 

I got to leave a little after 530. So I got to walk home in lots of light. I was thinking about going to walgreens to look at the easter section but was to tired and holding two bags so straight home instead. 

James was finishing up work. We decided to have leftover pizza for dinner and work on our lego flowers. We made 5 of the flowers and Im really excited about how they look. We have them in a vase right now. Well a pitcher we use as a vase. But it looks so nice. Im so glad I found these. 

I played a little animal crossing. James sat with me for a bit. I had a second nose bleed! And James is talking to a friend about DND now. I worked in the studio a little bit. Made a demo for a project with the kids. Well see how it goes. 

Now though I am going to wash my hair and lay down. I hope tomorrow I can feel a little more lively and it can just be a fun day. I hope you all do too. Goodnight everyone!
