As a european, I wonder why is almost all the food in the U.S taste like shit.

I once visited a McDonald's and a day later Arby's just out of pure curiosity. Very little difference. Same tasteless shit filled with chemicals and seasoned with pesticides.

It's also very fucking expensive. Before my departure, I visited a local sandwich place in New York. My sister in Christ... 8 dollars for a fucking sandwich? And I also have to tip the fucking waiter for doing their job?

Maybe it's just me who is unlucky.

it really does depend on where you go tbh… fast food places (especially arby’s and mcdonald’s lol) are not a great way to gauge the deliciousness of american food at all. you gotta go local if you want to eat well and that should be an obvious fact

my best tip is: if whatever american city you’re in has a subreddit (ex: r/austinfood, r/chicago), search the sub for restaurant recs! or just for a certain food item you want in general. locals will probably know which places are touristy so look for those claiming to live in the city lol, they’ll generally receive and give better recommendations

that’s how i’ve found the best places wherever i go! however. good food will probably be expensive. that’s just the way it is now, unfortunately. and at this point, $8 for a sandwich seems pretty cheap to me, especially if it’s not fast food 😭

i promise you can find actually good food, it’s just a bit of a search lol.

He thinks nanami is into mythology and thank goodness he's The Top Sorcerer because he can just easily peruse thru his clan houses many libraries to find out the origins of different yokai and spell, but actually nanami is into european and danish mythology and has been getting into those to reconnect with his danish roots

He knows that nanami likes bread and cooking so he gets really into baking to let them have something to talk about and makes him all sorts of sweet breads and milk breads and pastries, and completely forgets about the fact that oh shit. Right. Nanami hates sweets. And he just made an entire croquembouche.
